Comments of Betty's Burgers
J. L. (.
Really solid CBD burger joint, love the tunes and atmosphere inside the venue especially. The service is super quick with a deli style pickup from the counter system.
Love the buns the smash style patty’s are wrapped in, the fries are also particularly great, I think keeping the skins on really adds to the flavour and uniqueness.
The special Betty’s sauce is a also an awesome take on the familiar “special burger sauce” were all familiar with.

Amazing burger place, with a really chilled vibe inside. The staff are super friendly having gone in recently for my first time the staff recommend a couple of things and was left with the most amazing combo. The Betty deluxe was cooked perfectly with the right balance of toppings and super moist patty, freshly cut shoe string fries with secret sauce dipping sauce and to complete it a cookies and cream shake which tasted like cookie dough and chocolate pieces

Probably my favorite "fast food" burger in CBD. Ordered Betty's classic and deluxe, + chips and drinks. Also, try to order through their app to avail some of the discount vouchers available. Just inform the counter after ordering that you ordered though app but want to dine in instead.
L. V.
Nice little burger joint with a hint of 70's American diners. Burgers are good (pan cooked and not microwaved like other fast food joints) and prices are ok. Worth a visit.

Probably the best burguers in CBD. The staff were friendly. Turnaround time was quick as well.
Definitely a must visit for some good crispy burgers.

Enjoyed the burger and onion rings a lot. Fresh, tasty and juicy... What more can you ask from a Cheeseburger.
P. S.
wow, burger was juicy and service was excellent! tried their classsic and chicken burger both 10 out of 10!
Thanks for the great experience!

For a fast food chain restaurant, their burger was decent, not as close as to five guys burger . The burger was served in a nice soft brioche bun . The employees were friendly and the food came out in a timely manner . Their Milk shake was surprisingly great, I think its made of real ice cream .
I would like to thank the employee who took my order and the kitchen staff for accommodating to our non pork diet, by cooking our food in a different side of the grill.
Our orders were : 2 classic burgers , grilled chicken breast ,fries,,onion rings, strawberry shake and a coke .
For someone who doesn't do fast food ,would I go back ? I think I would .

This place is generally packed whenever we pass by it, so we decided to come here on a “less crowded” afternoon and found plenty of tables to sit.
We ordered the Crispy Chicken Supreme - southern fried chicken, bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, Betty's special sauce; and the Spicy Chicken - southern fried chicken, bacon, spicy pickles, lettuce, tomato, cheese, Sriracha mayo. We also ordered Corona beer to go with it.
The service was quick and friendly. Both burgers were juicy, with fresh ingredients. It wasn’t oily at all, and just loved the taste!
The Corona were both not chilled enough, and when I stated that to the staff, they were happy to replace them with very cold beers.. which I found very helpful!
Definitely coming back for more burgers!

Food was amazing I had the crispy chicken supreme burger. Customer service was very good all the workers were lovely and accommodating. One girl, Alessia who was working on the floor went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience.
M.
The burger is good but a little too salty for my taste. The onion rings is more flour than onions, but crispy. We have to chase up an order of chocolate peanut butter shake three times. The third time, the waitperson just pick up the drink from his cleaning station and hand it to us. Not sure how long it has been sitting there. We weren't the only one to have trouble with our order, another person asked for a refund because she had been waiting half an hour for her drink. In hindsight we should have followed her example and asked for a refund as the shake is way too sweet with no hint of peanut butter.
G. H.
Tasty burgers, served efficiently. Ingredients appeared fresh. Staff were very nice, especially having to cope with an the Covid thing. Really great place. Would recommend.
R. M.
I had their spicy Chicken burger and it was really good! The chicken filet was beautifully done and crispy. Nice soft bun. Can't wait to come back and try a beef burger.
E. r.
Really exceptional burgers! Also clean with wonderful service- my only very tiny complaint is that sauce for the fries isn’t complimentary and there wasn’t a sign reminding us that. We forgot to order some sauce for $1 and we really regretted it!!! We couldn’t go back and buy it because our fries would get cold. We got stuck- so don’t forget the sauce everyone! Considering how expensive the fries were ($5) the very least you could do is supply a packet of sauce- (you’re paying $10 for coke and chips) We thought that was very stingy. But taste and cleanliness of the store really impressed us. 5 star for taste!

