We visited for lunch & the venue is nice with lots of space & plenty of tables. You have a choice of sitting inside or outside in a covered area. The menu is very comprehensive with lots of choices. We went for the Veal Schnitzel & the Pork Belly. Both meals were presented really well & looked good on the plate & there was also a good serving of vegetables which were obviously very fresh. The Veal Schnitzel (see pic) was the most unusual schnitzel I have ever had at any restaurant & was not what we were expecting. It was like a long piece of crumbed steak about 1/2 an inch thick & not the usual flat thin schnitzel although it was quite tasty. It had really nice crunchy chunky crumbs on it & was not greasy at all. It is also good that with the meals you have a choice of chips, mash, veggies or salad. Unfortunately no Tooheys Old (Black) on tap, only bottles so went for Schooners of Great Northern which is a good 2nd choice but I was looking forward to a nice creamy old. Overall a nice lunch & we will be back.

Storm for lunch. Had a pizza. Was big and cheap. Very friendly staff. Not crowded Wednesday lunch. Saw a great bbq menu from their permanent food truck which def needs checking out.

I just wanted to give a big shout out to James, the manager, at Taren Point Hotel. After the Uber Eats delivery driver forgot to deliver all of the food I ordered, I called up Taren Point Hotel about the missing food. James was extremely helpful and got my food delivered by one of his staff and even gave me extra food as compensation. James turned a bad situation into an extremely positive one. I could not be happier with how James handled the situation.

We went there on a Saturday night and the music was SO LOUD we couldn't hear each other talk! They need to turn down the live music!! Their new menu isn't as gf friendly. No gf sauces available with steaks and the menu isn't clearly marked for people with allergies (poke bowl was gf but what components can be chosen as gf?!). Also would be more efficient if the staff taking food orders know what is gf rather than needing to go and ask the kitchen and holding up the line.

It is a part of the Feros Group which own several other establishments so the so it will have pretty high standards for itself. The food is good, with a wide variety of options for everyone. A great selection of beers on tap with the price being quite expensive if not there during happy hour. It has plenty of parking, with the big area it can become noisy.

Came for the Ceaser salad, stayed for the drinks. I literally waited 40 minutes for my cocktail which in the end never came. Let's start with the good. The Ceasar salad was delicious, the crunchy croutons and chewy bacon were great. Also got a meat lovers pizza. Also good. Would highly recommend the food here. Now the not so good. I ordered a beer and a cocktail, and fair enough they were quite busy, but they forgot both drinks. I reminded them and they got me the beer but said someone would make the cocktail. Waiting half way through my meal and the cocktail still wasn't ready. I check and they admitted they forgot and would get someone to make it straight away. I finished my meal. Still no drink. We were ready to leave so I just wanted a refund. The girl forgot I had ordered a cocktail, no one was making it, didn't even apologise. I got my refund but she just went straight back to looking down at the cash register. Disappointed but I'm giving this place three stars for the food.

We have been there for a pizza making class, it costs 5 aud. Kids can cook pizza with any filling and can play at the playground after that. Great place to visit during school holidays and any other times.

Good menu. Supported by meal bonus offers. As per most pubs the beer prices are only affordable during happy hour.Recent visits have been spoilt by the loud music. Staff members claimed their management had instructed them to tell customers it couldn't be turned down. Must have been receiving complaints. All seven patrons said they wouldn't be back. They have reduced their buy 1 deal .Used to offer the deal with each main meal ordered with a month to use. No its one meal to be used within days.

Always a great establishment for beers and food. Although, the frothy out the tap is weird. Matilda bay rep should get on to this. It's been consistently weird and not like a frothy since November. And I like meself a lot of frothy. I've drunk frothy from the tap many other places and it's been consistently great. I also push a fair amount of frothy from can and bottle into me face, and they are consistent and great. But frothy from the tap here is weird and off-putting. Like an old man farting on a bus whilst maintaining eye contact with you.

A hit with most of the local businesses workers, so that's a nod of approval in itself. Fair prices for a varied selection of good quality meals. Not the place to come if you want a quiet setting to hear the clink of wine glasses. It's popular and gets very busy.

Decent pub food, not a great cheese board though, pickles and onions and what's with the weird sausage?? Cheese is good though, could do with a bit more variety of cheese and maybe don't put it under the warmer when it's ready for pickup coz it goes a little weird...

My family and I have been coming to eat here for several years. The menu is quite extensive and the food is always first class. The dining area can be quite noisy as the bistro is always full and the lack of carpet on the floor reflects and amplifies the noise. But worth it for the great food.

Place has had a reno since I was here last year. Decent range or lagers and pale ales and cask to tap for some. Food is your general hotel grim, schnitzels, burgers, pizza and pasta. No kids specific meals and no milkshakes unfortunately. I think they are missing out on that trade. Members get 10% or a couple of bucks off. There was also a food truck menu but the Mac and cheese was tasteless and the bechemel pasty from too much flour. Schnitty was good. Small play area out the coveted back as well as ping pong tables and a couple of hoops for kids to shoot balls through. Overall was an good experience and got pretty busy with families around 1pm.

Food is good and there is a good covered outdoor kids area ad well as basketball hoops and table tennis. There is an added bonus of the huxleys food truck (burgers are great) only downside is that the atmosphere is a bit meh.

Currently been renovated. Not the best place to stay overnight. Rooms are too close to the rear of the pub and it can be extremely noisy! Rooms could do with a clean. Otherwise rest of Pub is great. Can get busy of an afternoon with tradies, workers etc. Nice food though.

It's better than most pubs in that it provides a dedicated kids room which is quite sizable. Putting skill tester machines in there is quite deliberate. Whilst most parents we were with said no when the inevitable request for money came from the children to play, it's unfair to place these machines in a kids only room. Lessens the appeal of the children friendly venue.

Good spacious place to catch with your friends and family, reasonable size of food serving, taste okay and plenty of entertainment for the little ones, My only disappointment is my 3years old being bullied by a patron there while she was waiting for her turn of face painting. We came before the face painter arrived , and my child and I were there when the painter setup her equipments, so when few childrens came around , we formed queue and my child was no 5, as the queue slowly moving, i left my child with my sister to order my food . when I came back queue was already as long as appx 20 kids, I found my sister was being yelled by another patron lady who claimed the queue was from the other end, when it was exactly supposed to be my toddler turn. The face painter didn't defend my little child at all , even though any people with common sense would think the 1st in queue will be one waiting closer to her location, instead she face painted next kid in line as per the instruction from the rude patron , i stood my ground and sent my patience toddler to the chair to be painted next and ignored the yelling i think the premises need to ANTICIPATE interest from large amount of kids (on weekend especially), build a queue line if face painting activity will be always on the same spot. My mood was badly ruined by the incident
