I liked the place. Quiet inside, just a few pesky flies if you sit near the big window all the flies are trying to get out of. The Anna Banana smoothly was nice, next time I’ll ask for a second date to be put in it… could hardily taste that puppy. The Big Ben breakfast was good as well. The gluten free option bread didn’t taste like cardboard either. One thing that struck me was the staff were gracious under pressure. Even though they were busy, they put the napkins down on the table and laid out the knives and forks nicely. I like it. We’ll be back. 5 stars.

Went here on Boxing Day public holiday at 11am and they were extremely busy. However, even though they were busy, the service was still good and staff were very friendly and accommodating. Seats were available so there was not a waiting time for me (yay) The menu was Asian fusion, which I liked, as it defines themselves from the usual brunch places. I had a flat white with oat milk, the cinnamon scroll pancakes with a slab of bacon and my friend had the Big Ben Breakfast. I liked the pancakes, as it was not too overly sweet like other pancakes. I would recommend this place for the atmosphere and good service. If you like interesting brunch menus then this would be a go to as well.

Decent food, bit of a long wait but it was tasty. Coffee were good and the outdoor garden seating area is well setup for rainy/overcast days with heating and umbrellas. A nice spot to chill for brunch or coffee.

This a nicely furnished venue, both inside and out! It has a good atmosphere, friendly staff and some interesting and tasty food options. My tea was bitter, over-brewed, or just not great quality leaves. I enjoyed my food though and the portions were quite generous! I loved the real indoor plants and modern decor.

So, so service as either too much turnover or poorly trained staff. Went there for lunch once and dinner at another time. Food was excellent. The lunch menu appears to be all day brunch with food that was nicely complemented by the accompaniments. You can either enjoy a very noisy atmosphere or be thrown off by the over boisterous lunch crowd. Dinner was equally busy.

We went to Nic and Kolo for brunch this week and we were disappointed by the very slow service. It was very quiet with only a few customers both inside and out and yet we had to wait to be greeted and seated. Then our coffee order and food orders both took a very long time to arrive, 20 minutes for the coffees and another 30 minutes for our food. The food was very Instagram worthy in looks and description but pretty ordinary in context and flavour. And not to mention the pesky flies that seem to be an unfortunate and less than pleasant problem. Overall our brunch was a somewhat disappointing experience. Certainly room for improvement.

The place is usually quite packed on a weekend so our food took a while to come but the waitstaff were friendly and helpful. Price is a bit higher than average for a brunch joint but in my opinion the flavours justify the cost.

Great place, with some of the best food. Been here multiple times, recently for Valentine's Day dinner and menu was great. Food was well presented and portion was generous. Breakfast and dinner menu is a must try, highly reccomend the gnocchi, it is amazing. Quality of food is high and you get what you pay for. Drinks are really good and hope to see more new things on the menu.

Really great service and absolutely delicious coffee! The food however was nothing to rave about. We ordered the Mac and Cheese Egg Benedict and the Buttermilk Pancake with bacon and honeycomb. The Mac and Cheese egg Benedict was not as great as expected, the Mac and cheese wasn’t very flavorful. The eggs on top however were cooked to perfection, very runny! The pancakes were also quite average, the best part was the bacon smothered in honey. While we wouldn’t order these dishes again, we’d definitely come back for their coffee as it was exceptional!

My wife decided to surprise me with a lunch here after her pleasant experience previously, and I’m glad my first experience is also a lovely one. It is located at the trendy Applecross suburb corner of Ardross and MacDonald St, with a nice, chic ambience both exterior and interior. With a newborn in tow, we arrived ~130pm on a weekday, and there were some nice tables available inside by the windows. We ordered their signature Salmon bruschetta & their special of the day ‘Barra wings with Asian salad & Nam Jim sauce’. We enjoyed both very much, the price is reflective of the trendy suburb. The waitresses were all pleasant & friendly, and the only constructive feedback is that we had to call them over to take our order & get some water topup etc, a reflection of the hectic workload. The disabled toilet doubled up as a Baby Change room, and it was a nice touch to provide a nappy bag, and Huggies baby wipes too with the change table. There is a 2hr free parking along Ardross St, but it could be quite hard to find during peak hours. Overall a wonderful enough first impression for us to plan our next visit to sample their hospitality for brunch or dinner