Nice selection of burgers and desserts. Five stars if was writing this review a year ago. It used to be my burger shop of choice but they have recently dropped their quality. My last visit was quite disappointing as my burger had over fried bun with over cooked chicken in it. Fries were quite oily and salty. It felt quite heavy on stomach.
Place is usually crowded and you will have to wait in queue to get seated. Overall ambience is good and the place is neat and clean. They have good selection of desserts as well.
S. D. M.
Brought home a couple of Betty’s deluxe burgers. The soft buns were very delicious. Loved the Angus beef patty and crispy bacon. The trimmings consisting of pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, onion and cheese were such a great combination. And of course, to tie it all together, Betty’s special sauce. Service was cheery and it didn’t take too long for my order to be ready. Betty’s is a growing franchise and it’s clear it’ll be around for awhile!
T. L.
They have the best American style smash burgers by far. The burgers are incredibly delicious and their chips and onion rings in particular are great. Service is very quick considering how busy it can get.
L.
10/10 burgers! They were phenomenal. I can’t believe I haven’t visited this place sooner. If there is a line, it’s worth the wait.
F. M.
WOW best burger I've had in a while. Reasonably priced a fantastic thick shakes too
M. N.
Great looking place. Great Decor, great service, great looking food. Chips were super tasty. But the burgers were tiny, maybe 3-4 mouth-fulls and the same price as all the other burger places in the area. I was disappointed and left hungry.
Update- Went back for a second go... had the full stack. Amazing mushroom and cheese paddy with a meat paddy too. Much bigger burger. Still a little overpriced but super fresh ingredients and much more filling. Again, fantastic service and great vibe.
A. V.
Great food. I got the mushroom burger, I highly recommend. Customer service was lovely and the vibe was good. A special mention to Alessia, who served us while we were there.
V. K.
Amazing service!!! Great burgers. Incredible staff.
A. A.
Great burgers, very friendly and welcoming staff, at a perfect location. We had the original classic burger, the spicy chicken burger, fries, and onion rings. All burgers and sides exceeded our expectations. But their juicy classic burger was way beyond expectations.
If you are not sure what to order, go ahead and try their melt-in-your-mouth classic burger. Highly recommended, and will definitely go back soon.
L. S.
Cutest aesthetic for a Burger bar I've ever seen. Lowfi tunes were a nice touch. Shroom burger didn't disappoint👌
C. S. M. P.
Very average burgers , nothing special about the sauce except full of mayo and bread quality is poor.
Music way too loud to enjoy a meal and hygiene and cleanliness towards the bathroom in poor stage. Will give it a miss
C. T.
not bad burger with lots of pink and fun color of interior design. The waiter let us wait for our seat which there's tons of seats around which is a bit unreasonable or it is their way of making the impression of 'crow'. order 2 burger (bacon and beef ) burger . I personally prefer the beef burger as it taste better. Burger doesnt come cheap with drinks. They have another branch around town which there's no queue at ALL.
L. B.
Extremely kind staff that were very helpful and friendly. Burgers taste amazing, so happy that there's a vegan and vegetarian option as well as gluten free for those with dietary requirements! Will definitely be coming back
F. N.
I ordered the Crispy Chicken burger and it was really good. The chicken was crisp but juicy. I really enjoy their buns, they are super soft, and they always give a flavour of their own. The fries are in good amount, a great side option. I liked their Garden Salad as well it was refreshing. The Crispy Chicken burger on their menu is halal as well. Also they do ice creams and shakes which are equally yummy. The ambience of the restaurant is very warm and lit up. It's quite convenient to reach here so makes it a great place to catch up with your friends.
S. T.
I have been a fan of Betty's Burgers since queuing at their restaurant in Noosa a few years ago. The high-quality burgers and service was something other burger places could aspire to.
Sadly, home delivery isn't doing their food any justice, as you are at the mercy of the speed/care of the courier and the quality/heat retentiveness of packaging.
I ordered - Betty's Bundle 4 [$19.80] which consisted of:
Noosa Classic Surf, french fries and a drink.
The burger - Angus beef, lightly battered prawns, lettuce, tomato, cheese and their special sauce. It was tasty, and a filling serve, double wrapped and just right temperature-wise, to eat.
The chips - in a cup, not covered at all to keep the heat in, but put in their own, mostly open bag. They were cold. After I put them in the microwave, they were ok to eat. A decent serve and enough for one.
The drink - in a tall cup.
As I love their food, I cannot wait to re-visit their stores here and in Noosa, whenever that will be. I won't be ordering via a delivery service again as their food is too good to be ruined by them.
C. C. R.
A burger place with a good decoration located in the heart of the city. Plenty of selection with a reasonable price and fast serving. The system is we need to order in the counter, pay, then later pick our meal at the pick up station.
Betty's classic and pork belly were awesome. The onion ring tasted good as well. In short, I had a good brunch experience here.
L. B.
Amazing amazing amazing
I keep going back because I love their vegan burger so much as someone who doesn't eat dairy products. The vegan burger is so filling and tasty that you wouldn't be missing out on anything

