A rather busy spot as it’s the only cafe at Hyams Beach. The brioche French toast was tasty though it became soggy quite quickly.. the clotted cream in the top had a slightly sour taste which helped balance the sweetness of the French toast. The BLAT’s specialty was the maple syrup fried bacon, which gave the sandwich a different twist. The smashed avo and feta on sourdough was slightly smaller in size for its price.. wasn’t too impressed with the flavour profile but it was true to its description on the menu. The goose roll was essentially a glorified mcmuffin from maccas with an extra hash brown… very salty but satisfying. We got 2 fresh juices (which you can mix and match with the choices on the menu) which was delicious. Also got a iced chocolate and substituted the milk for oat milk without additional charges. Overall, I would come back to try other things on the menu, the vibes of the cafe was good and customer service was decent. Though they did charge us for something we didn’t order but refunded the money once we realized.

We visited mid week in school holidays but it wasn’t so busy and we were seated quickly. The cafe was moderately busy with dining in and take away options. We ordered a fish and chips to share and a fresh orange juice. The juice arrived so promptly - the meal arrived 40minutes later! It was delicious but it’s a long time to wait for a meal. If you aren’t in any hurry then visit and support a local business...x

The wait was a little long but they let you know beforehand and it seems to be the only place around. The food is on par with most of Sydney cafes but there’s A LOT on the menu. The coffee was delicious and as good as anywhere I’ve tried in Sydney

Best.fish.and.chips.ever!! You can actually see the fish fillet which was impressive and delicious. Batter was perfectly portioned with fish too. Chips were really well fried. Decent thickshake and baked goodies, we ordered a pear and raspberry slice and a choc torte (with a side of ice cream)! It gets busy, but it’s worth the wait. Highly recommend visiting this gem. Staff are friendly and service is fast! Pretty good on price too!

We were put on a waiting list because it was full, and staff, as promised, texted us to notify of availability while we waited in the car. Had a chicken salad, kids cheese burger and chicken burger which were all great and of generous portions. The coffee was great too.

Lovely cafe, food and friendly staff!! We had come down from Sydney to stay for a long weekend in Hyams and wanted to try this cafe. However, there were no opening hours on Google and it was showing that it was permanently closed. I then decided to private message on their Instagram page to find out as the phone number was ringing out. The owner had kindly replied the next day explaining they were in the middle of changing ownership and had provided me with opening times which I appreciated. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, I had the Hyams Special Burger, it was very delicious and so filling! However, my husbands pulled pork burger was quite dry. I still would recommend this place and will be coming back again to try the other options.

This is one of the only restaurants/Caffe in Hyams beach which acts also as a small grocery store. The Hyams special burger is good and the deli salad goes well with this. The special soup was too spicy, we are used to eating spicy foods however the soup was way over the top.

Price wise it was standard cafe prices and there was limited space to sit, however for sure a secluded little place there was no need for extra seating. This place is bright and close to the beach. The elevated section at the back of the café has glimpses of the water. That section is closed off a good hour before closing time, so if that’s where you want to sit come earlier. The main section of the café has two large tables and is not set up optimally imo. This café has been here for years though and seems to do a roaring trade. The prices are slightly elevated, but it doesn’t stop business here, which is thriving. We spilled a coffee and they replaced it for free, which was very generous. I love that they do refills on empty water bottles. Especially being close to the beach, with many customers coming in dehydrated, this is very considerate. They’re obviously not all about the money, otherwise they would look to sell as many bottles of water as possible. I love their support of #waronwaste

Honestly the food and drinks were definitely worthwhile would 100% recommend. I lovely spot and beautiful inside. Would recommend as a brunch place. Or grab a drink and walk on the beach (take your rubbish home). Staff were a little unwelcoming but likely having a bad day.

This cafe was quite nice, it's dog friendly too. I came here twice to order take away and dine-in, and was blown-away from the amazing quality of food. The reason why I didn't give 5 stars though was because the berry smoothie I got, did not have much of a berry flavor. It was rather just a nicely purple colored drink. Anyway, I would recommend this cafe for anyone in the area but please stick to the coffees or juices. (Any of the food is amazing though!)

