Extremely welcoming staff gave us a succinct and informative tasting tour of a choice selection of award winning chocolates. So very tasty and well worth the experience. Delicious coffee and decadent treats...be sure to grab some fresh baked choc-chunk biscuits!!! Beautiful surrounds with large areas for a relax under the trees while the kids play. Enough indoor and outdoor seating for a dozen or so families. An enjoyable and genuine experience. 100% recommended.

These guys know how to do chocolate! They seemed so passionate about it when they were offering us samples. I still can't get over the cocoa bean sourced from Java being as smoky as it was because it grew next to a volcano! The people that worked there seemed to really love the place and that definitely made our visit that much sweeter. I recommend pairing a mocha with a choc chip cookie if you don't mind a little richness for afternoon tea 🥰❤️‍🔥

The cookies are to die for!!! (especially when still warm). The Milkshake was ok, but nothing I'd write home about. No spoon given and the paper straw provided makes it hard to eat the chocolate on the cup/drink the drink. The ice cream was really good (hard to get it back off our son lol). The staff were very friendly and helpful. Had a good time playing out in the grassed area. We'll be back!!! 🙂

This really is one of those South West gems that is completely underrated. It's so easy to just drive past- but dont!!This is the best place to go for an adult chocolate experience (not as kid friendly as other choc venues which is why I love it). All chocolate is made on site, bean to bar. The staff are very friendly and will happily take you through a tasting. The drinks and icecream (award winning) are also fabulous. We had the coffee icecream with cocoa nibs and agreed it is the best we have ever had. I love going back here whenever I'm in the region. I'm enjoying my latest block so much, I'm thinking of ordering more up to Perth.

We love to visit Gabriel Chocolate and try to return with every trip we take to the Margeret River region. The grounds and buildings are well maintained, clean and tidy, with lovely views and surrounded by gorgeous flora and fauna. The staff are helpful, kind, and informative, giving tastings to help you pick your ideal flavour, and explaining the taste profile behind each type of chocolate. In my opinion, Gabriel's has the best plain chocolate bars in the state. Their expertise in creating their chocolate from bean to bar is highlighted by the beautiful background flavours and subtle notes that change from each different flavoured bar. If you are a super food and/or smoothie lover like me, I reccomend their Cacao nibs, as they have a beautiful, rich chocolatey flavour which goes perfectly in a fruit or dairy smoothie (as well as flavoured oats!). Gabriel's little Cafe section is light, roomy, and cushy, with gorgeous cakes, gelato, and drinks to choose from (I highly reccomend the orange and chocolate cake, the hint of cardamom was absolutely beautiful 👌). We will definitely be back, even when the store is busy we never have a bad experience here 😊

I love this place! The chocolate is so authentic. There is so much variety and choice dark, milk, white with different origins and flavours. The Cafe is great. Delicious ice cream and rich hot chocolates. They make the best chocolate chip cookies with rock salt on top. The gentleman at the front is knowledgeable and shows you the beans and you get to have free samples. A great place to stop. The outside has a grass area for the kids so they can run around too while you enjoy your hot drink.

The super friendly staff were so happy to give tastings of the chocolates and explain a bit about how they are made here at Gabriel Chocolate. Delicious chocolate from bean to the bar made on the premises. It's very close to dunsborough. The coffee is really good. The hot chocolate & mocha's have their wonderful dark chocolate in them, 65 percent to 72 percent. You can buy all kinds of their chocolate in different bundles. There's a grassy area for kids to run around and a bean bag toss game to play. Something for everyone.

We originally stopped by the Margaret River Chocolate Company, but quickly discovered it to be a proverbial mutton dressed as lamb. Disappointed and trying to keep the resident chocolate connoisseur onside, we headed to Gabriel’s in search of a better experience. Upon entry, we were greeted by staff and offered a chocolate tasting session, which is not something we’d experienced before. Clearly passionate about chocolate, our guide explained the differences between the products and offered samples whilst we proceeded through the range. A truly pleasant visit and we had no hesitation buying a selection of the products on offer before leaving.