I visited Betty’s Burgers and Concrete Co in Melbourne with my family. We ordered 2 salads, one with crispy chicken, a kids burger, a Betty’s Classic burger and French Fries. With drinks the total came to $58.
We were greeted by a pleasant lady who said it would be around 5 minutes for a table and brought cups of water for the children while we waited. Once we ordered at the counter we only had to wait around 10 minutes for our food to be prepared. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lively, with some cracking tunes from the 90’s playing in the restaurant.
The food itself was impressive. My eldest and wife had the salads and they were both really pleased and commented how nice they were. My youngest had the kids burger and enjoyed it, although didn’t quite manage to finish it as it is quite a large burger. I had the Betty’s Classic, and it is honestly THE best burger I have ever tasted!! I wasn’t expecting much, but the beef pate was soft and tender, cooked perfectly, the salad was fresh, the bun was tasty and the sauce was magical.
I would highly recommend to anyone, and I’m looking forward to visiting the restaurant in Sydney next week.
S. B.
I have always enjoyed having burgers from this place. They are definitely better than the stuff you get at mcd or HJ. Pretty upbeat atmosphere, with music and energetic crowd. Yeah.. Can get a bit load at times. However! The salad was disappointing. For 10 bucks, the salad was simply on a soft bed of lettuce with very few pieces of tomatoes and cucumbers. 5 dollar addition for grilled chicken on salad, still I found the quantity to be too small and annoying.
Service was fast and efficient. If you need to use a toilet, they give you the keys. The thing attached to the key is worth taking a pic.
M. R.
Went for a burger after a long day of bowling. Was very impressed by the taste and the friendly staff. I ordered the crispy chicken burger, the lemon raspberry concrete, both were very enjoyable. The only downside was the steep public holiday surcharge. Overall I would visit again, though probably not on another public holiday. Also please forgive the bite in the pictures, the food looked to good not to have a bite.
B. C.
We went in a group and placed a big order. It didn’t take much time for them to serve it. Waiters are very cooperative and fun loving people. You will have to stand in queue for couple of minutes during lunch time to secure a place. Burgers size looked small initially but were sufficient for lunch.
D. S.
Great atmosphere. Tasty burgers and fries.
K. [.
Ordered takeaway for pickup, Super busy but staff were amazing. Food doesn't dissapoint! And decent value. Will be back again to see what the dine in experience is like.
E. S.
Delicious burger. Solid chips but very good sauce. The dessert was pretty tasty but a let down compared to the excellent burger (it tasted a bit...cheap?). The wine was about as much as you can expect from a burger place. The reason this is a 5 star place is that it was very well priced for some of the best burgers I've had for a very reasonable (~$12) price. Lovely varsity American style atmosphere and music to match.
R.
Fantastic! Particularly loved my Bare Betty Burger with onion rings. Have drastically become my go-to place for comfort food. Wonderful staff. Kudos to Anna (Melbourne CBD) for the lovely service.
R. J.
Great place!
Love the look and food was quite good and the waitress that greeted and helped me was very professional and friendly ensuring all was good and that my experience was a positive one. Keep up the great work.
L. P.
If you're after a quick and cheap burger (in price not quality) go here. Better than the competition by miles (Grill'd, Mr Burger, etc). Will always recommend, just super tasty. And the GF/vegan bun is super soft and very good.
P. F.
Burger ok but we're a bit cold. Fries were just ok too. Thick shakes was nice. To be honest I was a bit disappointed considering the cost. Really paying a premium price for an average product.
J. R.
Really really friendly staff and a really cute and gorgeous style of decoration. The food was suuper delicious too (got a shroom burger and fries - both were amazing) Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice burger dinner~
S. A.
Came here for lunch with a work colleague. The young lady who greeted us at the door was very friendly and knowledgeable about our specific dietary considerations.
Got a seat immediately (it was around 2pm) and food came within 10 minutes of ordering.
We ordered some Classic Burgers and chips. The burgers were delicious - soft bun, flavoursome moist patty and a sauce to bind it all together. Chips were fresh and cooked to perfection.
Will definitely be going back.
T.
Beautiful atmosphere and great music. Friendly staff who are always there to help and our waitress Jennifer was lovely, always helping me out when I needed it.
Had the shrooms burger which was the tastiest burger I have ever had and the peanut butter milkshake was yum!
Tried their signature concrete icecream with toppings and it was delectable.

I had never heard of it before. I tried it & loved the burgers with my son & the chips were amazing OMG I will he back.
N. P.
Very good food, as tasty as their looks. Fantastic service, nice environment, centre of Melbourne. It tick ask the boxes without having to pay off the nose. As soon as the clock hit 12, Tthe queue to get in for bigger and bigger off to the road.
B. M.
Had a late lunch.
Was busy but ok.
Enjoyed the meal.
Better than I thought it would be.
Complimented with a Red 🍷.
Thanks.

Too much ado for a just average burger with a high price tag. We spent $36 for 2 burgers, 1 fries, 2 cokes and they even charge for the tomato sauce. Thus the ad about ‘place to eat under $10’ is misleading unless you chew a sandwich with water. The bun is industrial and the patty is thin and regular taste. My mushroom patty was overcook and nearly tasteless. I am generous with 3-stars for the venue and vibrant atmosphere. The (self-)service is OK. The presentation is noce bur charginf $1 for a tip of tomato sauce was too much.
A. L.
We had pulled pork burger and the crispy chicken burger with added cheese, onion rings and a sprite = $36. Burgers and onion rings were very tasty. Waited about 5.minutes for a seat at about 7pm. Service was good and not too long a wait for food to be ready. Ambience is ok, seats not the most comfortable.
F. G.
Can't be faulted at anything. Had Shroom - mushroom burger and Betty's classic - cheeseburger. Buns were perfect brioche, sweet and crisply toasted with butter. Patty was tasty. Fried mushroom patty with melted cheese was fantastic. Chips was thin and crispy. Peanut Butter Brittle on top of creamy and smooth Chocolate Ice Cream was divine. Had a really perfect Sunday lunch after church.

Best burgers I’ve ever had in my entire life!!!
I thought there won’t be anything above In&Out or Shakeshack, but I’ve been fooled my entire life!!!🙀🙀🙀 Also you must try their milk shake too~ 클래식이랑 디럭스 꼭 드셔보세요👍 존나 맛있음///👊👊👊

