Cannot recommend this place enough! We first came across Goanna Gourmet catering at a wedding open day at Solitaire Homestead - we loved the samples so much that we had to go to the Goanna Gallery Cafe the very next morning for breakfast! Again an amazing experience. We then realised this was the company for us for our wedding catering! The catering was first class, consistency across all the tables and we were receiving compliments all night from friends and family regarding the food! We even had people checking out other tables for any leftovers they could scoop up!

Surprisingly amazing dinning experience given the family friendliness and wild backdrop but wow! Compliments to the chef! The pan-fried potato & ricotta gnocchi was delicious and presented beautifully. The fried chicken sandwich packed a bit of flavour and half wagin duck, red coconut curry didn't disappoint either. Too many dishes to try, so little time left on this road trip. We'll be back again for sure.

Very popular. Best to make a reservation. This lovely cafe is tucked away in the Bush. The Spanish breakfast was exceptionally tasty the chorizo giving it a zing and the eggs Benedict was creamy and delicious. The kids breakfasts were a little small for two growing boys. Did our research before our host recommending this cafe as well. Food and people are gorgeous! Loved it so much that we made sure to pop by again on our way out of the region. The gluten-free toast and GF options are perfect! I had the brekkie with eggs and mushrooms the first time, Spanish breakfast the second time around. The mate had pancakes and eggs benny both times; both times perfect. Coffee first time around was much stronger than coffee the second time around. Either way, breakfast is fabulous. Dreamy. I recalled the pure excitement of making my way to Goanna simply drawn by its 'Gallery & Bush' concept for a meal five years ago, and was impressed by the welcoming bush setting as soon as I turned into the property's car park. The property is well set up with 3 generous dining areas - front verandah, indoor and outdoor. All areas are great and with no doubt the backyard outdoor setting accompanied by beautiful tall trees and bush setting on a sunny day is my go to :) There is also a showcase of locally made products for gifting or just to splurge on. The delivery of attentive service and scrumptious meals sourced from local produce show tremendous passion and love from the Goanna team. My guests and I are blown away in many occasions by the delectable seasonal dishes put up and we left the premise with highly satisfied soul and belly. My favourite breakfast is the poached pear granola (being a granola girl) and lunch the ragu beef with gnocci plus the malabar chai + soy + honey. Whatever dish it is, the freshness, quality, texture and balanced of flavour never fail to disappoint. Thank you Goanna team for your passion to deliver food and service with love at Yallingup! It has now become a spot I look forward to check-in everytime when visiting the region!

Very busy and though we booked and arrived on time unfortunately the people at the table we reserved outstayed their time and then other customers came in and took our table against the flow. Not the staff's fault just other customers not following directions. Meal was excellent when it finally arrived at another table we claimed as ours which was much nicer outdoors so it worked out well in the finish, I ordered the Spanish Breakfast but they missed out on the roast tomato which was on the menu. But very popular and busy with great friendly staff service and food. Highly recommended but book well in advance like a day or 2 prior. 👍

Today we left disheartened and annoyed. In fairness it was the start of the school holidays and almost every cafe is short of staff. We arrived at opening time of 0830am .. but were told we would need to leave within 45 minutes. The coffee, usually exceptional, was luke warm and tastless. We decided not to order the Indo breakfast, our favourite, and ordered vegimite on toast. Fast. Overall, frustrating and leaving us under valued and not wanting to return any time soon.

The Bush breakfast was pretty good too, the service was a bit slow and they should have had someone at the front door seating people as people had to line up at the till to get seated, its reservations only and they're pretty strict about the time limits. All in all, the food is great they just need better service. And they have free wifi, you just need to ask for the password

Exactly what would come to your mind when you think of a bush cafe ... just even better! As you enter the cafe two things will strike you: the nice simple yet cosy atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. Food is mouth-watering which is true for the vegetarian options too (the mushrooms+taleggio arancini with fresh pesto should be the excuse for every vegetarian to come and try this place). They also serve alcohol, a soup of the day and weekly specials. The slow cooked lamb was superb. Great venue for kids that can enjoy either the playground or a walk in the path around the premise. You can take a look at the products for sale while waiting for your food (they do service at the table).

Love this place. Nestled away in the trees of Dunsborough you will find the most amazing little cafe! The food is spectacular both breakfast and lunch, everything made with the freshest ingredients. When a restaurant is named a Bush Cafe, it literally is tucked away in the bush, although the Gallery part of name was difficult to relate. Nevertheless, our trepidation on seeing pastries and baked food in the display cabinet, creating visions of a run-of-the-mill cafe, was pleasantly turned around, when the food came. Food was served in order of the entrees being finished before the mains were being prepared. We were not disappointed. Well presented and prepared food which would make any fine dining restaurant proud, despite the very casual and easy-going ambience. Well done, Goanna! I will be finding my way again into this 'middle-of-nowhere' soon.

