Hot wings are utterly phenomenal, probably the best I've ever eaten. Good beer choices. Staff are friendly and efficient. Only criticism is they've started to use some kind of weird sweet seasoning on their fries, almost like you're eating a cinnamon donut, so I cant eat their fries anymore.

The sweet potato fries were shoestring and crunchy. Lots of sauces to choose from. We had the Yum Yum sauce. Definitely going back to try the desserts and cocktails.

Always very friendly staff each time I have visited. The burgers are mostly good (the rice burger wasn’t the best thing ever). The fries are good but nothing special however the serving size is really good. Have only had one mishap where they had forgotten a drink, however they quickly fixed the issue and gave us another for free which was really nice. The daily deals they have are good if you’re looking to get 2 meals for cheaper. Definitely miss my favourite item on the menu being removed which was the geisha concrete. However the hello kitty one is 10/10 Although will definitely be back.

When my family and I walked into Mookie's for the first time, we truly enjoyed it. Delicious French fries--with a nori seasoning--and a classic burger with bacon, a chicken burger that was crispy and juicy. My wife said it may have been the best burger she's had in Canberra. Also got a peanut butter dessert that was delicious but a little pricey for its size. Unique ambience with pink neon signs. Overall, a very pleasant experience and we absolutely would return.

Surprisingly good food!! Very friendly staff and a great menu made this a great choice for a quick and tasty dinner. Burger was great and the selection of sides impressive - I had the fries and they were great. Mookie is licensed and so I was able to wash it all down with a local lager. Good selection of vegan and gluten free burgers as well.

Okay so I got the Mookie burger($12) and the Crispy chicken burger($11). The Mookie burger was great and tasted like a proper beef burger and the chicken burger was good, the sauce was a little strange but so far it's the second best chicken burger I've had. The seasoning they use on the chips are super unique.

Very cool, hip place with very creative desserts. Definitely overpriced, though. The burger was delicious. Ingredient are plentiful and the bread was soft and fluffy. Very very very overpriced. Extra $5 for a second patty. Ridiculous. I thought the buzzers were a creative idea, but that means there’s absolutely no service here, so why are the prices so high? We ordered 2 burgers and 2 small fries tonight and were told to collect them in 30-45 minutes. We arrived 30 minutes after placing our order only to find that they were cold especially on the bottom of the burgers. Wherever the paper bag had been stored at Mookies must have been on a fridge or other cold surface. Despite that, the vegetarian and the classic burgers were tasty. Fries were cold too unfortunately. The jury is out on whether we would order there again.

I liked the set up and the fact that the chips were served in takeaway bowls. Besides this the service was prompt and friendly. Now for the burgers, we ordered... three of the four ordered were a 6.5/10 and the one was clearly a 3/10, just because it did not have much flavour at all. As for the sides, they were good and the quantity was great. The place is a tad expensive for the size and quality for burgers. Will I go back.... only if my kids insist.

Mookie burger was pretty nice. The burger itself tastes clean and the ingredients are fresh. The location is nice and the atmosphere is good too. The food won't blow you away, it is just a good quality burger nothing super unique. The concrete is okay as well, not to sweet and nice texture. Also the seating is somewhat annoying as it is fairly compact.

While the storefront and presentation set expectations high, the food just didn't deliver. The bun was a little sour in taste, lettuce was a bit sad and the meat overcooked. Fries also very overcooked and way too crispy. I was looking forward to the cheese sauce but it just tasted bland. I'm not usually one to dislike a burger, but for the price I was expecting the Mookie burger to be downright delicious and it just... wasn't. However, I would definitely be prepared to go again and try a different menu item as the staff were lovely and the place looks wicked!

Easily the best burger joint in Canberra. Perfect balance within the burger and delicious sweet potato fries with chilli mayo to go with it, the added bonus of the Mookie ice tea to wash it down. Well worth the visit. Staff we friendly and good prices make this place the best in town.

Absolutely delicious! The basics were definitely right; good patty, soft bun, high quality cheese. It was a generous portion. I couldn't finish my butter because it was too big. I later found out they use 150g patties which I thought was an absolute monster. Potato gems came with the most delicious cheese sauce and jalapeno. They were not stingy with sauces or portions. If you're in Canberra, this is a must try!

Loved the atmosphere however was confused when the waiter came and asked if everything was all good as I forgot it was not a fast food joint. Burger was nice, little bit dry but was certainly worth the purchase, next time will go double patty 💯 Edit: went a second time and had the chicken deluxe and boy is it good! A quality burger joint for Canberra. Mookie Burger is very good, with excellent soft bun and nice, juicy patty (tho a bit overcooked for me). Condiments are fresh and tasty. I made it a deluxe which added awesome crispy bacon, but also some very strong, tart pickles, which had a dominating flavor. Chocolate Nutella shake could do with more Nutella flavour. Would happily come back.

Love the food at Mookie and the service has always been efficient and friendly. I love the fact that the burgers don't come with fries so you can just order a burger and pay a reasonable price for it instead of getting a burger with fries included for a massive mark up. I've ordered pretty widely from the menu and have enjoyed everything I've ever had at Mookie.

