This place usually is amazing, great vibe, delicious food but during our little visit this week everything seemed to went wrong. The beer was warm( not their fault it was really hot that day) but then they took wrong order and at last when bbq pizza was served it was not cooked properly. Did not wanted to create a scene for everything we just had food and left. Make sure you guys double check your orders when venue is busy.

food was good and im not bothered by the price, it be like that but the service really bothered me. i don't mind ordering online but it was quite hard getting the attention of the workers so i had to wait till they gave me things i ordered to ask for things like cutlery. they were also very unapproachable, every time I asked for things like a fork and more water, I didn't ask it in a tone that was mean, I'm always trying to be n ice but their response was usually quite passive aggressive, they wouldn't reply and would just get the thing I was asking for and return with it, It made me feel like I was being a burden to them which made my anxiety act up in the restaurant.

Then I remembered the Moon Cafe, I've been coming now for four weeks so far and am loving it... The food here is delish.. The wait staff are awesome and the clientele are friendly..

I have frequented this place for years now. The atmosphere is fantastic for late night catchup that is low key. Drinks are unique and the selection is great. The food was good every time I have visited.

I've been going to The Moon since I was about 15 years old (back in 2005) and although it has changed somewhat, it it still one of my favourite spots. The food is served in pretty big portions, the drinks are great, but mostly I just love it because the staff are lovely, and it's a great cosy corner to spend your time in.

Absolutely the best place in Perth. For one, there aren't many places open so late in this town, so this was refreshing. Secondly, it is so laid back with incredibly retro décor, fantastic comfort food, old school board games and hilarious servers. We had a fabulous time here. The nacho chip mountain was humongous, delicious, and 3 of us were very full from it.

I've been going to The Moon since I was about 15 years old (back in 2005) and although it has changed somewhat, it it still one of my favourite spots. The food is served in pretty big portions, the drinks are great, but mostly I just love it because the staff are lovely, and it's a great cosy corner to spend your time in.

This retro funk-cave is delightful. The service was, at first, a little slow - but, our waitress reminded us to be bold and just put hand up to get her attention. I feel awkwardly rude doing this, but she said it was fine. If you're looking for a 70's quirkiness, don't look past The Moon. The menus are recycled (obscure) vinyl album covers. My friend and I stopped here for dinner, enjoying a pizza and some cocktails. After around 8pm we enjoyed some live music, a solo singer with acoustic guitar sang some original songs, and it was a lovely ambience. Looking forward to returning to sample some more of the menu. Make sure you explore all the way through to the seating at the back of the venue. It's super cozy.

This place is a fantastic. Some of the friendliest staff that I've been served by in recent times. Drinks and mudcake in the late hours of the night in the chill atmosphere just feels right . Their portion sizing on the fries is humongous however , so if you're ordering them make sure you have the numbers to handle it. Highly recommend.

I've been here a few times recently and it's been great every time. The venue has a really great vibe to it with some great decor, the staff are friendly and they have a good selection of drinks. I particularly like the cider they have on tap. Food has also been consistently good, and I highly recommend both the vego and con carne nachos. I recall coming here years ago and the service not being that good but that is definitely not the case now. We will definitely be back.

The atmosphere of this place was very unique and fun. They also serve till late hours which is a bonus if you are out for the night in the area. But their food just overall wasn't very good. We did not think it bad but it was not enjoyable at all. I would stop here again for a drink or for a late night meal when other options are limited.

Table service from the lovely staff will mean the only trouble you'll have; is having to make a decision on all the amazing food and drinks on offer! This is a regular dinner spot for my friends and I because it's just so good. The food is always delicious and the menu has plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. There is a massive variety of drinks, it's always a challenge trying to pick what to have. Both food and drink menus have some unique options that I rarely come across anywhere else in Perth. I already can't wait for my next visit!

Nice American style diner with big meals and interesting drink options. In case you are wondering the flavoured cokes are made with syrups, so be careful if you are watching your sugar intake. The service was very good.

We live rurally and were heading to Perth to see a show at a nearby venue so called The Moon Cafe to make a reservation a few days prior so we could grab a meal and catch up with family. Very friendly helpful person, Georgia, assisted not only with the booking but advised re parking too. We experienced attentive table service throughout and enjoyed some yummy fresh vegan food! Fun atmosphere for a variety of gatherings. Various seating arrangements throughout.Funky (cool) decor and staff. Thanks for a good start to our evening!

