We have been to Fable quit a number of times during weekends for the last months. We love their food as they were simple, interesting, tasty and healthy, some more than the others. My favourite was the Tea Oven Roasted Duck Open Sandwich but the Pulled Lamb was too dry. The NZ King Smoked Salmon was great too so was the smoked trout. Their homemade yellow capsicum sauce is flavoursome and devine. However, now I have done several visits I wish there’s more options for the sauce. On all occasions I wish the herb garnish they used were more vibrant and healthy looking unfortunately they looked just slightly wilted and tired. Some vegetables could be looking quite dried too and I hope this would be improved upon as I would love to keep coming here. The coffee is pleasant but not quite to my taste. I prefer something with a little more depth, a deeper flavour and higher acidity.

Its a very nice place to hang out in the weekend. I study or work on my laptop here on Sunday. The owner is very friendly. You should try the chicken burger and beef dishes!

I ordered the Blessed Morning Bowl and and a banana / Blue Berry smoothie. We got seated outside which was perfect, so we could enjoy the vitamin D sunshine. I loved the quinoa dish, it was as very healthy and tasty. Very delicious 💕 I also loved the Smoothie, so refreshing. The customer service was excellent. They did check if we were happy and looked after us. This cafe is very small but the food and service was amazing so definitely worth visiting ❤️

Freshly roasted coffee, local organic eggs, filtered Moda water, milk from grass fed cows, and charming helpful service. Exceptionally high quality for unusually low prices. A definite score! FIVE STARS for sure!

From the outside Fable looks like a coffee shop that can only make simple eggs on toast type of breakfast. However, take one look at the menu, and you realise how complicated the dishes are — A place for a big breakfast with pleasing flavours. The Coffee was a dark roast with slight carbonated after taste. Also, the dessert was sweetened by the fruits 🍓, not overpowering surge (how it should be).

Fantastic friendly people. Although was charged $4.20 for large soy flat white one morning , later in arvo was charged for $4.70 ( i gather the 50c) surcharge was forgotten. Anyway friendly cosy atmosphere run by Asian Australians happy to support local. Although few customers seemed pretentious but thats a Sydney thing.

Fable is a little cafe with an open kitchen and giant window where you can happily look onto the world. The menu is varied with quality local produce, whose provenance is proudly listed on a board. The cold brew was exceptional, if not a tad expensive at $6. Service fast and friendly, a nice spot to linger with a book or laptop.

Not sure why so much fuss... they are clearly trying too hard to be trendy and classy but maybe will help if will remember to clean cobwebs on the ceilings and corners! Anyways, here to review the coffee in the handle less cup. I liked it as was well made and presented so yeah 4 stars.

Nice little inner city cafe. Situated in Darlinghurst near the hospital. Out of ten…. Staff - 9 Food - 8 Location - 7 Ambiance - 7 Coffee from San Pedro Roasters - 8 And yes, they have a toilet! :)

Seriously the best chai in Sydney. The folk who work there are great, friendly and considerate. After a couple of visits you get treated like a local regular and they get to know what you like. And the coffee ☕ s pretty damn good too. And they are serving an amazing Beef Pho special on the weekends!!

Coffee was really good. The batch brew was delicious - but we ordered off the weekend special menu & they were both terrible. The bruschetta was barely bruschetta, it was a bit of chopped up chorizo & halloumi with 2 poached eggs on one piece of toast with heaps of salad. The salad made the bread soggy. Little bit flavourless too. There was maybe one tiny bit of tomato on it. The pork & fennel sausage special, the sausage was fine but the eggs were flavourless & the bread was soggy from too much salad once again. Really wanted to like it but just unfortunately left with barely any eaten.

I love this cafe and it's Super friendly crew. I had the Morning Bowl which is a delicious combination of avo, quinoa, salad, strawberries, green beans and beetroot puree. It is filling and so very tasty. All accompanied with one of Tom's lovely lattes.

I just moved to the area and this place had captured my curiosity quickly. My friends and I decided to have a late breakky there last Saturday and we left absolute beaming! It was well priced, fantastic quality and the coffee was so good. The only downside is that it was closed this morning when i was desperate for a coffee!! Honestly. Would recommend. Try this place.

Wonderfully understated cafe. Fantastic coffee, which plays support for a creative and interesting menu. Nothing boring on the breakfast menu. The day I visited I enjoyed a special featuring cured trout and in-season figs. Relaxed atmosphere enhanced by laid back, friendly staff. Great little spot.

I absolutely love everything about this cafe. The food is delicious and creative (and affordable, not your average $20 avo on toast), the staff is lovely, the coffee is top notch. Try to sit outside and have a sip looking at the ivy wall across the road, you might transport your mind in Paris for a bit. Definitely my favorite as a local!

Fable is one of my favourite places for brunch in Sydney. The food is thoughtful and delicious, and I like how the chef always introduces innovative specials for the weekends. The produce is also one of the freshest I've come across in Sydney. Would highly recommend.

Perfect tiny little cafe. The asian guy working most of the time is friendly, genuine, and remembered my order after one day. The interior is beautiful, all distressed walls and subtle lighting, and the coffee was fantastic. Perfect neighbourhood coffee shop.

Like a lot of these reviews i have lived in Darlinghurst for years and gone to many cafes .The funny thing is i live right across the road from Fable and have walked past but never been in. It`s very simple in style which is what i like but the food is the winner...(i don`t drink coffee so can`t comment on that) I had the Hilltop organic Poached Eggs on Toast with house pickled raddish, Kurrajong leaves and handmade dukkah ( an Egyptian condiment consisting of a mixture of herbs, nuts, and spices. It is typically used as a dip with bread) with field mushrooms on the side.The flavours were to die for and the poached eggs were perfect with the mushrooms , dukkah , radish and leaves making for one of the tastiest breakfasts i have ever had.It`s my new found friend this cafe .The staff are fantastic as well.Plus i never ever right reviews but was compelled to do so.Go there you will not be dissappointed .Price is quiet cheap ,as well, compared to a lot of cafes.
