Comments of Simply D'Vine Cafe

One of the nicest breakfasts I've had in a long time.
The home made bread was the highlight of our visit.
The staff were wonderful and catered to our large group even though they were almost to capacity.
This little hidden gem is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended.
G. W.
The service and the food here was first class. My breakfast was fantastic and full of wonderful flavour. There are relatively exotic options as well as usual breakfast menu to cater for all tastes. The coffee was high quality and delicious.
M. E.
A hidden gem on Wine country drive, Nulkaba. The staff are friendly and helpful, the service is quick and the food simply Devine. Generous servings for a Great price.
Wheel chair accessible to the Cafe thru the Nursery with all its amazing arts, craft and plants.
C. R.
Great little place hidden inside a nursery (could do with a bit more signage) and within walking distance/1 min drive from the caravan park. This is less fancy than most of the other places in the area but that was fine for us, as the service and food was great. Fairly priced and serving sizes were decent, table service and takeaway. Didn't wait long for our brekky either.
K. B.
Lovely service, delicious food, great options for everyone, gave a kids menu with a colouring in pic and crayons which was great for the small dude. Great place amongst a nursery. Highly recommend.
R. R.
Truly one of the best breakfasts in the Hunter! We are on holidays here and came across this little gem and so happy we did, We've been back twice!
Corn Fritters are incredible as is everything else. It's a cute cafe nestled amongst the green of a beautiful nursery. Great coffee, fresh homemade food, freshly baked bread, it's just a must!!!
R. B.
My partner and I enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. I had the veggie burger and added a fried egg. One of my fav breakie burgers!! The chilli jam and yoghurt was a great combo. My partner really enjoyed the corn fritters. Highly recommend!
N. H.
Very friendly and service mindes staff. The food here is on the higher scale of unhealth. After a long night it might be exactly what your after. We where after a bit more healthy. A yoghurt bowl with some nice fruit or a bircher muesli could have been a perfect addition to the menu. A croque monsieur for $23 or an eggs benedicte at $24 did not impress. Also the croque monsieur should have a lot more cheese on it and less béchamel sauce.
This place is also heavily overpriced. I assume during peak season in Hunter Valley they have a queue no matter what. There are better places for breakfast in Hunter Valley.
B. S.
The team were very accommodating. We turned up with a decent sized group and they managed to fit us in.
You'll be blown away with the quality of food here, it was amazing! I could have eaten mountains of their bread, it was fresh and just perfect! I recommend the Croque - Monsieur, you won't be disappointed!
A. F.
Lovely brunch at Simply D’Vine Cafe to celebrate a friends Birthday. Service was prompt & very friendly. Food was well presented & the three of us enjoyed our well priced meals. Beautiful setting within the nursery & would recommend this cafe to all🌟
S. A.
Simply D'Vine is hidden away behind a cute little plant nursery, in a little homely garden shed building.
We enjoyed the breakfast we had here, and were particularly grateful for the pencils & paper for our little one (even though she preferred to throw them everywhere...)
The coffee was delicious and smooth, and well made by the barista on duty. I particularly loved the local chilli jam on my breakfast roll, I could have had a bucket of that stuff... (I believe you can actually buy it in store!)
I recommend you book if you're coming for a weekend breakfast, we were lucky to get a seat without a booking on a Saturday and when we returned on Sunday morning there was nothing.
Thanks for a little hunter valley gem!
V. M.
Located in a garden centre, i didnt have huge expectations but wow, this is worth the trip. I had the beetroot, goat's cheese and raspberry salad and it was excellent. The service is also very high standard.
s.
We had our brunch there weekend, it was a bit quiet maybe because Covid. Cafe shop in a nice nursery. We brought our dog with us, it is no problem, we were happy. Cost a little over $30 per person for a main and coffee.
C. F.
Fantastic food and pleasant staff, located inside of a nursery along the main road. Can wholy recommend for a breakfast/lunch stop on the way through. Be sure to try the French toast and eggs on toast 👍
B. C.
6 of us came in with no issues. They were served us pretty well. They are friendly. Great foods and coffee, satisfied with price. Went out happier. Highly recommended.
L. M.
Fantastic food and service in a very cute cafe set within a gardening store and nursery! The cafe was very welcoming of our two dogs, and the waitstaff was super friendly and helpful.
J. E.
Simply the best breakfast I've ever had. The French toast was insane, home made bread, yoihurt, dukkah and chorizo spiced bacon. The truffle mushrooms were incredible as well, packed a punch of flavour. Just amazing.
