I’ve been here a quite a few times now and have to say it’s always a wonderful experience. From time to time there might be a bit of a wait but the coffee is always perfect and the food has never disappointed. The court yard is a very pleasant place to be on a warm afternoon. Their ordering system has also been updated to allow you to directly order and pay via a ar code from your table. Today we shared a big breakfast and serve of pancakes. *note the big breakfast is definitely BIG! Thank you to the lovely staff who were still smiling on such a warm day!

A bake house with a long history turned/expanded to great outdoor cafe. The cafe yard has a well and the natural setting makes it more attractive to the people loves eating out on a sunny day. Despite all cool and nice arrangements our ordered food was a bit worse than usual cafe food, salt less with a down taste. Probably it was just a bad day for their kitchen. But I guess the bakery items are really popular in this area.

It's ok. Has the potential to be amazing. Food was OK, coffees aren't hot enough, hash browns are the best I have ever had though. I think if you are going to have an outdoor space, you need to make it good for all seasons. Eg sunshade in summer, outdoor heaters in winter, etc.

Went up to Yan Yean and decided to stop over for breakfast. Turners Bakehouse Eatery gave us something we didn't expect. The place is very beautiful as it looks like an old victorian house. As much as we loved to dine inside, we decided to try their outdoor dining place to enjoy the sunshine and the fresh air. The food was very delicious and healthy and was served by friendly staff. Located in Melbourne's Northern suburbs this bakehouse is a must visit for both breakfast or brunch. We ordered the special of the day "pumpkin smash", The eggs Benedict and the kids each had a chocolate croissant with a milk shake. All were presented well and tasted great. The layout is a solid Victorian era house that adds an old world charm. There is also an outdoor area that was busy and pleasant. The staff were efficient and very welcoming. With plenty of parking around I highly recommend.

A magic little spot hidden away in the back streets of a new estate. The bakery uses a 122 year old wood fired oven. The ambiance is relaxed even soothing. A well from the old bakery still sits in the middle of the courtyard. This little gem is worth the trip from the inner suburbs or if your lucky enough to live in the area you are spoilt for choice at breakfast.

Food was excellent! Great ambience too. The only two things I didn't like was the 10% surcharge on a public holiday and the fact that I was charged a dollar extra to have my coffee in a mug (and I wasn't told about this when I ordered my coffee).

Established in 1892, this placed not only got the charm and character everywhere you look at, they have breakfast and lunch to match. If you are going past the area, don't forget to try their scones with cream and jam. You will definetly will go there again.

Nice little cafe just off Plenty Road and nearby bike trails. Food was okay. Service was really slow. Nowhere to put bikes out of the way. Don't split bills which would be a problem for groups of cyclists. Could be much more bike friendly. Also might want to consider upgrading to Milk Lab Almond Milk. It tastes a whole lot better than Almond Breeze.

Generally a great place to relax, have a cuppa, chat and bite to eat. Unfortunately, we booked a table for mothers day (2019)...1 hr and 20 minutes later we'd still not recieved our simple meals. Yes we expected to wait, however an hr plus is a ridiculously excessive time to wait. Left without eating and the rings of complaints from others whom had arrived even earlier than us. Looks like they have replaced the staff again. This time it is an improvement. The main guy is nice, almost like how it used to be. The wait staff was friendly and did not take too long. I had the souvlaki and it was great. It was different, made with a tortilla and then cooked in the sandwich press, but delicious! Coffee was a bit strong, but order it with a glass of water. Though the menu has not changed much it has had some much needed improvement and is a worthy successor to tanks corner that has now gone down hill.

It is a shame that I can only give 4 star rating. The food is delicious with fresh ingredients. The sourdough bread is a must try. I love my pumpkin smash - something different from usual avocado. The only not so perfect is the customer service. When we were ready to pay at the counter, the lady just gave us a total amount without confirming our order or even bother to ask how was the food. In addition, she didn't inform about the card surcharge. I only noticed as I quickly glanced at the display board.

Had brunch with my son at Turner's Bakehouse on a lovely Sunday morning. They were very busy. The food is great so I guess that's the reason. Plus they have a lovely outdoor area and inside is beautiful & in winter they light fires. There were mix ups with drinks, etc due to businesses but they compensated us for this. I drink decaf & would like to see them use a more palatable brand.

