I’m not vegan but I like to try all different bits and bobs that I find. I had one of their vegan salads that just burst with flavour. It was really nice. Def worth a visit.

No.19 is a gorgeous light filled cafe located along Union Road, Ascot Vale.
Visiting for lunch we ordered the Dauphinoise Benedict, mushrooms and the orange blossom pancake to share. For drinks we had the tropicola and snickers smoothies. Everything we ordered came out beautifully presented.
Out of the three dishes the Mushrooms was my favourite. The pan roasted mushrooms worked beautifully with the brocollini, mushroom pate, alfalfa, grana Padano, poached egg & sourdough toast. It was tasty and full of flavour. I highly recommend it if you love mushrooms.
Rather than the traditional bread, the Benedict here features Dauphinoise potatoes along with 24hr slow cooked pork, spinach and crisp kale. The eggs were perfectly poached, the pork was tender and I really enjoyed the crisp kale. Overall it was delicious and filling, although I found it to be on the richer side and I’d suggest ordering this dish to share.
The orange blossom pancake was light, soft and fluffy. Served with macadamia ice cream, wattleseed, crunchy nut clusters, mandarin compote and dulce de leche, it was sweet but not overly sweet. I loved the variety of textures and the mandarin flavour.
My friend and I both enjoyed our smoothies. The tropicola was refreshing and the snickers was creamy and delicious.
Overall I had an amazing experience at No. 19. I loved the food, friendly service and beautiful interior. I rate it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5 and recommend checking them out if you’re in the area. Thanks very much for having me.

I am pretty sure No.19 Cafe is no stranger to brunch lovers in Melbourne.
Popular with its inventive brunch menu and beautiful interior, I always look forward to revisit this brunch spot. My fave is their Orange blossom pancake which comes with macadamia ice cream, wattle seed, mandarin compote and segments and dulce de leche.

We ordered the brown rice bowl, dirty chai, soft shell crab burger and a lotus biscoff shake. The brown rice bowl was delicious, not a single grain left in the bowl. Their chips were very crispy, and same with the soft shell crab. Delicious! I'm not a big fan of the dirty chai but the shake was good.
Bright, stylish and beautiful space with friendly staff. Will definitely revisit!

Visited this pretty little cafe the other day to try their new menu! 🥰 The interior of this cafe is very aesthetic & the staff are so lovely ! ✨
My favourite dish was definitely the Dalphinoise Benedict! The crunchy potato, pulled pork & hollandaise were a match made in heaven with the perfect runny eggs on top! Super yum! 💛
The orange blossom pancake was super unique & loved how smooth & velvety the ice cream was! 🍊🌿✨
Crab burger was a little bit of a miss for me in my opinion sadly… the crab itself was really crunchy however, it was pretty average & the tomato did not really go with the crab! 😕
Best drink was definitely the Biscoff thick shake! Super yum! 🤎
C. J.
Lovely brunch and good coffee. Had the chili scramble which was yummy. Will be back to try the rest of the menu :)

Came here for brunch. From the outset, customer service was a 10/10.
We ordered a meal to share, the Eggs Benedict. The lovely staff member said she will bring us a share plate.
When the food arrived, they had served it on 2 plates in equal portion. Never had this experience.
Needless to say, the Eggs Benedict was on point!
Can’t wait to come back again.

Can’t stop raving about the brunch we had at No.19. Honestly one of the best brunches we’ve had in Melbourne. We sat in the sunshine, sipped on coffee and munched on eggs Benny, superfood salad and the most amazing sweet brunch dish ever... the CROFFLE! Waffled croissant with cheesecake cream, caramel, white choc and citrus sorbet. Delicious! Highly recommend you add this place to your brunch list. Not only for the tasty food, but for the pretty cafe and friendly, smiling staff.

Brunch @no.19society ❤️ We absolutely loved their menu and such a great variety too. They have just released a few new dishes to their menu and we had to try them out.
Dauphinoise Benedict dish was an absolute standout. 24hr slow cooked pork, crispy potato stack, poached egg, hollandaise, spinach and crisp spiced kale. This was such an amazing combo.
Orange blossom pancakes the flavours were so delicious. Definitely taking my boys for the pancakes soon.
If your after something more light definitely go for the superfood salad, you can add grilled chicken, seared salmon or poached egg to it. I ordered it with the grilled chicken and it was absolutely delish.
Lotus vegan milkshake and mango mylk protein smoothie are a must try too.
We absolutely loved everything we ordered. You definitely have to try out @no.19society located in Ascot Vale.
We had the following
💕Dauphinoise Benedict
💕Superfood Salad
💕Orange Blossom Pancakes
💕Lotus Milkshake
💕Mango Mylk Protein Smoothie
R. T.
The minute you step into No.19 Society you feel at home. The decor is filled with gorgeous plants and comfortable table settings. Fortunately for me there was also a dog dining out the front. Friendly staff as well!
What we ordered:
Breakfast Burger
Dauphinoise Benedict
Chicken Cotoletta Panini
Oreo Thickshake
Maximize Juice
The panini was loaded! If you’re after a panini that will fill you up all day then this is the one. The Benedict as always was a winner. The hollandaise sauce was amazing as was the accompanying spiced kale. Lastly, the brekkie burger w/ halloumi was very satisfying! At times we like to head back to basics with our dishes and this one hit the spot.
Lovely breakfast / lunch spot. Highly recommend!
J. L.
In love with the heavenly Croffle dish here! Waffled croissants, pairing with citrus sorbet, cheesecake cream, caramel and white chocolate - absolutely best combo of flavours!! The croissants are so flaky, the dish’s not too sweet but refreshing🥰
Loved our savoury dishes as well! The Brown Rice Bowl coming with torched citrus salmon (SO DELISH!!), avo and sautéed spinash. Another divine dish was KBBQ Burger - flavoursome beef bulgogi and torched mozzarella, nothing we can flaw!
Incredible brunch dishes, exceptional coffee and most welcoming and helpful staffs. Will definitely come back for more!
J. W.
This place is always a favourite when we’re visiting family in Melbourne. The food is always fresh and tasty, the staff are always super friendly and efficient and the venue is always clean and bright.
Highly recommended for a quick coffee through to takeaway or even a proper sit down meal.