T. W.
My new favourite breakfast location! Could not fault anything we had this morning. Simply Divine 😆 Truffle mushrooms on crispy sourdough with fetta, rocket, balsamic drizzle and poached egg. Chia bowl, and not pictured were fluffy pumpkin pancakes with pecan maple syrup and strawberries. My son wolfed them down to quickly to photograph
F. B.
Wonderful experience eating here on Easter Saturday. Very friendly staff, yummy, generous servings of food. Thank you!
F. M.
This food LOOKS amazing. But it had its ups and downs. French toast was lovely, but that thick cut bacon is very sinewy and chewy, and hard to cut and eat. My 'green' meal needed just a bit more flavour...a tad bland, was saved by the mushrooms. But overall a pretty good experience.
C. J.
Cute, hidden cafe at the nursery. Amazing spot to sit and enjoy a peaceful morning with delicious food and nice coffee. There were options for those with food allergies or intolerances. Meal size was spot on. Plenty of flavour and not too greasy! We had the big breakfast with GF toast and Avocado Smash with bacon.
r.
This place is such a treat. The staff are so friendly.
We bought the big breaky and it was delicious and the serving size was large. The coffee's are also really good.
They do an amazing job. Will definitely come back whenever we are in the area.
Highly recommended.
R. M.
Awesome little cafe with super friendly staff in the back of a plants shop. Would highly recommend the bacon and eggs with the raspberry smoothie. The only gripe is the flies if you sit outside and the slightly expensive breakfast ($19 per main). Check this place out over the more expensive winery restaurants
A. N.
Great vibe and the staff were lovely! The food was very healthy eg the bread didnt taste like bread so don’t expect to get fat here. But the food came quick and was tasty :)
S. H.
Ladies thank you for the country hospitality made us feel really welcome. Quick service awesome tea/ coffee and hot choc hot and yummy and delicious breakfast. And u were recommended to us by some locals and that is outstanding
G. R.
Great food and coffees. The woman who was running the Cafe was brilliant, well organised, polite, great service.
O. S.
Simple, tasty brunch dishes in a cafe at the back of a garden nursery. Some nice homemade touches like chilli jam and house dukkah. The team are nice and the coffee is pretty good. Solid choice if you’re passing by in the Hunter.
R. “. O.
A rainy Saturday in the Hunter Valley. Our party of seven decides to lunch, but where? The answer = Simply D'Vine cafe at Nulkaba. We arrive early and browse the adjacent nursery (always recommended). Our outside table ready we settle in for a tasty meal. Our hostess is pleasant and helpful and our chosen dishes arrive promptly. Everyone in our party is well satisfied. The skies clear and we depart to continue our exploration of Pokolbin and Rothbury. Simply D'Vine cafe is recommended for a light meal.
J. S.
Just popped in after seeing the old bedord truck out the front, the food was amazing and the coffee was even better! Casey and megan have really tidied the place up after taking over only a month ago. We can't wait to come back and try the rest of the menu.
A. C. F.
The perfect little secret!!
The only place (we have found) in the valley that makes their own hollandaise!! Set in a serene corner of the nursery.
From the subtle trickling sound of water from the pond to the flash of colour from the fish and the various plants surrounding the deck where we sat, we could have been in any jungle around the world.
Truffle mushroom and a Big breakfast paved the way for our day. Finishing off with a Lattè each we were left speechless and completely satisfied.
Thank you Simply D'Vine, we will most definitely be back for more.
M. C.
Lovely people running the place.
Excellent coffee.
Excellent food.
J. C.
Popular cafe hidden in a wholesale plant store, famous for it's pouched egg.
It's a pricy breakfast for us, but interesting experience.
e. r.
Lovely gem of a cafe, recommend!
C. k. (.
Staff was friendly and welcoming to our family
Coffee is good and they make ice cream menu for our boys but not many menus are available
M. M.
Lovely food, good coffee and friendly service. Paper straw and fabric napkins are our liking too.
V. S.
Staff were very friendly and great with the kids. Adult meals were excellent. Kids meals were ok but a bit on the small side.
J. Q.
Beautiful cafe with lovely food and amazing coffee!! Walk through the potting shed to find this hidden unassuming gem inside. Love their tomato chutney with dukkah eggs
Insta: @thewholefoodthing
C. M.
One of our most favourite places in Hunter Valley, whenever we think of going breakfast, first place to go for is you guys. Great atmosphere friendly staff, everything fresh as always, specially your home made bread, Thank you
h. s.