American style burgers and frozen custard (read soft serve ice cream) with mix ins...
This place is hugely popular at lunch with long times to enter most work days...
Stopped by one afternoon to try an early dinner and see what the fuss was about.
The burgers were ok, I had a pork belly burger which was tasty and a generous serve. My partner had a standard American burger he said it was ok.
Drinks they have alcohol as well as softer drinks and thick shakes.
The chocolate shake was thick and very chocolate rich...
Overall I see the attraction but I am not convinced its worth waiting to get in.
Service is a bit odd. Kinda table service, kinda go up and order. A guy who was close to our area was keen to collect our food for us however most people had to collect their meals at the window.
The facade is clean and tidy however once you leave the area to go to the bathroom you are confronted with a very different situation. The back hallway was dirty with grime and paper towels and rubbish on the floor. There was a hole punched in the wall of the toilet and these were not kept in a clean fashion at all. It was a very different experience compared to the restaurant.
Overall the burgers are good but I am not sure I’d wait longer than 10 minutes when there are plenty of other burger places in a 2 block radius.
D.
Betty's burgers is still the best go to, non fast food burger to go to. Awesome shakes and fries to pair with. You can't go wrong. Keep up the crisp patties and soft buns guys!
L. A.
The place has a wonderful style of decor. Food was delicious! I ordered the Classic Stack, which combined their original Betty's Burger with the Shroom Burger. The place also has a nice vibe to it. Located right on the main street, it'll be hard to miss!
A. P.
Simply the best burger in Melbourne! The ambience is very nice to dine. The staffs were super nice! The burger is amazing! Meat is juicy! Bun is tasty! Each bite makes you wanting more! Ordered Betty's Classic and thw chicken samdwhich, both are amazing! Super good!
L. P.
Some of the best burgers and Fries I've had in a long time! The peanut butter milkshake tied the whole meal together and the atmosphere was really great. We had to wait 30 minutes and they dont take bookings. I'd probably reccomend getting take away as you can skip the line and still have a good feed.
Y.
For those on a diet, try the Bare Betty burger. It's a classic burger without the bun. It's a bit messy but still yummy 😊
A. M.
Really impressed with this place, a great service set up and the store looks great. But more importantly, the burgers (beef and chicken) are really great although very heavy on the sauce. Not really a bad thing, just something to note. The concretes and shakes are awesome, too.
A. T.
I went to Betty’s with my sister for dinner on a week night. It was very busy, which I’d expect after reading other reviews, but we got a table pretty quickly.
I had the mushroom & beef burger with fries and my sister got the beef burger with a lettuce ‘bun’.
For dessert, I got the lemon cheesecake concrete for dessert and my sister got the peanut brittle.
They were all incredibly delicious, I’m so glad I got the beef and mushroom double stack.
There are two reasons why I didn’t give them five stars:
1. Everything is served in disposable, single use packaging. While this is expected for take away, we dined in - not even the tray was reusable! And there was so much extra, unnecessary packaging on everything. This was really disappointing in 2019, I definitely expect better - even McDonald’s has reusable trays, plates and mugs!
2. My sister is wheat free so had to be careful with her dessert order. The allergen listing menu at Betty’s is GREAT - so helpful and clear to read. However, there’s so many staff working at Betty’s behind the counter and a lot of them don’t know what’s in the food - my sister had swapped the peanut brittle to a peanut butter cup and told them when ordering it’s because she’s wheat free - no issues. When she started eating the dessert, there was an unexpected crunch - she went back to make sure they’d swapped out the brittle and it took SIX different employees to figure it out as nobody knew. She finally managed to get to someone who realised there was a wafer flake-thing in the peanut brittle combo that wasn’t listed on the menu. The allergen menu is only so great if your staff actually know what’s in the food they’re making!
Not sure I’d go back, which is a pity.
T. A.
Lovely experience at Elizabeth st. CBD. We were both so impressed with Chrissy's professionalism. Chrissy made the whole experience even more enjoyable as we noted her attention to detail and overall management of staff and customers. A very efficient operator that we felt compelled to actually give Chrissy the feedback prior to leaving. All the best with northland. Be sure to come out there once we can.
J. M.
The burgers and fries were seriously amazing! I will be craving them until the Adelaide branch opens. The decor is really fun and lovely. Minus a star purely because of the rush to order and that the music was just so loud.
A. W.
Really good burger. Simple menu. I had the classic and I have to say, way better than the Big Mac like burgers from royal stacks up the road. Very glad a place like this is around. Have to come back and try the concrete!
K. W.
Shroom burger was delicious, though the gooey cheesy inside of the burger patty can burn your mouth. Fries arrived fairly cold though.
M. O. (.
Busy on a Friday night but worth the small wait. We turned up at 6.30pm (parking isn't far away, and public transport is exceptionally close) and got greeted by someone at the door with a menu and another staff member as we walked in who cheerfully explained the menu to us in detail. After a few minutes we ordered and were show to a spot by the window. 1 caramel milkshake, 1 beer, 2 deluxe classic's with a mushroom patty added to both, onion rings, and fries at $70 wasn't bad at all. I was a little worried about serving sizes as I looked around, and I was tempted to double up my already upgraded burger (I can eat), but ended up being glad I didn't. I could have fit in the extra extras, but after getting one of their frozen custards and leaving to go to a concert it was probably for the best haha
More of a McDonalds (but much much much higher quality) or Easey's style burger rather than Ziggy's or Local burger co. Still, it was delish and I'm happy to have demolished it. Definitely recommend if you're peckish in the city.
J.
Average quality burger, a bit better than Mac Donald.
I can’t accept to pay $1 for tomato sauce and $3 for a small aioli sauce
Order and pick up at the counter
F. C.
Love this place and their burgers! One of my fave burger joints in Melbourne.
There's just something special about Betty's Classic, the beef patty and sauce is simply amazing.
The shroom patty is yummy as well, a must-have for mushroom lovers! If you're eyeing the Classic + Shroom combi, it's a fantastic choice!
The Bare Betty is great to have on the menu, it may sound strange to most but plenty of burger enthusiasts are ordering theirs without buns.
Atmosphere, location and service are all great, suitable for small groups.
T. C.
A solid place for a good burger without feeling overly greasy if that's not your type! Download the app and order through that to get some good deals, even if you're dining in! Overall a great place with fresh produce and ingredients for your burger. Made fresh to order, each burger is definitely made with care.
Betty's Burger Classic 5/5 - Good price. Well seasoned patty, pairs nicely with the cheese, lettuce and tomato. Patty was not greasy. Delicious classic burger as it should be.
Onion Rings 4/5 - nicely seasoned, good crispiness, but a little on the over fried for some, so slightly burnt.
Fries 4/5 - good and very generous portion of fries. Well fried. Good soft inside with crispy outside. Nothing too out of the ordinary but a good side to have.
Overall definitely would come for a good burger! Would love to try their other options, particularly their chicken burger (looks very good) and the shroom!
L. C.
Super tasty burger for an awesome price! Their basic is only $10 however spend the extra $5 for pickles and bacon! The juicy beef patty and special sauce go so well together. Taking a star off as the chips are pretty average imo, unless u like small skinny fries. Sauce is also a paid extra. Didn't try the deserts however they look amazing!
L. C. K.
Nice place to catch up with friends. Only had some drinks but the menu looks tasty!
M.
Really good burgers, chips were a bit forgettable. Plan to go back to try the ice cream as I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their milkshakes. Can be a bit crowded and the que to order can be long depending on the time of day. Food is quick to be served. Appears as though it would be table service (getting shown a seat) but you order and collect food from the counters. Lovely vibe inside with all the fairy lights. Would be happy to go again.
E. D.
They're pretty quick with the orders despite the queue. Their young staff are doing a good job. Atmosphere is not bad, love their pork belly burger. Their concretes are nice too. All in all, worth the visit and wait.
K. L.
The amazing classic beef burger with juicy thick meat and fresh vegetables. Even though it was A$10 still worth the queue!! 😙😋 But milk shake was not worth paying A$8.
M. b. H.
We decided to go and try Betty's Burger & Concrete on a Friday night (bad idea).
Estimated time to find a table for 6 was 15 minutes and in that regards we were seated exactly within that time frame. It has to be said though that the entire process wasn't well organised and at one stage were offered 1 single tiny round table for 6 people 😣.
The order system also was confusing and not functional: one by one orders with alarm clock boxes given to collect your food when ready; so all our meals came out at different times.
We ordered one of each of their burgers as well as onion rings and chips. The buns were too thin, soggy and oily, meanwhile the meat itself was cooked well and was okay. Overall the burgers were nothing special but they did the job, however the prices are on the higher side compared to our top 3 burgers places in Melbourne.
I want to mention an appreciation towards all their staff who were very young, hard working and passionate: great to see our youth under this light, well done!

