Barmuda is a perfect little place for breakfast. Plenty of seating, inside and out. Sit in the warm sun while enjoying a coffee and breakfast made with love. The food tastes as amazing as it looks and you are guaranteed service with a smile 🙂 5 Stars! 🌟

Unfortunately I can’t recommend this place anymore since the business has changed hands and the quality has dropped. They removed the best things on the menu (grilled asparagus, potato stack, steak sandwich) and replaced it with things like a mushroom “sandwich” that literally has Kraft Singles cheese on it and is drenched in honey (???) - one of the worst meals I’ve ever had out at cafe. Hope to return in the future if things improve.

We only stumbled upon Barmuda whilst looking for another venue for weekend brunch, and thoroughly glad we did. Very efficient, friendly service, varied menu, and excellent food. I came to this place wanting to confirm the myth and legend of a mocha perfectly balanced with chocolate and coffee. So much so, that the flavours don’t overpower each other and each sip is decadence mixed with the right amount of sin. This mocha is exactly that. Combined with a delightful French toast served with a side of fried banana and maple syrup. The other meal was my partners vegetarian Eggs Benedict. The sauce wasn’t too heavy and the eggs poached just right! I can’t wait to come here again

My favorite place to go when I’m visiting Sydney! Grilled asparagus (w/ poached eggs, roasted tomatoes, rocket and hollandaise in grilled sourdough) with a side of potatoes is my go to, but the French toast with honeycomb butter is also amazing. If you like chocolate, don’t miss the mocha!

After a few disappointing brunches recently (getting hard boiled eggs instead of poached) it was a relief to get back to Barmuda. The food is consistently excellent here. Not a big menu but everything cooked pefectly. This time I tried the potato stack which was superb. And yes, thy can poach eggs here. Also great drinks and quick service.

Great little hipster style cafe. Just stopped in as saw another customer sipping a frappe on the street and could resist on a hot day like this. Staff were super friendly and when I asked if I could get a ham and cheese croissant that wasn’t available on the menu they were happy to accommodate and asked the kitchen to make it up (and a decent price too!) Left with a tasty long black. Would recommend coming here! Props to the friendly guy taking orders.

Love this place. The vibe is extra relaxed, inviting and the staff are efficient but welcoming. Plenty of room with more tables upstairs. The meals are massive and well priced for the amount you get. This place is very lovely. The staff have always been friendly and accommodating. They smile and have light conversation. The food is also quite good my only recent discovery was the breakfast wrap which I wouldn’t recommend. It was runny and very wet the wrap itself and the jalapeños shouldn’t have been added since they just tasted like coming from a jar. Otherwise I’ve had most other things in the menu and its all excellent food

The waitress took our coffee order, wrote nothing down, came back 10 minutes later and asked for our orders again. Then 3 out of 4 coffees came and we had to remind her again. The eggs were delicious. They forgot my avocado side, and when I asked they brought out what looked like a third of a smooshed greying avocado. The waitress also put pepper in my coffee. We also couldn’t hear them when they spoke to us, it was really weird.

Hidden gem. Came across this café yesterday. Great atmosphere. Loved the coffee which I had with a steak sandwich that was perfectly cooked and really delicious. Barmuda definitely wins the best mocha in Sydney (mainly because of the amount of Belgium chocolate they smear around the glass). Food is great too. Only issue I has is a big one for me. I love coffee but cannot drink caffeine as I'm sensitive to it. I've asked for decaf there, been charged the extra for it and they just give me caffeinated coffee. Shame really as I don't think some people realise how much caffeine can affect people.

Barmuda Cafe, headed by Barista Nick and joined by many, in the highly organised team, give to an atmosphere of French haute bohème warmth, were the local Literati and coffee lovers find inspiration. Even when the cafe is full, the service is exceptional, fast and personalised. The food and coffee is well worth a visit. In my international travels, this gem ranks highly and has become a daily joy for me whilst in Sydney, and by the looks of the popularity of the cafe, I'm not the only person having discovered the golden triangle of Barmuda, Great Coffee, warm inviting atmosphere, and exceptional service.