Simply Devine in true sense. A small cosy cafe serving flavourful meal :) Will definitely come back to try out other things.
E. M.
Hidden gem inside the garden nursery, lovely food, good coffee and quick service.
C. K.
Great food and coffee :)
If you are in the area, please try their breakfast !
Chilli jam is amazing !
A. P.
5 star! Can't find any fault. Wonerful service, smiling staff..
Food is d'vine.
S. T.
We stopped for a delightful breakfast here as we travelled to the Hunter Valley for a weekend. We used this as a meeting point for the 6 cars we had travelling together. We prebooked the table so that the cafe was prepared for us as we were a larger party. The food was delicious with such a lovely variety on their breakfast menu. I can recommend the corn fritters - they were delicious. Good customer service and great coffee as well. Well worth a looksee
T. R.
Delicious food, friendly staff. I had a lovely time with friends here. Recommended.
D. S.
Found this little gem for breaky and wow we were impressed. Really good quality breakfast, fast service and friendly staff. I had the corn fritters and my wife the French toast and both were soooo good. If you are in the hunter book in and grab a excellent breakfast. Coffee was excellent as well. Had a bit of a wine hangover and this breaky and coffee made me feel 100% again 😂
H. L.
My parents had a great time here for their 31st anniversary. They were very accommodating and allowed me to pay over the phone as well as provide my parents with a very nice view. My mum was so impressed by their chilli jam that bought a jar on her way home. Thanks all (a particular thank you for the lady who served my parents - my mum said that you were very kind).
M. J.
Do your self a favour and try the French toast and eggs benny. The thickshakes are great as well👌
S. M.
Best Eggs Benedict I’ve had in a very long time. Excellent and fast service, very polite staff who were quick to serve and make the dining experience quite enjoyable. Great smooth coffee too.
S. A.
Did not expect to have such a high quality lunch sitting outside a shed in a nursery. Food is all around the $20 mark and very yummy.
C. B.
Fantastic little cafe, the food was absolutely delicious (as was the coffee). Might be worth booking ahead if you'd like a spot in the outside bit as it was fully booked when we arrived. Recommend the chia pot and the french toast.
I. L. T. N. L.
Home made hollandaise
M. H.
Lovely, accommodating and attentive staff. Great espresso. We both had eggs Benedict with bacon and it was all superb. Beautiful bread and ingredients and perfectly prepared. Thank you.
C. H.
The food is amazing and the coffee is apparently really good (I don't drink coffee) the staff are extremely accommodating. The location is very deceiving. Parts of the nursery look like they are falling apart, but don't let that deter you from giving it a try.
G. H.
3 star.
Visited today , service not a patch on my previous experience.Asked for milk on the side and it was in the coffee. Ordered a plain croissant and was charged full price as one with ham and cheese in $8. And it took 5 minutes longer than the coffee to arrive.Pull socks up please.
5 star.
Tremendous place.Great service, fabulous coffee with a lovely cake.
Food also and a very attractive small garden centre.
M. H.
The staff are 100% on the ball! Service was top notch. Food was fantastic. Highly recommended and worth booking a table. Very popular. Will be back when next in town.
A. c. y.
Turned up nice and early Sunday morning to have breakfast as we were greeted with an arrange of plants and water features for sale in nursery.
A gentleman directed us towards the back of the nursery where we found a quaint little cafe.
We sat outside surrounded by the natural features of the nursery.
Both of us ordered the eggs Benedict. The food was great and the coffee was just right for a weekend wake up.
T. K.
Such a hidden gem! We were going to go to a regular restaurant for our last stop before the long drive home but decided on this little establishment instead. A wondrous and curious walk through the garden store, you'll find the cafe hidden away up the back with the most friendly staff with so much personality. I had the Benedict and loved it, my partner had the french toast and I ended up eating both! It was just so good. Best coffee too. If we're ever back in the area I'll definitely visit again.
D. D.
Perfect combination of flavours in every plate. I consider is one of the best breakfast I've eaten in my 2 years in Australia. Thank so much. Excellent chef/ cook.
J. N.
Friendly service. Great coffee and food
N.
