$28 for beef sandwich?!! Well…
It was absolutely worth it!! Juicy wagyu beef deep fried with airy panko crumbs, soft pillowy white bread, sauce packed with umami!! It’s foodgasm!!
Loved their Iced filter coffee too! Clean flavor, generous serving!
A.
Great sando, cake and hojicha latte. The wagyu sando was done perfectly - the wagyu beef was juicy and tender, it just melts in your mouth - the bread was soft and toasted just right - the sauce goes well with the beef. Though, i think it is quite expensive for a relatively small sando, it is very delicious.
The sesame cake was packed full of sesame flavour, loved it.
Hojicha latte was on the sweeter side, with good hojicha flavour.
D. Y.
Sando was delicious and coffee was nice. Little bit overpriced for the wagyu sando ,$26. Was a bit underwhelming for me but other than that I’m giving 5 stars still cause presentation was on point!
D. N.
Coffee was nice and the Sandos were tasty. The chicken katsu sando was crunchy and juicy whilst the egg sando was sweet with a nice little kick from the wasabi mayo.

✨SOPHISTICATED CASTELLA CAKES✨
When I saw this store, their packaging gave me that YSL vibe straight away! Instead of bags we’re talking about sandos, cake and coffee here 🥰
I went pass this spot after lunch and thought I’ll try their dessert and drinks
- Matcha 🍵 castella $7
- Black sesame castella $7
- Cold foam iced hojicha $7
I really enjoyed their cake 🍰 as they had a layer of icing on top which gives a heavier flavour with the fluffy sponge base
My favourite was the Matcha as it wasn’t overly bitter and balanced with sweetness 🥰
The drink was a bit bland to my liking as I would prefer a much stronger hojicha flavour and unfortunately too much ice 🧊 in it
Overall, a pretty good experience and will definitely go back to try the hojicha castella (they ran out on the day) as I can’t let anything hojicha go pass my way! 😋
Follow me on IG @eatwithmishy for more food reviews and adventures 😉

