Comments of Tuckshop Bondi
S. L.
Nice cosy little spot for breakfast with both indoor and outdoor seating. Food was promptly served. The bowl was a generous serving size. The breakfast burger was a little on the smaller side.
M. W.
Excellent Pablo and Rusty’s coffee, outdoor seating, nice menu and very close to Bondi junction. It’s one of the gem cafes on the edge of Bondi junction, if you are visiting Westfield and looking for something decent then go visit.
R. P.
DELICIOUS thankyou ladies: tasty AND stunning - I used my Dine and Discover voucher 🥰🥂
S. Y.
Nice little cafe at one end of Bondi Junction. Modern Australian with a tinge of Mediterranean influence. We came for a Thursday lunch and it wasn't crowded. The waitress was lovely and friendly. Had the Green Bowl and Southern Fried Chicken which was very well presented and had fresh ingredients, but both dishes were too heavily salted, which was disappointing.
S. T.
First time eating here even though i walked past this place for the last 3 years.
Very impressed by sandwhich serving sides, very tasty and crunchy. (French toast and Cauliflower sandwich)
Didn't have to wait long considering it was a Monday mid morning.
D. S.
It’s one of the few places around Bondi Junction with nice, healthy breakfast/lunch options. Although we visit this place regularly, I find the menu a bit limiting.
I like their sweet options (almond croissants are amazing). If you’re picky about your bread (as I am), I’d definitely try the bread here. The quality is really good!
During the weekends it can get quite busy, but its worth the wait. Usually it’s a 10-15min wait.
You can sit inside (bigger communal tables; it’s cozy) or outside (it’s a busy road though).
I like the turmeric latte, although the coffee is good too!
L. D.
A busy little spot just outside the Bondi junction mall.
The staff were on point and very friendly, the chai was out favourite brand (Prana) and Iggy's bread is some of the best in Sydney.
The hummus dish was fresh and tasty, with good texture between the hummus and the Freud chickpeas. The smoky relish was a nice finishing touch.
Will definitely be back!
B. H.
This place is the best...the absolute best.
Best coffee, best egg and bacon.
Awesome people
Do yourself a favour.
D. C.
One of the tastiest breakfasts I've experienced in Sydney. Never disapointed. And on top of that the Barista is the coolest guy, don't change a thing! 👌🏻
M. G.
Really friendly barista. Great customer service. The lady who took my order was very polite. Will definitely return for a coffee and a granola bar
A. J.
I must say, this was a surprise.
Coffee is excellent. Service is nice. The ambience is very simple and clean.
I had the brisket sandwich with was filled with coriander, coconut slaw, and delicious meat. Surprising and tasty. The cinnamon scroll was delicious too.
Great little place!
J. P.
Great coffee. I had two! I ate the breakfast bowl photo. My friend had the avocado smash on toast. Super satisfied. Will go back again!
A. F.
If you are in Bondi Junction you should have a coffee at this Cafe, you won't be disappointed.
Food is also great, I strongly suggest their salad, those are massive and delicious.
K. N.
Unique menu with a bit of twist and great quality foods. It was a bit shame that they were not flexible to accomodate to the dietary request - eliminating coriander yogurt. Overall good neighbourhood gem.
J. F.
Love this place!!
Don’t get me wrong there was a time I didn’t think I’d go back but over the pass 5yrs the “Tuckshop” has stayed true.
In my opinion the best place to get a all day breakfast in Bondi Junction only 2nd to its bigger sister “Bellagio” in Bronte.
H. C.
I had seen a few reviews of this place on various sites and was keen to see if it lived up to the hype. It was definitely a great choice. The menu was fresh and had a few twists. Great variety. We had breakfast here and I would like to come back for lunch one day. I had the Sri Lankan eggs and my boyfriend had the BBQ breakfast hash. Both were outstanding. The eggs were spicy and the chutney was sweet. It made a great combination. I'd definitely recommend this place. The coffee was excellent and service was quick, even though it seemed quite busy. Great spot.
B. E.
Went there today. The waitress was adorable and super helpful. My friend and I shared a breacky dish and took almond ice coffees. Everything was really good. I will be back!
C. R. N.
Really good food and a lot of healthy vegetarian options in the menu. We ordered takeaway drinks after lunch and they took forever to bring them so I think they forgot but food was so good that I will forgive them for that 😉
T. C. T.
Very Sydney but also very good. Delicious and healthy breakfast options, a relaxed atmosphere, and friendly staff. I noticed a table where a family all had drinks with straws, which is a shame because it'd be great for us all to do away with plastic straws and think of the environment. I gather that it takes time to phase the straws out and for customers to stop asking for them but it'd be nice to see businesses not providing them also.