I’m always on the lookout for something different and this cafe stands out. It looks like a plant shop but go right in and you’ll find the cafe. Whilst waiting for food we strolled through the plants and bought a few as well - everyone was really friendly and helpful. I had the truffle mushroom dish and it was really good. Didn’t have to wait for an unreasonable amount of time for our food. A little gem in the Hunter region
T. K.
An excellent breakfast. Modern breakfast options cooked superbly...it's always the attention to details that makes a good dish great. Excellent coffee (from a coffee snob). Do it. Go there.
Lovely staff and served quickly. No requests were a problem.
...and ask to say hello to Hector while you're there!
B. K.
We went to the cafe today and had the most divine Reuben sandwich! Coffee is great and it's dog friendly too. Do yourself a favour !
T. S.
We had to wait for an hour, the chia pudding was a bit to solid and dry. The toast wasn't very toasty, still quite soft and the scrambled eggs were to runny and lacked flavour. The truffled mushroom was really nice though.
N. M.
Amazing!!! I had the fish tacos and my partner had the Reuben... both were so flavoursome and filling. Service was great and a really fun vibe coming from the kitchen staff.. will return :)
S. G.
Great coffee, breakfast menu and service. It's very small and well hidden so it's quite a gem! Their Eggs Benedict is delicious, portion is just right and the sauce is very tasty, not too salty or too much. Service is really friendly and prices are pretty decent too.
D. D.
Great little local cafe. They are nestled neatly in the back of the nursery which makes for a lovely atmosphere. Inside and outside seating available.
There is a good menu and the meals we had were fresh and tasty.
Decent pricing for the atmosphere and quality of food. Recommend.
C.
Loved this cute cafe, situated in the nursery it feels so tranquil. The all day breakfast and eggs benedict both came out quick, was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff were lovely and attentive. I would highly recommend you stop by for a good feed.
J. T.
Hidden gem! Driving past you could easily miss this place but the food and service is second to none. Fresh food with lost of character, not to be missed.
N. F. R.
Amazing cafe! We were a group of 10 people and stopped for brunch. Good variety of options, big portions and delicious food. Coffee was great as well. I highly recommend this cafe to anyone visiting the hunter, it's a bit of a hidden gem!
K. R.
Best brunch I had in the Hunter Valley. The pan-fried mushrooms were so good, I cannot recommend it enough, finished off with a cool sweet iced latte. Lovely quiet setting in amongst the plants.
M. G.
Amazing food and coffee! Highly recommend the Baked beans and the Eggs Benedict. We had wonderful service this morning, will definitely return when we’re in the area again!
c. l.
Saw the great reviews so thought we would give it a try. When I first saw the menu I was a little disappointed but I shouldn't have been.
I had the eggs benedict with smoked salmon which was really delicious. My partner had eggs and baby squid which I thought sounded like a weird combination but it was seriously good. Lots of garlic and perfectly cooked squid. His favourite meal of our entire trip.
D. M.
First time customers, Monday morning Breakfast with the wife, was nice.
M. S.
Waitress was delightful and very attentive. Offered us blankets because we were outside which was well received. Coffee was great. Food and service outstanding.
R. O.
Absolutely the BEST place to have breakfast. Great value but advised to book! Excellent staff. Going back tomorrow
P. C.
Simply D'Vine cafe located inside a nursery was just wonderful, the service was excellent and our breakfast was delicious, special mention of the home made bread....Highly recommend this Cafe.
D. P.
After days of drinking bad coffee we found this place. Finally somewhere that knows how to make a great coffee! The breakfast is fantastic, the home made chilli jam is something you could have on every meal! If you’re sick of dodgy overpriced hotel and resort food, definitely stop in and have some awesome food!
L. M.
The food was nice enough (i had the smashed avocado on toast with haloumi, pumpkin puree and caramelised onion and my husband had French toast) but at $26 each for breakfast plus coffees it is absurdly overpriced - at over $50 for two you'd want it to be the best breakfast you'd ever had.
The haloumi was also a bit tasteless and somehow fluffy inside, instead of the firmness and 'squeakiness' you'd normally expect. It did the job but i wouldn't go back unless the food is priced more reasonably.
J. B.
Great breakfast. Long wait for meal though.
P. W.
A great little place for breakfast. Nice surroundings (it's in a garden centre), good coffee. Quite a short menu but I found a couple of things I liked. Pro tip: Avo and feta smash and eggs is quite runny, maybe have with bacon rather than salmon.
C. B.
LOVE this place! Excellent service, organized & competent staff. Awesome coffee and great food. We just keep coming back for more!