Had a craving for a burger so decided to come here as I was in the area. Ordered the classic and the patty was moist and delicious, though the sauce was a tad sweet. The onion rings were good, being battered and fried individually.
Also had the lemon cheesecake and it was good too. Prices were quite reasonable for the quality.
S. O.
It gets pretty busy at dinner time but wait times are not usually too long. Really nice burgers and shakes, fairly reasonably priced as well.
E. K.
Outstanding burgers. Little pricey but happy to pay for their burgers. Only chips are little disappointing (amount & quality).
M. M.
Awesome burger in CBD!!
The taste was really juicy and fresh.
The customer service was so good which is super friendly and attentive!!
Wanna try to have other burger there next time!!
A. H.
Good burgers similar to Shake Shack from the US. Juicy flavoursome beef patties but mushroom patty was a little too salty. Overall great burgers with a nice selection of milk shakes and ice creams to accompany. Gets busy quick too but attentive and friendly staff are quick to help.
B. C.
Best burgers in town. Period.
If you don't know what to eat, go with the classic. Their burgers are a little on the small side so those with bigger appetites may wanna get the classic stack which I was pleasantly surprised turned out very good because the shroom patty has mushroom slices+sauce and cheese and tastes great.
If I had to have something I didn't like, it's the attitude the owners have towards customers. They aren't very happy with you lingering after your meal. Don't take my word for it, just observe them.
I understand that space is limited and they have their right to move people along but it's just not a nice feeling yea?
Would normally give 4/5 for this kind of behavior but the burgers are just too good.
D. H.
A great place to have burgers with friends. I like the interior design here.