Besides the location this place isn’t that great. First off they over charge for all of their food just because they’re the only cafe in the small area. Second is that the food just wasn’t the quality for the price. It did the job, but it didn’t leave a lasting impression. If you’re day tripping here it’d be cheaper to make sandwiches and bring them. The staff here are friendly and quick though.

This is the only cafe in the neighbourhood and they've always very busy. Yes, I would like to say that they should open earlier than 8am but considering how busy they get during the whole day I think 8am is fine. There is always a wait for takeaway and the coffee is quite good, a large cappuccino would cost you $5.

Very busy, popular place in summer as it is the only place for food and drink near Hyams Beach. Expect 20-30min wait for food during peak lunch but the burgers are a decent price $13 (burger+chips) and very well made.

We arrived at 3pm - and got told the kitchen was closed. It should change the time in the internet if the business hour is not till 4pm. I got told mango smoothy was not available as they ran out of mango. The lady who served me kept asking me to repeat myself because she couldn't hear me as the kitchen was loud with music. It's the only place selling food and drink on Hyams beach, I guess you don't have much choices.

We ordered fish and chips to share. It was the best fish and chips we had tried on this Jervis Bay trip. The service wasn't the best, the young man behind the desk didn't seem to want to be there. Couldn't even look you in the eye when ordering food, just looking around. Even when he brought our food over he didn't ask if we needed anything else. The setting is perfect and they handle a large flow pretty well. Breakfast is delicious. Great coffee - for soy drinkers they have Bonsoy! For lunch, the Lentil Burger was tasty but a little dry. The hot chips and fish were a winner with the kids and very shareable. We ordered takeaway and the sauce containers weren't terribly large - we'd prefer just to have a squirt in with the chips.

We attended the monthly set menu dinner and were all very impressed by the flavours. All 3 courses were enjoyed by the 6 of us with. Each of us found a delicious option for entree and desert. The beef and pork ribs were succulent with delicious sides.

This light and airy cafe is a very pleasant spot to eat. We opted to sit on the upper level by a window, but unfortunately the view of the ocean was blocked by the rental cottage in front of it. No matter, it's still a nice place to sit. Our cheeseburger was really tasty, and fish and chips were delicious. I notice this place gets some flack about their prices, but to us they didn't seem out of line with other restaurants in the area (although watch out for that Sunday surcharge). This is a great place to eat when doing the White Sands Walk.

Good gluten free options (as a coeliac), and the guy who took my order took me seriously and knew his stuff, he explained the bbq sauce was gluten free as it's homemade, he also checked about the hot chips and they explained they aren't GF, as they share the oil, so we agreed to leave chips off my order.. unfortunately they came out with my meal, which I obviously didn't eat, but a bit of a concern the message didn't make it to the chef/waiter. The waiter then told me the meal is GF, to which I informed her the chips aren't, and she didn't at first understand, so a little more education on where gluten turns up in food would be great. Overall though, the food tasted great, and service was really good otherwise though!

Good little cafe near the vicinity of some holiday homes on hyams beach. Although there are no beach views, the interior has many interesting things that can keep you busy for your visit. They offer to fill the water bottles as an alternative to selling plastic water bottle. The breakfast is simple but good. They also had some awesome photographs for sale, by a local award winning ocean photographer.

Had a delicious GF brunch on 24 August 2019 - the staff were friendly and helpful, and my upstairs table had a sea view across to HMAS Creswell. This cafe can accommodate quite a crowd in a variety of settings - the deck, the main floor and the upstairs mezzanine level. It's the only one in town but it's got everything covered, including take away!

A good modern Cafe, which also stocks a range of basics that holiday makers may need. It's a tough gig running a place like this - Hyams Beach is a very small community and I imagine there wouldn't be many customers outside of holidays. For this reason I understand why it's a touch expensive and they can get stretched when it's busy. However, the coffee and the range is very good.

Hyams is the only eatery in its half-way-closed-community. Simple and pleasant cafe/restaurant with current menu to cover broad tastes. Not fancy but considered. can get very busy at peak/weekend/holiday times. Hyams is world class beaches and 'Xee' RE. Cafe does not have a view to speak of but coffee, service & food is friendly.