Taste was amaizng !!! We had a crab dish, big brekkie, burger, mac and cheese with poached egg. The food was amazing but it took a while to place an order, because the staff was very busy. And one thing that I feel miss is all of dish was quite small portion compare with price. Average cost per dish is $25 but never feel a full. Otherwise taste was fabulous.

Had a lovely lunch at Nic and Kolo again today, I had the chicken parmi bao buns which were delicious and had just enough jalapenos to provide some heat without overpowering the buns. The service this time was not as polished as usual, we had to ask for more water 3 times, and the shared salad came out without utensils to serve it with. They finally brought out a fork and spoon but only after asking twice. The coffee was only lukewarm (I forgot to ask for extra hot), but I feel that a coffee should be at least hot and not served lukewarm. It could have been an off day with new inexperienced staff, but the food is too good to make an issue of the negatives experienced today.

Nice wine and great food. Its a bit of a strange place, lacks some ambiance, with one super large table to close to smaller tables, it was just a bit noisy. However I have no complaints about the meals we had.

There was three of us and the guy showed us a table with two chairs outside, under the sun (we did ask for outdoor sitting but didn't mean to sit where the sun rays shine directly into your eyes which makes it uncomfortable) and said he'll bring one didn't expect to be waiting so long for a chair. We ordered coffee first then food but coffee took ages to come and would say coffee isn't the best, even with soy milk. Despite that I would give 4/5 for food. Portion was just perfect and tastes really good and fresh. It is a lil overated with the pricing but otherwise,it leaves you wanting to eat more. The lady staff was really friendly and made sure we had a good experience.

It's a good place to eat the only thing is service was a little slow but when ordered the meals came out really quickly. Plus when went to go and pay took about 5mins for someone to serve us. So I would maybe go up to about 3 1/2 stars.

Came back for coffee, we watched the barista get distracted and burn the milk then serve it to us (it was literally burning hot and tasted horrible). The waitress asked us if we wanted to "add some cold milk", we had to laugh and ask specifically for a replacement. Replacement coffee was good. Batista's face looked displeased with the exchange. Overall there is a potential for good coffee here, don't be afraid to get a replacement if it comes out burnt the first time. -- Great coffee! Son in Law eggs were also delicious, it came with 2x whole soft shell crabs and delicious sauce. Wouldn't recommend the barramundi wings, the serving was generously large but my friend spent the entire meal spitting out fish scales that hadn't been cleaned off properly. Unlike the soft shell crab, all the sauce was served on the side so it apparently wasn't particularly tasty.

Came here one Saturday and the staff were amazing to accomodate seating. I ordered the pork belly dish which was apparently new. The amount of flavour in the pork belly was amazing! A great local cafe that's family and group-friendly (we had two tables that included 16 people and 2 high chairs). I can't count the number of times I've been there! The buttermilk pancakes with bacon and honeycomb is always reliably delicious and they allow split billing which is not common in Perth.

Mac and cheese Benedict for me (Anya ended up having almost half of it because it was so good) and cinnamon scroll pancakes for her (which I are half of because it was that good!!). Drove her from Wembley for her birthday, would do so again in a heartbeat!! Hands down the best pancakes we've had in Perth. Only fault was the coffees weren't as fancy as it looked when we came in (I can see the barista is a gun and knows what he's doing), but I'm putting that down to the peleton of sweaty cyclists that likely tied the barista up for a good 20minutes.

