Absolutely amazing home made food. Love the just from the ocean freshly baked borek.. I have travelled 45min just to get here to eat one of these . There are many different types.. today cheese and spinach.. don’t miss this place right next door to bell st station on bell street.. original name if this one is Gul Borek … coffee is great too

Breakfast @The_Eastern_Bloc for a relaxing cup of chai latte and a poppy seed bagel with smoked salmon, cream cheese, baby spinach and tomato. The chai latte is laden with spices, pouring it via the sieve to get 2 cups of the lovely aroma laden chai. This was enjoyed with the delicious bagel creation which is a satisfying way to start the weekend. Visited again for lunch. @The_Eastern_Bloc is a cafe serving some dishes from southern Turkey, one being manti - a Turkish style beef ravioli in a yoghurt sauce These are small little parcels with a slightly chewy mouth feel encasing beef and immersed in a yoghurt sauce which is a little odd due to the sourness. However, a little bowl of chilli flakes is present which when sprinkled over the top makes a big difference. Very tasty meal and something completely different to anything I've eaten. I usually come here for study while sipping a great coffee they make. They have delicious, freshly baked foods. Muffin and spinach borek are my favorites. Friendly service from lovely owners. (The pic shows a take away order)

This is my nearest local cafe and thank god for that! Best coffee in Coburg, fantastic dishes (menemen is my go-to, my husband has a borek or gozleme at least once a week) and always the warmest service. The definition of a family-run cafe, I always feel at home here. It doesn’t have the hipster menus of the other spots around here, but everything is delicious and made with love, can’t ask for more than that.

My review is only based on the soy chai latte and it tastes really smooth and good!! I also really like the cafe interior and presentation, nice simple feel and the service is timely too. I hope to try other menu items in the future.

Had a regular size cappuccino from here the other day. The coffee was strong like i asked them for. Loved the interior and i saw some baked treats here but as i was on my travel and my hands were full..couldn’t really get anything more. The server was really chatty and was really friendly. I’d love to try some more of the fresh baked goods soon in the future.

This is one of my most favorite cafes I’ve ever been to in Melbourne. The coffee is always AMAZING! The service is Always with a smile, the owners are the kindest people! The bacon and egg burger is That DAMN GOOD that I am unable to enjoy my own homemade version anymore :,( I couldn’t stress enough how great this place is, far better then any cafe I’ve been to within the area / all of Melbourne.
