Came in for a lunch and was absolutely satisfied with my meal...salad needs a bit more substance. As it was a bit ordinary...other than that the 350g rib eye was cooked perfectly with a great char grill and the sauce was spot on. Would eat here again happily. Service and staff also made it a great experience.

I must say i hold pippis in very high regard the food the view and normally the staff. I was very disappointed with the reaction an response from the bar attendees Ive been going there for 3 years and always got mojtos from the bar staff even with out mint if they didn't have any . On entry I asked for one an was abruptly told no we don't make them never have very rude way to respond . I tried to say I always have them an was cut off no no we don't make them . Other wise as usual the food was sensational and staff amazing nothing was a drama for the food staff

Gret pub. Relaxed atmosphere, excellent service. Had the Chilli & Salt Squid at lunch overlooking the lake out on the deck. We came back for dinner and had the Hot Seafood plate which was DELICIOUS, generous serving and great value for money. Prawns, fish, salmon, squid and oysters were fresh + chips & salad- honestly you can't go wrong. Cocktails were great, I hear beer was crispy,also good wine selection. Highly recommend. We stayed in the rooms for 1 night- pretty basic/handy - not much more to say about the room. Oh! And they had live music!! COVID safe staff looked after the place 👍

Visited Pippi's last night for a birthday dinner. Myself, my wife, and our 1 year old. Clean venue, nice atmosphere, great view of the Lake. We ordered one hot and one cold seafood platter. Food came out in reasonable time and price of meals were very fair. Food was delicious and we were happy with our first visit to Pippi's. Staff were very friendly. Will be back.

Pippi's at the Point is my new go-to for impressing friends and relatives in a casual surround. We took a table outside overlooking beautiful Lake Macquarie and had a fabulous lunch! The varied menu ranged from pumpkin ravioli to Thai beef salad to steak to seafood. There was something for everyone. The serves were a decent size without being absurd and they didn't take too long from ordering to arrive. The mains ranged in price from $18 to $30. We had a really fresh chilled bottle of Tasmanian Savignion Blanc which had citrussy overtones. It was excellent. We all loved our food. The after meal mug of coffee finished things off beautifully. The only criticism I have is the lack of dedicated parking. There is a parking area, but it is quite small and 1 hour street parking can be uncertain in this popular spot. We had to duck out to move our cars mid-meal to ensure no tickets! Great afternoon out.

My wife, daughter and I went to Pippi's last Tuesday for lunch. The first thing I want to mention is there should be 6 stars for service! The food was delicious, staff were friendly and went out of their way to provide the best possible service. I felt like I was at a 5 star resort! The bar man was a great bloke. He made us feel welcome, and was hardworking and extremely helpful!!! I recommend this venue to anyone who wants to really enjoy their meal!

Visited Pippi's for lunch and found the food quality and value above average. Steak cooked as requested in good time. Would've scored a five but the experience was let down by bar staff who don't know their glass sizes when a particular size was requested. All round a very pleasant place for lunch and not too crowded

Took a trip here for lunch. Be sure to call ahead and book a table if you want a view of the water as we forgot to do this and you end up sitting in the TAB area if all the water view tables are reserved. Food was delicious and the seafood was perfectly cooked. Will definitely be back.

Great place to take your family, seating is very spaced out, live music and food is great. I ordered the linguini chilli & garlic prawns (see pic). A great customer service experience staff were friendly attendant, especially Dan the duty mgr. However, our food was average. The salmon was decent, the right amount of pink but needed a spice or sauce to give it some 'zing', a memorable flavor. The pork belly was terrible, sour and tough in places with the skin chewy and not crispy at all. Then skin of pork belly is famous for its crispiness, with a lovely sweet and salty savory-ness to the meat, which was just not there.

Staff have been nice and no wait at the bar Pricey for drinks ($8.70 150 lashes, $7 down the road) All food came out quite scattered after long wait (did warn about wait time) Menu pretty boring Don't like paying extra for sauce with a $36 steak. Rooms are fine. They gave us a good deal but if the original price was paid I'd be very disappointed. Stayed two nights but will probably look elsewhere next time

Top spot, top veiw of the Lake, top decor and really helpful friendly staff. We were greatful they were still serving food at 2.30pm midweek. As we had walked from Warners bay and needed a rest and a cool drink. We were pleasantly surprised to find the place all newly refurbished and still neat and casual. Really beautifully done. We found the staff to be happy to serve us even thou we had 2 young kids with us. They shared a plate of seasoned chips and a kids ice cream scoop with chocolate sauce. Meanwhile we enjoyed a light meal of salt n pepper squid with a pleasant small dressed salad and icey cold soda drinks from.the bar and heaps of water. We are already planning our next big family night out. But did enjoy our experience as there wasn't too many full tables. I wonder how this places rocks on a busy night?? It's well worth a visit.

This pub has a pretty good view of the lake and surrounding area. It had a decent sized veranda deck facing the water, and then a large indoor seating area for dining. They look the be doing renovations at the moment, which may increase seating size. They also have the main bar and tab area up the side of the pub.

Stayed overnight in a comfy room that had tea, coffee and breakfast cereal included. Really good matress on the bed. Nice park across the road for a walk and big pool complex there too. We had dinner in the pub restaurant and really enjoyed our meals. Very handy stopover on our way north.

The place has been done up, good food but when it's busy there's a significant wait. We waited 1.5 hours for our meal but they did warn us which was responsible and we atleast knew. They have 1 or 2 craft beers/ciders on tap. They had 4 pines APA while we were there although 4 pines is owned by the big brewers now it's still a good drop, bit pricey at $9 a schooner but it's still better than having only the tooheys/CUB standard taps.

I had not been to Pippies for years. We attended as a family and extended family for my partners birthday last Friday night. I was pleasantly surprised. We booked a table for dinner, however discovered additional guests at the very last minute - Pippies were more than happy to accommodate, which we truly appreciated. I took a cake with us which they were more than happy to refrigerate and then serve when it was time. Our meals were delicious - the entire party was impressed with their food. I ordered the pork belly and it was melt-in-the-mouth, deliciousness. We'd had a really rough day that the staff at Pippies did not know about but they went above and beyond to help make my partners evening a special event. The wait staff were kind, polite and incredibly helpful which is quite rare in such establishments these days. Thank you Pippies.

My meal was not what I ordered, but too busy to do anything about it. Attending a function with 34 other guests, only 30 places were provided. I have personally experienced similar problems at Pippis. It is doubtful that I will return.