Love this place! Inside St Collins Lane, this Japanese Sando bar is an icon! This is a must-go and a go-again kind of place!
We came here for lunch (for two), the place only provides takeaway as it is inside the food court, but the food is of highest quality and very delicious.
Loving the prawn sando and iced hojicha!
Y. M.
I liked the Castella cake, very similar to the Japanese one. Will try Katsu-Sando next time!
S. K.
They nailed the perfect ratio of super soft bread, crumb batter and sauce, enough to cram in such beautiful well balanced flavours while complimenting the tender buttery wagyu.
If you're after a quick luxury indulgence, this is it.
B. M.
Sando. 4 or 5 choices of filling. Soft bread with no crusts. Wonder what they do with the crusts?Order from counter and eat in the food court. One of the few places open in Cup Day.
J. L.
I had the prawn sando, hojicha latte and matcha castella cake, all were of good quality, taste and texture. The minamalist presentation is nice and compliments the premium service that matches what you pay
R. K.
Great filling to bread ratio! A little bit too expensive for something that you could get for 1/3 of the price in Japan (but understandably that is not an option right now..) even if the packaging is very luxurious... but definitely still enjoyed! It was on my list as a tourist but not sure that I would go often as a local. Staff were friendly :)
Would love to see some sort of sustainability initiative from Saint Dreux, as there is a lot of waste!
P. C.
Nice hot chocolate. The cakes weren’t as fine as Japanese castella.
Very good for a food court location though.
J. H.
Absolutely delicious Japanese sandwiches the bread was so soft and the meat was freshly cooked and so tender and juicy.
V. W.
What amazing Sandos here. We tried their tonkatsu, Ebi and chicken. Each sando was boxed in a sturdy box. The flavouring of all the sandos were so rich and flavourful. The crunchiness of the batter to the tenderness of the meats was so perfect.
c.
Nice place for quick bite. I got the wagyu, egg and prawn sandwich. They're all great but if you want some bang for your buck it's the prawn sandwich. It's not too expensive like the wagyu and very tasty. I'd recommend that one for anyone, unless you're allergic to prawns.
M. S.
Was hunting for a sando and was recommended to try this place! It was slightly pricey but didn't disappoint. Although compared to the cuts in Japan, this was slightly more lean and meaty, and didn't have the some textures. However, it may be because of the original produce. The batter was crispy and the Hojicha Latte was not bad. Good place for quick sando fix!
S. N.
Bought each of the choice.
Milk tea- average 3/5
Coffee- very bad 1/5
Wagyu sandwich- 4/5 (medium rare but still very chewy, not sure which part is that, definitely not cuberoll)
Chicken sandwich- 3/5 (nice but not perfect)
Sesame cake- 2/5 (cake was dry )
Service - 2/5 (staff not very welcoming)
Price- 1/5 (too expensive for a quick meal, I spend $100 for a small portion take away)
T. M.
Saint Dreux has great coffee, and amazing sandwiches. Always fresh made to order, and always absolutely delicious.
Everything is beautifully presented with an attention to detail and a clean, calm, relaxed aesthetic.
D. C.
Friendly efficient service. We had hot chocolate which was hot as requested. A little bitter for our taste but nice . Buzzer at table tells you when order is ready, recommended.
K. J.
I dont know what I was expecting when I went to order from here but it was not as good as this. The chicken is crispy, but still remains the juicy integrity that you'd expect from such a high quality establishment. The chicken is complimented by the bread and spicy mayo perfectly, all combining to make what I can only say is the best piece of food I have ever eaten in my entire life. 30 dollars well spent, 0 regrets.
K. C.
I’d fly back to Melbourne just for these sandos. My personal favs are beef, pork, prawn and egg (pretty much all of them!)
S. T.
The place is tucked upstairs where the food court is.
I felt the Matcha (Green tea) castella was a little drier than I preferred, it crumbed pieces when I used a spoon to cut a bite.
The almond croissant had a hint of yuzu smeared in the middle which was a pleasant surprise.
I enjoyed that they had unlimited sparkling and water on tap. Something different.
S. T.
Awesome katsu sando, Bread is lovely and so is the crumbed katsu. Great flavour only drawback is this place is very very expensive for something oh so basic.
A. H.
Quality of the wagyu beef was too chewy. For the price, not worth it. However the pork katsu was better. Sauce and bread were nice.
J. L.
Grand opening day was definitely not grand, there was an incredible wait for the katsu sando albeit they informed us that it would be a long wait, management probably should have anticipated this and put on more than 2 staff. The sandwiches were decent, the best one out of the chicken, Wagyu and pork was the chicken. Surprisingly they didn't over cook the chicken but definitely overcooked the beef which was really disappointing being the most expensive item on the menu. The Wagyu beef still had some flavour but was overshadowed but the well done texture. The houjicha latte was also quite nice. Overall it was a more than average experience and flavours. I hope that if there is a next time that they'll be more prepared for the lunch time rush as that is their primary market being in a prime CBD location.
