Beautiful spot for brunch. Lovely staff who are attentive and friendly. Meals come out quickly- tasty food with unique flavour combinations. Great tea and coffee (but had to get replacements multiple times for dirty cups that were sent out).

Stopped here out of necessity, and will be back regularly. Sitting outside and watching the traffic pass by was relaxing, and both the coffee (double espresso) and food (scrambled eggs on toast with smoked salmon because work was paying) were terrific. The staff were friendly, and there's also a courtyard out the back if you feel the need for quiet.

Came to The Guilty Moose to have brunch the other day. On the day we ordered: - How do you like them apples - Getting all mushy and stuff add poached egg + smoked salmon + potato rosti - Moose juice - Summer fresher First of all, loving all these unique name for the dishes. The french toast has nice flavour. The mushrooms on the toast was a bit too salty for our liking. The juice here is definitely a must order, super fresh and just enough sweetness.

My only regret is to have not visited this cafe sooner. If you're bored of the usual breakfast/brunch options at your favourite cafe, give this place a try. Such an unique menu and oh so tasty. We loved 'Baghdad eggs' and 'getting all Mushy' (mushroom dish). Bursting with flavours and unlike anything we have tasted in recent times. The setting is great too and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The icing on the cake was the coffee (maccha with white chocolate) which was so so good. All 4 items on our table were phenomenal and we can't wait to go back already. Special shout out to our server - Fiona! Amazing service and conversation.

After walking a lot the whole morning and randomly search for a place to lunch, I entered this amazing cafe / restaurant. I had the daily rice bowl, which turned out in an amazing rice dish with an amazing pork, such a delicious taste, I was really stunned! And then I asked for a coffee, simple late, but seems that simple is a word that will never fit here. The coffee was fresh, fruity and creamy. I cannot recommend more The Guilty Moose. I'm definitely returning here soon!

This cafe is out of the main strip of Albert Park and has a nice, cosy feel to it. The food is rustic in a sense, yet nicely composed and contemporary enough to meet Melbourne cafe standards. There are quite a few tasty vegetarian options including the really well flavoured mushrooms on toast and the surprisingly delicious and filling cheesy cauliflower rice and quinoa. I don't usually go for sweet brunch dishes but they really shine at The Guilty Moose. The apple pie spring roll looks cool and tastes good, but the spiced gingerbread french toast with quince was my absolute favourite dish. The granola is a bit too candied for my taste but also pretty good. I loved the look of all the superfood lattes although I didn't try any, but my soy coffee was really nice. When the weather warms up, I suggest sitting out in the pleasant back courtyard. ☀️

We came in groups of six, so we managed to indulge in some dishes and all the dishes were on the scene. Apple pie spring rolls are as delicious as I imagined. Large chunks of spiced apples are wrapped in a crispy pastry, and custard and crunchy walnuts provide a texture element that takes the dish to another layer. Also not to be missed is Gingerbread French Toast. Another delicious spice is full of autumn flavor. Soft, fluffy bread absorbs all the rich creamy sauces, making this dish suitable for any sweet. Salty and sweet dishes are just as delicious. The lovely name of Phooey in Hong Kong is a hearty and comforting dish that makes me feel warm. Grilled mushrooms are a gorgeous dish filled with earthy and nutty flavors. Even the simple broccoli rice is an explosion of flavor, as expected, as it comes with cream cheese and smoked almonds. Our coffee and non-coffee, such as matcha latte, beetroot latte and turmeric latte, are as satisfying as food. A stunning cafe that everyone needs to try. Thank you for hosting us.

Had an amazing time at the guilty moose the other day. I felt spoilt for choices with all the incredible options. Finally decided to get a balance of sweet and savoury options. My favourite was the hong kong phooey, it was so warm and soothing..perfect for a chilly day. Also loved the ginger bread french toast..as it had some really different flavours and was not a usual chocolate french toast that most cafes have these days. The ambiance and the staff was top notch, would definitely come back to try more items off the menu.

Hard to fault this place. The service was friendly and fast, the food and coffee are great. My only slight criticism is the table we were at is very cramped for 4 people. Carrot cake french toast!!! 😭❤️ And also, yes, it’s as amazing as it sounds already 🤤 FOOD: I got the ‘Wassup Doc?’ which is a carrot cake french toast and if you look carrot cake or just french toast in general, you’ve hit the jackpot. The french toast itself was done to PERFECTION, so the carrot cake part is probably the cream cheese and actual carrots on top but the french toast itself is soft and fluffy but also moist at the same time! The dish was done to absolute perfection and it wasn’t too sweet which I definitely appreciated ❤️ SERVICE: Service was pleasant! The Guilty Moose is clearly a local favourite because when I walked in, it was packed to the brim and I can see why 🤤 The coffee is definitely something to shout about and I absolutely LOVE it. Definitely an amazing cafe!!

