Visited this morning with a friend. Coffee was great. I ordered Turkish eggs and overall it was good, though serving size can be increased with some better sides and not just a 'bed of yougurt'. Overall I was not disappointed but my friend was! He ordered pancakes and they turned out to be cold, dry and chewy, as if they were unfresh or pre-cooked. Nice place with friendly staff. Can do better. Will return again after a while and if I see improvements then surely I will give it a better star rating. Cheers!

Loving this trendy little place tucked away in the suburbs. Great coffee the food cabinet looks good but haven't tried yet. I only found it because of a traffic jam on the way to work so decided to cut through through suburbs.

Went to visit Coode St Cafe as I was told the previous chef of 12 years was back!! I couldn't believe how amazing the food and service was. The menu has been changed back to the previous Coode St Cafe menu with some exciting new additions and heaps of familiar meals. The atmosphere is just phenomenal. I am so excited to keep visiting this cafe regularly again. The place is so clean and tidy and the staff all work so hard. The chef is one of a kind and I am excited to see Coode Street back up and running again!

This place went a bit precious under its previous owners. Now it's back to a more traditional menu, though with a few slightly different items. Prices were reasonable.

The bacon and egg opening special is delicious and great value. They also happily cooked my bacon soft instead of crispy which was appreciated and no fuss :) very happy and the Dark Star coffee is always a winner.

Had lunch with a friend there today. It used to be called the Coode St Cafe. New owner has done a lovely job of redecorating and reinstalled the outdoor mist cooling, nicely refreshing on a hot day. Coffee and croissant were lovely, quite thick ham in the croissant. Thanks to the staff for a lovely lunch.

HIDDEN GEM. Coode Street Cafe is back! In the perfect area of Mt Lawley however, secluded enough from the rush! Staff is super kind and the food is amazing and well priced. Love to see the name changed back and I can now say I have now fallen in love with their masala chips!

Went here on a Saturday for the first time. I had a black coffee and the salmon omelet. The coffee wasn’t bad but the food took a long time to arrive. When it did, the omelet had little flavour, the rolled up cucumber added little to the dish and the tomato paste type sauce on the side seemed out of place and clashed with the rest of the blandish flavours. My partner had the sausage dish which was equally disappointing. They tried to combine different flavours together but it just did t quite work. The honeycomb on top of the poached eggs did not add anything and rather became soggy and crumbly from sitting on the egg. The randomly spread spinach seemed little less than an afterthought of garnish. All in all, the limited menu does not live up to my expectations but the drinks, the chocolate frappe in particular, were good. The cakes are apparently made in house and although I didn’t have any, they all looked amazing. I would recommend the place as a cake and coffee meetup but stay away from the breakfast menu.

Had breakfast here with family and the meal was perfect. Fresh Juice, Latte, bacon & scramble eggs. Scramble eggs are to die for. Staff were very polite and friendly. Great location with parking. The decor is need and comfortable seating. Alot of hard work and a job well done Bowie Kitchen team. All the best

Some really great home style cakes/pastries & coffee was good. Mains we tried were not quite as good. Staff were happy, pleasant, even out going Food: The cold meat, gherkin & fetta cheese board appeared 'unfinished'. Even just a drizzle of oil on the cheese would have alleviated the dryness of the cheese. The beef Mie Goreng, while a generous serve, was savoury in flavour but somehow did not taste authenticly Malasian. Effort with service was evident but lacked in a couple of areas (insufficient silverware provided for the 3 of us, no napkins & when requesting them the wait person forgot to return with them). Delayed wait for our hot drinks but once received, they were very good Freshly prepared juices looked amazing & my friends enjoyed them.

Gorgeous artwork around the place and lots of green plants to make a feel like you are in the middle of the nature . Food/cakes are nice and fresh and coffee is good ! Had the most delectable and decadent breakfast this morning....not just food but a foodie experience. Must try the Mondo chicken and veal sausage with honeycomb.....WHAT? ???? sweet, salty and savoury is a winner. Coffee..smooth with a perfect caffeine kick, the barista knows her craft. The staff right mix of warmth and attentiveness without wanting to be life long friends. Will be back to this new and exciting find.

I love this place. Coffee is always good. Food is delightful. And the service impeccable. Well done guys. The only downer is the lack of parking when its busy, but worth the effort.10/10. To the sausage swapper, don't cut off your nose to spite your face, try them again they have some new staff. Go on and ill buy you a coffee.

I've been to this cafe a decent number of times spread over a larger period of time and I'm happy to say, it remains a consistently very pleasant experience at this cafe. The location is nice, they've got a good full offering to choose from and a nice layout to the seating (offering plenty indoor and outdoor) and the staff are consistently helpful, kind and assistive to your needs. There's a lovely relaxing feeling at this cafe and it's a nice location to just be in that's relaxed and not relentlessly busy.

I haven't been here in years. So glad my friend and I decided to have breakfast here. Under new managment . Our meal was amazing (I'm a fussy foodie) and more than I expected, I definitely didn't need lunch after. The service was 5 stars, staff were friendly and accommodating. Great chilled vibe. And wow plenty of homemade cakes! Try their "cherry ripe" cake ....soooo good!! The new owner definitely knows what he's doing and how to look after his customers. Will definitely be back!!

Mixed experiences for me since I moved back to Perth CBD in early 2017, food usually good but avoid the Thai salad. Others say has gone downhill since new owners in 2017, seems plausible to me.