T. W.
The best Japanese sandos in Melbourne! Fluffy bread, crispy fillings, and amazing coffee.
Packaged beautifully.
Hidden in the food court at the top of the Collins Lane building.
Worth hunting down!
R.
Great filling but the bread is abit dry and very dense on some of the edges
H. D.
Really yummy Japanese sandwiches and cooked to perfection. Love how this place was designed and so aesthetically pleasing. I love how the sandwich has a crunch on the inner side of the bread which makes it so satisfying to eat, first time I've experienced that in a sandwich! It's a little pricey but was worth the experience! Wished you opened in Sydney though! Will definitely come back every time I visit Melbourne 😌
B. C.
Incredible sando, and at $28 absolutely worth the cost as an occasional treat. Perfectly cooked, everything was balanced wonderfully. Quick, polite service. The cold brew coffee was also divine.
M. Y.
WOW!!
Just tried the Prawn Katsu Sando and boy oh boy what a well put together sandwich it was.
The prawns have a satisfying bite to them and the bread is so uniformly cut, it's truly impressive seeing the process of sandwich creation taken to such a high level of craft.
...may have to find a reason to treat myself the Wagyu Katsu Sando.
T.
Would you pay $28 for a sandwich? - this is the question that Saint Dreux is asking the people of Melbourne. The $28 option is the most expensive option - which is a crustless white bread sandwich with wagyu beef kastu. The marbling is around the 8-9 mark, so you're getting top quality cuts of wagyu.
Whether it's worth $28 is a different story. It's definitely slick, stylish, the meat was good.
What I will say is that I'm keen to try the chicken and pork options, which weren't as costly. The coffee was good (and not expensive), and if you're not wanting a sandwich, the pastries look delightful. The black and white styling of this place, the packaging, the service - as with anything that costs more than $5, you're paying for the experience and the service and quality. There are more affordable options, and you get the same look and feel as if you paid the $28 option. If nothing else, you'll get an excellent cup of coffee here.
j.
Freshly made Prawn Katsu Sando was what I got. Although I wish it has a little bit cabbage, it was worth the trip and the money.
S. Z.
I think this place is a bit overrated. We didn’t get the wagyu one because it’s a steep $28 for a sandwich. We got the chicken and pork which essentially tasted exactly the same. Recommend the chicken over the pork as the pork was super dry. The sauce is mustard and the bread is white nothing fancy. I think you’re really paying for the packaging more so than the product. Maybe the wagyu one is amazing....
B. L.
The shop looks nice. Sandwiches taste good, coffee was great, castera sponge cake was good. Just pricy and has fancy packaging.. i feel like i paid for the packaging not the actual food itself. It’s nice to give it to someone as gift because of nice packaging. They should give customer an option of discount of food if customer eats at the food court. Sandwiches was nothing special but it was fresh and tasty..I dont think i will have it everyday.
K.
Great katsu sando!! Juicy thick delicious slab of pork sandwich between 2 pieces of white fluffy bread and layered with tangy katsu sauce. Only drawback is the price
B.
Coffee was good but the chicken katsu was average.
The chicken was so oily which made the chicken itself kind of soggy
L. M.
So long as Katsu sandwich and coffee is all you want then this is the place for you. Very juicy fresh sandwich and delicious coffee. Deceptively filling and presented really well. Not worth the price if you don't like Katsu sandwich though.
A. N.
Saint Dreux is in the food court of the St Collins Lane Centre. The food court is fairly upmarket and clean. A big space with plenty of tables and not overly busy during COVID. I got the wagyu beef sando which was katsu style (crumbed and deep fried) with hints of flavour throughout. Not bad but it was $28 and on the smaller side. All the sandos are carefully packaged individually in a little box
B. P.
Killer Katsu, delicious, great packaging, friendly counter team, job well done. well worth $15 for tender juicy crispy breaded kurobuta pork on the softest fresh white bread with a delightful light mayo. Verdict - Katsu Crushed 👍
P. S.
Is a seemingly luxurious outlet, and a possible outlier in the midst of the upper St. Collins Lane food hall. Showcasing a few café goodies with a display and packaging reminiscent of semi-luxury watch shops, the French and Japanese fusioned katsu sando sandwiches are a treat.
Delicately fried, layered, and cut with precision, the subtle hints taste of an unlikely collaboration done right.
P. M.
Amazing restaurant, albeit a bit pricey. You truly do get what you pay for though! Extremely high quality proteins with perfectly soft bread.
N. A.
Amazing sandwiches. The Chicken Katsu Sando is so delicious. Highly recommend this place for a coffee and a sandwich. Always great service too.
S. L.
Simply delicious Japanese sandwich.
Very friendly staffs and the drinks are delicious too.
Thank you very much 😊
E. B.