I was lucky enough to be invited to visit this gorgeous cafe located on Union Road in Ascot Vale
We got to try a few dishes from the menu which were all absolutely delish!
Firstly were absolute suckers for their “Croffle”made up of waffled croissants, cheesecake cream, caramel, white chocolate shard, citrus sorbet, lime and dried mint 🥐
We also dined on their obligatory Avocado toast, cause you can never go wrong with an avo toast and it was absolutely bangn 🥑 as well as their take on an Eggs Benny with a burnt butter hollandaise which was also delish but probably my least favourite of the lot if I had to choose one!
The interior and service we received was both amazing and the food came out quite quickly for how busy the cafe was!
Absolutely loved our time at this gorgeous cafe and cannot wait to come back to try the remainder of their menu ✨
J. D.
The kids come here every week to get a milkshake. The kids nearly always love their milkshakes and the staff are very friendly. Sometimes it’s a long wait (15 minutes) because it’s a popular cafe but I would definitely come here if you are not in a rush. .

No 19 is a modern cafe with great decor a fantastic menu and wonderful service. The cafe was bustling which is always a sign, I can see why this is such a local favourite.
My friend and I started off with coffees, they were full bodied and smooth, just what we needed first thing in the morning. We shared the avo on toast, superfood salad and croffle and all dishes were presented and tasted beautifully. All the ingredients were fresh really great quality, this cafe really is just amazing.
Thanks for the invite, can't wait to come back.

- LEMON MERINGUE PORRIDGE
- ORANGE BLOSSOM PANCAKE
- SOFT SHELL CRAB BURGER
Would highly recommend the lemon meringue porridge! One of a kind on a cafe menu, its hard to find something like this in other cafes ☺️ their orange blossom pancake is super packed with orange flavours 😋
P. G.
Absolutely loved this place..
Starting interiors- they were on point. From cute little booth seatings to lights and use of gold highlights- creates perfect ambience.
Then coming to food- they had many options and we opted for the smoothies, salmon bowl, lunch special pulled pork eggs Benedict and the Croffle,
Each dish was unique in its own way and absolutely delicious.
N. K. (.
A really nice cafe with simple yet aesthetic decor accompanied with delicious food. I really enjoyed having brunch here. Service was also friendly and accomodating. My favorite of the lot has to be their croffle. The citrus sorbet that came with it was incredibly delicious and refreshing.
N.
Still raving over the super salad as it was that good!! Such a different pairing from my usual brunch go-to's but turned out to be BRILLIANT 😍👌🏽😍👌🏽 I also got to try the Bang Bang, a new addition on their menu which was such a fun and delicious take on bacon and egg with a Sambal twist 👏👏👏
E.
It's always a pleasure to re-visit one of my favourite Northside cafes - No. 19 Society especially finally after lockdown last year but safe to say that the food is just as good and never a disappointment!
Their CROFFLE is the latest addition to their menu, with citrus sorbet, cheesecake cream and caramel omg what an absolute stunner of a dessert brunch dish - 110% RECOMMEND for sweet tooths! The warmth of the crispy, flaky croissant as a base is so perfect.
We shared this, whilst accompanied with my go-to choices of a superfood salad with cured salmon - a fresh and light way to start the day! Plus their milkshakes are super delicious - the coffee milkshake is so creamy and smooth!

