Great place to stop by and try new board games with friends! The staff there have a good idea of how to play the games so can give you a quick run down if the rules start getting too complicated. Tasty and easy finger food is available while you play. The karaoke booths are also great!

I went here for karaoke and not for board games so cannot comment on the board games. However, I loved the karaoke aspect of this cafe, the individual rooms are spacious and clean, and a nice atmosphere with some lights and plenty of microphones (even one big one on the stage for someone to shine), the toilets were pretty clean too. There was a wide selection of songs to choose from, including different languages of songs too! The graphics of the videos sometimes did not match the actual music video of the song and was a poor quality (not HD) but the sound quality was good and sound is the most important factor. Moving onto the food, I had the popcorn chicken with rice, which I highly recommend, it had a lot of flavour and was delicious. The popcorn chicken was crunchy, and all the flavours balanced well with the egg and spinach. However, be aware there are chunks of fatty pork in the rice when you order if you are not a fan of this. They also have a wide variety of drinks to choose from. I had the plain milk tea which was delicious, had a strong tea flavour, very sweet and refreshing. Overall, the experience was great for the price and would come again for karaoke and even try the board games aspect of the cafe! Service was great too!

This place has an awesome games library, good eats and drinks and plenty of karaoke rooms to hire, as well as tables to play games at. My only thoughts are that they need to use coasters so games don't get damaged from liquids, and the collecting of used dishes is a bit slow. Other than that, it is a good time out for whatever your taste in games/music is.

Marche is famous for two things – its Taiwanese cuisine and the wide variety of board games available for customers to play (back when dining in was an option). Still, in the absence of being able to dine in, Marche is still worth a try for its affordable and delicious Taiwanese food. Flavours are a plenty here. The 3 Cups Chicken and Minced Pork both showcase amazing depth of flavours, as does the crispy Popcorn Chicken and the moreish Taiwanese Sausage. Well-seasoned and deeply savoury, the dishes here are downright enjoyable. Each main meal comes with a complimentary bubble tea. The drinks here are reasonably tasty, and the pearls are decent. Keep an eye out for the personalised drawings and messages on each of the cups!

I really enjoyed this place with my hubby for our anniversary celebrations. The atmosphere was really welcoming and also buzzing with people, the place was chockers on a Saturday afternoon. Our games guide gave us 2 really easy and good games to play that we both thoroughly enjoyed, explaining all the rules which saved us so much time trying to figure out how to play. Also the food and drinks were delicious. We had the meat platter which had an amazingly glazed sausage that will sit in my memory forever, as well as some yummy dumplings. Definately recommend for a fun time that's a little off the beaten path.

A really relaxed fun place to come play board games or enjoy Taiwanese food for lunch. They have several rooms for karaoke parties as well as lots of areas and a huge selection for board games. The food here is excellent and they have some unusual types of bubble tea too.

HUGEEEE variety of board games available. Quite cheap if you're just paying to play board games; you then pay for food separately. Very affordable and can stay for as long as you want! Great seating availabilities indoors; and even has a Karaoke bar! (can get quite loud if you're sitting near that area... don't think the walls are sound proof). We stumbled across Marche Board Game Cafe by accident when wandering round Melbourne as tourists! We took a picture of the front door and vowed to come back when we had a free evening. We visited tonight around 7pm and the cafe was busy but we managed to get a table. It was very reasonable at just $24 for three hours of board games and that included any drink from the extensive menu too. Sadly no alcohol served but we still managed to enjoy each other’s company!! We couldn’t believe the amount of games there was to choose from - literally if you thought of it, they had it on the shelves. We enjoyed a game of Guess Who and a game of Cluedo too which we forgot how good it was. It was so nostalgic. 100% recommend visiting - the milkshakes and bubble tea were top notch and although we didn’t try it, the food smelled amazing too.

I come here almost every week. Staff there are always friendly, accommodating and cheerful. Good board game collection, from lighter games such as Catan to more complex games like Wingspan. The bubble tea and food is also pretty good, I really enjoy the Thai milk tea and matcha. The matcha lattes are a highlight too as they are definitely generous on the matcha flavour, which is a nice surprise. The food is also decent, while many dishes are your average fare the bao and popcorn chicken dishes don't disappoint.

We went there for take away lunch and ordered the pork belly rice and pop corn chicken noodle with two bubble teas. The food was delicious and authentic tw flavor. Most importantly all the take away container are BIODEGRADABLE!! This means so much to me, as all the take away Resto I had use so much plastic. I went there with my friends the other day, the food was average, though their milkshakes and other drinks were great! They offer a wide variety of board games, however some games were visibly old and a little dirty. There was hand sanitizer at each table, however there was no soap in the bathroom's dispenser - which I think was quite concerning during covid times. Also, the bathroom floors were wet. The place's atmosphere was warm and cozy. The chairs were comfy, but had stains. Honestly, I think if you're planning on playing board games with a big group of friends you're better off buying a game and eating elsewhere. $15 gets you 3 hours with games you choose and a drink. ALSO, please note there is a NO SPLIT BILLS.

