Comments of City Farm Café

I know this comes up as good vegan options. And you'd really expect that it should but it doesn't. Mushroom burger sliders. That's it. Not bad in so far as those things go. But hard to recommend.
P. B.
Neatly tucked away from behind the Claisebrook stations and a Yellow Cat bus stop - it’s a gorgeous cafe with its lavish gardens, and its outdoor modern-rustic setting is wonderful for quiet brunches. Their scrambled is one of the best in Perth. Their coffees are a lot larger than I expected. All round great staff, food and atmosphere!
M. C.
Decent busy cafe located inside city farm in East Perth. Quite busy in the morning so be prepared to wait for coffee and food - even take away. Freshly made good quality food and decent coffee - not the cheapest place but has a nice environment
H. S.
Having looked at their menu online I was a little bit concerned before going because although it sounded like a great ‘grown your own’ type menu - their website mentioned a lot of bacon and eggs and not a lot of veggies eg salad or soups. Their website menu doesn’t do the full offering justice. They had a number of different salads, quiches, pastries and a soup available today that were on display and hence not on their menu. Also the first few photos on Google show old tables and chairs, the white chairs really brighten up the feel so it was a glorious afternoon in the spring sunshine. The only let down was that the salads didn’t have a lot of flavour- they needed a dressing to spruce them up a bit.

Been here many times. It's our go to place for work breakfasts. This place has the best bacon! It's thinly sliced and when cooked some bits are delicious and crispy. They use the freshest ingredients, such as the sweetest strawberries on the ploughman's platter. Not only is the food good, they also make great coffee. Keep up the good work!

Relaxed open air cafe next to a genuine farmer's market. Bacon and egg burger ain't cheap but tastes great. Would give 5 stars if coffee was better.
V. J.
great taste of coffee just perfect also very good environment
A. C.
Great place for breakfast, food is delicious. Lovely place to see and walk around the fruit and vvegetable gardens. All the produce looks well tended, Looking forward to go to a market day there.
A. S.
Always enjoy out morning out at the farm. Very friendly store holders and great produce.
F. Z.
The only farmers' market that I frequent.. friendly service and great quality, with a fantastic selection of seasonal fruit and vegetables
D. G.
Happy 25th anniversary City Farm! great place for a wedding or barn dance or market!

Lush cafe.
It's pleasant to sit out in the garden.
They also do plenty of events and expos. You can also hire out some of their halls and being near the train and cat bus is really convenient
S. W.
Friendly staff who delight in fulfilling your order. Excellent coffee, delicious food, in a homely setting. Conveniently located near Claisebrook train station, they are best placed to provide your much needed morning brew. Be sure to give them a go!
Y.
Lovely outdoor cafe. Croque Monsieur was a bit disappointing, not very much cheese!
R. B.
Good coffee. Turkish breakfast was not the most authentic but very enjoyable. Great vibe. Friendly staff and good service
I. S.
A peaceful spot to stop and enjoy a taste of nature in the city. The food and coffee are good, with ample seating and you can see over the lovely gardens and fresh produce of the City Farm. The service can be a bit random but you are outdoors enjoying some fresh are so relax.

Coffee is on point. Chickpea brekkie and chicken/waffle dishes are A+... so well balanced. The lady who runs the seafood stall at the Sat markets is a STAR. We'd been longing for a high quality seafood supplier in the area and it doesn't get better than finding one at your fave breakfast place! Well done!
R. W.
Great coffee, delicious muffins. Came to City Farm many years ago, stumbled on it again while doing a short course at the nearby TAFE and delighted to find it now has a cafe. A very short walk from the Claisebrook train station, this is a great location for a heart start morning coffee with some fantastic breakfast options. Settled for the berry and white chocolate muffins, still warm from the oven. Amazingly light and delicious! Staff were prompt and friendly, lovely undercover eating area out of the hot sun was a relief.
B. M.
Best kept secret in Perth! A beautiful garden cafe hidden amongst train lines and corporate buildings, once you step through the gates of the city farm, you instantly get transported to a peaceful and happy place. The little farmers market on the weekends is a magical touch 🤩 couldn’t recommend it more if you’re looking to try something different.