4.5 stars ⭐️ I really enjoyed my brunch here the other day. The staff were so friendly to kiddos and the coffee was nice. But the highlights are their brekkie, which is slightly different from the usual fare. Hubby got the burrito which comes with a whole bottle of hot sauce. Inside there are eggs, beans, rice and I think a bit of jalapeños which my younger one loved surprisingly. I had the Baghdad eggs which is fried eggs on flat bread with harissa and dollops of Smokey eggplant dip. It looks amazing but tasted even better my eldest enjoyed his fried eggs on toast, and scoffed down the smashed avo and spinach. All in all a great breakkie on a lazy weekend.

Guilty Moose is lovely spot for brunching! I loved dining in the outdoor area and their menu has some great winter warmers, like their soup of the day and congee! The Apple pie is super unique and so dang good - so if you’re feeling like sweets, can’t go wrong with this one!

Really great outdoor seating. The menus has a QR code so you can see all the photos of the food. Which is very clever. We had brunch and the food, smoothies, and fresh juice was all really good. They are very accommodating, we had a table of 12 without a booking. They pushed together a few tables. When the bill came we were all allowed to pay individually which saved a lot of hassle on our part.

I’ve never ever tried such good gnocchi in my life. I asked for a chicken ragout and it was just amazing. Also I’ve asked for a simple latte coffee, and omg... there was a very good fresh taste of coffee. Seriously, if you have plans to come to Melbourne, you must visit this place.

I am very discerning when it comes to coffee. I have tried numerous high end cafes around Melbourne (many of which feature in the top 10 cafes in Melbourne) The Guilty Moose, in my opinion, consistently creates the best coffees I have ever had. There is some slight variation in terms of the subtle flavours and notes that one experiences (ranging from nutty / chocolate to licorice). This adds just the right amount of variation to keep things interesting. All of them great! I have not tried all the items on the menu, however, the Mooseburger and El Hefe are delicious

Perfect spot for a brunch where many local residents come with family and friends. Staff call regular customers by their name and even know what they want before they have ordered. Mouth-watering menu with many options available. Almost everything is homemade with great quality products for a fair price. I particularly recommend the backyard when the weather is nice.

All the customers are lovely people that probably feel a bit happier just from walking through the door. There's street seating for people watching and a courtyard out the back that has a unique design and sits under a large tree. The crew at the Guilty Moose are simply lovely. Everyone is super friendly and coffee is in my opinion the best in Albert Park. The chefs in the kitchen are all quite well know as well from other restaurants most Melbourners would be familiar with which makes the menu TOP NOTCH with something for everyone, regardless of if you like to play it safe or if you're looking to be adventurous. I love the special rice bowl which changes regularly and is always a quick, cheap, filling and insanely tasty choice no matter what the new version is.

Lovely staff. When we were there (Sunday around 11am) it was quite busy and when tables near us were ordering they were communication that to customers. The Baghdad eggs were ah-mazing but the french toast was so bland and tasteless. It was nice but it was missing that something something from it. And all I cohle taste was the egg coating of which had no seasoning to it just egg. Might need some cinnamon or cardamom to jazz it up. Awesome doggy courtyard too

If you are in the area you should go to this cafe as it is not quite what you expect and the food is quite delicious. They have interesting names on their menu such as Randy Macho Man Savage sandwich , it is quite filling and delicious . The Hong Kong Phooey congee is delicious also . Whatever you choose you will not be disappointed and will have a nice surprise. The coffee is done just the right way and the tea is very nice also.

Bloody excellent new find this was... we got in before the peak rush and lost our marbles over the diverse adn different breakfast fare as most other places become more of the same. We came as a group of 6 so we managed to indulged in a number of dishes, and all of them hit the spot. The Instagram famous apple pie spring roll was just as delicious as I imagined it would be. Chunks of lightly spiced apples were encased in a flaky pastry, and the creamy custard and crunchy walnuts provided the textural elements took this dish to another level of yum. Not to be missed is also the Gingerbread French Toast. Another dish that was beautifully spiced and full of autumn-ish flavours. The soft and fluffy bread soaked up all the richness of the butterscotch sauce, making this dish perfect for any sweet tooth out there. The savoury were just as tasty as the sweet dishes. The congee with the cute name of Hong Kong Phooey was a hearty and comforting dish that warmed me right up, and the roasted mushrooms was a gorgeous dish filled with earthy and nutty flavours. The breakfast menu gives a subtle twist to classic favorites - try the El Hefe if you like avocado and jalapeños, or the breakfast burito if you’re after scrambled eggs with a kick. The coffee is not excellent, but it’s consistently good, and the best in the area. The staff are friendly and accommodating.

We had a lovely experience at The Guilty Moose on a sunny Friday arvo! The courtyard was the perfect spot to sit ;) It was great to see lots of vegan options on the menu! I tried a yummy DETOX juice, along with the Mushrooms, Falafel Salad, and the Porridge. The mushroom dish had a GENEROUS serving of mushrooms, which was amazing hehe. The crispy kale served with it was DIVINE. Would definitely recommend this dish! I loved that the porridge was served with lots of caramelized fruit throughout. The flavours were great!