Restaurant tried by accident!
I ordered a classic Burger, I must say it is very good and the presence of the onion is very marked, so who doesn't like much, i don't recommend it.
The location is very pretty with excellent decorations and accommodation.
One thing that gave me some annoyance was the excessive volume of music.
Also the bathrooms are not hygienic, they can focus on the beauty of the location, but not on the bathrooms.
All in all the staff was very friendly.
M. N.
Bun was a tad cold when received. However remained super soft throughout. Patty was cooked leaving inside still slightly pink however was a tad dry. The sauce however did make up for it, making it an overall delicious burger. Would come back.
A. G.
Looks good and taste good. Onion rings definitely are my favorite but chips seems a little soft to me. The best part is all the food is fresh and not greasy or oily.
F. S.
This restaurant is always busy and have a nice decoration. The price of burger is reasonable. But for the chips & drink, it's a little expensive. To be honest, food are ordinary, thick shake is ok but not thick enough.
A. P.
Shakes and burgers were good just not amazing. The spicy chicken was not spicy at all, onion rings were light.
Doubled up my burger which made it more a reasonable size.
Ordering and table situation is weird but it was working on a busy Saturday.
Staff were friendly and helpful.
S. E.
Good honest and unpretentious burger. Soft breads and beef patties and chicken was very well done! had the classic and chicken burger. The onion rings was nice and crispy and sriracha mayo was delicious. Loved everything we had here. The concretes were solid.
J.
Beef burgers are better than chicken burgers! Just get fries if you’re thinking to go for a salad instead! The atmosphere is not perfect for friends hangout because it’s really noisy with full of people!
G. S.
The entrance to this place looks really inviting and the atmosphere inside is really nice.
The actual concept escapes me...
You line up while a table is free and the Maître D gives you a menu. You can't actually grab a seat and have a drink while you wait, but you actually have to stand up at the entrance... Once there's a table available, you proceed towards the order counter and make your order (a quick and painless process). You're then given a buzzer, which you take with you to the table. The super annoying thing is that with all 3 orders, our buzzers went off separately for each part of the order - once for your Burger and Fries, once for your Drink, and once for your Concrete (sundae). So, you need to get up and go to the pickup counter each time - it's rather frustrating and peculiar that they can't just have it all ready at once.
The food... I had their classic burger and it was packed with flavour. That said, at $10, it's expensive for what it is as it simply isn't enough. You either need $5 fries or $6 onion rings (or both), or maybe just a second burger (at which point the whole exercise becomes quite expensive).
I didn't try a milkshake, but had a Raspberry Cheesecake Concrete (sundae), which was quite nice, but at $8 it's, once again, on the pricey side.
They do have a few beers on tap as well as cider and wine - all very reasonably priced.
Overall, it's a cool joint to try out once, but I doubt it that I'll return considering there are far better choices in Melbourne. (3.5 stars is more accurate)
C. E.
The best burger I’ve had in a very long time!! Great meat to bun ratio with the classic that I demolished. Trendy and lively decor/atmosphere. 10/10 would come back 😍
A. M.
Limited supply is unfortunately true of the lobster burgers!! Completely devastated by the lack of at 7.20 but grateful for the Shiraz and Angus burger as well as the cheerful team providing service.
P. R.
Very affordably priced burgers with tons of flavour. The softest burger buns I've had in a while. Also, the Shroom burger is definitely a high recommendation!
I. S.
Very good burgers! We went here twice and enjoyed it very much on both times. On the first time, I had the veggie burger with portobello mushroom which was delicious, and on the second time I had a regular burger which was excellent as well. Fries were also very good. We also tried the chocolate milkshake which was yummy. Very good service and good vibe.
J. C.
Cute vibe, serve yourself and order at counter type of restaurant. Both burger and lobster roll are delicious. No combo available.
F. B.
Best burger in town. Worth every penny ❤️❤️
J. m.
Ordered the Betty's deluxe with an extra patty, onion rings and fries...could not have gone better.
The patty's were cooked to perfection, nice char on the outside, moist in the middle with just the right amount of grease. The cheese was melted beautifully and the salad kept it fresh.
The bun integrity stayed true the whole way through the meal which is a must in a quality burger.
Definitely one of THE BEST burgers going round, that combined with the great friendly staff and quick service I will definitely be back soon, again and again.
NAILED IT BETTY'S!!
F. T.
This is our first time and we totally loved it .. we told them we need halal burgers n they take care of everything ..
Definitely go back there again
A. Z.
Great burgers and concretes! The staff were super friendly and helpful in explaining the halal options to us - so we had two crispy chicken burgers (but swapped them out with the halal grilled chicken) and two classic burgers to share among five people.
L. X.
Delicious burgers! Very juicy beef patty and delicious combination of toppings. Definitely recommend the stack and getting a thick shake, also the chips are pretty good too! Do recommend a visit here if you're into burgers!
A. M.
Probably best burguers in town. I love it. We ordered the thick fries (deluxe) and then 2 thicksakes (caramel is delicious)
M. B.
Got the Shroom Burger with some onion rings and siracha mayo. The Burger was good although a the bun was a little too sweet, but thats sort of expected with brioche type buns. The shroom patty itself was good for the most but towards the last couple of bites got a bit salty. Onion rings were good too nice and crispy, siracha mayo was sweeter than expected however I liked it better than the special sauce they had.
Be sure to get here ahead of time the line at lunch time gets pretty big, the service it great though staff is friendly and food comes out pretty quick.
One time thing for me personally but i'd go again to try their milkshakes maybe :)
A. M.
Sooo I think they brine their chicken, it's so juicy and moist and the crunch on the exterior I'm in heaven. The spicy chicken burger is barely spicy but that doesn't matter still one of the nicest sauces I've had on chicken burger. Absolute chicken burger perfection. Congrats.
H. K.
Great burgers and shakes at amazing prices!
Staff went above and beyond accommodating us even during the busy lunch period.
Highly recommended!
S. R.
These Burgers are the goods.....
Very Shake Shack in style, which is such a great thing. Smash patties, great melt on the cheese, and delicious sauce. Quality burgers.
The concrete was pretty awesome too.
