Super nice atmosphere. Food is always good. One the 'fresher' burger places around in that the food doesn't feel too greasy, just a good balance. The flavour balance is great!

A bunch of ingredients in the burger and you can choose your own type of bread, which is great! Big portion can absolutely fill a man. Friendly staff, reasonable waiting time even almost hull house and lots of take away orders. The thick chips are really thick and filling, crispy outside and soft inside, it is no seasoning at all, but salt and pepper and tomato sauce are available if request. However, I personally think the burger is too dry, the bun is good, the meat and bacon taste good, but they are all staying apart, no media to mix them together.

I came by here to meet my friends at their suggestion, although I've here a few times over the years. BH is situated in the nice North Hobart strip where all the action is. There is also a large carpark located off the main road although it's since become a paid area until 8pm and there only 30 mins zone closer to the shops until about 9pm. As a result of this, the carpark is very underutilized as people park elsewhere. If you haven't been here before, the entrance is located by the carpark and although you can go through a laneway from the main road. This place is the type where you have order at the counter and you have serve your own cutleries, serviettes, menus and water. They also charge public holiday rates of 10%. They allow AMEX without surcharge here. My friends ordered the smokey haus and another summer lovin' and we got the ring of fire, with two sets of fries. My friends enjoyed their meal which was all we got. The spiciness was to our taste, but the other taste was a little bland but not too bad. We chose ours as we like our food to have a kick to it alongside the normal taste. The fries was just fine for us, nothing special, we probably prefer Maccas chips over this one. Overall the place is decent, not bad at all. My pick is Burger got Soul over this place as it does better burgers and chips than this place. I understand it's a matter of taste for people and that's fine. This place is still decent and have a lot of choices to try if you don't like one, so still worth trying if you haven't been before. The public holiday rates makes the price more uncompetitive with their rivals. Imagine paying $21 for a burger + chips? It's more at the expensive side for me.

Always have to pop in and have a look at the current burger and shake specials. I had one of the bubble o Bill shakes which had proceeds going towards fire disaster aid. Salmon was nice not dry in the panini....because why not. The southern style chicken is tasty although very thin peices of chicken and over coated in crumbs. Other than that the actual flavour was pretty spot on. The burgers don't tend to keep the structural integrity at all and the bread just kind of falls apart which was odd. But still a fantastic joint for a burger and shake.

Really cool inside and outside seating space, not too large. Soft music played outside not too loud so you can still have a conversation. Food was great and good portion size for the value. Beer was tastey, only have one beer on tap, serves up to pint size.

I decided to go with the Haus burger, lettuce wrapped. It was phenomenal. The steak fries and onion rings are very good as well. I highly recommend the food and the staff.

Best burgers in Hobart....or so my "well qualified to make that statement" two teenage children tell me. Been to every burger bar in town, this one wins the prize. I liked it as it caters for the middle aged parent too, glass of vino, and its not too funky loud. Didn't smash my wallet either.

A fantastic burger joint. You can tell it's well liked - on the weekday night we went there was a small wait and plenty of orders. I ordered "house burger" and my partner the chicken. Burgers come in a combination style of American diner style for the meat and sauce and buns, and homestyle for the salad filler. My beef was delicious and just a little blushed, and the chicken was juicy. Sauces were plentiful and heavy - my favourite. Ingredients were fresh and crispy and tasty. Tomatoes and lettuce very fresh. My 'white' bun was bordering on a brioche (delicious) and held everything together very well. The wholemeal was reported to be great as well. As I said before an excellent blend of the two styles. It's closer to the blend style of Burger Got Soul Sandy Bay then the home style of Marigold North Hobart. Overall a brilliant experience and cannot wait to get back to try something else and the sides. For a special treat, peer into the kitchen to see the most practical production line of burger makers I have ever seen.

Oh my goodness! If you're looking for the best burgers you've EVER tasted, look no further! We went on a Friday night, so it was quite busy and we had to wait for a meals a bit, but it was definitely worth the wait. They cater for gluten free, dairy free and celiac, and the staff are very professional and friendly.

Went with my kids and tried the 'Mistake' burger. Was really good! The kids also enjoyed their food and the serving sizes were appropriate as well. Good value for money. It was super busy but we were seated fairly quickly and the staff was attentive and pleasant.

The food here is nearly always amazing, great customer service and the prices are fair, I regularly get food from burger haus, we had a small issue tonight of one of the burgers in my group not being put through with the rest and the buns on all burgers were not even warm other than that everything was great, the issue with the missing burger was quickly fixed. This is a cute little burger place in North Hobart. Service was fair. It was quite busy so the staff were rushed. The food was also ok, not incredible and I don't think I would consider the burgers gourmet. I had a delicious beer though.