Beautiful sandwiches pastry coffee place . For takeaway or you could eat there , it’s kind of high end food court place on floor 3 above st Collins . Very relaxing and plenty of seats . The pastry I had was great but didn’t have much butter smelled or tasted, will back try more items . They were looking great .
J. T.
The wagyu katsu sando was an absolute treat! For $28, it is definitely pricey, but it’s a nice snack to share with a friend. The meat is super tender and I would come back to try the other katsu sandos. Receiving the sandwich itself is an experience – it’s like opening a nice present. The sando comes in a beautifully designed box with careful paper wrapping.
X. C.
Delicious coffee and dessert for afternoon treatment, a nice place in CBD meeting friends and having a break, enjoy ~~~
S. C.
Nice to go for lunch. Wagyu sandwich was delicious. However, too much takeaway wastage even when I could dine in.
A. G.
A little pricey but excellent modern Japanese food, coffee or cakes. Black sesame cake with a macha latte is great!
B. N.
Pretty average at best - sandwiches are good, but nowhere near the price charged. Filling is actually quite good but the bun is mediocre.
O. P.
Amazing. Can't believe a sandwich could be so good. Coffee is great too. I usually take a picture before I eat, but this was too good to wait for.....
L. L.
The pork sando was thick and juicy and tasted delicious with the ice coffee. The black sesame castella was a little dry though.
A. C.
Very delicious sando indeed, fluffy bread, crispy panko cutlet, yummy sauce etc etc. However it's overpriced for what it is, especially considering you can get a full sized katsudon in the CBD for the same or less. If it was $10 or (better still) the portions were larger I'd rate 5*. As it was I was hungrily eyeing the souvas at the adjacent venues afterwards.
H. T.
Excellent pork and beef katsu Sando! Would definitely recommend
D. L.
Very delicious and fresh sandos. Would prefer if they had 1 more vegetarian option
M. L.
I had the chicken katsu sandwich. Such an amazing flavour and it was so juicy! Cooked to perfection! I can understand the price justicifation.
A. B.
A bit pricy, but amazing taste and quality. Amazing coffee and little details in the food and drink.
J. L.
We got the chicken katsu sando as well as the wagyu beef one. Definitely recommend the chicken one as it was more juicy! The waygu was mediocre and definitely not worth paying $28 for.
C. M.
Tried the prawn and beef sandwich. The prawn sandwich was nice and the beef was ok but not worth $28.
Y. H. L.
The prawn sandwich is super amazing!! So yummmmyy!!!🥹 It is delicious 🤤 and become my Top One on my list!!!
D. R.
Bit on the expensive side for a katsu sandwich. It was good, moist and tasty.
I liked the pork and chicken over the prawn sando.
V. b. S.
Good location and store looks clean and minimal. But expensive food and slices. Pastries are good and genuinely priced.
E. L.
The wagyu was tender and juicey. The bread was really soft and a little bit sweet. This reminds me of the meals you could get at the Shinkansen station in Japan before you hop onto the train. I highly reccomend you come try this out if you're in the area!
B. T. P.
5/5 for shop fit out and packaging. 4/5 for the flavour of the chicken katsu. 3/5 for small portion size (and the katsu only covered 3 quarters of the sando). 3/5 for value for money. 3/5 for still being hungry. Overall, I would say 3.5
E. G.
This chicken katsu Sando might be the best sandwich I've ever eaten. Even better than what I had in Japan.
A.
So simple yet these Katsu Sandos were made to perfection. Wasabi Mayo brought it all together.
T. C.
We came specifically for the wagyu sando but were disappointed by it, it was very chewy and did not compliment the soft bread well.
HOWEVER, the prawn sando was the underdog. I would definitely come back for this, the sauce had a slight wasabi flavour and it was such an impressive sandwich 😍
A. Z.
best SANDO ever love the packaging love the bag and the tissue pack hehe
E. D.
Chicken sandwich is absolute fire! Coffee is also very good. Well worth the visit.
D. L.
A fancy little kiosk located in the boutique mall food court. I had the pork katsu sando and square cake. The sando was prepared nicely with crispy katsu and soft bread. The cake was not too sweet and tasted ok. I thought the prices were a little expensive for the portions, despite the luxurious looking packaging.
M.
Moist and crunchy Katsu (pork cutlet) between white bread for $15. Somewhat expensive.
C. T.
Prawn sando is amazing
M. N.
This place is known for their katsu sandos and castella cakes. We decided to have them for afternoon tea. Ordered the hot chocolate, hojicha latte and the castella cake.Decided to have the original castella cake and really liked it. It was light and fluffy and not too sweet. The hojicha latte was good and I really enjoyed it.Would definitely be back to try their katsu sandos
D. C.
OMG. My katsu sando is so good. Juicy on the inside, crispy on the outside. Bread is super soft. Can see why people are cueing up for this
E. G.
A gem in the city!
Sandwiches are amazing. The bread is extremely fluffy and although tasty, doesn't overshadow the taste of the filling, but each element compliments each other so well. The sauces are enhance the brilliant flavour of the sandwich. You really do need to try all of them to decide which one is your favourite as they are all delicious. My personal favourite is the prawn sando.
Castella cakes are also perfect. You gotta go for the original, classic yet delicious; when done right, it really stands out.