Nothing really special about this place, everything was just OK. The burger I had wasn't the best and had way to much spicy sauce in it (or the sauce was way to strong) meaning that's all I could taste, the onion rings weren't anything really special and I found the music that was playing was too loud and just got annoying. Would highly recommend Mookie burger. Had two concretes and they were both absolutely delicious. My partner had the chicken burger, he is a massive burger fan and said it was possibly the best chicken burger he has ever had. Wonderfull burger shop, I had the Mr Miyagi, the pork was juicy and tender and the slaw was crisp and crunchy, definitely one of the best burgers I have ever had. I always come back for the same thing. A Mookie burger and matcha green tea shake. The burger is a perfect balance of umami and sweetness. The patty has crisp Maillard bits everywhere but it bites so well. One is not enough, but two is too much...Ah. The matcha shake is just sweet enough with perfect matcha balance. I could easily drink a bucket. Staff are amazing! So friendly in a genuine way and really passionate about what Mookie is doing.

Burger, fries and shake were all delicious. The Mookie burger 'deluxe' option is worth the extra couple of bucks for crispy bacon goodness. Overall value is borderline - more than $50 for two burgers, shakes and shared fries. If you've got a big appetite there are better options around.

I had the deluxe Mookie burger and it was pretty good; nice clean flavours in all of the ingredients, and the flavours were well balanced. My only knock is that the patty was fairly dry. Personally, I like a fattier patty, and one that is cooked so it's still got some pink inside. The shoestring fries were excellent though, creamy, but with a crunchy exterior. Spot on.

It has a Japanese name but is more of a contemporary upmarket twist on an old-school American diner. Their best sellers are burgers, potato gems with toppings, shakes, and concretes. Good for causal eats, indoor and outdoor seating options available. Some alcoholic drinks are available. The staff are friendly but the place could improve its value for money. A lot of the time you get less than what you might expect for the price.

Really juicy burgers! I would rate this place as one of the top burger places in Canberra. The bun is soft and sweet, the meat tender and juicy. It isn't massive in size however you can taste quality in the ingredients.

We arrived at 8:50pm on a Friday night and ordered two burgers and chips. They let us know that they would be closing at 9:30 but we would have plenty of time to finish our meals. One of our burgers was cooked within 10 minutes of arriving, the other took a further 20 minutes but we were only "buzzed" to pick up our order when the second burger was done. By this time, the first burger was cold, it was 9:20pm and we had 10 minutes to eat our food. We ended up taking our chips with us as we simply didn't have enough time. They also had an issue with their post-mix and the soft drink the staff member was going to bring to our table never arrived. They had forgotten about it and had to be reminded when we collected our burgers. I don't think I'll be eating here again. The service isn't great, the burgers are over priced for what you get and half an hour to cook a burger is a bit ridiculous.

Pretty good burgers. We had the beef and the mushroom burgers. Its priced comparative to other "upscale" burger places like Grill'd. The burgers are more like classic America diner burgers, so thinner, with fewer toppings and buttery. Sides are pretty impressive (get one to share). I'll definitely eat there again.

The burger standards have unfortunately gone down a fair bit from the last time I visited. The burger patty used to be juicy. It is now really dry and appears to have been recooked in some manners. Whatever it is, the patty is now definitely overcooked and horrible to eat!

Would have love to give five stars as staffs were amazing, friendly and try their best to help. But we were disappointed by the lack of choices for kids as it was almost none ( only mookie kids burger available). The burger were really good and i particularly love the sweet potatoes fries (really tasty) . The place is more for friends gathering together ( from late teen to adult) but definetly not for families with young kids ( under 10). We stopped there as our niece who is from canberra thought it would be a great place to eat out as they got burger and ice cream without realising that none of the item were suitable for the yougest one. So mookie burger was a big hit at our table, less for the chicken schnitzel one as the coleslaw was having too much of red cabbage that overtake the whole taste. The red velvet smoothie was tasty and the kids loves the bingo ice cream ( chocolate one ). Hope to see more item for kids added to the menu in the future as we would love to stop there again for the burger !

Our family ate the regular Mookie burger, a gluten free chicken burger and the sweet maple bacon fries. The maple fries were too sweet, could have had more bacon to balance out the sweetness. The chilli mayo was a winner, everyone liked the fresh ingredients and reasonably quick service.

Agree with Tommy. I had Mookie last Friday and the southern fried chicken burger is on par with Grease Monkey or maybe even better. I also had a concrete from there which was the best I've ever had, possibly better than Goodberries. So far I've had nothing but quick service and good food so I'm surprised to see so many negative experiences.

Mookie Burger is an interesting addition to the Canberra market. As the name suggests, they do burgers. You can find a range of beef, chicken, and even vegetarian options. I would have to say that the vegetarian option was lacking in flavour and had a strange consistently.. but im no vegetarian. The burgers are presented magnificently! I haven't seen anything like it. Especially in Canberra. This alone is why you go to Mookie. Everything else is good, nothing overly exciting but very palatable.

I had the mookie burger. It's kind of like a cheese burger with a big mac tasting sauce and a tad spicy. Having paid $13 my first thought was that it was very small. Thing is though... it was delicious, maybe a tad stingy on the sauce when they made it but still I wanted another...so yeah it was great but is it a good thing to leave a burger joint feeling like you could eat another?