F. F.
Terrific café with awesome, wholesome food - the only downside for me was the incredibly slow service (due to the high number of customers, which by itself is a good sign).
R. A.
Come here all the time for a BLAT.
By far and away the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten.
Amazing batch brew and cold brew coffee.
Update 2021 - please bring back the BLAT for the love of God. #bringbacktheblat
J. W. K.
Great food, with that little bit extra.
Coffee and fresh juice are also great. Friendly waiters. Any time again.
P. J.
Very nice place to go for breakfast. Great coffee and delicious food. I just would suggest to improve a bit more customer service. Staff can be grumpy and not welcoming.
G. W.
Great vibe, great food, great coffee. What can you ask for from a fussy Eastern Suburbs cafe? Consistently good.
A. G.
Not too bad, but fried cauliflower salad very oily tbh
A. P.
Bondi favourite! Food is amazing, they make everything there, friendly staff and coffee is great!!
A. S.
Great coffee and selection of cakes. Noisy location next to road. Little book swap area nearby is good for kids. Friendly staff
E. P.
I had the best chicken sandwich here, takeaway of course. Great service and happy cheerful staff.
L. M.
Had the best brownie of my life here the other day. Coffee was pretty good, staff were lovely
f. a.
coffee here is campos based and ok- great depending on barista. The tea collection is INSANE and something which I should explore more. I also think their take on the sausage and egg muffin is cute and worth tasting
S. G.
Super friendly staff and good coffee. Lovely salads and item menus. I really want to try some of the cakes and pastries at the front counter but each time I have been in they have flies all over them and its a huge put off. May I suggest getting some glass or a net to cover the back of the display cabinet so the flies don't get it.
J. V.
Healthy options from menu. Happy staff and pet friendly. Will be back!
S. C.
Great cafe in BJ😃
Nice food great service good location with casual chilling atmosphere❤️
Will see u again soon~
J. S.
Bellagio has wonderful food and friendly and welcoming staff. There is a cute and quiet outdoor courtyard to eat in and the menu is plentiful and the food is great. Would definitely recommend for weekend breakfast or brunch.
R. J.
Quality, nutrient dense, tasty healthy food & majestic coffee. This spot makes use of its odd shape / space for a ace dining experience. The owners are legends, I was away for 4 years and returned to see they had maintained their high standard! Go brisket go!!
S. P.
Cauliflower toastie was awesome. Eggs on toast are actually boiled eggs, that were a little underdone. Good vibe.
B. H.
Excellent coffee and friendly staff. Definitely be back
L. P.
Good food, good coffee and friendly staff. I highly recommend. :-)
D. C.
I haven't had a good coffee for a while before stopping this morning by this cozy café. I had a takeaway one and the taste was very good. Quick service and smiling people.
C. G.
I love coming here every morning with my family - the coffee is the best in Sydney and I reckon the staff are too! It's the little things that go a long way: the delicious chocolate covered coffee bean with every coffee; the personal greetings by the staff (and you feel like they mean it too)... love having this as our local!
L. S.
Pastries, cakes and coffee are always excellent. The menu has some great salad choices and breakfast options. It's the only food venue on Bronte Road which is consistently busy and has been around for a few years. Hands down, THE BEST brownie in Sydney. They sell by the tray and it makes an excellent alternative Gluten Free birthday cake. Be warned it's addictive!
J. E.
I like this place a lot. The staff are friendly, they serve fresh, home made style food, including their own baked bread. The coffee is good. They do takeaway. Bar style seating with a couple of outdoor tables. Nice decor. Just a good fit with me!
A. S.
What a fantastic cafe, the staff each time we have been to this cafe have been very friendly and talkative which makes the whole experience alot more enjoyable!! We have had the Pablo & Rusty's coffee that they offer and really like it, as for the mains they have great flavours, loads of different ingredients and amazing presentation which is what makes this cafe stand out from the rest. You are essentially paying for the amazing quality food which you will see once it arrives on your plate. The only criticism would be the portion size on some of the dishes we felt were a bit small. Will be back!
L. A.
ABSOLUTLY AMAZING! The food is delicious and the servings are pretty big. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, making my overall experience at the cafe really enjoyable. I recommend any of the weekly salads! they are always tasty. Definitely coming back!
V. D.
Nice place for creative food and coffee !
The staff is friendly and available even though it’s quite busy. Love the new Spring Bircher and the Avocado smash is just amazing ! Great mix of flavours. Super experience overall, we will definitely go back and recommend it !
A. K.
It has been 5 months and I still think about the breakfast I had there. I'm not sure if the chef did a deal with the devil to make kale taste that good. But I don't even care.