모.
Sandwiches are awesome! Good coffee. Cakes are normal. But all good!
A. Y.
Best Katsu sandwich I've had in Melbourne CBD! The pork was so crispy and juicy. Although it looked small, it was actually very filling given the size of the fillet.
Packaging was also bomb and made the whole experience enjoyable.
A. L.
Sandwich with over the top Japanese precision. But the sandwiches are actually really good. Bread slices are thick and ultra soft. Chicken is freshly fried, crisp and perfect. This is a sandwich which will hit the spot, everytime. It ain't cheap, but the level of care is worth it.
B. T.
Fantastic authentic Japanese sandwich, yes it's pricey and yes the packaging is a little over the top. But this is what authentic Japanese food is like, presentation matters. If you're after a cheap sandwich, stick with your 7 eleven garbage. Quality comes at a cost.
E. J.
I'm a sando lover, and Saint Dreux is one of my favourite on par with Meet Sando. Saint dreux has nice soft bread but smaller portion, the prawn is nice and fresh too! I didnt give 5 star because the location is at a food court and during lockdown its quite complicated to have an access there.
P. S.
Awesome Sando.. tried the egg, prawn and chicken. Shokupan is soft, chicken is succulent. Only let down was the coffee slightly burnt. For the egg sando was ok - but preferred Meet Sando Crispy Egg style Japanese Sando..
O. V.
Despite cappuccino being served without chocolate delicious nonetheless 👌 Black sesame castera sponge cake is very light and yummy 🖤
H. i.
The simple katsu chicken sanga, what a delight. The Japanese knows how to do simple well and this is a prime example of simplicity at its best. The katsu chicken, and also katsu pork, were fried to a crisped perfection, yet the meat retains a juicy and tender texture. Sandwiched between two slices of soft and fluffy bread, it was amazing.
My only issue? The price. Despite how great it tasted, it wasn't great value for money. Quality is indisputable, but at what price?
The black sesame castelle cake possessed a bold nutty and roasted flavour, but unfortunately a bit too dry and crumbly.
No complains with the hojicha latte and matcha latte. Impressive and flavours were spot on.
S. &. S.
Ordered a double espresso and the cold batch filter. AND I couldn't resist the chicken sando. Coffee was perfection, helped that the barista was easy on the eyes. The sando was hot, fresh and delicious AF. Again!
B. S.
What a fantastic experience! I have been waiting to try their sandwitches for a while and I was not disappointed! We got there a bit too early, even though the place is open after 9am, they serve sandwitches only from 11am. For me the choice was obvious: wagyu, my gf got prawn one. Both sandos were extremely delicious and totally worth the price. Beef was juicy and very tender. Prawns were huge and super tasty. Their coffee is good too!
J. B.
I can only define the food here as “perfect”.
g. s.
Best coffee in the cbd hands down... but the sando's are next level ahhh-mazing! We had the chicken, pork and prawn (we also tried three of the cakes to round out the meal- our fav being the black sesame). Yes we had to wait a bit but it was well worth it for freshly cooked, high-quality goodness. The meat was juicy and tender, covered in a perfectly seasoned crust that gave you that first bite crunch satisfaction. My surprise favourite was the prawn- full delicious prawns with delightful sauce, again perfectly cooked and super satisfying. The whole experience was lovely, with beautiful branding and packaging to boot. Overall- great concept, perfectly executed and highly addictive.
L. J.
This place is amazing. We wasted 89 on a 2 person high tea downstairs, came here because we were disappointed... And Saint Dreux gave us all the deliciousness we needed. The prawn sandwich was ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
L. C.
Highly rate ebi (prawn) katsu sando, they were all good but you rarely find good quality prawn in food
F. P.
Love this place. A bit pricey to be honest but I don't care. The Katsu chicken sandwich is to die for. Light and fluffy magical bread, nice thick chicken coated in delicious crumbery. The experience is over to quick and one longs for another. Def five it a shot.
P. V.
Torn between 3 and 4 stars. Had chicken, pork and wagyu sandwiches and they are good, but the price is just too much. You pay for their little black boxes and their shop design rather than for the meal itself. Matcha latte was very good. It's a 4 star place with 2 star prices.
D. M.
$28 for a single sandwich might seem a little pricey . But OMG the WAGU sando.
For when you want to TREAT yourself.
I treat myself often. But the other sando are also good
B. H.
I found it very hard to rate my three experiences at Saint Dreux over the last few weeks as the true rating is pretty much a 3.5 star. However, due to friendly staff on my last two visits, I've landed on 4 stars. Good place to try a variety of Japanese-inspired sandos (sandwiches).
PROs:
- delicious, fresh prawn (ebi) sando;
- great decor and fittings;
- Hojicha castella was tasty; and
- staff were friendly and helpful.
CONs
- price is high for what you get;
- pork katsu sando and wagyu beef sando were good, but not great (and overpriced);
- can't really go past how pricey this place is..