Great food. Nice setting on a sunny day
J. C.
Accompanied by a relaxing, rural garden aesthetic, the food at City Farm Cafe is both varied and seasonally appropriate. I highly recommend the Moroccan lamb sausage rolls and the potato rosti with Tasmanian smoked salmon for their perfect texture and delightful flavours.
My only point of criticism is that I feel the corn fritter works better without the accompaniment of maple syrup, but even that is a niche issue.
S. K.
I love LOVE City Farm. The food is fantastic and the produce from the Saturday market is amazing. BUT! The eggs on my salmon were over done... Still, 5 stars for a great tasting breakfast, service, and environment.
E. D.
Great Organic Vegetables at fair prices.Fruit really nice, but not Organic with minimal spray.
There is fish, bread & can eat there too! Breakfast is really nice & tasty.
There other wares too, like honey, face cream & much more.
C. J.
Produce is grown on the premises. Has a nice hipster type vibe, organic food, quirky staff, nice atmosphere. Limited menu, mainly gourmet sandwiches and cakes, but breakfast is quite nice. Coffee is definitely the stand out though. Not the cheapest prices, but depending what you order, it can be value for money
S. H.
My go to place each morning for coffee! Raspberry and white choc muffins just out of the oven! I try and resist, and am successful maybe 2 out of 5 days 😜

As you would expect on a farm..... Good, Fresh Tucker and supporting a great cause.
A. R.
My family love coming to the cafe, we catch the train in, feed the chickens out the back, stroll through the gardens and learn about the herbs, fruit trees and bees.
Then we eat fresh lovely food for brekky while the kids all play in the sandpit with the diggers.
Recommend for all ages, lots of options for fussy/vegan/not-vegan eaters!
R. S.
A good selection of fresh meals , can tell all ingredients are very fresh, very reasonably priced meals. Great coffee. Very friendly staff.
C. T.
Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The food here is reasonably priced and tastes homemade. I recommend the hash-browns :)

Nice atmosphere with lots of greenery. I got a reuben which was good. The hot food menu was quite expensive with lots of dishes containing eggs, which I'm not crazy about.
V. R.
Love this place! Kid friendly and with some shade, a decent choice of drinks and food. Great for meet ups and catch ups, because you can actually hear other people speak.
E. D.

Wonderful spot for lunch. Great coffee and beautiful food. Worth your time if you're in East Perth - 5/5
S. Z.
Wonderful cafe! Absolutely amazing to visit with little kids, lovely to see all the veg and plants growing.
S. W.
Drum circles. Farmers markets. Vegan options out the wazoo. Raves. Lazers. Art space. Bus out the front. Free water. City farm will make you realise that you don't need to have cows to have a kickass farm in the city. The cows would just be a distraction. A smelly distraction.
C. T.

Great selection of food and nice outdoor area with relaxing atmosphere. Coffees not as consistent as i would like but does the trick in need
H. B.
Always delicious food in a lovely setting. Scrambled eggs with cheddar are delish, as were the corn fritters. Lots of vegetarian options.
S. H.
Casual, friendly, try to source local (even their own garden!), sandpit for kids. Buddha Bowl so fresh and tasty, aranchini balls were amazing.
N. O.
The menu offers awesome no nonsense choices. Hearty and very generous portions for the price! Great atmosphere, good for your family, friends, date, and pet 😊
A. J.
A quaint and interesting concept. The cafe serves good-quality food and it's obvious that the site is succeeding at providing rural and artistic facilities to the Perth CBD.
K. J.
Amazing breakfast and great coffee

Delicious raw and vegan foods, kombucha, teas. Shopped for potplants afterwards. Lovely relaxed lunch. One of our regulars. We love it!
A. H.
Great location, rustic decor, and although we loved what we ordered for brunch, that particular morning service was very slow. Would go again to see if service was better next time.
P.
We ordered the chunky delicious minestrone soup (about $11) and BLT burger (about $15). I loved the burger bun with sesame (?) seeds.
S. G.
This may be a controversial statement, but I strongly believe that City Farm cafe do the best sausage rolls in Perth.
S. Z.
Wonderful cafe! Absolutely amazing to visit with little kids, lovely to see all the veg and plants growing.

Nice relaxed feel and lovely muffins but breakfast very basic and over priced - and only very small cup of tea for $4.50
K. C.
Delicious food and lovely people. The Moroccan lamb sausage rolls were phenomenal.
R. v. H.
Quirky Quaint Healthy Delish. Lovely venue feels like being in Nanna's back garden & directly on the CAT free bus route or train line
D. L.
Great little community garden next door. Fantastic organic food and drinks. Lovely cafe to go on the weekend
S. M.
Great fresh food, original menu. a 5th star would be awarded if they accepted AMEX like most normal retailers
R. W.
Great coffee and food. Parking can be a bit difficult but there's a train station right there (claisebrook).
A. v. S.
Great down-to-earth cafe and adjacent market/garden, really pulls the hipster crowd on the weekend; if you're not into that go during the week
F. F.

T. H.

TBO Organics has the healthiest, cleanest and best variety of biodynamic produce in the market. My go to on Saturday mornings!
P. V.
