Best burgers in Semaphore. The staff are great, prices are very fair and the shop is super close to the beach. But mainly the burgers are amazing. I think I've had every burger on their menu now and I want to come back for more

Barry's Burgers is a "funky" little burger joint, and the fact that its not a chain store makes it all the more wonderful. The staff are awesome. The food is absolutely tops. The burger range is broad and the fact that a lot of the burgers have a gluten free option is a massive plus. Barry's is one place you need to try when in Semaphore!

The burgers were cooked decent, nice crunch on the toasted bun and nothing to overall complain about, but also not terribly special for the price of the more expensive burger.. the chip portions at $6 a serve is pretty sad, it's potato's my friends, it doesn't need to be expensive, and they have to be bought extra. None come with the burger. Seating options are also not great, there was one group of people in the middle of the store who took a stool from another table, making that table not useful and forcing us outside, my partner is short and disabled and can't sit on high stools. The tables outside were pretty wonky.. The girl on the front wasn't particularly friendly either. As I said, it wasn't a bad experience but we probably won't go back.

Come here pretty often with our friend group. Usually have to wait a little bit (anywhere from 15-30min) but the burgers usually hit the spot. Their chicken is the way to go (in my opinion), but the beef is also pretty good. Only thing that sucks is that there is minimal seating, which is fine during summer because you can go down to the beach, but during winter you don't really have many options of places to sit with big groups of people.

You could easily walk past this place and don’t think of it as much but boy oh boy you’ll be missing out one of the best burger joints in SA. I recently moved here so, been working my way up different cuisines semaphore road has to offer. I have tried few of the delicious specials, Baz Deluxe (recommended by the staff), Yard burger with the lot, VIP burger with occasionally a side of their pork or vegan loaded fries( Vegan loaded fries are a must even if you’re a hardcore carnivore like me ;)) Still working my way through the menu. Only way to describe Barry’s is burgers done right. Go try for yourself you won’t be disappointed.

Best burgers around! Might be a bit dramatic but I'd go as far as to say that they're life changing 😍 and they aren't lying when they say "burgers that leave you feeling good". Never feel sluggish or gross after eating here like some burger joints may leave you feeling. The baz deluxe is my go-to.

Gudday Mitch !! Server EXTRAORDINAIRE! Always a pleasure to be greeted by this bloke, never a negative thing about him, sooo good. While I was working in Port Adelaide I would stop in at about 6pm every Tuesday on my way for a meeting at Morphett Vale with another awesome crowd of humans in BSAC Adelaide. I have had all items on the menu plus two others, one of which being the, still unofficial, Mitch's Masterpiece. As the attachment shows I have used red stars and gold stars, red ones for consumed and gold for what I thought are great burgers. The Backyard Baz is a definite two-hander, it leaks a bit, needs a good grip to prevent content slip. YOU WILL NOT forget the taste sensation !! The patty is hot, the ingredients that you would expect to be crunchy are exactly that, whatever complete magic is making the sauce what it is needs bottling, soooo good and doesn't overpower the experience. The Hot Barry as listed is great and those that like it hotter can add the extra grunt as desired. Again the whole thing was hot, textures as assumed were those that were delivered. Everyone must have a go at the VIP Veggie Burger, the patty is palate poetry ! Now for the Pulled Pork. This little gem has a three item ingredient list but it is all that is needed because the size of the pork strings is that of the coleslaw, combined with the magic sauce the mouth feel for each flavour and texture had such evenness. And ... Yes I do know the amount of burgers and birds on the mural

Easily the best burger place in Adelaide. Always serving fresh delicious and perfectly cooked burgers. The location adds the the appeal right next beach so a perfect outing for a family, friends or even a date. Would always recommend to everyone that asks for a good burger joint in Adelaide. Also one of the only places that cooks the burger a little pink to keep the patty moist. Need to go back again soon

We had a Backyard and a Hot one which were not too bad. Patty could've had more flavour and cooked a bit pinker and the Hot one could be spicier. One of the better burger buns in Adelaide and also loved the free flow of tomato and bbq but wished they had a side option of a non creamy hot sauce though. Service was good but the place didnt have much seating so Youd have to wait for a table if it was full. Overall it was ok. We probably wouldn't return as there are other new burger places around we're keen to try.

The food is honestly to die for and no alteration is too hard for these guys. Always a quick stop before heading down to the beach. Do make sure you place an order before you arrive thought it gets fairly busy on hot days. But always worth the wait.

The burgers here are delicious and with the price you are getting what you pay for but in the positive way. They are worth it. The staff are really great too. Its good though so be prepared to wait during a busy time. Eg warm night at the beach.

Worth every second of the 30min wait!! The wait time was well communicated, which isn't often done. We got the Backyard and the Deluxe beef burgers and were incredibly impressed with both! We are regular burger consumers, and having also worked for multiple burger restaurants, can confidently say they are the best burgers we've ever had. Hands down the best burgers in Adelaide! My go-to is the Original Bird, grilled, with a pineapple thrown in there. Grab a serve of their sweet potato fries with aioli sauce and you're set! Great location - the last shop before you head down to the jetty, so the views are insane. They have a good range of alcohol, so you can kick back with a few and enjoy the sunset.

Great burgers and cool staff. We visited Barry's on a Thursday around 5pm. No line, quick knowledgable staff, and delicious burgers. I had the pulled pork burger - would recommend! The fries are delicious too with a hint of rosemary in the seasoning. Gluten free buns are available here. Vegan cheese is not available.

