Came to try this place because I saw that they won awards for their pies and am a sucker for pies! Did not disappoint! I tried their chicken and vege pie which was one of their pies that won gold and it was one of the best chicken pies I've had! So yummy I would definitely go back again! Hubby ordered their salt and pepper prawn toll and he also enjoyed it! Was impressed to see that they actually have a pretty extensive menu apart from just the pies! 2 display cases of desserts and some other lunch / breakfast items you can order off the menu!

Delicious food all round, we ordered pies, the big breakfast, eggs Benedict, chicken snitty, hot chipa, coffees and ice chocolates! Everything was amazing in taste and quality. Plenty of parking and bonus points for being pet friendly outside!! We will definitely be back next time we are in the area. Highly recommend.

Great pies and sausage rolls. Decided to grab hot chips and was damn happy. Overall very good food. Can't say much about the coffee as I'm a Melbourne coffee drinker but it was caffeinated and drinkable 😁. Gotta do a burger next time.

Delicious with a large variety of food to suit anyone. There was a line-up to begin with but the food was super quick, I only had to wait a short while for a burger. The Vegetarian Burger was massive and was the first place I've seen to put a runny egg on it, genius! The Lemon Coconut Tart was so sweet with plenty of coconut. Both items were very messy but there is a bathroom, which was clean but usually occupied. The car park was very full but there's plenty of parking space out the front that can fit caravans for travellers, tables outside are good to bring your dogs.

Always good food here from the roast meat rolls, desserts and I have not had a better pie in lake Macquarie. My go to stop sometimes I even plan my work run so I pass there around lunch time 😊

Food is simple old fashioned good food, what you order is what you get, prices are reasonable for what you get, the cakes etc are lovely, coffee is good. We will be back the next time we go that way.

The Bakers Den is probably the best bakery in Newcastle. Their pies are the best in Newcastle and by a long shot. It is the Bakers Den and then daylight. The cakes are OK. I use to be a coffee drinker but have stopped but if you like good blended coffee, you can't go wrong.

Great family place,,any time from breakfast till late!! Along the beautiful Swansea Channel on the Pacific Hwy at Blacksmiths just north of the Swansea Bridge!! Eat where the locals love to eat!! Good selection of fresh, plumptiously filled and flavoursome cakes and tarts. All reasonably priced. Outdoor and indoor eating areas. Covid safe and friendly obliging staff. Gold mine!

Great little bakery across the Swansea bridge at Blacksmiths , plenty of parking, straight across the road from the boat ramp, good selection of food from meat pies to cakes as well as made to order burgers and toasted sandwiches and cold cuts made to order. Coffee is good with friendly service .

My mother and frequently visit this cafe and they have a great extensive range of sweets, hot meals and beverages for all appetites. Only three stars for me because alot of the time I ask for more gravy and more crackle whenever I order the pork and gravy roll and it always falls on deaf ears.

A really great coffee here on multiple occasions. They have a great selection of cakes and treats, and pies and hot food. Pastry on the sausage rolls is old style and crumbly. Definitely would go here more often if I lived closer.

Staff were so lovely and chatty. Helpful and kind. Took the Micky out of my English accent when I asked for a Cornish Pastie. The bacon roll with cheese and hash brown was awesome ad was the Cornish Pastie. The kids eggs and bacon was great. The pastry is amazing. Great location in the freeway north as you leave Swansea. Popular for cakes, breakfast, pastries, coffee. Plenty of Parking. They are currently looking for a baker if anyone is interested.

Great little bakery & Cafe! Very friendly staff who were especially considerate of our 19 month old. We bought some beautiful soft bread rolls and stayed for breakfast. Scrambled eggs on toast was excellent they even cooked our son’s longer so it was easier for him to eat. My husband had Eggs Benedict and was very impressed- perfectly poached eggs and delicious homemade hollandaise sauce.

I let the cafe know I had 22 people coming for morning tea on sunday at 9.30am staff quickly moved tables so we could almost all sit together. Orders and payment were taken at cash register with persons name on docket so they just came out looking for the name and delivered there cake & coffee. Excellent service & friendly. Very busy cafe. This is a real gem, the place has some of the best cakes l have ever eaten and that is alot of cakes, whatseems like a reasonably humble exterior opens the a fantastic cafe unlike anything north of Terrigal. the coffee is good the breakfasts are just great personally like the pork rolls where the pork pulled away from the bone leaving you with what l would consider the best pulled pork roll cafe style in NSW you with might want to try something like a pies or go sweet with the strawberry lamingtons not from hell but heaven and to top thing off the service is good and the staff are friendly and extremely helpfully.