Really good menu. I found the staff to be very friendly. Make sure to double check the menu in line as it had more cocktail options online. I recommend The Smurf. Very nice. The serving sizes are also massive. I got the chilli con carne nachos, could have fed two people easily. Restaurant also provides take away boxes for left overs.

What an amazing old Perth building! So historic and colonial. All fixed up and comfortable for poetry and music. Great choice of booze and pub style food. Perth Poetry Club performs every Saturday 2pm-4pm. Open mike if you want to contribute.

Food is always good. Been multiple times but late night on Sunday the 24th of Jan the service was really terrible. I took first timers there and I had to strongly convince them to stay because of how they were treated on arrival. We didn't show signs of intoxication, nothing. Just someone having a bad night? Lol

Polite, helpful staff. Excellent food quality, especially texture in the pasta. The tomato flavor on the pizza was bold and delicious. The prices on food this quality is unbelievably low, especially Mondays. Great atmosphere and feel, loved looking around at the place while waiting for the food. There was an issue with the pizza oven, so we were offered a side on the house while we waited for our pizza to cook - truly above and beyond service. The pasta came out very fast which seems indicative of their usual wait time. Will definitely be back to try some more.

This is one of my all time favoutire joints. Their cocktail list is amazing, all of their food is well prepared and incredible. I love their vegan and vegetarian options, I've probably tried them all and can without a doubt say that they are were all amazing. The staff here is so lovely and there's is such anamazig ambience here all the time. Love, love, love this place.

This place is still awesome after all these years. Took my mother there she's almost 80 didn't think she'd like it but she was impressed. We both had the comfort chicken with spinach and pasta. Fantastic meal. Unfortunately they don't serve Crown Lager that was my only gripe.

The Moon is the perfect venue for anyone looking for a chill night out for that feel good on a Sunday. The front part of the venue has got seating and serves food, right next to the bar. The back room when you go further is like a second venue within a venue. This is where most of the fun crowd is. You order food and drinks from.the same bar as the latter and you get to enjoy a night with some Hip-Hop artists as various acts take the stage to showcase their freestyle skills! This part of the night goes on until 9:30 PM so you have to be early to get the best of it! The food and drinks are served in time, despite them being a busy place. The good customer service is the additional added flavor that adds a good taste to the night. The only issue here is parking can be a pain in.tge butt sometimes. It's in a busy part of the city so it's expected. Thanks for a great experience 😊

Food was average, came in really excited to try the vegan options however was quite disappointed. I ordered the vegan brunch and it was very small serving for $16, the flavours were great which I really enjoyed but just not enough of the sweet potato, mushroom and tomatoes, there was way too much sprouts I felt like I was just eating grass - a small handful would’ve been enough. If the title is called vegan “brunch” it should be a big and hearty meal - unfortunately I left still feeling a bit hungry. My friend got the jackfruit burger and her burger buns were burnt too (were quite black). However the customer service was great - the service was lovely and friendly!

I absolutely LOVE the vibe of this place - the chairs, the inside/outside contrast, the staff, the acoustic musicians and the overall feel. The cocktail shakers are also delicious. The only issue I have with this place is the food - it's just not amazing. The chips are great but everything else I've had has been wildly disappointing - pizza, pasta and burgers have all been a bit bland or dry. I will still continue to come back here for a few drinks but I would love to see some changes to the menu to justify making this place a common spot for having a meal out.

This is a great place to visit at any time of the night. I've had friends that have raved about it for years, but it wasn't till i went that I realized it really is a very cool little place. It's a little quirky and weird but the staff are nice and efficient and you can get bowls of chips and wedges mixed together... need I say more? The menu has an american feel to it and the burgers I've had have been incredibly tasty. Also stole some of my mate's pizza and that was awesome, but stolen food always tastes better...right?