With beautiful interiors & a classy setting, No. 19 @no.19society cafe in Ascot Vale is now one of my favourite brunch places in the city. 😀
The service is amazing & the staff super friendly. 👌
The Five Senses coffee is unbelievable here. ☕️
We ordered a Flat White, a marble Hot Chocolate & the Protein Warrior Smoothie which is amazing, with Blueberries, Peanut Butter & Cinnamon.🫐
We had the Brown Rice Bowl with torched citrus Salmon, Avocado, ginger, spiced mayo, sautéed spinach, sesame, furikake and nori which is the best brown rice bowl I’ve ever had. 🍛
Next, we ordered the KBBQ Burger with Beef Bulgogi, torched mozzeralla, kewpie mayo, baby cos, brioche bun served with french fries. I’m not even kidding, this burger is a party in your mouth & a must try. 🍔
We also had the Croffle, which is decadent dessert dish made of Waffled Crossaints, cheesecake cream, caramel, white chocolate shard, citrus sorbet, lime & dried mint. I had heard a lot of good things about this dish, & it didn’t disappoint me. It’s just a mind blowing piece of delicious art. 🧇🥐
Overall, amazing experience, 5 big fat stars, will definitely come back again very soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
T.
This cafe rocks. The service is excellent, professional but friendly and welcoming. Everything was easy.
Initially my strong almond latte was perfect. It was the best one I've ever had, yep its a BIG call. The coffee had a great flavour, the almond milk was creamy and everything was perfect!
My eggs benny were yummy, the eggs soft and perfectly cooked. Great stuff.
I asked for crispy bacon and that's what I got. Delicious crispy tatsy bacon on some yummy sourdough toast.
To finish my bloody mary was spicy, and it was the perfect way to finish my delicious brunch.
I've had coffee here before and it was good, very good so it was great to have brunch here.
This place is a must visit and with trams from the city at the door, its easy to get to.
T. A. F.
The brunch experience at No. 19 is always buzzing, and always a joy. With staples like Eggs Benedict, and unique dishes like the Brown Rice Bowl with torched salmon and the Golden Bircher, there is always something for all tastes and all moods. Great local!
S. R.
I’ve been multiple times here and usually enjoy it. I feel the quality has reduced. The bread was so hard I could barely cut into it and the meal looked quite miserable on the plate. Benedict was nice, asked for crispy bacon and received it burnt. The staff are amazing. I will try again in the hope this was a bad day.
N. L.
A lively cafe for brunch. Coffee was excellent and the service was top notch. I'm a sucker for a good burger for brunch and the bulgogi beef burger sure hit the spot. Can't wait to come back and try other other items on the menu!
j.
a pleasure to be invited here. it was such a cute place with the bestttt team ever!! food came out really quick im really impressed! i love the mango mylk and salmon bowl as well as the sauteed greens 🤍
definitely a place to check out! ✨

@no.19society
This aesthetically beautiful cafe inspired from the ’50s greek designs is all you need for a pleasant brunch outing.
Two things that are of high appeal about this place is their brilliant minimalistic architecture and beautiful dish platting.
A modest menu suitable for everyone (meat-eaters, veggies and vegans alike), this place is super cute for a spot of breakfast or lunch!
Some basic elements that elevate simple dishes like a green salad is their dressings, The Godess dressing is a salad eater’s dream.
How about indulging in a HEAVENLY amalgamation of waffle and a croissant, This is by far my favourite dessert dish. I honestly went gaga post having it.
A cosy setting, friendly staff and uplifting menu, what else one can ask for!
Almond Cap rating- 4/5 😀
A.
Absolutely love their new menu! The croissant waffles are heaven with caramel sauce and lemon sorbet! Wow!!! Then the eggs Benny plus a chilli scramble, all fantastic!
T. D.
I came here with friends for brunch, overall it was great experience, had good time, great food. The coffee is amazing, the food are good as well. A very classic brunch/brekkie place. The restaurant is not a very open space so It can very noisy and loud. I would not recommend for business/discussion meeting here.
M. Y.
A fine establishment, with exceptional food.
The menu exhibits the creative mastery of the Melbourne brunch scene.
High merits go out to the staff - super friendly and diligent (hope they're treated well behind the front).
Worthy of the praise.
H. i.
Always an amazing meal at No. 19 where the food is delicious, and the smoothies and thickshakes are a must order. The Croffle is a sweet tooth's dream - waffle croissant, caramel, cheesecake cream, white chocolate and citrus sorbet, a mix of rich and bold, yet beautifully balanced by the tangy sorbet. The Brown Rice Bowl and Superfood Salad are the ultimate clean eating goals - fresh and bright flavours, and yummy to boot. Don't forget the Biscoff Thickshake, thick and creamy and vegan-friendly too!
K. L.
Awesome food and coffee. Had a great time here after our exercise sesh. Ordered Shakshuka and Mushrooms breakfast - both are top-notch!! Will definitely come back again! (The wait for the food was a bit long since it was a Saturday morning - but totally worth it!)
E. T.
Decor inside was bright and clean. Very modern feel and quite pleasant to be inside this cafe. There were plenty of options to choose from as well. Some fusion going on as well. Brunch options are quite modern too so you don't get your typical 'breakfast' such as Eggs Benedict for example. There were plenty of drinks to choose from too on the page of the menu. The coffee here was done very well too and I was happy with the latte they prepared for me. The only thing is if you are talking to someone who is softly spoken, you may have abit of difficulty communicating as it can get abit noisy when most tables are full. Service was also very good too and we got what we needed. Nothing untoward.
D. N.
There was a bit of a queue on Saturday morning. The host took our name and phone number and then call us when the table is ready. You can roam around the area while waiting.
Food is amazing. Staff were super friendly.
Funny story, my friend ordered the Beef Bulgogi Benny and when the food came, he only saw one beef and it was packed with mushroom. We complained to the waitress and she happily changed it to a new one. There’s another 15 minutes wait. When the correct Beef Bulgogi Benny came, it tasted completely different from the one we got before. But still taste good anyways!
S. t. B.
Everything is on trend here, the decor has clean lines open and not confusing to navigate. Serving 5 senses coffee perfectly brewed your senses are awoken and ready for the food. We enjoyed a Berry & Chia Porridge packed full of goodness. Also we had flaked Salmon on Rye which was a tasty good size meal. The egg was a little over done and the rye toast could have done with a thicker covering of the cream cheese to elevate the dish. If a good old fashioned toasting or focaccia is what you fancy then this will hit the spot. Juices are good. Staff were pleasant but we were unsure which had been assigned to our table when wanting to order or ask a question. A good local cafe to head to.
H. P.
a cute cafe situated in the west, with a minimalistic dining area and a delicious array of menu options. We tried the:
🥑BROWN RICE BOWL: torched citrus salmon, avocado, ginger, spiced mayo, sautéed spinach, sesame, furikake and nori ($19)
🍄MUSHROOMS: pan roasted mushrooms, broccolini, mushroom pate, alfafa, grana padano, poached egg, sourdough toast ($19.50) + salmon and hollandaise ($7.50)
🍳CHILL SCRAMBLE: house made sambal, persian feta, crispy shallots, spring onions, sourdough toast ($18.50) + 2 hash brown ($6)
🍫SNICKERS PROTEIN SMOOTHIE: protein, banana, peanut butter, dates, nectar, almond milk ($9.50)
🥭TROPICOLA SMOOTHIE: mango, passionfruit, coconut water, mint ($9.50)
We agreed that without a doubt, the highlight was the brown rice bowl. It was simple but there was nothing we could change about it- every mouthful was super delicious! The mushroom and chilli scramble was a bit average but there wasn’t anything bad about them either (just didn’t have the WOW flavours the brown rice bowl did ☺️)
The restaurant is super aesthetic and has very homey vibes. I love how they have such a large variety of options on their menu... especially their drinks! They have such an extensive range whether it’s different types of coffee, shakes, smoothies or juices! The staff were super patient, attentive and friendly- very accommodating and lovely service.

