Comments of Goose Bakery
B. W.
They’ve got the best cappuccino and latte in the neighbourhood with the hot steamy milk and the beans from Little Marionette.
Like their sour cherry almond croissants very much, the pastry stays crunchy while the sour cherry and almond frangipani has quite a bit contrast, make each bite feels very unique.
Their coconut snail is so soft and covered with sweet and fluffy shredded coconut.
This little humble local bakery also does all sorts of sourdough which is very fresh and crunchy. Love the one with nuts.
A. W.
Their danishes and breads are amazing, great little find in
Forest Lodge/Glebe for take aways. Coffee is always spot on. Really friendly staff

I have been wanting to come here for some time now and finally made it. And it did not disappoint! A small place filled with deliciousness and joy as everything looked amazing & staff are all so friendly. Coffee is great & comes with a car or plane shaped shortbread cookie which is made inhouse and delicious! Crispy & buttery and you can buy a bag to go. The croissanta were like in France & had a burnished shiny, crispy exterior encasing airy layers of buttery goodness inside. The chocolate croissant was my favourite with thr best of croissant & chocolate! The danishes all looked so pretty so will have to try next time. I also loved the sourdough which is mild and not too dense but had a lovely fluffy texture & flavour. The madeines were so good & again buttery and i loved the hint of orange. The quiche is generously portioned & so healthy filled with veggies and the spicy chorizo roll is a winner. So happy with my find & looking forward to trying the matcha latte so which I have been told is great!

I visited the empty store near closing looking for a great coffee in the area, as well as croissants (and anything else tempting) to take away. Was worth detouring from my usual routes and definitely worth revisiting for a sit-in experience another time. Only one staff member on the floor (appropriate given the time) and her customer service was good.
The coffee was great, the complimentary biscuit a pleasant surprise, and the croissant was flaky and flavoursome, very good indeed!
B. C.
Had an avocado toast and mocha. The toast is delicious and the presentation is great. The mocha is fine. There aren’t many seats in the cafe, it was a cute little cozy place in this lovely neighbourhood of Sydney :)

I recently moved back into the 'hood after being away for a few years and this great little stop-off on Ross St is a welcome addition. Buying my morning coffee there has quickly become a part of my morning routine. Goose Bakery coffee is well-made as well as being delivered quickly and with a smile. The staff (who are consistently friendly and learnt my order within a very short time) always pop a delicious complimentary shortbread aeroplane on top of my coffee cup. The price is fine ($4 for a large latte) and there are a range of delicious choices among their baked goods to take away or eat in. They have the sweetest collection of native bird paintings that seem perfect for their decor. It just makes me happy to go there. Go the Goose Bakery!

I HIGHLY recommend the sourdough loaves from here, they are perfect. Tried first one tentatively, and have been regularly going back for them ever since.
N. S.
Excellent little tucked away bakery with a impressive selection of both breads and pastries. I would highly recommend the nectarine Danish which has fresh preserved fruit layered on top of custard. The flavours will explode in your mouth with the fresh produce. I also had a chocolate croissant which is was good but hardly on the same level as the danish.
J. B.
Products are good but need to be mindful of labelling. The brioche has raisins in it so it's not plain brioche, it's more or less fruit bread which is not really good for savoury things which I brought it for. That being said it went surprisingly well in a toastie in a strange kind of way.
M. A.
Great homely cafe with a very reasonably priced avocado/feta on toast ($6.50 at time of review) and nice selection of pastries/rolls/sandwiches etc (chorizo/potato my personal fave). Very welcoming atmosphere with friendly workers making it feel like your local from the first visit. Great coffee and never a solid wait even when obviously quite busy - plus they serve their iced lattes with the classic cardboard holder. Nice little outdoor area with dog bowl if stopping off during a walk.
K. G.
Lovely staff. Great quiche and Im addicted to their matcha cake. They make the best fruit and nut loaf in town! These guys don't waste food, which means if you don't get in early you often miss out.
A. R.
amazing cafe. one of the best coffee i ever had in my life!
c.
I love this café and try to go at least once a week. The staff are super friendly and thoughtful. You can really see that the food and coffee are made with so much care. Everything is delicious and the price is fair. I highly recommend it!
A.
Delicious still-warm bread and a great range of pastries. Staff were friendly and efficient. I just love that they give a complimentary biscuit with your coffee (prob doesn't cost them much but it's such a nice touch). Thank you, we'll be back.
T. W.
This place has amazing bread and quality coffee - one of my favorites.
u. s.
Little cafe with smoothest coffee and great breads, pastries and sandwiches. Plays really nice music and courteous staff.
A. T.
OMG I think I was attracted by the biscuit haha! Anyway the coffee is worth a try and the service is nice and fast. BTW the salad is quite cheap.