L. J.
I'm not from the area, but I've been to the cafe twice now, and the service from the guy with the beard and dark hair (generally he serves and runs food) is just fantastic. Considering I had only been there once prior to today, he said hello and remembered my coffee order as soon as I walked in the door. Excellent service! Coffee is also fantastic.
I'd also like to mention that they have loyalty system with their eftpos minimum, that if you can hit the minimum, you pay for an additional coffee, Recieve a token and come in and grab your prepaid coffee next time. Really great concept!
M. D.
Exceptional coffee, the long black I had was great. Would return for the coffee, but not for the food. I had the avocado smash for brekkie and it was okay. Overkill with too many ingredients that didn’t work together; probably didn’t need the massive, oversized chunks of pumpkin or both the eggplant and the pickled chilli (just one or the other, I think). Also asked for a side of sautéed spinach and was given kale. However, all that aside, the waitstaff were great - efficient and friendly.
g. t.
This little corner side cafe has a small but good selection of healthy food & drinks. I especially liked the rainbow smoothies (yellow was my fave) & the crumpets with bananas, praline & honey.
Coffee was okay but was outshone by the healthy drink selections. Food in general is pick-n-mix & diners are encouraged to order by serves from the selection of salads & meats on display.
Tip: indoor seating is limited so dress warmly or grab a blanket from the cafe staff when dining here on cooler days.
A. I.
The coffee is great, the staff are very friendly and the service really good. The food is OMG! Great place to go! Well done
L.
Seriously good food options.
Admittedly on the pricey side for what you get, this hipster cafe was very busy when we went. Warning for those with a group of 6 or more, I imagine getting seating would be near impossible.
Prices range from around $9-35 for breakfast. They have some lovely vegan and gluten free options. The menu although not extensive has a nice short list of wholesome food. There were 2 wait staff helping take orders when we were there. The man was snobby and seemed to look down on anyone not in the hipster/affluent scene, while the blonde woman was lovely, approachable and down to earth.
The food was typical for the stuff you'd get in the suburb of Newtown but at higher prices. Would still recommend for a nice bite to eat with a friend or two if loud stuffy places don't bother you. If you're after a quiet cafe then i don't think this would be it.
N. L.
Excellent French staff will put a smile on anyone's face. Service being excellent, the food is of good quality, not too out of the usual boundaries of what one would expect from a Sydney brunch place. Coffee good and some interesting choices (nitro coffee). Prices reasonable.
s. 0.
Trendy place for a coffee and breakfast. I love the pork and fennel sausage roll - but I've enjoyed pretty much everything else on the menu over the last year or so. Service is great.
M. O.
Delicious coffee, amazing green breakfast bowls - huge portion and flavours are unique and yummy. Friendly prompt service 😁
P. S.
Amazing food!!! The curried eggs dish is a fabulous Sri Lankan twist on classic scrambled eggs. And the pickle is delicious!!! The coffee and chai are awesome, really unique brew of masala chai 👌🏽 They also do their own breads and pastries. And the staff are really nice and will take care of you. I stacked it this morning and they got me a huge bag of ice for my knee bruise. And in general, great service. We’ll definitely be back!
N. P.
Cute corner coffee with suprisingly gourmet menu; they served us beetroot soup with veal shin and ploughman's plate with vegeterian sausage roll. The whisky marmalade wasn't our thing but overall enjoyed ourselves. Good service and fairly priced.
S. H.
Cute cafe with wholesome food that's only a stone's throw away from Westfields. The staff were friendly and helpful and didn't pressure us to leave even though they were closing, which i thought was nice. The sandwiches were bigger than we expected!
E. K.
Amazing original brunch food! Celeriac and sashimi, what’s not to like.
l. f.
The Tuckshop is my favourite cafe! The food is always fantastic and they have the best coffee in Bondi Junction. The staff are so friendly and remember everyone's names and coffee order. I would highly recommend the breakfast toastie! It's the best value breakfast you will find anywhere in Sydney and the bread is made in house! The menu is also very diverse so I can take my gluten free and vegetarian friends along and know that they will be catered for.
A. S.
Love this place! It's a mixture between super healthy food and something a little bit naughty. They make their own pressed juices, smoothies and keffir (probiotic drink) and have array of breakfast options. Everything, even the chocolate they sell at the counter is made on the premiss behind the cafe. The staff are very accommodating and will talk you through the menu. I went for the smashed avocado on their homemade gluten free toast and my friend went for the curried eggs. Both were tasty dishes but the flavour combination wasn't 100% right. It's only new so i'm sure they are working through a few teething issues. I'm definitely going to go back and try it for lunch, the salads looked incredible!
C. D.
Such a great place & so happy we were drawn in by the funky metro tiles and interesting food/smoothies on show. The coffee was top notch, the staff were good fun and the breakfast menu mde it really hard to choose. We went with the Croque-Monsieur & the Egg Soldiers (+1). We'll be back.