Service was very good. So friendly. John helped us out, had great advice and recommendations. Thanks John.
Will most definitely be going back. One of the best burgers I have had in Melbourne
A. C.
Coming from America, this is the best burger I’ve found! Pure beef taste with no extra fills. Reminds me of an ‘in-and-out’ type burger :)
If you want a good American style burger, this is it! The price is pretty high for a burger but I think that’s something I’m going to have to get used to as I’ve been to most burger places in Melbourne and the going price is $10-15 no matter where you’re at.
N. V.
Really good burgers! Been here twice and would definitely go back again. Had the spicy chicken burger. Perfect levels of spice and softness for a burger. The place has ample seats. Service was great!
M. Z.
Very nice place to eat. We were a large group, but they made it possible to sit at one table.
Although it’s self-service Shannon was very helpful and even served our burgers at the table.
Reasonable prices for great quality.
Expect short waiting times around dinner time but nothing to serious. It’s worth the wait.
J. B.
Surprisingly good burgers, chips and you must try their dessert cups.
A. “. L.
It's the little things that takes a burger from good to great, at Betty's the burgers are brilliant in every little detail, from the perfectly toasted bun, tasty fillings, the freshly cooked meat and a great shake selection. In addition, the interior is beautiful. If i had a critique is that If i'm really hungry the burgers and meals aren't as filling as other burger places however, defiantly give this place a go if your a burger fan, but if you want to dine in expect a wait, or go when they are not packed.
c. k.
The burger tastes so crispy on the edge and juicy at the middle. It worths trying. However, the frech fries are a bit salty. But the whole enviroment is so girly and nice to take photo.
R. S.
So much hype about this place, but never tried it until today. Seeing how busy they are very time I walk past and heard good reviews, thought I should give it a try.
Had the shroom burger and onion rings. The mushroom patty was pretty good, however the buns were too sweet to my liking and became soggy from the sauce. It was pretty messy tbh. Onion rings pretty good, again, I can taste the sweetness on the batter.
Will I come back? Not sure, probably, but not anytime soon.
A. K.
The best burgers I’ve tried so far in Melbourne. Amazing juicy and tasty. Don’t miss the Shroom (mushroom) burger. Its Amaaazing 🤩Staff is super friendly.
Can’t wait to make it my go to place.
N. M.
Great burgers and sides! If you’re familiar with Betty’s, Betty’s Melbourne offers a consistent experience. If you’ve never been, be prepared for fresh, tasty, original burgers - no pub-style burgers here!
E. W.
Hands down the best burgers I have ever had!! Also the shakes are a must! So thick and full of flavour! Need to go back ASAP!
A. L.
Lovely staff and amazing food. I consider myself a hamburger afficionado and always search for good burgers whenever I go. Betty's Burguer has a simple yet incredibly tasty burguer and the fries are also amazing. Had it twice during the trip and would have more if I had the time
K. W.
My favorite used to be huxtavurger and Andrew's burger, now it's Betty's!!!! The patties are sooo juicy! If you're a big eater you better get two. The serving size isn't small but it's not as big as Andrew's.
J. H.
Efficient and friendly staff.. most importantly i love the buns of the burgers here. I am not a heavy taster, so i reckon opting out for the sauces if you are just having burgers. The classic and the crispy chicken were really good.
E. S.
What an awesome little burger joint. Especially good is for my keto/ LCHF friends is the Bare Betty. Bunless burger. Clean and tidy and very friendly staff who even smile for the google review picture.
S. P.
One place I would definitely go for a Friday night hang out. I ordered a Betty's Deluxe because it had the Betty's Special Sauce, customised concrete which apparently they are famous for, and a caramel milk shake. It kinda felt like the Pops Diner from the Archie's comics(in a good way, not the way it's shown in Riverdale 😅 no offense to Riverdale fans out there.)
R. G.
The burgers and milkshakes (peanut butter & strawberry) were delicious! Place get filled quickly, expect a queue during lunch hours. We ordered sides and drinks to share.
J. W.
The service was absolutely amazing. All the staff were amazing. Food was lovely. Just as shout out to Chrissy & Anika. 10/10 ladies. 🙂
N.
Really nice atmosphere. Lively and happy vibes. Quick service. Lovely accommodating staff. Burgers are great. Perfectly cooked and balanced flavours. Great menu, would have loved a couple more burger options. Will be going back for more 👌
S. B. W.
Very cozy and welcoming environment. Loved their seatings for one and enjoyed the Southern Crispy Burger. It is pretty pricey though. It's in the city so I suppose that's why the price is high. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars
D. “. S.
Awesome burger joint. Had the classic stack. Was Devine. Got it with fries and peanut butter thickshake. The thickshake was surprisingly tasty... Top 5 burger joints I have tried. Highly recommended.
Y. S.
I love the burgers and the ambience. Also, staffs were very helpful.
B. K.
Delicious burger, a tiny bucket of French fries and a tasty thick strawberry shake. One of my favourite burger's place.
e. m.
amazing service, food came within 10 mins, best burger i’ve ever eaten
E. C.
It’s the best burger in town! No doubt ! You must eat in. The milkshake for me is too sweet but people love it. The fries and the onion ring are very delicious!!! Must try the classic and the mushroom burger as well!!!!!!
P. S.
My partner and I came here for a quick stop in our day and while there was a wait for a seat, it was only a few minutes, and the alternative ordering/seating style was explained well by their wait staff.
The burger was absolutely delicious, the bun was crispy the salad fresh and full of flavour.
I would definitely come back for the good food and friendly service
M. F.
First time I've tried a bit of Betty and she was good. Will go see her again ;)
Ps. the ice cream portion was really small for the price.
I.
The person that took my order was amazing they where very nice and we had a difficult meal and she did great
M. L.
Love the burger! The chips were great, not at all salty and the onion rings were yum (though wish they had more).
V. J.
Average burger place.
We had two burgers and they were just okay. The pork one was pretty bad and probably the one that dropped this review. Fries a bit too salty and low quality ones. I cannot understand the hype.
However the place and the atmosphere are more than great and the staff, nice.
Wouldn’t come back.
D. L.
It was a different experience lining up for seat and then ordering. But our food was pretty quick so I guess that method works. Burgers were great but the Thick-shake wasn't great and the Fries were cold.
J. A.
Really tasty hamburgers w/ sides in a funky restaurant.
PRO
- Burgers are tasty and we'll priced