E. C.
Really yummy food. The waiters could be a little more attentive and it took quite a while for the food to come out. Other than that, it was excellent food, delicious and well made. We will be back regardless!
A. L.
A tranquil little spot nestled in the back of a plant nursery. We came for breakfast, eggs benedict had crispy ham and great poached eggs. So glad to find decent coffee!
J. B.
Very neat location with friendly staff and great food. Quick to be seated and served, excellent milkshakes and the big breakfast was very filling and tasty, would reccomend!
S. J.
The best breakfast in town! This is where all the locals go, great breakfast with healthy options. Don't be afraid to order a second coffee as they are that good. Why not get something for the garden once satisfied from breakfast?
K. S.
Blink and you will miss this cafe, which is at the back of the garden center. It has a small selection of nice fresh healthy food which seems to be hard to find in the Hunter (in a casual setting). The bacon and eggs was delics.
Get here early as it is tiny.
Only one high chair.
The avo smash with salmon is divine!
As the food is so bad at potters hotel and brewery, eat here instead. They do take away!
T. H.
Service was great. Risoni was delicious. The Hungarian beef could have done with a bit more slow cooking as the beef was tough.
J. S. M.
Absolutely Amazing food, coffee amd service! Definitely will be coming back here
B. H.
Coffee is better than many other hunter cafes, the nursery setting is really nice but the stand out is the food (epic chipotle glazed bacon on smashed avo with fetta) and the very friendly service. This'll be a regular en route to wineries
N. E.
The service was great and food was delicious.
M. J.
Had a lovely breakfast. Eggs benny with avocado. Only complaint is that the eggs weren't runny. But still a great breakfast, big portion.
z. g.
Nice breakfast menu, nice coffee, great service. Would definitely go there again if I happen to be in the area.
B. J.
Savoury French toast with chorizo 🥓. Seriously delicious and inventive. Good coffee and a browse in the nursery after. Good times.
S. E.
Best brunch I've ever had - their 'foggy chai' was also an amazing drink. Fairly standard pricing, expect to pay about $25 for a decent brunch and a drink (cheaper options available)
V. K.
Great service, awesome atmosphere. Their in house bread is phenomenal. Bit pricey but otherwise fantastic
H. B.
This quaint cafe is worth a stop over for the coffee for sure. If you get a chance to sit in and grab brekkie, I would recommend the Chilli Jam Paoched Eggs. They are SIMPLY D'VINE!
A. 2.
Best eggs benny I have ever had, chocolate milk shake was very nice and very friendly staff as well.
Highly recommended
J. W.
Cosy little place. Good pricing. Love the chilli jam eggs! Ask for your cuppa to be extra hot. I go each week and enjoy it very much.
G. L.
Went to get a plant. Didn't stay.
J. H.
They claim to have the best coffee in the Hunter Valley, and is believe it. The thick cut bacon with eggs it's especially good. With a drive to try it.
S. o.
Beautiful cafe great food warm friendly staff. Very quick service. 10/10
H. P.
The staff are friendly and the coffee is good, despite being near a main road and in the far corner of a nursery it's a calm and quiet spot to read.
A. S.
A nice location inside an interesting little (flower) nursery, and with a decent menu. Staff was friendly and the coffee was ok.
a. p.
Breakfast was amazing. Coffee was amazing. Service was amazing. Will be back for sure 😀
P. L.
Excellent corn fritters and eggs Benedict. Pleasant outdoor garden setting.
W. F.
Excellent food... service is a bit slow although it’s such a nice location, so sit back and enjoy... coffee is great... I think I have found a hidden gem...

The best cafe in the Hunter valley! Friendly, great service, delicious food. Very good at catering to specific dietary requirements as well!
C. A.

Loved it, and the nursery is fantastic, Carol and Geoff have the best stuff, particularly if your garden is Asian themed!!
H. S.
Nice place for breakfast in garden nursery surrounds. Lovely food and coffee but a bit on the slow side. Best of you're not in a rush.
L. G.
Amazing breakfast, great service and the best hollandaise sauce ever
N. R.
Outstanding place for food. It really is Devine.
I would suggest that you have a better sign out the front to get more people in to your awesome cafe
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a great breakfast! Coffee was excellent. We'll definitely be back if we're in the area again.
J. W.
Quite a nice little place. Was able to take our 2 dogs while we had our big breakfast.
