Lovely place! As soon as you come in, you feel welcome! The staff is so friendly and helpful! Cool environment too. And here I had the best sandwich of my life: House Smoke! And I couldn’t believe how reasonable the price was! We also had the pumpkin salad with salmon, and totally recommend it! For dessert we ordered the fluff pancake! The pancake was a lot of fun: full of colours and flavours! I simply loved everything about this place. And super easy to getting there: 5min walking from Central Station. No excuses!

Great find! I searched Google for a nice place to go for breakfast. So impressed! My eggs with avo and hommous was amazing! The hommous was perfectly seasoned and the eggs were perfect. The coffee was great too! Service was friendly. Can’t really fault it!

Breakfast 29/11 I have to give it a 5 as I can’t remember exactly the details I was very hungover from a Sydney getaway but it was a really great little set up in a good posie. I don’t remember the exact dish names but I believe it was “Pesto scrambled eggs with mushrooms” and “the big breakfast”

Friendly, fast service. Food tasted good, and the poached eggs in particular were done really well. The hollandaise sauce was a bit rich for me but I really enjoyed the broccolini and caviar texture and taste which I've not tried before in this way.

We were struggling for options for breakfast and came across for this gem. A vibrant place in the heart of Sydney with a friendly atmosphere. The menu has taste buds to suit all, in particular plenty of healthy options. Portions are great value and the staff can always recommend an option if your too spoilt for choice. Highly recommend for a catch up coffee with a friend or a hearty breakfast. The full breakfast was a win!!

Absolutely delicious! Not only an Instagram worthy meal but we left full as could be. So much choice but we choice the ultimate sharer breakfast. Between 2 of us we just finished this but easily could've had enough for a 3rd person and we would still be full. Good choice of drinks too, would definitely recommend here for breakfast. Booking is probably advised as we got lucky just turning up and finding a small table for 2.

We visited the Surry Hills location of Basket and we were happy to see this open on Easter Sun. A cafe selling all day breakfast / brunch and lunch options and with so many options, it was not easy to decide. Whether it’s banana bread, ago and toast, granola or bacon and egg rolls, there’s something to please everyone. The staff and atmosphere was welcoming and service was fast. We ordered the vegetarian platter - good value for money as it is huge! It came with truffles mushrooms, avocado, eggs and toast, tomatoes and haloumi. Very enjoyable. We also got the Benedict with ham. You can get bacon or salmon if you prefer. Quite a lot of sauce atop eggs and spinach. They make a good coffee, using Pablo and Rusty’s and we had 2 chais which we enjoyed! The smoked brisket hash looks delicious too, and they also have a hearty lunch menu.

A cozy Surry Hills Cafe specialising comfort breakfast and hearty lunch. Service is friendly and down to earth. The dishes are delicious and fresh ingredients are used. A perfect morning coffee stop for tourists and locals. ☕️ The new winter menu will be out soon. I tried one of the new dishes - a vibrant Shakshuka with chorizo - what a warming stew loaded with veggie goodness + 2 poached eggs!

went for brunch on public holiday, slightly worried when I saw the negative review online. Ordered the omelette and pumpkin salad with grilled chicken. The healthy options we went for. The omelette is not flavoured - very little salt/no salt, but the cheese inside is quite tasty. Nothing really fancy about the omelette. The salad is alright, it’s a lemon/citrus tasting dressing. The portion is quite big.

Great corner cafe stop with freshly cooked options and excellent coffee. Staff are friendly and service was very quick on a weekday at midday. The only downside for me was that it was a bit too noisy inside with music and kitchen activity combined with the concrete interior. Otherwise recommended cafe in the area.

Locate just a few minutes walk from Central station. Great coffee, fantastic service and always get a burger. If you’re coming around lunch time, get in early or be prepared to wait a little bit but the wait is always worth it. The burgers come with a generous amount of chips and the coffee sizes are great.

Delicious!!! Stopped in for a weekday late breakfast and the place was packed! Tables quickly turned over, but never too long of a wait as people popped in. Our food and drinks came out very quickly, and were super delicious! Impressive as we had a view into the kitchen and it seemed like a smaller kitchen/crew - so impressive what they turn out! I had the corned beef hash - a little different than the version I get in America, but SO delicious! My husband had the omelette, not quite as big of a portion, but equally delicious.

On our second day in Sydney we stumbled upon this lovely cafe. Although the size of the venue is not huge, basket brother overcompensates it with the taste and size of its plates. I tried the Full Basket and not only was delicious but also satisfying. A must try if you are in the neighborhood.

The staff were really friendly and the bacon and egg roll I had on my last visit was awesome. But this time we had the omelette and the beef brisket and both were very average. The omelette was under seasoned and bland whilst the brisket dish was literally just some brisket, 2 supermarket hash browns and a pile of coleslaw plus 2 slices of dry toast. This isn't really a dish more a collection of different basic elements. Wouldn't return based on the food being average but it's a good enough spot for a quick coffee.

This place is always busy in the morning until 1! Breakfast menu is your usual big breakfast or yoghurt and others, coffee and all. However what's special is their $29 per person menu (min 2 pax) where it's the "everything" which comes on a double decker platter ! From what I heard from the servers, the are usually too much for anyone to finish but I am excited to try this out next time ! Recommended place for breakfast or brunch

The experience that I had at Basket Brothers (Surry Hills) was absolutely amazing. From food and delicious coffee, to the lovely lady who looked after us called Meg. She is a real sweetheart. I am from hospitality background and studies and she is definitely having one of the best customer service I have seen in my life. Took a nice reel that I am looking forward to post on my social media.

Presentation: 10/10 Taste: 9.5/10 Price: 5.5/10 Volume: 9/10 Service: 9.5/10 Total: 43.5/50 (4.35 stars, rounded down to 4 stars) Needed somewhere to eat breakfast that had a high rating and wasn't too far from my hotel, and decided to try Basket Brothers. The store is conveniently located on a corner near Central Station and easily accessible from the train station and surrounding hotels. In fact, it was a 5 minute walk for me from my hotel on a busy morning where I had to check out and catch a flight back to Brisbane. Walk into the store and you are greeted by a friendly staff. We went for breakfast and ordered the french toast and the brisket hash. Both came out within reasonable speed and both tasted extremely well, not to mention the colourful presentation which is Instagram friendly. The dish is big enough to make you full. I ordered a cappuccino on the side and I couldn't complain about it. The only downside is the price; we paid $44.50 for breakfast (1 dish + 1 drink each). That's about the same price as lunch. Don't be put off by the negative reviews because everyone has different tastes. I would recommend this place.

Had the chance to re-visit this cafe with a friend and still delicious as ever. We had a selection of dishes including Smoked Brisket, Pumpkin Salad, and Fluffy Pancakes. All the dishes were nice and still loved the flavour of the brisket although this time round paired with some different ingredients, the flavour was wonderful. We also had a Chamomile Tea & Breakfast Kick Smoothie. Nice smoothie as full of the good stuff including banana, chia seeds, oats, yoghurt & honey. Service is nice and they use Pablo & Rusty’s coffee.

Basket Brothers is located in the heart of the CBD, walking distance from Central Station. The cafe is located on the corner Elizabeth Street and Wentworth Avenue, with plenty of light and space. The staff were friendly, and the service was fast. We ordered the Brother's Burger, the Grilled Chicken Burger and the Grilled Chicken Salad with some soft drinks on the side. The food was tasty, and the serving sizes were generous.
