Coffee roaster in the city, brewing up a nice coffee. We found the coffee to be quite smooth, not a lot of kick to it, quite milky if that’s your style. Staff are friendly and Service is fast. They don’t have a lot of food, small bakery type menu. We were keen for a tasting palette, though they didn’t have these on the day.

We tried a range of coffee from cappuccino to a chilled single origin with citrus and every one of them was divine. Located next to the Fire Station on Castlereagh street, I can’t fault this place at all. The coffee is excellent, which would be expected as they roast their own blends. The price is great value, no extra charge for drinking on site. And they serve a nice selection of small snacks, toasties etc. Service was friendly and fast.

The office hour is incorrect, which led my miss of my fresh beans. I had to change the order from pickup to delivery. This led to a delay of 10 days of receiving coffee beans. Sadly, these beans included a geisha😓😓

Normcore is in my top five cafes in Sydney. Beautiful coffee and very kind staff. They explained that the artwork on the takeaway cups and tote bags is hand-drawn by a young Korean girl, so sweet. I bought a bag for my partner and she loves it.

Everything about this cafe is top notch, from the moment you walk in the door to the time you leave. We had piccolo and V60 at first followed by espresso. All coffee were absolutely delicious. In addition, we were taught about single origin coffee and how we can enjoy it. It's a helpful and special experience. I would highly recommend Normcore for a special coffee experience.

Very good speciality coffee. And not expensive, $4 for a 8oz single origin takeaway. A very impressive range of take home beans. $20 for 250g. Tasty simple food also (Toasties, donuts, small cakes/banana bread.) If going here at prime coffee time (9am), expect a small wait.

Not sure if because my lunch, there is a special distinct flavour to the coffee that I enjoy. Definitely recommend. Finally a decent coffee place near townhall. There is just one thing I would suggest for improve is the temperature of coffee can increase a little (most of the time, I complain about coffee too hot, surprised that I will ever talk temperature been on lower end).

Incredible variety of beans at a great price. Their DG blend is legendary and the ever changing selections of single origin make it one of Sydney’s best roasters. One of my recent orders was seemingly delayed (AUS Post’s end due to current pandemic) and after I brought this to their attention, Nate hand delivered beans on a Sunday! Went and had a nice pourover 90+ Panama geisha lot 52 catered by barista Kev who took care of the business. I had a magic shortly after which was simply bliss! 👌🏾Caramel-like sweetness after having the nice fruity cup of Panama. Very busy in the morning so I recommend going after lunch when it’s less hectic... but the coffee is amazing! 👍🏾👍🏾

My current go-to in the city for coffee and up there with the best in the CBD. Edit: Dropping from 5 star to 4 due to service. Coffee is still up there with best in the city, but I have issues about 50% of the time I go here, from refusing to take food orders well before closing time, to them serving me a takeaway cup when I ask to sit in, to mixing up orders and running out of menu items, etc. They are clearly serious about coffee and I'll still go back for that, but they maybe need to reconsider the other areas a bit more.

One of my personal favourite coffee places in Sydney. Spearheaded by award winning baristas, Normcore is not afraid to spend, educate and importantly, deliver some of the most prized coffee beans to our front doors. My personal favourites are the special filters that come every so often, or for the more frequent flyers, definitely try their "magic" it's truly magic. In terms of food, they do a mean spaghetti.

Nice simple little hidden cafe right in the city living up to its name ;) Best thing was no long queues...I'm glad I found it by googling for good coffee in the cbd. The coffee used was high quality and good flavour just not organic - good coffee for me is able to stand alone...I don't need to add sugar to make it more palatable :). Liked the arty disposable biocup touch as well as the price :) Looking forward to try the matcha latte next...the staff assured me "of course" they use high quality matcha powder...this is what I'm really looking for having had the good stuff in Japan.

You can feel the difference comparing with others, and place is also so nice and cosy. Price is cheap and it's in middle of city so you can easy to get there. For almost a month been to various cofee shops aroud this area. Finally found this place when one my colleague took me here. Love the cofee and their cups with diiferent art.

**Edit: I've changed my rating from 3 to 5 stars due to an acknowledged misunderstanding and the very nice reply from nomcore. With the size not being a problem now, my experience is 5 star, thank you.** Good coffee, but the soy ice latte I get I find is the best way to taste the richness of the coffee without the hot milk weakening it. Problem is, I don't want a huge ice latte in the plastic cup so I ask for a normal size one. Most of the time it's no problem, but a few times I've walked half a km from my work to be told "we only have one size" - so like why? I don't get it?! I suspect it's the price but I don't care if it's still $5, I just want the smaller size. They can put some ice in a cup and fill it with milk, so what does it matter what size it is? Really really inconvenient but I'll keep going and try my luck.