Pros: Good, large burgers served at a good price. The milkshakes are awesome and so are the fries! The place has very good atmosphere and outside seating have heaters nearby. Location is ideal and very near car park. Cons: Milkshake price a little high. Toilet is really dark (if you care). Sometimes the utensils run out and you have to wait till they're washed.

This is my favourite place for burgers in hobart. It is situated on the foodie strip of north hobart. The ambience is very nice with an open kitchen and an outdoor sitting area. My go to burger is the vege haus. I like it with haloumi and spicy death sauce in it. If you're visiting North Hobart, this is definitely a place to try.

For the full fat food experience this place is tops. Check with your doctor then don't be shy. Tuck in to a plethora of burgers, fries (not chips) plus not to forget the humble battered onion ring. Three seconds in and you will hear the words "not bad" ringing in your ears. Good milk shakes too.

I tried the misteak out of curiosity and it is one of the best steak sandwich in Hobart. It is one of the best burger restaurant in town that serves quality good for a reasonable price. I would recommend this burger chain to my friends and definitely will comeback here to try other burgers.

Second time I've been there. It is great! Really fricken good food, I really liked the mock/cocktails, and I like the atmosphere overall. My first visit was better than my second as tables are a bit close together to have conversions as it is, and that became harder as music got turned up loud on the Friday night I went (vs the Sunday night) like it was a pub... But it did have a good vibe overall. As an aside: if you order through Uber Eats don't blame burger haus if your food turns up cold. The number of Uber Eats drivers who came in to collect orders without having any warmer bags like they're supposed to have, and other healthy food service items, was ridiculous. This is not Burger Haus' fault. I saw each driver get told to have one next time they came in. My friend and started taking bets on how many we would see without warmer bags by the end of our meal.

I can see the potential but our visit was disappointing due to the execution. Before I get stuck into what went wrong I'll cover the positives. -Atmosphere was great. -The staff all looked pretty happy and we were warmly welcomed -Menu had some great options and the burgers were well priced. -The Burger patties were cooked Medium and were very tasty. -Presentation of the food was great -The quality of ingredients used in the burgers was very good. -many and varied drink options were appealing, some classy beers, wines & ciders in the mix, not just the stock standards ales and largers. What went wrong... -All the sides, fat chips, shoestring fries & Onion rings arrived cool, not yet cold but pretty damn close. -The onion rings were soggy and the batter had a sprinkle of curry powder in it to try and be funky but in it's cold soggy state tasted unappealing. -My burger had a Big Old Hair stuck in with the cheese, nobody ever came around after serving to see how things were going so I told the staff when we left. -Drinks are overpriced in my opinion, it feels like they are trying to get as much money out of you in a single round, ie Order one burger & drink, then out the door. -My Bacon was cooked to death, charred to the point of tasting like burnt toast, when my teeth found it on my first bite I thought I had hit a piece of wood. To wrap things up, I said before I can see the potential as the basics are there, it was just some sloppy execution on the night that let everything down. Perhaps the kitchen was under the pump given we went early on a Friday night, that's hardly an excuse but certainly standards can slip when the kitchen gets in the weeds.

Very accommodating staff - our pram was too wide for the front door so they took us around the back. The milkshakes are to die for and the food was delicious and we didn’t wait very long for it. Atmosphere is not a quiet one but it’s not excessively loud either.

I've eaten here a lot but only ever for breakfast. The fried breakfasts are a great size and there's a good variety on the plate; the only let down is the sausage which is always disgusting. The fruit salad is disappointing in size and variety of fruit but light and well presented. Good relaxed vibe, good service, great location.

Mmmmmm yummo!! What more can I say except; reasonable prices for the large servings, lots of options to choose from, friendly staff and extremely quick service. The peanut butter and nutella shakes are to die for. Definitely highly recommended for any occasion both day and night.

When it comes to great burgers in Hobart, two places often come to people's minds: Burgerhaus and The Standard. Now as for which one is better, it's a bit like the age old debate of Messi vs Ronaldo. You know one is clearly better, but you have to at least applaud the other for the effort they put in. As for which burger place is better I'll let you decide.

If your in tasmainia this little cafe segreto is very well known as its award winning 3 years in a row segreto italian translation means secret garden as its hiden up a small ally way in north hobart it may be hard to find you may need to ask some locals were it is but its well worth it just be sure to book at least 2 weeks in advance as every night its full up if you get in it a real treat.

Yummmmmm!!! The burgers are always outstanding here, and the selection of craft beers blew me away for such a small space. We splurged on their specialty milkshake last time (peanut butter and jam) and left incredibly full and incredibly satisfied. Staff are really friendly and the space has a nice, cozy atmosphere.