Let's start with the coffee. It was bland. Try using different beans. I don't think it's anything the staff were doing wrong.
Not terrible coffee, but not Melbourne standard either.
Food: I had the Korean chicken burger.
The chips were great! Full, crispy, crunchy, well seasoned chips. Yum!
The burger; was alright. Again, not terrible, but not Melbourne standard good. The chicken quality wasn't great. It tasted and felt like grade C meat. On a scale of A to F. It was a bit watery, slimy, fatty, and just not tender.
The sauce and garnishings were good. Presentation was good.
C. C.
Interior design alone is enough to bring in the customers here. Really impressive layout with exposed kitchen and barista bar, counter seats and takeaway section. Five Senses coffee beans worked amazing with the Magic, one of the best I’ve had in this part of Melbourne.
Food menu looked good but tasted unexpectedly bland (Pulled Pork Benedict). Maybe just worth dropping by with friends for a coffee to enjoy the atmosphere.
M. B.
Absolutely popular with the locals. Service is fantastic and the coffee is worth the wait. I'm addicted to the chilli eggs but everything on the menu look amazing.

On Saturday I decided to spend the first half of my long weekend at no.19 society located in Ascot Vale, and I was glad I chose this cute little cafe as my go to! Upon walking in I was taken aback by the minimalistic and modern grey interior, friendly faces and the smell of delicious food flowing through the shop. I can definitely say at this point I was hungry and keen to order my food!
I decided on ordering the vanilla maple porridge, cheesecake island and the sauteed greens! Along with these three delicious dishes I also figured I'd try the Vitamin juice and the Cappucino thickshake. I was honestly blown away by all of these dishes and would not be lying when I say I didnt want this enjoyable feast to end! Everything at this cafe is to die for. My most enjoyable dish would have been the cheesecake island as I am a massive sweet tooth, but there is definitely many choices on the menu to cater for all types of people with different tastes!
If you are looking for a cafe to head to this long weekend, I would definitely reccomend this beauty!
V.
Nice and vibrant cafe. The food is pretty good here; definitely recommend the breakfast ramen, sautéed greens and the chilli egg scramble. Make sure you add the grilled chicken! So yum. The superfood salad was a bit too salty and the breakfast carbonara was bland though.
S. M.
Number 19, have very healthy, and a lot of different meals to choose from. A lot of gluten and dairy free options.
The torched salmon with avo, spinach and brown rice was mouth watering. Delicious and healthy turmeric coconut late, and a small fig and caramel cake to finish it all off. All gluten and dairy free.
Very fresh and relaxing surroundings with happy, friendly and helpful staff. Barista - amazing.
Well done to the owner of No 19, it is very obvious that you really want to give your customers a great dining experience.
I highly recommend No. 19 for your next dining treat.
C. R.
As usual great coffee from Jun but to top it off was offered a complimentary delicious egg & bacon roll by Olivia. Best coffee in Ascot Vale - my bike agrees.
D. S.
Great food. Great ambience. Friendly staff. Got here on a Sunday lunch time so it was busy. Staff attended to their best ability to serve. Overall a great foodie experience. Will definitely be back.
T.
I had the brekkie burg which had bacon, haloumi, egg and a hash brown. It was delicious. Great coffee too. The cafe doesn't look like any cafe in ascot vale. Its very slick and modern.
L.
The food wasn’t bad. However, it definitely didn’t make me salivate or want to come back in a rush. Service was also atrocious which was disappointing and contributed to the 3 star rating.
B.
I really like No.19’s coffee. I always recommend this place to my friends. However, the recently changed food menu is not interesting.
J. S.
Perfect place for everyone!
We really enjoyed all the foods. I am absolutely sure you will love this place.
Don hesitate to visit here!!
Just go and enjoy it!
I. K.
Love their interior full of light and air.
Had my first and only experience with a wellness latte (turmeric coconut).
Friends who’ve tried it love it, but the thing is not for me. The guy who served us saw struggle on my face (I was trying hard to give it a chance) and brought me a cup of beautifully served (with chocolate sticks in it) yummy hot chocolate!
A. n.
1.The menu has been changed. I liked their previous menu
