Fantastic food! Delicious chips with great seasoning, yummy fish, salt and pepper squid and coronary-inducing burgers. Great setting up from the beach with lots of shade to sit under. Beware they close when overwhelmed with orders, even if it’s right on lunchtime. Best to get in early!

Delicious dinner, lunch menu looked awesome, didn't suit us for breakfast. Only had dinner here and was thoroughly impressed and happy we did. While waiting checking out the lunch menu we were keen to come back but ran out of time in the area. Breakfast menu looked fine but not what we were after. Great spot on the park near the beach. Super friendly and lovely staff.

Beaut spot on a lovely park with trees, benches and under cover. The ocean 50m away. Whiting with chips and Whiting with salad were both delicious, and generous serves too. Very good

Had lunch here. Gorgeous fish and chip couples basket. The kids actually liked the chicken nuggets( they’re not fans of takeaway nuggets normally) the beach is just across the grass and their is a great play area and public pool right next to the cafe too. Staff treated everyone warmly. Well done on COVID safe practices and great amenities for sanitation and distancing. You all worked super hard, but every meme we I saw was smiling. Brilliant and delicious! And I’m Actually impressed with the gorgeous fresh tomato topping on the aioli and the tornado prawn deep fried finger food was exceptional! Thanks to everyone for making us welcome and providing great service with even nicer fish and chips!

Really good food, the general menu is great and the specials are amazing! The burgers are imaginative, tasty and fresh. In holiday periods don't turn up last minute, they take wait time into account so they can close on time, so if its busy make sure you order around 1 to be safe as closing time is 2. The wait however is definitely worth it. Right on the beach with lots of seating. The only bummer is no coffee flavour syrups, but the actual coffee is great. Very selfie worthy wall inside too

What a place to visit, Blowfish Cafe, down by the beach in Old Bar. Very good customer service with a smile. Being a Queenslander, the coffee was very good, smooth. They offer a great choice menu, good portion sizes, exceptional value for money. The beach is very close and if your lucky, you just might see 4 water spouts in one day. 😀

Ye, yes and yes again Well priced proper American style burgers with no skimping. You’d pay over $80 in Sydney for our meal and we fed the family with drinks for less than $60. Old bar and Blowfish, see you next time!

There is no better place on the East Coast of Australia to buy and enjoy street food!!! The surrounds are grassed and plenty of seating, then one gets to look at the menu boards, low prices, wide choices. Make a selection and tell the welcoming staff your order, sit and wait to be amazed at the quality of the food . We have eaten at hundreds of coastal food outlets and none come near to the perfection of "Blowfish". If this place were a full blown cafe or restaurant it would be five star, the fact that it is a small outlet near a beach only serves to enhance the experience. We went because we had heard it was good, but could never have imagined just how good it could be. Even driving down the Pacific highway past the turn-off to Old Bar/Taree, if it's near to eating time or you simply want a break, turn off and take the 10 minute drive to experience one of the Mid-north-coasts great surprises.