I’ve been here twice now for brekkie and lunch and both times were AMAZING! Brought a group of 16 for lunch and everyone ABSOLUTLEY loved their meals, The gnocchi was spectacular super creamy and melted cheese ontop paired with the ratatouille 👌; Bloody Mary’s spicy; all combined with a beautiful walk through the bush to look at the sculptures and play on the playground. Even the second time around it was still such a fun experience for the whole family. Definitely recommend for anyone travelling down south; a must.

This is a busy place! Hard to get a booking at short notice on the weekend. Very hipster kinda vibes. The signs at the front desk contradicted each other so we weren’t sure if we should wait to be seated or go to the register, but the answer is, wait at the door. Order at the counter. Felt like a long wait with food. Food was amazing. Kids play area outside and then in the bush there’s an old play area that would be fantastic if it was fixed up a bit.

Great food, coffee and setting. Beautiful bush block, with more space given over to the cafe than our last visit. Between the family we had 5 things off the breakfast menu and each one was delicious, distinct and beautifully presented. Coffee and juices were delicious too! Icing on the cake is the proximity of the kids playground to one of the seated areas meaning they could run riot whilst we ate in peace, and we didn't have to feel guilty that they were affecting the experience of others who were seated in the separate dining areas. :)

This spot is a gem. I’m really happy we managed to find this beautiful gallery and cafe. The staff were super friendly and the food is super enjoyable. You can taste the quality in the food and coffee we appreciated while having breakfast. Don’t leave without checking out the store inside, the items are amazing. Nice to be sitting in the bush environment and enjoying a great quality meal. Coffee was great!! Not crowded. Nice, chilled environment. Only issue was the staff expecting you to know intuitively to help yourself to cutlery and then reluctantly getting it when you ask about it. If you're sitting out the front, how are you supposed to know? Standing in front of a fridge behind a counter and still pointing to the water you need to get yourself. It just felt a little lacking in friendliness and service. I don't mind getting my own water and cutlery but it was just how it came across. Other than that, would come back....now I know the rules.

I ordered the Indo breakfast and realised after a while that it might have shrimp paste in it which I'm allergic to. I asked at the front counter and found out it did but it was already made. They made me another dish without complaint, fast tracked the order and it was the best Eggs Benny I've ever had! Crisp toast, delicious hollandaise, perfectly cooked free range eggs, bright spinach. We've been here several times during holidays in the Capes region, and we have never been disappointed. There are friendly, helpful staff and great food. The food we had this time (smoked chicken salad, fried seafood gnocchi, orange and polenta cake) was absolutely wonderful, and of course the setting is fantastic.

Today was our first visit to the Goanna Gallery Cafe. We were very fortunate to get a reservation for our large group of 10 with 2 infants. The drinks and food were amazing however we may have cought the staff on a bad day. We can understand that it is school holidays and busy however they were not very friendly and didn't look like they wanted to be there. not even appreciative when we handed in a $50 note found on the floor, it was just grabbed out of my sister's hand and not even a thank you was said. Again we can not fault the food it was amazing and the gnocchi was the highlight... just let down by the staff.

First visit to this wonderful cafe. Di and I had lunch out in the back area on a glorious early summer's day. Di had the burger which unfortunately came with the greens she'd asked to have removed. She liked it. I had the grilled prawns with lamb sausage on a unique salad. Looked nothing like I expected but was very tasty. The local Mongrel Creek shiraz was light and ideal for a summer meal. Superb ambience and very friendly staff ensured we'll be back.

This place was good. I tried a mean Green cold pressed juice in the spirit of being healthy: I didn't enjoy it. I also got a piece of carrot cake which was very nice. There is a play area for children, my 2yo loved it, but it's not fenced off very well from the parking lot. There's stumps dividing the play area from the footpath so you have limited time to chase if your child is a runner.

Most of the seating is located outside so be sure to dress warm on cooler mornings. It has a small playground for little kids. I have pretty much tried all of the breakfasts here and they are all great- the bush breakfast is my favourite...but the Indonesian breakfast and smokey BBQ are also great. The kids breakfsat is also good (only 2 options - bacon and egg or pancakes and berries...my kids love both).

Such a fantastic cafe in a beautiful setting. The food is excellent, and the coffee exceptional. They have a play area for kids (mostly suited to young ones) and a shop with lots of lovely wares. There was lots of the little blue Fairy Wrens to watch darting about and even a lizard or maybe it was a goanna?! We took a relative from the UK and he said it was his favourite place to eat that we visited whilst in Dunsborough.