2.kitchen needs exhaust fan, if someone seats inside they'd get annoyed by cooking odor
R. P.
Great food, great coffee although it would be nice if they took bookings.
M. J.
Great service and wonderful food and coffee
J. D.
Nice soft shell crab burger and good coffee. Chips were very fresh and crispy. Worth a visit ;)
D. N.
Lovely, open, and modern cafe with lots of free flowing light pouring in. Coffee tasted great, but the big draw card for me was the pancakes and I was quite hyped to try them...I was disappointed. They came out lukewarm, hard, and looked burnt, they were closer to bread than a pancake.
D. B.
✅ Amazing food
✅ Great coffee (Five Senses)
✅ Friendly & attentive staff
✅ Nice ambience & roomy inside
✅ Easy recommendation
H. A.
Flavourful meals. Friendly and attentive staff. The protein shake was sooo good (I think mango 😄)
A bit pricey. And wouldn’t mind bigger portions.
E. K.
Excellent brunch place offering great coffee and menu with either sweet dishes or savoury. The soba salad comes in a refreshing sauce and noodles were perfectly cooked. The chorizo and prawn scramble comes with a nice chewy and moist sourdough.
Food - 9
Service - 10
Vibe - 10
Price - $$
B. N.
Nice environment and very friendly staff! Many options from the menu looked really good, but the Açai bowl called my attention. Beautiful presentation and good toppings. However, the açai itself wasn’t really tasty... will be back to try other things from the menu!
J. Y.
Not sure what drugs the other reviewers are on, but this place was amazeballs.
The pancake sandwich I ordered was delicious and filling, and extremely well presented. The flavours all went well together. Coffee was great. Got a side of bacon, which was good but not the best I've had.
The atmosphere is great, this place looks the goods. Worth a visit. Good small nibbles at the front counter as well. Service was great and the staff were friendly.
S. Y. L.
The cafe is cute and services is good but the food then I'm not very happy with...maybe is just not what I'm hoping for...Asian chilly eggs on sour bread was very strange to me and the pasta that we ordered was not very special with a price like this. But I guess if you just want a nice place to chill with friends around the area then is still not a bad place to go to.
J. T.
Coffee is good. Ramen noodles can be cook slightly longer. Broth is nice but should be hotter in the pot as the noodles were not hot enough. Winter mushroom dish is nice.
S. G.
The best brunch place ever! The food was so amazing and an exciting drink menu! There was a piece of hair in one meal but the food was so delicious we just didn't care :/
S. F.
Busy Cafe on Union first time here during lunch time on a Thursday. Soft music in the background with a lot of people chatting have a small outdoor seating area.
Tried the cheesecake and wow
S. m.
Great food, interesting decor. The place had a line at 10:30 am on a Wednesday which I believe speaks to the quality of the food. Portions were big enough to till me up for breakfast but weren't too much. If visiting on fur weekend either cine early or be prepared to wait
S.
A well-known local with outside-the-box and fusion café meals. The mushrooms is amazing, as is the brown rice bowl with salmon. The prices are usual Melbourne café prices but you get much more than your average eggs Benedict here. Gorgeous, considered interior and an upbeat atmosphere. You’re always guaranteed a good meal here!
B. R.
Great brunch menu (the orange blossom pancakes are particularly delicious) in a great location with excellent service. I sadly did not get the name of the staff member who looked after us, but she was extremely friendly, attentive and took particular care with dietary requirements!
L. Y. X.
they are friendly and nice, and really busy in the Sunday morning but i get my coffee in few mins. gray job guys ☺️
I. L.
Pretty reasonable food, coffee was great. Nice to try something other than the standard breakfast/brunch type of food that most cafes offer. I had the Bircher muesli with poached fruit - pretty tasty, although the mandarin was a bit too tart for my liking. Would return.
A. K.
A nice vibrant Cafe in beautiful neighbourhood. Juices and chili scrambled eggs must try. Also, famous for French toast.
Changed since covid, CSE are not they used to be . Too oily and seems changed chef.
J. D.
decided to come for a visit during peak hours and i have to say i am very impressed with how they still manage to serve us without making us wait for too long.
A. C.
Staff always friendly and kept us sane with great coffee during Melbourne's never ending lockdowns!