After numerous negative experiences with The Moon in the past few years, I decided to return with friends and give it a chance. The same classic, almost retro vibe was there and the place seemed pretty clean. We were greeted to be seated pretty quickly, although if you have coming with more than 6 people I highly suggest making a booking. Some of the staff are the friendliest people you will meet, whilst others were apathetic and didn't seem to care much for the customers or their position. They didn't take long to take our order and our food came out pretty quickly (we dined around 7:30PM), although the meals came out somewhat disjointed. All-round the food was pretty good, there were no complaints from anyone. The servings were large and pretty good value for money. I ordered a Italian Sausage Pizza, and I have to note: almost all their meats are free range (including the sausage) which was a really nice additional bonus. The salads were pretty lettuce-y, probably something to be cautious of. My friends all regretted ordering cocktails, with one commenting hers tasted like cough syrup. Probably not known exclusively for it's cocktails, however, I have heard other negative reviews. The toilets were in pretty good condition, which was nice comparing to my last visit. Overall, I enjoyed my dining experience at The Moon Cafe. In my opinion, it is nothing to hang on the edge of your seat for, however if you are around in Northbridge at that hour or are looking for a late night-feed The Moon seems like a reasonable place to go.

My friend and I came in around 10:30PM, even though it was late they were quite busy, so it took a while for us to be seated - but we didn’t mind waiting. After asking if we could sit in a booth (since the table we were at was a bit uncomfortable for us) the waitress was very accommodating, despite being so busy, and I really appreciated that we got to sit in the retro booths. Despite how busy the restaurant was, we got good service - though waits were long in between we didn’t mind, we understand how difficult dinner rushes are. We shared a burger, sour cream and bacon fries and a milkshake between us. The burger was the best. I’d love to go back and try the infamous chocolate mud cake.

Best Nachos in Perth (just order the vegetarian for every possible vegetable you could ever want drenched in an amazing salsa sauce and cheese with sour cream). Nice big portion too. Arguably one of the best burgers in perth too (the moon burger is a serious winner). Staff are generally very friendly and sociable, and the BEST PART is that they are open till past midnight, which is a rarity in Perth.

My go-to place for easy eats +chill outings. Most staff are amazingly friendly +bubbly (though occasionally you get some too-cool, flaky servers). The calamari is always on point, the mushroom pizza (+pumpkin) is fantastic +the dessert pizzas just have no words to describe! Love the eclectic music they book, great decor creates an awesome vibe. I just wish the cocktails weren't so expensive as they are seriously yummy +I'd drink way more if my wallet would allow me!! ^_^*

Classic Perth nightspot. One of those rare places that has a good atmosphere and is open late but isn't completely rammed and you can have a conversation. Jazz nights. Go for jazz nights. Food here always seems to satisfy a specific craving of mine. It's never too fancy and delivers on flavour and quantity. Good honest food if I were to sum it up. Opens late. Always some interesting live music. And a gin selection to envy. Craft beers on tap. Wines to at least pacify most snobs (nothing for them to sing about though) and a really chilled atmosphere.

Although the menu has changed since I started going to suit a more hipster vibe, it still has great service, great pricing and some of the best food around. Been here a couple of times. Portion of food is huge. Like humongous. So if you're a small eater I would suggest sharing a plate for two. My usual order is usually bacon chips with cheese and I also really love their pastas. They have live performance every now and then but seatings are a bit awkward at the back of the restaurant because the couch is really old, they stoop too low. Some staff can improve in service as I had to order at the counter even though she was supposed to take orders at the table and got annoyed when I went to the counter but she wasn't even paying attention when I was calling her at the table. The guy staff is great.

Found a table sat waited for service out back then a booth became free so we grabbed it. One ordered a chicken pizza very good and tasty. The ragu pasta was to die for only suggestion would be to change the style of pasta it is presented with to a fettuccine or pappardelle. Loved the retro hip decor, the arcade machine, the quirky staff, the booth seats, the abundance of couches, the chill late night feels, the fascinating lemon tea drink, the humongous nachos pile, the board games. Everything was just so awesome that I could come here every day. Really appreciate it that they open till 1 or 2am for a city that sleeps so early. Make sure you come here!

A life saver. There is always the moon. For the longest time it was either chinatown or the moon for a meal after 9:30pm in northbridge. They have fed many many a comedian and actor after finishing shows wity nowhere else to go. So appart from their historic place in the perth cultural scene, they are cheap, big meals that are pretty good. Good vege options certainly in recent times and the staff are always almost too friendly.
