Quick and prompt service with a friendly atmosphere. Minimal menu but done well. We ordered a toastie and a bacon and egg roll. Food arrived quickly and was delicious. The cold brew coffee is some of the best tasting that I've had, and served generously. Iced coffee was also fantastic, and came served in a bowl which was different but fun! Would definitely come here again, thank you!

Nice cool “industrial” styled cafe in a quiet corner of the cbd. Lots of indoor seating available. Service was friendly. Coffee was good- my flat white could have been a warmer and a bit stronger. Croissants are gorgeous - best part of my visit!

But these things happen when you're popular, and for good reason: the coffee is really, really good! The best time to go, I think, is before 0715 or after 0830, when the crowds are thin and the staff are not overburdened.

It was creamy with the right balance of coffee strength. I LOVED their avocado toastie - it was fresh and had this minty taste which took the flavor to the next level! Can't wait to visit this cafe again!

Nice shop. Looks decent. Steamed milk is very smooth. Only house blend is available at this moment. I think it's due to slow business flow with Covid19. A cup of latte with house blend is decent. However, I think it's a little overpriced especially with restricted menu options. Will come for one more try with Colombian beans if its in stock later.

The League of Honest Coffee is one of my favourite coffeeshops in this part of the city. They serve an awesome coffee and have some pastry as well. The staff is friendly, always smile and engage you in a conversation when it’s not too crowded. And that’s probably the only disadvantage - if you want a good coffee, be ready to wait to get it.

Located in a corner on little Lonsdale and exploration, not the easiest to find, but i guess that's the part of the charm. Modern and aesthetic appeal to interiors, friendly staff and their large coffee is LARGE, so be prepared. Liked the bowl style serving of coffee, but found it a bit challenging to drink. Overall a good experience.

Second time around - much better coffee. Modern industrial decor and lots of green. Friendly crew, the pastries/muffins looked appetizing. I liked it. However, when the latte came which was very smooth, it tasted too milky and it was only just above warm, so that was disappointing. All hard surfaces and noise noise bounces around a bit. Will have to go back again and give it another go.

Pre-ordered a coffee for pickup. It wasn't ready when I arrived as I was bringing my own cup, but it was prepared almost instantly. The coffee itself actually wasn't my favourite. It was pretty bitter and needed sweetener, which I never normally have to add. But the service was really great and made me want to like the space.

Okay honestly, there are days when workers doesn't really feel like giving their 101% and we understand. But when you are standing in a customer's point of view, you see one of the barista behind the machine dropped a tamper to the ground, picked it up and continue to use it without washing it - it's a bit too much, isn't it?

Rolled out the door of my hotel and noticed this little Cafe, with an unassuming front. Came in to find a little neat place buzzing with activity and welcoming staff. The Macciato was deliciously smooth (Ethiopian single blend) and the fetta & spinach freshly baked. Highly recommended!

Team here are very keen on filter coffee, perhaps so keen that it interferes with the layout and overall atmosphere of this small venue. Perhaps they could make more seating areas instead of displaying all the interesting filter machines and coffee beans in one corner. The first place people look to buy quality Japanese pourers and filters is online, not their local weekday coffee shop. Long Black was well made, smooth with little crema.

Gotta love a coffee bar with a barista who's pedantic enough to clean the machine between coffees. It's hard to silk soy milk perfectly but he did it. What's more, I could see this barista using perfect pouring technique. Best coffee I had in a very long time.

Their black coffee is sweet and light, especially when served over ice. Their milky beverages have been declining in quality recently. Not sure if they're not cleaning their jugs properly, are mixing milks, or burning it, but the taste has been progressively getting less palatable. The food is great though! Brioche bacon and egg rolls are amazing! Edit - an important thing to note is that seem to have a really high staff turnover rate as of late. I see a new face behind the counter every day.

I had read the reviews and picked this joint on the basis of the hype. It's nice to see it is true. I had the flat white and a cinnamon and pecan bun. Both were first class. The coffee was so good I had drank it in about 3 minutes and had to get another one. The service is attentive without being fussy. Unlike a lot of places that do takeaway drinks, the 2pm rush of suited and booted folk was not detrimental to the seated customers. Very reasonably priced - 2 coffees and 2 snacks for $24 Aussie. I will be returning.

Grabbed coffee and food every day while on a business trip from here. The cold coffee was amazing. Their breakfast sandwiches were also very well made when hot or reheated. I would recommend this to any coffee lover.

I strongly believe that you can often judge a book by its cover. For example a well written story will make the publishes see its worth and love it enough to go that extra mile in making a good book cover great. I think the same can be said with cafes. If the owners and staff know they have a great product, love their jobs and want to do a great job I think the appearance of a cafe shows that care. This place is stunning. The slayer machines are expertly tended and the coffee is fantastic. They are a specialist coffee venue so you are in for a treat if you ask the friendly baristas to try their recommendations. If you walk away buzzing with caffeine and excitement like most of us do and want to try it at home for yourself they have some great home coffee brewing equipment for sale and will show you how to use it. Now that's service!

Okay, if you have read my reviews you will probably know that I really couldn't tell good coffee even if it was staring me in the face, however that didn't stop me from checking it out (though they are known for their really good coffee). Anyway, now that I have been here I can see why it appears where it does, and it is quite clear that a lot of other people seem to think the same as well because it gets really crowded really quick. The thing that stood out were the staff - they were really friendly and welcoming. You can also buy take home coffee as well as coffee making equipment.

Great coffee, but the staff have absolutely no sense of urgency. On occasion there could be a line out the door and a cafe full of people waiting for take away orders, yet there's still just one or two people gently making coffee with absolutely no rush at all. Sometimes I could be waiting up to 25 minutes (including ordering) just to get a take away! It's great coffee, but I really don't have 35 minutes plus (including walking) on my coffee breaks so I've switched back to 65 degrees for now in the mornings.

Nice atmosphere. Friendly staff Upon walking in we were greeted and told the cafe had table service so we picked a nice window seat and were brought a bottle of water straight away. The decor is nice and has a warm feel. We ordered two cappuccinos which were tasty but not as strong as I'm used to. We ordered two vegetarian toasties and they were delicious. It was the first vegetarian dish I've ever ordered but it sounded quite delicious. The croissants in the display case looked amazing and will be on my list for next time. There was plenty of street parking available and was easy walking distance from our hotel.

The League of Honest Coffee is an outstanding cafe in the sea of choice that is Melbourne. We are already spoiled for choice but League has well and truely pulled ahead of the competitors in the area, offering an outstanding range of delicious coffee at an industry standard price but at a higher then standard quality. If coffee is not your forte then not to fear as their chai latte is also delicious and home made using fresh fragrant herbs, none of that premix sand. The cafe layout is warm and welcoming (if only a tad small) and is perfect for having a catch-up with friends. The food is priced higher as you may expect in a good cafe but they certainly deliver a fresh and quality dish. Waiting times can be rather long at times as this diamond in the rough has been discovered by many and you should consider taking this into account before visiting.

Now these guys take their coffee very seriously, I'd say it's a coin toss between TLoHC and Patricia's for top spot in the city. So whether you fancy Espresso, Filter or Cold Drip, a myriad of options are available for your brew. TLoHC is another venture by the caffeine scientists at Padre Coffee, who have a few establishments about and continue to spread their fastidious coffee lore upon the populous.

They have a host of filter methods, a handful of coffees on espresso, some very reasonably priced retail goodies, and some tasty looking quesadillas (which I have not yet tried), as well as some cakes/sweets. The decor is mindbogglingly consistent, and pleasing to the eye. I really like the matching slayers and clover (especially that they have a clover).