Overall, worth a visit to try their sandwiches, but probably not going back unless they drop the price by a few dollars, or further uplift their produce and flavours.
J. M. P.
Great and tasty katsu sando! We ordered Kurobuta pork & Wagyu beef.
Both katsu was cooked fresh and still crunchy. The pork was juicy and tender. The beef was cooked perfectly.
The bread was also good, was not dry and spongy (?).
The sauce was enhancing the sando taste perfectly!
B. C.
Got the Kurobuta pork katsu sando. Great packaging and presentation. Boxed nicely and a decent serve of pork in white bread. Just can't justify the price $15... it was tasty but a bit oily. Coffee was ok, nothing spectacular.
N. T.
Had a chicken sando here and was given a buzzer for when the food is ready. Waited about 10ish minutes for it which I guess is expected if it's cooked fresh. Staff were ok and once I got the sandwich it was pretty good, nice and crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside, not sure I'd go again as it's pretty pricey for a sandwich even though it is pretty high quality you'll be getting. Unrelated but the DJ in the food court was good too
O. R.
Best go-to lower ground Melbourne central there's a good cheap katsu Sandos there too much hype for this joint.
T. K.
Tasty, but a couple of slices of white bread with some meat in the middle? Hardly worth $15+ and definitely not 'fine dining in a food court' quality.
I think they're getting a bit ahead of themselves. If it was $8-$10 I'd probably return... but even then.
I. C.
Matcha latte and pork sandwiches. Very delicious, a bit pricey though
H.
You may think it's expensive, but the moment you take a bite, you'll see why it's expensive.
R. Y.
Good katsu Sando but Castella was dried.
D. P.
I fell in love after my first taste of the chicken sando which was cooked freshly made to order, so it was juicy and hot on the inside, crispy and crunchy on the outside, with delicious mayo to perfectly balance the flavour in the fluffiest white bread...
Because they are made to order, it does take a little while but it’s totally worth the short wait.
I wanted to originally give this place 4 stars simply because it is a little bit more on the expensive side, but having said that, I have now been back multiple times to try their different sando flavours because I LOVE them so much.
I day dream about it when I’m at work and get distracted from my task haha so I think that deserves 5 stars!!
Good job guys, what a lovely little stall that reminds me of the joys of Tokyo every time I visit
M. W.
Simple yet done so well! Extremely fresh and cooked to order. Can't be missed 👏🏽
t.
Succulent! Don't think about the price when you take your bite. Enjoy it for what it is!
Iced filter coffee is okay.
N. “. T.
Coffee's good, sandwiches are great, neat and tasty, might be a bit overpriced by a couple dollars but nice place to sit and chat with friends as well.
C.
Look, I love a good sambo. Have for a long time. Kept telling people "There's nothing better than a good sambo".
But I was wrong.
The pork Sando I devoured today has changed the way I look at bread and meat. Can't wait to go back to try the rest of the menu and continue to enjoy their espresso.
A. B.
Excellent coffee. Bit pricey. Only cafe open on the upper floor level. Staff are dressed professionally. Coffee is magnificent. Overall a great experience.
C.
Delicious food, very consistent in the quality. I eat here frequently and have never been disappointed. The chicken katsu is perfection.
S.
Katsu sando was good, if the bread was not "wet" was better.
The cold coffee had too much ice and couldn't enjoy the coffee flavor till end...
p.
What a Wagyu sando!! Pretty sure this is my new bench mark for easy lunch now.
My friend had the katsu sando and said it was phenomenal, so I'll be back tomorrow to try it.
Coffee was on point too, which is always a bonus 👌
H. J.
Wow sandwiches, can't wait for them to open again. One of the best places of it's kind in Melbourne, my everyday stop for lunch during work!
R. M.
Sandwich was delicious - it would be 5 star but it is a little overpriced imo
T. E.
Amazing coffee, some of the best I've had in Melbourne with some quality pastries to boot. Really friendly staff too, always a good time.
E. E.
Not bad sandos but a bit pricey and the wait is too long. Cafe Blush at Emporium has nicer and cheaper pork katsu sando.
F. J.
So good to see something new and fresh for a change! Amazing coffee, food and staff 😊 will definitely be coming back to try some more Sando’s! Highly recommend this place👌
S. G.
Nice atmosphere had charging area for your phone food is bit pricey though.
J.
Never have I had a better sandwich. I cannot recommend highly enough
J.
Great coffee and super friendly staff! My mouth is still watering from my chicken Katsu! I think tomorrow I'll try the pork!😊
D. T.
Cold foam Hojicha is one kind of a drink.. perfect pair with the Castella
M. P.
This rating is for the pork katsudon sando. It was delightful on a cold day, though just snack sized for me.
J. N.
Wagyu katsu sandwich and chicken katsu sandwich were both yum but I can't justify the price to be a repeat customer
n. k.
Hojicha cake and hojicha latte very nice (roasted green tea) and im sure other cakes...... although pricey
L.
Worth a try! Thought it was worth the hype👏
A.
I can't believe how juicy the chicken was on the chicken katsu sandwich... So simple yet delicious!!!