How lucky we are to have the “Goose Bakery” so close!
We regularly buy their amazing sourdough breads,(one of the best in Sydney), really tasty pastries and always great coffee.
The staff are always happy and very friendly.
Thank you so much for top quality products and always impeccable service!
H. D.
I've never been to a friendlier cafe. The staff are some of the nicest humans on earth, the baked goods are all a treat, the coffee is superb, the avocado toast is Sydney's best-kept secret, and it's all insanely good value. Favourite cafe by far.
A. Q.
A lovely little bakery cafe with great coffee. I've heard the croissants are well made too 🥐
M. C.
Pleasant little bakery with lovely staff. The croissants, bread, and kinako lattes are particularly delicious.
L. C.
Great little bakery! Their pastries are really great and they have nice bread loaves. We grab a coffee from this place semi regularly, which has the added bonus of a delicious little sugar cookie!
S. S.
Lovely little bakery that does some of the most amazing bread (particularly their sourdough). The service are very kind and welcoming and they have an array of amazing treats on offer (their flourless chocolate cake is a must try!). They also do great coffee so it's a great place to linger after buying your bread for the day.
b. o.
Great local bakery. I think the 6 seed loaf is better than other loafs from larger artisan bakeries. Coffee is good.
Great sweety treats that rotate. Coconut bun if you feel like a treat.
Exceptional croissants.
Love it.
A. G.
Nice bakery. Small but good range of snacks and solid coffee.
D. K.
Great small bakery with boutique style pastries and cookies. Get into their Christmas themed stuff!
d. w.
My favourite bread is here, organic six seed sour dough. The sour cherry & almond croissants sell out quickly
K. O.
The people that run this place are lovely, and we get croissants and coffee there. There's always a crowd and yet it's out of the way. It's all locals! Everything baked on premises and they take such care with the coffee and serving... I love the touch of tiny hand cut shortbread biscuits in different shapes, free
with the coffee!
K. C.
The croissants are the best, especially first thing in the morning. The sourdough is also good. I love the coffee. But the best bit is the beautiful smile and warm, friendly service the staff give you every day!
k. r.
The best bakery in town. Gorgeous pastries, good coffee, and super lovely staff xx
A. F.
Friendly staff and really good pastries. Some of our favourites are coconut croissant, salami baguette, brioche bun, fruit danishes, spicy chorizo roll, Oreo blueberry cheesecake and lemon meringue pie.
T. A. L.
A nice little bakery popular with local & family. A variety of bread and pastry. Good for lunch or breakfast.
U. G.
I really like this bakery for their bread and almond croissant and coffee ofcourse. The bread is the best i found so far in Sydney. They offer nice latte drinks too.
S. H.
Can't speak highly enough of this place. Amazing bread, pastries, breakfast and coffee and friendliest service. Best iced chocolate and iced coffee I've ever bought, and the extra little complimentary shortbread is the nicest touch.
E. X.
Freshly baked bread baked onsite from 3am in the morning. Always smells amazing! The Japanese owners are incredibly polite and sweet, and work hard to make sure they bring you high quality bread and pastries.
L. C.
One of my favourite bakeries in Sydney. Fantastic service, and I love the free shortbread that comes with a coffee. Delicious croissants, really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.
K. D.
Soo wonderful. Yummy treats and gorgeous breead. Japanese baker, Korean sweets maker equals divine, precise yumminess. Coffee pretty good too and not too many places in Sydney where you can find a kinako latte!
L. L.
Tried the iced matcha latte which was great - not overly sweet and great matcha flavour. The pastries are lovely and flaky and the avocado on crunchy sourdough toast is a must-try. Friendly staff and service with a smile!
C. C.
We love this bakery, best coffee, happy organised staff never miss the mark. And love the pastries also.
A. G.
Love this place.... Such incredibly warm and friendly people that serve/bake amazing pastries breads etc.
Really good coffee too... A real gem and the perfect antidote to hipster obnoxiousness that plagues so many inner west cafes.
K. P.
Excellent croissants (best in Sydney!) and amazing bread, sandwiches and other pastries. Lovely staff and great coffee. Fantastic.
S.
Casual friendly cafe. Delicious housemade baked goods. I like that you can order a light and tasty breakfast or lunch at a reasonable price. Coffee is good and the sweet little biscuit with it is a lovely extra.
L. B.
I am pretty sure this place has the nicest staff on the face of this planet. The baked goods are always excellent and the bread is exceptional. I will be back every week for bread and the friendly service. Thanks guys!!!
S.