Great Food ! Great Ambience ! Friendly Staff...
Mushroom is the hit dish....
E. E.
Great place for brunch. Simple space and spacious. Impressed with the acai bowl freshness of fruit and combination. Highly recommended, definite neighbourhood gem.
G. A.
Good coffee, very fast service. Though if you like it strong go for the extra shot.
G. H.
Amazing coffee, great little things to go with your coffee, and an amazing breakfast bacon-egg-brioche thingy.
T.
One of our favourite local cafes! Acai bowl is always a hit! The new croffles are to die for!!!
M. H.
My breakfast was delicious & the coffee was so good we had a second. The staff friendly. 👍
B. J.
not that impressed........ was very excited to try based on the hype but out didnt deliver. staff were amazing.... foods was good.... but place was dirty.... crumbs everywhere assess it felt very tired
a. C.
A favourite among locals here in Ascot Vale. Often quite busy so if you're in a hurry for a take-away coffee, I might not bother. But sit-down wise the food, coffee and staff are all top notch. Have been here so many times and will continue to do so. Love it.
K. N.
Friendly and quick to respond staff! High quality food with perfect serving size and fantastic coffee, love 5 senses coffee.
S. K.
Does Western Suburbs proud. Great coffee , smooth and no aftertaste, welcoming staff even though they were busy. An extensive menu not expensive, something for everyone in a slick environment with lots of room.
M. M.
I enjoyed with staff , and product including coffee .
But when is busy has not enough space
S. M.
Lovely staff and so polite but the menu has been changed, so I was not so satisfied compared to couple of months ago.
Z. D.
Nothing too exciting about. Foods look sad but taste is OK, coffee is OK. Water-glass was wet and un-polished when put on the table. The manager was nice and taken feedback seriously though.

As soon as you walk in, you are in awe with the aesthetic of this cafe, minimalistic but yet elegant. The friendly staff greet you and we are under way with some amazing coffee, we ordered the new Bang Bang Bagel which was with a sambal chilli sauce. Amazing! The croffle (A croissant smashed in a waffle iron) is another dish sure to please, mouth watering! Then we finished off with the refreshing Acai bowl, layered with so much goodness and fruits, plus its massive! They do get quite busy, however they have adequate seating to accomodate all!
Thanks so much for the amazing food.
S. C.
Such an aesthetic cafe!! The eggs benedict and the biscoff shake was incredible!! They also had a super innovative croffle dish which was also really yum!! Would definitely recommend checking out this beauty!!
F.
Friendly staff
The coffee was great
Not so tasty meal (I ordered the eggplant dish) .. but it was okay
Suitable prices

No.19's apple Bircher muesli is amazing. I have ordered it everyday for weeks at some points via uber eats before work. (Excessive? Maybe, worth it? Every cent). The cafe itself has an awesome relaxed but classy vibe with a pleasant outdoor curbside space.
Coffee is amazing, keeping with quality Melbourne tradition.
The service is amazing all the staff are great and friendly as hell.
Once more about the amazing muesli, it's a decent size and filling af. Order it. Do yourself a favour, you deserve it.
Thanks guys!
A. C.
Everything was great, friendly fast service, tasty food, great quality, cool decor and music!
M. J.
Everybody should try the adobo bowl. Fantastic interiors and excellent brunch. I'll come back here again.
A. B.
Cool design and a modern menu, didn't get to try the coffee but the Snickers Smoothie Bowl was really good.
D. F.
Honestly, the best breakfast we've had in a LONG time! Everything on the menu looked so appealing, but we just couldn't go past the chocolate brioche french toast, kale superfood salad, the breakfast burger and sweet potato fries. Great coffee too by 5 senses. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the service was prompt. Also, the interior is absolutely gorgeous which made our experience that much more pleasant.
A. T.
Coffee is great, service okay, prices average, wait time variable. Today I waited 20 minutes for two coffees with one person ahead of me.
M.
Great coffee and only $4 for a triple shot latte! Can't wait to try their food!
R. P.
Plenty of seating in this cozy, rosy cafe. Classical and elegant decor with coffee and sweets in the center (most important of course). Lovely staff that were quick to come around to ask for drink and food orders and happy to share recommendations with my friend and I as well. The nutberry smoothie was one of the best smoothies I've had in ages and was delivered promptly. My friend adored her burger and chips, perfect size and delicious. I enjoyed my salad as well but thought it was a bit small and underwhelming for the price. I love coconut yogurt but did not enjoy the combination of flavors with beetroot and salad greens. Could just be my personal taste. Lovely experience and would return to try other options as well.