Great people and staff. The food was great and there are so many options from games like catan and coup. It is a peaceful and fun environment to enjoy on any night. They also have joined a great initiative to fight against food waste with "Ywaste", so I was able to take a delicious meal home after a great night with my friends. Me and my friend come here for karaoke all the time and always have so much fun! It's great value (we usually go weekdays 5 hours for $22 pp and drink included), the private rooms are spacious and fun, there's a massive range of songs to choose from, and a really unique and delicious food and beverage menu. The staff are also very positive and bright, makes for such a good day out. I am always recommending this place to my mates for private karaoke!!

A bit of a pricey place but the addition of free drinks and karaoke was nice. Staff were quite dull and quick to send you off, not too welcoming but gave us an extra song after our time was up. But i guess did their job in the end. Song selection could be even better despite being already very large, I suggest some daniel caeser, phum viphrit, hyukoh, rex orange county and frank ocean songs. Getting backing tracks for some of these artist wont be too hard. Besides this, very cozy place.

It's a good spot and would be a lot of fun with a larger group who were into playing boardgames. Some of the drinks are a bit expensive, but you get one included in the standard $12 for 3 hours boardgame deal. The food is quite good, with a number of healthy, yummy bowls. The place can be extremely crowded at popular times in the evenings, especially around the weekend. There are karaoke rooms available for rent too.

I loved how inviting and relaxed it is! Granted, I came at lunch during the week. I had the Exploding Chicken Rice bowl. The dishes are named after board games! It is super fun and because you pay for your time, you don't feel pressured to leave. That is a nice thing in the city. The only problem is the karaoke was very loud, so we got to hear everyone sing- good and bad. If you do karaoke, you can guarantee everyone can hear you! 😱

However, 12 bucks for 3 hours per pax with a drink is not for everyone. The menu items served are affordable but portion sizes leans on the lighter side. In short, a great place to hang out and play some board games but food portions may not satisfy everyone. Staffs are helpful too but service are delayed when there's a crowd coming.

Would have liked some variation from the seemingly same song by Post Malone on repeat for 3 hours but apart from that would recommend!

Decent selection of board games, which will definitely be worthy of multiple re-visits. 9/10 The karaoke section, on the other hand, is a 7/10 at best. Rooms are small to medium-sized; decent song selections of multiple languages (English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, etc.), although not too up-to-date; pretty poor user interface for song selection. Staff that work both sections are pleasant and friendly!

Enjoyed my time here. Wide selection of board games. There were some games which they hadn't gotten ready for customers yet, but it means they try to keep adding to their collection, which is absolutely great! Food and drinks are reasonably priced, so is the fee to spend a few hours getting lost in the board games world. Staff were polite and friendly, and it was a good welcoming atmosphere, yet cosy enough that you do want to stay there for awhile. My only suggestion for improvement is to maybe ensure that the toilets have enough toilet paper. Other than that, I'm definitely looking forward to going back again!

They've refurbished the place ... I think. Then again, it's been awhile since we've been here.... Spacious rooms, enough to social distance (no pun intended) post covid19 and its good to be able to karaoke again. Songs are hard to find on the song selection thingy... mostly cuz it is in their original language (example, Japanese or Korean) and if you don't read the characters that well... you can't find it. It would be nice if when you type in English by spelling the name, the search will pick up the romaji characters too.

Boardgame cafe is really intimate, fun and great value for money. However the karaoke experience was poor. The rooms are very small with little room to dance, half our microphones didn't work and it was very expensive considering the condition of the rooms.

For board games in city defs a great place to go to with a group of friends. Prices are worth it, also complimentary drinks were provided for the session which basically would cover the cost of the session. There's also a karaoke area at the back, but never tried it but it seemed awesome as I walked past to go to the bathroom.

Are the beers family unfriendly? How? Anyway, 3/4 of your clients are 18-30 who are like children (which is not bad) but not having children, and i haven't seen many families coming, maybe you should aim different clientelle?

Love the karaoke experience here, with a family-friendly environment and the option to play board games. I was surprised at the quality of drinks and food offered at this place as I didn't expect much from a karaoke place. But they had a great selection of bubble tea drinks that tasted comparable to Chatime or Gongcha. Their Taiwanese braised pork rice was delicious with steaming rice at a very reasonable price :) maybe avoid the kaarage chicken which can be bland. Will come back again!

The KBOX web app for picking songs is one of the best there is. Reserving online worked out just fine.
