Wow, what a find! If you are a coffee lover then you definitely need to stop here. They roast their own beans too. Table service- indoor and outdoor seating. Great food options available. Superb coffee and wonderful service in a middle of a cute little town.

Stopped at Yarragon on Monday morning for a coffee. Tried the Shot House because it was one of the few that was open. I’ve gotta say lucky we did. Coffee was great, staff friendly and the aromas inside enticing. We’ll definitely be back next time we pass through Yarragon.

When I asked for a large strong coffee, a question was lobbed back at me: "4 shots then?" My immediate response was an "ooooo" & happy & excited "Yes, please!". If you'd like to review the man driving back to Melbourne cackling with insane joy while listening to Cindy Lee's Lucifer's Stand on repeat... I slowly sipped it as I rolled, savouring it, letting that beautiful house blend distract the interior self on a Friday afternoon. That highway is a nightmare of roadworks & bad design, but Yarragon is a beacon of light, & The Shot House one of the highlights. I embraced the aromas of this powerhouse lil' shop & carried away a delicious Papua New Guinean bean that I inhaled deeply as I navigated the growing madness as one approaches the city (anybody read that Will Self story about how sanity is a limited resource in the universe? Lot of evidence of that on the roads these days). The conversation was delightful, the cashier was informative & very polite about keeping up with my hyperactive ADHD self, & my housemate & I love their delightfully apt metal-inspired bumper stickers. Pour yourself into The Shot House & cruise through the noise of the maddening crowd with Steve 'n' Seagulls' beautiful cover of Nothing Else Matters cranked. Suits the rolling hills & spicy beans oh so well.

How did I not know about this Gem earlier? A MUST STOP on the way to Gippsland area! The shot house - Coffee Bar is my kind of bar. Although they don't have alcohol they have a selection of coffees and teas as well as products to help your coffee making at home. Love that they're pretty eco friendly. If you forgot your water bottle at home, they've got some for sale! MUST TRY: nitro cold brew. Gave a creamy nutty flavour without the dairy. If anyone can find this in Melbourne please tell me! Scones 3/5 but only because i'm comparing with places that specialise in devonshire tea etc. Unfortunately, this is not their area of expertise but it isn't bad. Price: fair. $4 for a small nitro cold brew. Atmosphere: relaxed, groovy urban cafe feel - you may forget you're in the country. Service: efficient even when busy. Got a gingerbread on our first visit. They forgot it on our 2nd :( - forgivable, we came for the coffee.

Lovely coffee guru on the machine. Ask him what his favourite bean is and try it! I did and now it’s my favourite. Despite working in hospitality the guru has maintained an air of friendly calm. Next visit and sadly I have given up caffeine. I don’t feel like I’m missing out however. Check out this herbal offering and only $4.50 😊😊

WOW! A fantastic cafe off the main street. Just right for a pit stop between Bairnsdale and Melbourne. The toasted Hope Farm fruit bun was delightful , the latte was perfect and service was friendly with a bit of barista banter thrown in. Bloody great!! Thanks team.😎😎.

Enjoyed a coffee here this morning. The first thing you notice is the beautiful coffee aroma that fills the shop. You could seriously charge to inhale it smells so good! The coffee is the best we have had! Friendly staff too. So do yourself a favour and pop in. You will not be disappointed!!

Really good quality coffee tucked away nicely just from the freeway with a friendly atmosphere. The staff were extra accomadating even amongst the long weekend rush and at the end of their long working day, legends. Will definitely be back.

I love this place!! What a hidden find!! Just a proper coffee shop but with great tea too - and a bit of food but it's not their main thing. Lots of pretty things for making tea and coffee and drinking it out of. To date I've bought: a Japanese-style cast iron tea pot, with lovely teas to make in it; lightweight mugs made from *bamboo* - great for road trips! Oh and a pirate cat cushion cover I could not resist!! Staff are always friendly and helpful. Did I mention I love this place??!! And the chocolate brownies are to die for!!! Thank you, Shot House, for existing - you make trips to and from Melbourne so much more interesting! :-)

They sell coffee beans, ground or whole, & weigh out the quantity for you while you are there, you know that's fresh!

As a coffee-holic I found The Shot House superb. The service was first class and the knowledge of everything from coffee beans to coffee making machinery is excellent. This shop has everything and then some. Craig is very well versed in the equipment he sells. He has tried and tested everything and can explain how to get the best results. All-in-all, if you like coffee you’ll love this place. Oh! they do food, tea and chia as well :-)