Our favourite local. Such friendly and amazing service and the greatest coffee! Popping in everyday to get my takeaway coffee and saying hi to the staff during this COVID pandemic has been a true highlight of this season. Thank you No.19 staff!
M. N.
Recently visited this brunch place in Ascot Vale and I must say I’m blown away. Brought to you by the couple behind St Rose in Essendon. The cafe has an elegant and timeless design and it features high ceilings and natural light.
They have an amazing variety on the menu, and its brunch with a twist. There are a few popular dishes on the menu, the croffle is a dessert dish that was really good. The salmon with brown rice was a highlight too, love how the salmon was seared to perfection.
Definitely recommend this place!
G. M.
We had baked eggs, kid's pancakes, hot chocolate, and long macc. Pretty nice place for breakfast.
K. C.
Absolutely love this space, so bright, modern and inviting! The food was delicious and the staff were lovely and welcoming. They made sure we had enough space for our pram which was fantastic!
A. H.
great cafe, reasonable pricing, amazing food, The brekkie roll with Haloumi was so fresh and tasty. service was great even tho they were super busy. cant wait to go back and try their croffle dish
t. c.
Great coffee. The salmon bowl was so tasty.
A. A.
Been meaning to try this place for a while. Walked out a few times cause it was too busy. But we got a seat this morning and here are my thoughts.
Staff are really nice and attentive. Food wait was a little long, but worth the wait. Lan really enjoyed her wrap and gave her tick of approval for their coffee.
My burger was actually really good. Very juicy, so expect a mess. Loved the flavour of even the patty alone. Chips were really nice too and didn't even need the sauce cause the seasoning was good enough.
Worth the visit.
L. A.
My favourite local cafe! The food is delicious (you must try the açai bowl. Just divine!), the place is modern and the staff are attentive and friendly. The coffee is the only thing that could improve, by Melbourne standards.
A. C.
A clean looking fit out with good coffee. I had the torched salmon Brown rice bowl and it was delicious. This place is usually pretty busy on the weekend so it was nice to visit on a quieter weekday.
T. Z.
No. 19 is by the same team as the awesome Pinkie in Ivanhoe, so you know you’re going to be in safe hands. The venue is very well designed and super beautiful with lots of nice booths, big concrete slab counters, nice lighting and plants. It looks great.
Staff are very helpful, fast and nice and the coffee is so good. We just had a latte and flat white, but were eying off some of their other specialty pour overs and batch brews. The menu has all the yum things you would expect (smashed avocado on toast etc) as well as some more unusual things like the breakfast carbonara (we tried it and would recommend!). All in all, super nice food, people and vibe. Would definitely go back again.
S. A.
This cafe is local to us and it has been amazing. Their coffee is to die for their food is very elegant. Portions are decent. The pancakes are a must share if you go there.
I've seen some reviewed commenting on the service, it's actually pretty standard to have to wait to sit in cafes on weekends. Once you're in they're very prompt and haven't once had any issues. I actually think their staff are very friendly.
S. E.
I have visited No.19 many times in the past and have always enjoyed my meals. I recently went with a friend and tried the new menu, which just impressed me beyond what I was expecting!
The cafe is on a gorgeous and busy street. On the day we visited, they were actually celebrating their birthday, so there were balloons and cake, which was such an exciting atmosphere! The interior is modern and chic, with lots of accomodating tables.
We ordered the Brown Rice Bowl, which is a dish I plan to come back and eat over and over again! I didn't think much when I ordered it really but the first bite just shocked me... it was incredible! The salmon was fresh with a hint of citrus to it and came with avocado, sautéed spinach and a poached egg. There was a dressing over the dish that complimented it so well.
We also ordered the Strawberry Fields and it was so refreshing, light and full of flavour. It came with a toasted meringue, which was sweet but balanced well with the strawberries. Then, the showstopper... prosecco jelly! I couldn't stop eating it. The different combinations were just perfect together.
Lastly, we had the Superfood Salad. This was a huge bowl of delicious greens, hummus and massive pieces of halloumi. It was light and perfect for the warm day we visited on.
We were served by Olivia who was incredibly attentive and helpful. She also went out of her way to have a chat with us, which was lovely. Thank you!
N. P.
We came here on Sunday afternoon. At 1.30 pm the cafe was still very busy but the service was fast. We started off with some juices, they are freshly made in house and refreshing. Then we had 3 dishes
🍲Brown rice bowl
🦐Prawn roll
🍓Acai bowl
Every dishes was delicious especially the acai bowl. We think it is one of the best acai bowls in melbourne .
We would come back again for sure!
t. b.
Great looking place. The ramen was delicious. I wanted to try a lot on that menu, so would definitely want to come back
B. G.
Looove the aesthetic of this cafe! it's honestly the nicest cafe in the area. Loved the food! If you're visiting, try the Croffle... it's dense, sweet and delicious 😜
c.
Superb! Staff are always pleasant and polite. The food and coffee is always delicious. The decor of the place is the finishing touch!
M. A.
A very pleasant experience service very good coffee and food also very good
H. D.
thank you very much for having us again!!
I have been this this little beauty 4 times now and it never fails to empress me – always consistent!!
The food is amazing and those smoothies are delicious. My local go to cafe!