Bloody fantastic! Great staff, very accommodating towards food sensitivities, intolerance etc. I had a haloumi burger, my friend had one of the fried chicken burgers...said it was the best he's had. It's Grass fed, no preservatives, grade A beef, free range chicken. They have vegetarian and vegan burgers. Fries are yummy too! Great hidden secret in Semaphore. Really impressed. For a year I traveled around the world trying to find the best burgers going and I can say without a doubt that Barry's Burgers are the best I've ever tasted. The restaurant's use and combination of fresh high-quality ingredients leads to an unparalleled taste. The beef burgers are incredible, as too are the specials, however it is Barry's Original Bird that stands out. I can't recommend it enough, especially when the chipotle mayo is switched with aioli. It's worth pointing out that the service and location are also fantastic, and this place is well worth the wait, even if its busy. It's been two years since I was in Australia and two long long years since I had my last Barry's burger. In that time I've eaten countless more burgers but I can't stop thinking about this incredible little place in Sempahore and the culinary wonders it creates.

Barry Burger's Halloumi burger is my go to when I want a burger! So much flavour and LOVE that the buns are NOT sweet brioche buns unlike most places. The chips are amazing. Solid candidate for Adelaide's best burger based on my last visit! Substantial burger, nice blend of junky and wholesome. Left me feeling satisfied, not sick. The sweet potato fries are great, they're coated in rosemary salt and cooked perfectly. Very clean set up, open kitchen, simple and fresh decor, nicely kept. Staff were really friendly and attentive too. Glad to have a good burger joint relatively close by.

Great burgers, chill vibe inside, and friendly staff, too! I got the Baz's Backyard burger which was essentially just the best burger with the lot I've ever had, and my girlfriend bought the VIP, which had a nice, crunchy vegetarian patty. Fries come covered in herbs, which is always a big bonus for me.

WARNING: The sweet potato chips are highly addictive! I had the Baz Deluxe burger, which was pretty good, but there was something about it that wasn't quite 'right'. I think the onion jam may have been a little too sweet. I'm not sure. Nothing that wont stop me from going back and trying more of the menu. Fast, friendly service with a smile. And the prices are more wallet-friendly than a lot of other burger joints around, and that will definitely keep me going back. Just steps away from Semaphore jetty & foreshore. I went to Barry’s for the first time this week. It was probably the best burger I ever had. Juicy, great quality of meat, lots of cheese! Cheese is probably the most important thing in my life and this cheddar was definitely up there. Even the skinny vegan girlfriend I managed to drag with me had an option with their vegan burger and she wasn’t disappointed. It was terrific. Now let’s talk about service. We got welcomed by a guy covered in tattoos that first looked scary, coming out of a Mexican gangster movies, He ended up being the nicest funniest guy on the planet AND helped us out finding the right options on the menu. Thank you Chris for that amazing burger on the beach! We will be back ASAP

Baz Deluxe on gluten-free makes its way into our weekly dinner choices on average at least 1-2 times a week. Quality control and value for money are as high as it could possibly be, I can’t recommend this place more. The baz deluxe is our absolute fave. The bacon is crispy, the rocket is fresh, the patty is juicy and cheese is American. This play is the duck nuts. I don’t know one person in the local Semaphore area that doesn’t eat at Barry’s at least once a month.

Found this place accidentally on Ubereats when I forgot my lunch at home (and can't leave work during the day), the burger was so good that I accidentally forgot my lunch the following day and have since then convinced my boss to do the same so that we have an excuse to order at work as we are both very much addicted to these burgers! They are the best we've ever had by far, they are always filling, constantly delicious and never leave you feeling rank! Last week had an opportunity to go in one evening and the service and atmosphere was great (also the burgers were even better fresh on the spot) and I ended up going again 2 days later. Top notch burgers in a casual atmosphere only a few steps from Semaphore jetty. We had the Baz burger - hold the cheese - which was delicious and juicy on a tasty bun. We also had a ancient grains vego burger which, like many vegetarian patties, was a bit mushy and fell apart as you bit into the bun. Still it was tasty enough.

First time. Friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere and good prices. Wife had chicken and i had beef burger. We shared the chips which were amazing. 50/50, half sweet potato half normal. The food arrived within 15 minutes and it was realy tasty. The burgers were not over loaded with runny sauces...you know, how the mayo/juices always run from the bottom. Well, there was non of that, these were realy delicious. Defintely be back again Barry..

I really love checking out burger joints around Adelaide and SA. I really have been anticipating a good burger here at Barry's. While it was a terrific burger, there was a little too much garlic sauce. Honestly if these guys had a $4 cheese burger and a more interesting bar then this place would be packed everyday. Some motorbikes, oars or intriguing paintings on the wall maybe? Especially considering it is at semaphore they should make the place relate to its environment... Stand out from the sea of hipster burger bars and this place would be packed. Otherwise it's just another burger joint. a nice spicey burger. The chips... Wow they are bloody good! Rosemary with cracked sea salt! Blimey they were good. Good selection of beers. I got the hot Barry - perfect spice and heat. Not overpowering at all but a nice level of lip and tongue burn.. just right. A little mustard or something sweet in the burger with a little less garlic sauce and it would have been perfection. A tad too savory and liquidy for my liking. Made one hell of a mess. ;) Do yourselves a favour and drop by, BUY the chips! Still a Great little bar. Keep it up!