I love that they don’t stuff in as many people as possible like many other local cafes so if you are having breakfast or lunch you can speak to your company > Food is simple but delicious. Everything is pretty safe on the menu. I’ve never had a bad meal here > Service is friendly and fast Give it a Miss > No major issues. Some of the circular tables are a little small. Other than that. My partner had a table booked, when we got there it seemed they had not reserved one as we had to wait while they cleared one for us. They wiped it down but it was extremely wet as we sat down, we weren't escorted to the table, rather the waitress just pointed from across the room several metres away to where our table was in the corner which was wet and not set up even with menus. While it wasn't the greatest start, we were impressed with the espresso martinis and the food was of good quality with generous portions. We were keen to order more drinks and possibly desserts after our meal but firstly no one asked us during the meal if we wanted more to drink or how the food was nor did anyone attend to us for over 20 minutes after we had finished eating. We sat with many empty plates (we shared a few items) in front of us as the staff cleared empty tables right beside us and not bothering to check if we needed anything further. We would have gladly ordered more but decided to leave as the restaurant emptied out yet we still were not seen to. Also a waitress was seen wearing a big floppy tracksuit jumper, which I found to be quite unprofessional as she was serving food to other guests. The only saving grace of this place is the kitchen....most likely won't be back, it was only just worth it with a 25% off voucher. Expected more from a place in such nice area. *We had the parmi bao, salt and pepper squid, arancini and house salad. All very yummy.

Meals came out on time and were reasonably priced (we ate from the lunch menu which ranges from about $20 a meal to $30 depending on what you go for). I went with the 3x pork bao style buns which was around $20 from memory. Some pretty nice tasty zingy flavours in there. Look forward to coming back again one day

The food is delicious, I had the pan fried dumplings and my partner had the miso salmon - both full of flavour and some of the best food I have eaten. The staff were so incredibly helpful and nice. Can't recommend this place more! Honestly the best cafe in Perth. Every time I have been there I have experienced great, friendly service and delicious dishes. The Miso salmon and Mac and cheese eggs Benedict are my favourite dishes but I'm also excited to try their cinnamon scroll pancakes, as i've heard good things! Coffee is great also! So they tick all the boxes!! Definitely try this place if you haven't!

It seems rare these days to find breakfast places that can get things right (since when did the expected become the exceptional?). So when it comes along like it did at Nic and Kolo, I had to share it here. This morning we had booked for a table of seven and from the moment we were greeted at the door by a staff member to confirm our booking, had a fantastic experience. The place was clean and cool inside, we weren't sitting on top of tables next to us and noise levels were perfect so I could hear everyone at my table. The drinks (iced lattes, cappuccinos, iced mochas and juice) were great as was the food (Big Ben Brunch, Andy's Hot Cake, Benedict Brekkie Burger) which all came out at the same time and immaculately presented. We had asked for a Cinnamon Scroll Pancake to come out after we had finished our food. I was expecting this to be forgotten about, but upon finishing was blown away when we had a staff member approach us to confirm the pancakes - just as we had asked. This was the moment I knew I had to write a review. Nothing but high praise for the place - a perfect example of how to run an eatery. Can't wait to come again and share with my friends. Thanks.

They know how to make a cappuccino! I hope our cycling group returns and makes this a regular place. I'll be pushing them here. Being Italian, I've struggled to find a place that can make a cappuccino. It's even a greater struggle to ask for a macchiato (or an espresso macchiato here). They also use my favourite extra creamy milk!

Great food and service was good. I ordered the tacos and they were nice. Good portion size too! My friend ordered the Mac and cheese breakfast plate and looked amazing and she loved it. Ordered a merry berry smoothie which was okay (not worth the price it charged). Layout needs changing as a bit disoriented and just confused whom to approach for a table.

Also can’t forget the lamb rib starters, pretty good too. Apparently it’s a new menu according to their website so maybe just need some time for feedback. Wouldn’t mind going back for their brunches or even another chance at the dinner menu.

Awesome place to relax an have a light brunch or more substantial breakfast. Visited for breakfast and dinner. Both were very good. Would recommend the son in law eggs with tempura soft shell crab, mac and cheese benidict for breakfast and wensday steak special for dinner on wensdays. $26.50 w a drink beer or house wine.