Nice Sandos. On my top 2 places to go for Japanese Sandos (Saint Dreux and Meet Sando).

Really yum! A touch to pricy but very very tasty. I hate that everything is served in throw away boxes. Come on!
J. C.
Just like being back in Japan again. The quality and flavour of the prawn was perfect

Who knew sandwiches could be this good. A little on the pricier side but you certainly get the best quality.

Very average latte. Plenty of other better coffee choices around.

Not bad sandos but a bit pricey and the wait is too long. Cafe Blush at Emporium has nicer and cheaper pork katsu sando.
p.
What a Wagyu sando!! Pretty sure this is my new bench mark for easy lunch now.
My friend had the katsu sando and said it was phenomenal, so I'll be back tomorrow to try it. …

I never thought I could love katsu sando this much. Simple and tastefully crafted. I got the prawn one and my colleagues got the pork one, imo I think the prawn one is better. I had the prawn katsu which was fried to perfection, perfect temperature and still juicy! It came covered in their own-made wasabi mayo which sealed the deal. I rate the prawn one a 5/5. My friends got the pork one which I didn't like as much, I'd rate the pork one a 3.5/5.
Dessert wise, the hojicha castella wasn't amazing. The hojicha flavour wasn't very strong, and it was actually pretty dry compared to all the katsu. Didn't try the drinks this time round but would love to next time. I'd give 5/5 purely for the prawn katsu!

The sandos and drinks here are incredible. We had the katsu sando, wagyu sando and matcha latte, 10/10. If you have the chance, make sure to stop by.

(Translated) Not as tasty as I expected.
Not expected to be delicious, not very sweet but not enough aroma and humidity, but the top layer of matcha and hojicha is very delicious.

沒有預期的好吃,不會很甜但香氣與濕度不足,不過matcha 和hojicha 上面那層非常好吃😋。

(Translated) The wagyu is also delicious, but the price is a bit high and you won't regret it if you eat only Katsando! The sauce and the combination is good

와규도 맛있긴 한데, 가격이 좀 센 편이고 가츠산도만 드셔도 후회 없을듯 합니다 ! 소스랑 조합이 좋네요
