Me and my husband came here as my husband's brother suggestion. We have bbq beef burger, which was a good portion for $18, and a steak and egg, which I think not very special for $21. We enjoyed our food and coffee though. It's like a basic cafe good enough for a brunch out in a weekend. The old lady and, maybe her husband/ business partner, were very nice. A bit hot for a sunny day. Reasonable price, and I think if you have kids, it's would be cool place too.

TL:DR, Food = 10/10 Hosts = 0/10 The coffee lady who took our payment today = 12/10 This is my second time in this cafe and today (12/02/21, 2pm), I had the exact same experience as the first. The food was superb. It's amazing what you can do with the most simple of ingredients when you have talented chefs at the helm. Although I do have some grievances with the prices, it's not a big deal as there are other options in the menu that are well worth every dollar. However, what knocks this cafe from 5 stars down to 3 stars (for me), are the hosts. Both my first experience and today's experience was ruined by your hostesses. My boyfriend and I were seated by this (asian?) lady who was very disinterested. After we ordered, I glanced into the kitchen for a second. Then there was the sudden crack of glass cups hitting our table. We were startled and we turned to look for who put the cups there but the hostess was gone - as if the cups just fell from the ceiling. A few seconds later, she returned with the water bottle and then immediately walked away. Not a word, not a smile, not a hint of enthusiasm. A moment later, she returned to put the cutlery and serviettes on my boyfriend's side of the table, once again walking away immediately afterwards. My boyfriend had to arrange our cutlery and serviettes. Not a word, not a smile, not a hint of enthusiasm. I would just like to add that my boyfriend has 7 years of experience in hospitality and he is looking for work. He could host customers 1000% better than that lady. He is also looking for work so if you are hiring, I could tell him to return with his CV. I was originally planning on giving a 2 star rating were it not for the coffee lady who took our payment. She was an angel and I wished she were the one who hosted us. We will be back because we love the food so much. Although we are hopeful that when we do, that the hosts have improved.

Always wanted to try this place but it’s usually busy, thought I’d give it a try during isolation. Ordered over the phone, the guy who took my order was very helpful. My chai latte was lovely, one of the nicest I’ve had. Got the smashed avo with poached eggs, they were perfectly cooked and the serving was generous, especially with the avocado!! Really made a good start to my day :)

We often use Red Beetle for our office catering, the food is always impressive with our clients often asking where it is from to use themselves, Catherine is always happy to help us out even on short notice at times, the team at red beetle are fantastic. I have enjoyed taking my wife and kids to red beetle for breakfast and lunches over the holidays. We always feel welcome, the kids really enjoy the waitresses having a laugh with them. The food and the service at red beetle never disappoints and we love supporting small local business. See you guys Monday morning for my usual coffee. Cheers!

Been here in total about 15 times over a number of years, so not a lot, but spaced out enough to give me a fair feel of the place over a longer term. Nice cafe with very friendly staff. Service was relatively quick and they got plenty of high chairs for those with babies. As for the food though, the missus coffee was alright. But her egg on her avocado smash wasn't poached properly so it wasn't runny. As for the burger, sadly it was average. Cheese wasn't melted properly. Beef was a little over done and flavor was ok. The bun breaking apart didn't help either. On the bright side they have some great chips.