L. S.
I have been to this little gem of a Cafe a couple of times now and I keep coming back. The menu is just too convincing and wants to get explored. My favorite so far was their 5 Grain Winter Porridge with Poached Pear which was cooked in Pale Ale- something completely new for me and so ridiculously good!!
The service is relaxed and always on point and I love the big glass doors which in warm days are all open and let the fresh air flow around, their huge vases with pretty flowers and shelfs full of house made pickles, chutneys, marmalades and other good stuff.
I can not recommend the Tuckshop highly enough!
V. K.
Amazing coffee and by far the BEST toastie we have ever had!!!! Highly recommend
A. S.
I enjoyed my Lassi and Israeli themed salad. Making cafe feed exciting. Polite helpful staff.
C. N.
Really nice, locals predominantly, which is a good sign. Excellent friendly staff, nice selection of breakfast, decent coffee.....hipster music...
What’s not to like........highly recommended 👍
S. S.
Fantastic coffee and reliably delicious food, love the salads for lunch. Had to leave a review for the breakfast toastie I had this morning, so good!
B. W.
Coffee is good. Brekkie is too gourmet for me, not my style so didn't order anything. Pastries look amazing. I'd come back here for the coffee and pastries.
R. B.
Loved the coffee there. Price of food is reasonable. Good food. Average service. I don't recommend ordering a milkshake, total letdown.
L. J.
Amazing coffee, brilliant service. Always perfects my order, and goes above and beyond to provide the best customer service. Would highly recommend to all!
N. B.
I love the food here and the decor of the venue is awesome. It’s a shame about its location right on a busy road in Bondi Junction. However whenever I’m stopping into the area over lunch I’ll always try grab a bite from here as it’s by far the better place to go in the area.
E. S.
Great coffee, amazing muffin and friendly staff. What more could you want?
J. T.
My favourite breakfast place BY FAR in Sydney. Recommend trying the seasonal smash which is always outstanding, served with crispy pancetta & eggs. Yumm!!
S. L.
Love this place. Easily the best coffee in Bondi Junction and the food is pretty special too. The staff are awesome, always super accommodating and even remember our order.
M. M.
This is a great cafe, but it doesn't have enough room nor do the staff make it a friendly place to be. Coffee is a bit hit and miss too. However, if you're passing it is the go-to place for a smoothie or drink
R. L.
Really happy with the selection of food and the meal. The service was friendly, quick and efficient. The Kombucha was delicious. Great experience overall, will definitely go back and recommend it to others.
A. D.
At first, i was afraid by the menu ...as there was a lot of words and ingredients i did not know ...but the waitress advised the smashed avocado...and it was really nice... great mix of flavour. I recommand it without hesitation!
P. S.
Good, but not great (the food and the coffee.)
S. M.
Coffee is the bat in bondi J. Food is also very awesome here - as are the cakes 😁 service great too. You might have to wait for a table outside but it's worth it!
P. T.
Chilled cafe in bustling Bondi Junction. The staff are attentive though it shows that they often have to manage three things at once. Most importantly, the coffee is excellent.
J. A.
Good food, good coffee, nice people. Breakfast toastie is awesome.
C. M.
Great find in Bondi junction- good coffee, food and service!
T. S.
Love this food!!! Best coffee in Sydney!!
M.
The coffee is generic, but not offensive. The service was about the same. The take away regular cup is so small it's nearly a piccolo.
A. N.
He's not been back for a while and has gone back to its original flavors/taste/service, great overall mix!
M. L.
I was surprised this place was not rated higher. The Sri Lankan eggs were so tasty, teas were on point, and the green bowl yummo!
J. B.
My favourite cafe in the eastern suburbs! Food is delicious, coffee is great and the team is just incredibly welcoming and attentive.
E. B.
Great coffee and wonderful baristas! Can be a bit slow in the morning so leave yourself a few extra minutes for your takeaway coffee
B. W.
Great food and coffee. The toasties they make are amazing. Still need to try the Cronuts
p. a.
Not bad... but not worth the money...
$30 for whats basically a potato salad with chicken and $11 for a pre bottled smoothie!! I won't be rushing back for a $41 lunch thanks.
J. O.
Delicious breakfast and incredibly helpful staff. Highly recommend the Parmesan scrambled eggs.
n. r.
Best sausage rolls in the Eastern Suburbs, pretty decent chai latte too! Love the place
S. P.
My first stop - literally straight there from the airport - every time I go home to Sydney. Absolutely stunning!
C. S.
My new favourite in bondi! Such innovative flavour combinations. I wish for more seating during the busier periods.