S. C.
This place is one of a kind. The people are 10/10 friendly and service is impeccable. If you're after well priced food and delicious coffee in a humble setting, this place is second to none. Ps. Order a coffee for a nice little surprise!
D. V.
Goose Bakery , my new local bakery is definitely an awesome place . The bread is fresh and baked on site whilst the pastries are to die for !
Tried the Rhubarb Danish , and went straight back for the avo toast , the coconut croissant and the chic croissant !
Coffee is nice and served with a cookie
All of that at affordable prices !
Last but not least is the service by the owners , they are super friendly and polite.
T.
Great coffee, great people.
I wish they'd open a bit more often.
Thanks so much for the great coffee as always!
C. K.
The wonderful hospitality of japan brought down under to serve classic coffee and japanese hot drinks and a mix of both influence. Come for the Kinako latte, hot chocolate. Have yet to try coffee and food, but looks great.
H. M.
Butteriest croissants you can find outside the Eastern Suburbs! I always forget they're not open on Mondays though...
S. K.
Very nice matcha tea! Yummm :)
M. H.
Absolutley beautiful ambiance, lovely staff and fantastic food, drinks and great coffee. The pastries and avo toast are consistently delicious and thats what keeps me coming back
K. L.
Great coffee and best avocado on toast in town! Food is made with so much care and attention to detail. Very friendly staff too!
M.
I remember walking in here when they first opened. It was dead, but the bread was to die for. My wife from Europe who always whinges about Aussie bread was blown away by the bread and insisted I buy it every Sunday. Owner who I think is Japanese or Korean ( apologies) is an absolute gentleman. This place would make a killing in a snobbier suburb!
S. G.
Excellent coffee & advocado on sour dough very reasonable! Freshly baked croissant (best ever) & other pastries!
N. G.
Very friendly staff. Fully recommend the avocado toast with coffee. You can also buy sourdough bread loaves. Few different varieties to choose from.
B. Y.
It's not that common these days to walk into a shop to see a bunch of lovely people who actually enjoys their job day after day. I'm glad to have walked into this place to grab myself a flat white and a croissant. Fabulous.
M.

Lovely little cafe run by a Japanese guy. Great coffee, great pastries and excellent bread. Superb service and feels like a good neighborhood café.

The owners are former Bourke Street bakery so the pastries and coffee are great as you would expect. To top it off they are lovely people.
B. S.
Good coffee, great bread and pastries. They don't have an extensive breakfast menu but the avo on toast was delightful.

(Translated) It's not a famous chain store but it's a local bread shop
Crispy, chewy texture of $ 4
Croissants with sour cherry in almonds are fine, especially organic sourdough.
The Japanese owner chef and the Korean pastry chef share the parts and bake bread.
There are not many kinds, but it is faithful to the basics and is a bread restaurant with identity.