Stumbled across this cute little chocolatier and we were so glad we stopped to check it out! Lots of samples and education about their delicious chocolates, plus the lovely personalities of the owners which made the experience special. When we asked about cocoa nibs, we were given plenty of freshly roasted nibs to try, and the owner also gave us advance samples of a 99% sugar free chocolate that he’s just started making. I’m a big fan of dark chocolate but I know that at those levels, the creaminess and full flavour really needs to balance the bitterness - and they have nailed it. If you have a love for dark single origin chocolate, this is the place. The guy that helped us out was very knowledgeable and took us through the history of the cacao source and tasting notes. I ended up buying a stack of dark chocolate as, especially the 99%, was nothing like I've had before. On the same property as a winery if you want the ultimate indulgence.

There is not a lot here but what is here is excellent. We didn't try the restaurant so I can't comment but I did try the chocolate and you should too. The chocolate is from single sourced cacao and even the hot chocolate and mocha comes with the source identified. Try the ice cream. It is truly excellent and I can be a bit picky about 'home made' ice cream. But this could not be faulted. There is wine tasting too and although I didn't try the wine those who did were enthusiastic about the quality. This place is worth the effort, the orange chocolate ice cream alone is worth the drive. Obviously I recommend this place, and you will too after you have tried it. Worth the 5 stars.

Make this a stop (or two) on your Margaret river itinerary. We scooped up some excellent bars, and took advantage of the samples on offer by the lovely staff. Coffee and gelato are also excellent. Can’t speak for the baked goods, but they did look awfully tempting. Compared with the industrial scale Margaret river chocolate place up the road, this bean to bar place is really a gem worth visiting.

The chocolate is moreish and the ice cream is amazingly creamy bordering on a mousse (speaking of the chocolate only) Gabriel's is an attraction in itself to go along with the wineries in the area so definitely take the time! House of Cards Winery is also part of the same space so if you want to take in some tasting at the same time.

First off, I have read some reviews before and I am amazed to see people have given less than 5 stars, one even saying that Cadbury’s chocolate tastes better! Such people have no taste for chocolate as Gabriel’s is the best chocolate (dark, milk and white) in Margaret River, if not ever! They are out of their minds! I love the chocolate here, don't get me wrong. I brought guests from overseas to Gab's. The lady at the front was catering to caucasians. She repeated "what makes us different..." to only the caucasians and was extremely reluctant to hand out testers to my guests. Speaking to us as though we didn't even understand English and assuming we have never tried blue cheese (java dark choco). Very disappointing.

I'm a pretty big fan of chocolate, I've been to a decent variety of chocolate factories and outlets, including Haigh's factory in Adelaide, Cadbury factory Tasmania, Margaret River Chocolate company factory, Whistlers factory outlet, etc, and out of all the visits this place wins hands down. Okay it's hard to call it a factory, since it's more of a boutique small scale production, but they make their chocolate absolutely from bean to bar, which is the main thing to me. I know a lot of people love the M.R. Chocolate Company, but the impression I get of that place is that they melt chocolate and make a bunch of shapes/flavours, I'd rather do that myself at home. Or visit the supermarket if I want to view some variety. Meanwhile, at Gabriel's, the staff member at the counter will introduce you to the process of bean production (if you're interested), where the beginners can learn how it works and the more knowledgable people can ask technical questions. We had the same guy on both visits, I really wish I'd caught his name- he was involved in the chocolate making and knew every process and every bean inside and out. We tasted a range of chocolates from varying origins, and wow what a difference it makes. I've discovered I love the 72% criollo from Java (this one is amazing), the 72% Papua New Guinea chocolate (so fruity) and the 99% Chuao origin chocolate (pure chocolate, no sugar, yet completely edible and tasty). I'm kicking myself for not trying the 72% Chuao version for comparison, I'll just have to do that next time.. If you ask, he might open the door for you to peek behind the scenes. Too bad patrons are not allowed back there, although fingers crossed they eventually expand their chocolate tourism capabilities!! Considering how small and niche they are, VERY reasonable prices. Half the price of their competitor Bahen and Co (we saw Bahen and Co 75g bars being sold for $12 each, while you can buy Gabriel's 85g bar from ~$6.50). They pride themselves on competitive and reasonable pricing, while still using top notch beans. Overall, this place is currently the equivalent of a vineyard's cellar door. You go into a shop front, taste their produce and talk about it, purchase what you liked, and hang out at their cafe. I'm excited by it's potential though, I think there's room for future chocolate tours? :) :)