This is one of the best brunch spots I've visited! Such a delicious, well executed dishes and friendly, helpful service :)
A. M.
Nice place , delicious food and drinks))
A. H.
Always excellent service. Brilliant coffee, addicted to the sauteed greens and the salmon bowl. Lucky to have this business in Ascot Vale.
T. H.
The salmon brown rice bowl will go down as the best breakfast I've ever had! The spicy kewpie mayo and spices gave the salmon (and the whole dish) the most moorish taste - this dish is seriously to die for.
The Tropicola fruit smoothie was also brilliant - a cool, sweet experience to help calm the heat of a hot summer's day
G. B.
Really love the coffee at this place, try the Filter if you like black coffee, it's always delicious. Was enjoying the porridge, which is odd since that's usually one of the worst items on the menu. Unfortunately the new menu has taken it off. Not really excited about the vegetarian options on the new spring menu but if you eat meat I'd imagine this place would be a pretty amazing place to eat. Exceptionally lovely staff
J. T.
Great interior design - clean, bright and inviting. Service was quick but not very friendly - probably because it was a public holiday. I ordered the Roasted Mushrooms dish and partner ordered the Ramen. Food came out quickly, but I found my dish to be overly salty. The roasted mushrooms were seasoned with salt, the Dijon creme was salty, the bacon was obviously salty, and the crispy fried cauliflower was salted. Not a good taste in your mouth the more you eat it. Poached egg tasted of vinegar and that didn't help either. Hopefully next time we visit, food will be better.
A. G.
Great food and atmosphere. Service was pretty good. Had the detox breakfast, it was so so filling
E. H.
Delicious food, nice atmosphere. The croffles were delicious, the chili scramble was so moreish, definitely recommend
T. A.
There's plenty of parking on the street and friendly staff
The food came very quickly despite the restaurant was full
I ordered the pulled pork with hollandaise sauce. The dish was quite heavy but nice
Wife ordered the Nutella pancakes, this is very very sweet and heavy so was a good dish to share
Restaurant is kid friendly and accommodating.
All in all, fresh and beautiful design
J. E.
Both my wife and I think this could be one of the best breakfast's that we have had in sometime. Freshing and something new. It gets busy here but we will be back for sure. Great place highly recommended.
P. L.
Very nice place for coffee, breakfast etc.
J. P.
I want to say good things but I just can't. Service was OK but scrambled eggs were dry overcooked and oversalted. 5 dollar extras for bacon which was very generous serve but again not great. Less bacon but better would be my feedback
z. a.
We have been going to No.19 since the day it was opened. We have shared great memories there since I was pregnant and up to my son’s first birthday.
Special thanks to Erfan and all the staff who are super friendly and welcoming. They are the gems to this restaurant along with the bright design and yummy vegetarian food.
A. W.
Loved everything about No.19. One of the best places in Melbourne for coffee. New Menu was fantastic. I had the Nourish Bowl which was delish. - Will definitely go back.
A. o.
will definitely try other dishes in the future
J. W.
A beautiful Cafe to stop for lunch, I highly recommend trying the lemon meringue porridge 🤤
Definitely will be back soon
S. S.
Food was really good. Interesting takes on some old classics. Coffee was great. Super loud and difficult to have a conversation. Apart from that, a positive experience.
T. J.
Food was amazing and large portions.
E. U.
Came here on recommendation and must I say I left here with such satisfaction. Let the recommendations continue!
Ps: if you love avocado as much as I do, make sure to try the avocado toast. Nothing, nothingggg like your avocado toast all across Melbourne or Australia or.. you get the drift. It’s one of a kind! Oh god the flavours...
Happy happy joy joy !
Definitely will see me back soon :)
p. s.
We keep going back to No19 and always leave satisfied! great food and service. Smoothies are just amazing!
a. c.
Simply amazing place. From the ice coffee presentation to the Avo Persian fetta w side on chilli dipped lime. Salmon side was so tender and fresh. Highly recommended
S. W.
Beautiful shop. Very hipster. That's what caught my eye in the first place. Would have scored higher except the lady that served me wasn't overly friendly and the coffee cups were on the smaller side and wasn't the smoothest sip either.
T. M.
Food was great, coffee was awesome. Service was professional. Great all round, thanks!
C. D.
Good food and friendly staff. Love their chai tea. A place for good breakfast and lunch. 👍👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤❤.
I. W.
Good food and staff….particularly through lockdown.
R. G.
Been here a couple of times, both have been lovely - even in busy periods service & food have been swift & attentive, & food & coffee delightful. Shakshuka was lively & enriching.
J. N.
Food was delish, especially the breakfast ramen. The let downs were the smoothies and the 10% surcharge on the weekends as the prices are already rather expensive.
B. M.
Nice coffee, friendly and quick service.
J. M.
Awesome food, great atmosphere 😋
A.
Very friendly service and great ice latte. Cookies are huge and very sweet. Best to share
N. S.
Mac and cheese hot dog was very tasty! The chilli scrambled eggs was a bit too spicy for us though.
M. S.
Always a fav great food. Great coffee. The mushys are divine
C. V. L.
Great place for breakfast or brunch. Great scenery. I would suggest going outside of peak trade times otherwise there may be a wait to get a table.
T. P.
Great aesthetics whilst still being cosy. Menu is solid and service is great. An all round great cafe that can definitely stay on the list of my usuals.
S. V.
Extremely friendly staff and delicious food, with a great aesthetic :)
J. P.
Service very very slow I sat in the cafe for 15minutes and had to ask for assistance. Someone had told me "good luck" when I told them I was heading here as they too commented on the slow service. Decor superb, a little pricey but good coffee.
E. W.
Lovely friendly Cafe for lunch with family and thank you to Mitali for her wonderful service.
L. L.
Food was lovely and fresh. Service great. Tea and coffee let them down slightly but otherwise great
A. N.

R. S.
Great coffee, delicious food and lovely staff! Our favourite!
f. m.
The food and coffee is great. The staff can be a little slow sometimes to take your order or notice you if you are outside but the food and drink compensates for that.
O. B.

Always fairly busy and staff can be a little hit and miss in terms of friendliness, but on the whole the coffee is good and the food is nice
M. C.
Awesome brown rice bowl and breakfast burgers. Consistently tasty coffees.
T. J.
The coffee (oat cappuccino) was okay, it might be because of the oat, but it was rather bland. Might've to try the soy next time.
M. A.
No.19 is always busy in Ascot Vale.

Great food and a really cool vibe. Good service to go with it too - we'll be back!

Absolutely loved my time here! Even though they were busy, they had a manager greeting people as they walked in and getting them tables. Staff were attentive and friendly as they gave us our menus and took us though specials. The place had a really nice feeling to it and the fittings were beautiful! Coffee was delicious and the dishes was like a tastebud party! Can’t go wrong with a chilli prawn scramble! Also pup friendly which is great with an outdoor area! Will definitely be back!