A great place to go for Brunch, I went recently with my family and it's an old Victorian house converted into a bakehouse, separate seating areas in each room of the house, and there's a beautiful old fireplace in one room. A private outdoor courtyard is where we sat and so many choices on rhe menu. We felt like we were away on holidays in a county retreat. I would definitely go again.

Really like the sourdough and the hot chocolate. They allow the public to tour the bread kitchen, which had a historically significant oven, not to mention the sourdough starter, which has a history all of its own. There is a small but pretty garden with tables and chairs where you can have lunch.

What a wonderful treat this place is. Set along a fairly quiet suburban road, this eatery has a pioneering, early settler type of attractiveness to it. The large baked items are screaming homemade freshness and look incredibly tempting! Between the five of us, we ate almond croissant, chocolate au pain, a blueberry muffin and a vanilla slice. They were all extremely good, and the vanilla slice had a cream filling of some delicious description, rather than the ghastly custard that I loathe (but is loved by so many others...). Our waitress was delightful, attentive and friendly, as were the rest of the staff, and we picked up a yummy loaf of pumpkin sourdough bread to take home, which was superb, toasted up the next morning under avocado, smoked salmon and poached eggs. Well recommended.

The place is cosy (fires in winter). The staff are efficient and friendly. However, the online menu is different to the in-cafe version. Most of the online brunch items were not available on current menu. We had the Famous Breakie Burger ($14.50 in online menu). It was very tiny and we paid $17. Plus 10% pub hol fee (which I don't mind surcharge). But that came to $18.70!! That's steep increase for a party of 6 diners. Many breaky items are only one egg, so add $3.50 to get 2 (Plus 10%) !! The online reservation form doesn't work. I got no confirmation so called and left voice mail. Still no confirmation. So had to phone until answered. Look, the place is quaint, with fab atmosphere, and bakery cakes and pies are incredible. But very pricey for where it is.

This used to be a favorite of mine, however today has left me disappointed. Over half an hour to get a coffee, 40 minutes to get our food. The Hash Stack the girl ordered seemed smaller than normal, and the hash browns were overdone, while my pancakes with berries were scarce of berries. We also shared a ham and cheese croissant that was over cooked. With this being said, I'll be willing to give them another go but one more time being disappointed as we were today and I'll have to find another breakfast spot.

Ignore the mooks who give this place less than FIVE STARS! TURNER'S BAKERY IS THE BEST BREAKFAST SPOT IN THE MERNDA/DOREEN AREA. From French toast and pancake concoctions (the menu changes occasionally) to good ol' scrambled eggs or a tradie-style egg & bacon rolls. Great pastries, too, especially the almond croissants! (If you haven't tried the almond croissants, they are to DIE for)!! And ALL of the staff -- Beck, Cassie, Effie, Emily, Emma, Marianne (or Maryann), Natalie and Jay (and anyone else I might not have met, yet) are friendly and professional.

Normally a great atmosphere but on Monday 15.07.19 it wasn't a pleasant experience staff member that served us wasn't friendly at all we had to ask twice for water and I had to ask for a glass with my mineral water also my steak and shiraz pie had very hard to chew pieces so I left half for $16.50 I think that's a bit rich my son's pie with mash was drowned in watery gravy normally a pleasant experience but not today sorry to say , a smile goes a long way in customer service need more training in that area

Cosy best describes Turners, an old bakery and house where the various living spaces have been turned into dining rooms. The foods honest, straightforward and well, unpretensious. Cornish pastie and chips to eat in. A sourdough olive loaf to take home. Good times.

I love this place. Amazing service with a smile every time. The cafe is located in a historical building between Doreen and Mernda (close to the future station). There is a really good ambience of traditional building and elements put together in a contemporary way. The table setup is fantastic, there are separate rooms in the interior where you can have privacy (maybe with another table or two of people in the room depending on the day) including a room set up with games toys and books for children. There is also a really nice garden area where dogs are welcome. The food is very good. Breakfasts and lunches are delicious with a good range including some vegan options. The cakes and pastries are divine and the coffee is very good. They also sell their own sourdough (and maybe other bread??) takeaway.
