A beautiful afternoon evening spot that you simply must visit. Stunning river views, a delightful menu filled with enjoyment and friendly quirky staff. Nice wine selection and decadent sweets to finish the experience. I personally recommend the seafood platter or the garlic seafood mornay. You can't go wrong

A lovely location, good menu. I stopped in for a ‘quick’ takeaway lunch, ordered a burger eventually & then I waited a good 30 minutes Once I got the food it was of great quality & flavour. It seams as though the team had no system or flow as they were all running around looking busy but nothing was getting done there was no one at the counter & only a few eat-in customers. I’d love to go back & eat in to see if it is a better experience as I believe they are worth the extra star but for takeaway it was not a good experience

Great seafood lunch overlooking Coffs marina. Great wine selection as well. This is the place for a special occasion but the restaurant above the yacht club was also great seafood at a lesser cost but also a great outlook but it isn't open as regularly

Food was nice, except I asked for a my steak med to well done and got a steak that was chewy and bloody, got a sorry from waitress which wasn't her fault as she didn't try to cook it, I would have thought maybe they would offer a voucher for next time for a steak or at least a discount for the under cooked steak , but got a no. Very disappointing on your birthday lunch.

A hidden jewel, a secret sanctuary just off the M1 motorway. Great food on and over the river, fabulous friendly service. If you didn't have this place brought to your attention, you are driving by missing out on this experience. You need to come off the M1 a little to head to Urunga going to or from Coffs Harbour. It is a short trip from Coffs if you happen to be staying in Coffs. Away from the maddening crowds, right next to the railway which will thrill the kids when suddenly a train jumps out from the bush on the bridge a small distance away above you, the perfect distance to take it all in. A good quality Soy milk, if that is a priority for you, and what a selection of cakes and treats in the display cabinet ! So make a plan when you are in area to head this way, so easy to navigate with a boat or van in tow, an easy loop to get in and out.

A stunninly beautiful place. I called in just after two and they very kindly accommodated me, cooked some chips even though the kitchen was closed and brought them out so I could stay with the dog at the side. Called and placed an order over the phone at 12:37 was told 15mins, drove up from work and arrived at 12:50 intending to wait. My fish and chips was ready and it was MASSIVE! Asked for extra lemon and they gave me like 6 pieces. Shared the fish and chips with three mates and we all have full bellies after. Great value tasted fresh and fast service. Enjoyable as always. Good food and pleasant staff. All eleven of us (2 tables because of social distancing rules) enjoyed our time , relaxing, chatting, dining and having a drink with our meal. Highly recommend Anchors Wharf. Amazing position right on the river. Had a relaxing Sunday lunch to celebrate our anniversary. The best Garlic prawns made using real garlic and had slices of fresh chilli which really made the dish. Very friendly staff who come across as they enjoy their job and nothing was too much trouble. Would have given a higher rating if we were able to have oysters. They had run out, was disappointing as I specifically asked for oysters when making our reservation the previous night.

Could not fault this place! The service was friendly and fast, we had a large group including some kids. Everyone was served quickly but no one felt rushed. I noticed the kids meals came out first which I thought was a great touch. The food was excellent, large portions and very tasty. The prices were on the high side but overall very good value considering the level of service and the food. A great night out, will definitely be coming back here.

The seafood linguini was over cooked and the sauce drown the meal. Thank goodness the seafood in the meal wasnt over cooked. $42 is over priced with no wow factor. The natural oysters were below average, with shell bites in it. The coffee was below average. The size of the cheese burger on the kids meal isn't for a 5 year. My son couldnt open his mouth to take a bite...it's a great deal though for older kids. The chips were nice. The staff were friendly. The decor and cutlery were of picnic standard for the price of the meal. I wouldn't recommend it to my friends.

Greatest Surf n Turf I have ever eaten. Quality and quanty of mussels, scallops, prawns, barramundi and Balmain bugs were perfect. Nicest cut of steak ive ever seen, cooked to perfection. Reviews read quite well but we weren't that impressed with this place. We went for breakfast one morning and apart from a warm welcome from one of the waitresses, everything else went downhill. The food was terrible and the coffee and tea ordinary. Nice outlook across the river but honestly would not return for the food.

I was very disappointed with the amount of food I was served and the price I was charged. I ordered the brains.done in sesame seeds as a main and all I received was 2 small brains and a sprinkle of salad. My partner had a full lobster Mornay with mussels, prawns etc and the lot fitted on a normal size dinner plate the cost was $76.00. Sorry we will not be back.

Kids dinners were reasonably priced. We got the seafood platter for 2. So.... it's pretty big. The oysters were beautiful and fresh and the fried seafood was lovely also. The garlic seafood chowder was a highlight. Unfortunately for me the rest of the seafood wasn't so good. The prawns were ok, a little tasteless. Then the Balmain bugs😐 dry and tasteless. Then the crab 😣 tasted wrong. Couldnt eat it. Smelt wrong. Once our plates were taken we waited maybe 30 minutes... we wanted dessert and warm beverage. No one came to take our order so we decided to pay and leave. The table beside us were asked if they wanted dessert, so maybe they just forgot. The atmosphere is a little lacklustre. I noticed they had a battery drill charger charging in the book shelf in the area where people sit around to eat. Weird set up. Could be so much trendier. I wouldn't rush back here. The staff were lovely.

We have enjoyed many family breakfasts at Anchor's Wharf but this time we decided to hire the BBQ Boat. We got off to a shakey start when the Wharf was closed for repairs and we should have realized there was a total fire ban so NO BBQing (our mistake) BUT... Paul and Anchor's Wharf helped us out by cooking our meat (delicious) and we boarded a short distance along the river. We had a really good time (5 adults and 3 children) cruising along the beautiful river and stopping to fish.) Our slight inconvenience to begin our day was generously compensated for with the offer of extra time and our poor judgement made us arrive back late. Perhaps it was the comfort of the vessel that made us linger longer. Would recommend this outing for a very relaxed couple of hours. Thank-you Paul for your understanding and for the wonderful time we had. We will be back!!!

Mostly the food, coffee and service at Anchors Wharf are really good. The location under the bridge over the Bellinger River is sensational. There are always schools of large Bream to feed off the jetty and the views of the river and mountains exceptional. They do a great menu, dinner menu being the best and have won some Tourism awards as Best Family Restaurant. Will be going back there this week when I visit Urunga again.