- Big and small tables including intimate alcove w/ more privacy for a couple
- 'concrete' is a type of ice cream desert - very sweet
- Staff are attentive & polite
CON
- Sides are expensive
- All condiments cost $
Went for dinner Sat night at 7pm. After a short wait (10mins) we had a table. My friend and I were in a small alcove so it was easy to talk w/out loud music. There are long table for bigger groups, which is great too.
Burgers were really tasty, all ingredients were fresh. Bun was brioche style - I had the classic stack which was well proportioned.
My only qualm was the sides - at $5 for a side of fries. Which were just like Maccas fries w/ a different seasoning.
b. n. f.
I actually love this place so much 😍 amazing burgers and such great pricing
V. C.
Ordered the classic (gf bun) caramel concrete and fries. All tasty with great service. I particularly enjoyed the way the beef patty is grilled crisp on one side 😋
P. D.
Very busy at lunchtime but was served and seated quickly. Nice staff. The burger and onion rings were very tasty but a little greasy for my liking. Would recommend for a quick bite.
C. d. J. (.
Nice tasting burgers and quirky place but value for money is a little low and the system for lining up and ordering seems a bit odd. Still, compared to other places in the city, still worth a visit.
G. W.
That's a really good burger. Added fries (without seasoning) which were still lightly salted.
This is a really busy place at lunch but it's worth stopping in to try it out. I'll be back!
S. F.
The burgers seemed normal but the taste was out of this world. Try the mushroom burger too it's really creamy and saucy. They have concrete which are kinda icecream shakes, totally bevel level stuff. God now I'm craving Betty's again
A. M.
Wow! Everything is awesome, no wonder this place always busy. I try the crispy pork burger and instantly fall in love with this food, the bun very soft and the stuff very juice and yummy. Perfect!
h. v. b.
Very good burger. Good service and friendly staff.
M. R.
Stevie was super friendly Saturday night and made my experience great :-) Will deffs come back!!
J. B.
Great quality burgers. Gets quite busy. Staff are accommodating.
S. P.
Tasty burgers. Great portions. Friendly staff.
K. N.
The service was really good, staff were friendly.
I got the mushroom burger and it tasted great but was a bit too greasy for me personally.
Would definitely recommend 'Betty's Special Sauce' 😍
T. J.
Does not take booking, make sure all party members are there else they won't seat you. Had the crispy chicken supreme burger and strawberry thick shake. Thick shake was pretty good and the burger was very average.
H. S.
So so good and tasty!!! Service is great and your not waiting long for food! Can be a line but moves super quick! Dani who served and seated us, she is brilliant!
Recommend very highly that you try this place!
V. L.
Service was amazing even after a fire alarm in the building next door. Food was quick and tasty, and the staff were wonderful. Definitely would come back - perfect for a first date!
J. H.
Had some dietary requirements in our group and staff was incredibly helpful in assisting and making sure everything was ordered and irritated correctly
B. L. (.
Phat burgers, great taste. Love the decor minus the unstable metal baby high chairs they have going on there but quick service and friendly staff 🙌 try the special sauce 🤙
P. D. G.
Every time I visit Melbourne, I make sure I stop by Betty's! On my most recent visit, I didn't have time to pop in so I ordered Betty's Burgers from Uber Eats... as we all know, the quality of your food after it's been riding on an Uber drivers bike is always questionable but my burger was PERFECT! Just as good as in store! The Shroomy Burger is a MUST HAVE! It's okay to eat the same meal 3 days in a row isn't it? I've never had the concrete that Bettys offer but the burgers, chips and onion rings are always amazing!
D. P.
Extremely low quality thick chips for $7
Mashroom burger was amazing though.
R. D.
Funky American dinner style burger house with some the tastiest burgers going around. Definitely worth the wait.
C. V.
Betty's Burgers are pretty good! Nice soft bun, Really nice Beef! I really enjoy the Burgers from here, also the onion rings are awesome, but you don't get many in a serve, Betty's Burgers is a bit over priced I'm usually still hungry after eating here unless I spend big which shouldn't be necessary when buying a burger..
A. C.
Consistent! They're the best burgers I have had in all of Melbourne ♥️
K. D.
Amazing burgers!! And incredible concrete desserts 😍 fun atmosphere and friendly staff would definitely recommend
E. M.
Great burger, fries and shake. Can't fault the food at all, service was also good. Is pretty busy on a Friday night if you go at dinner time, so maybe keep that in mind if you're not a fan of waiting in lines.
H. L.
A great place! I'm glad they had some local beer, but would appreciate more than one vegetarian option - the cheese + mushroom patty was tasty but very heavy
F. V.
My partner's favourite burger place. Cool decor, reasonable prices, juicy burgers.
T. D.
Betty’s Classic Deluxe with fries and Sriracha mayo plus a cheeky beer. It hit the spot. Great flavours and the perfect size. Will be back!!! 🍔 🍟 🍺 😁
E. J.
Delicious Burger and friendly staff that checks on you whether the food is good.
H. N.
My everytime go-to-burger in Melbourne. You know you can’t go wrong with the good ole Betty’s classic and fries.
g. p.
Burger was so under cooked it was bloody didn't eat
Milkshake was so good going back for another
M. T.
Always love visiting Bettys when we're in the city! Great food and really friendly staff
M. H.
Oh yes eating in at Bettys again
😋 yummy...am pleased to see it open and busy mostly still take away
W.
Betty Burger originaly comes from Noosa, Brisbane and their first branch opened in the corner of Elizabeth street, Melbourne CBD.
This burger shop is considerably very spacious.
The interior design is very funky, modern, young and bright.
The vibe and atmosphere in this burger shop was very nice, cosy with the nice background music.
When we arrived to Betty's Burger, we're greeted by the friendly and cheerful customer staff.
We went with a group of 10 people, actually they didn't have long table to cater 10 people but somehow they made it happen by setting up the table enough for us.
We ordered Shroom Burger (Crisp fried mushroom filled with melted Gouda and Gyureye cheese, lettuce, tomato, with Betty's special sauce) for $12.00 and
french fries (sea salt seasoning) for $5.00.
It's perfect option especially if you're a vegan and mushroom lover.
The burger used brioche bun which was fluffy and compliment well with the filling, musroom and homemade sauce.
All ingredients were made fresh (lettuce, tomato).
It was a decent size and value.
The mushroom was firstly deep fried, the texture was look like the beef patty.
Though it was crispy and crunchy from outside, the mushroom was very tender and juicy inside.
It was absolutely recommended when you have a chance to come to this burger shop.
The french fries was served warm, crispy and perfectly seasoned with generous portion.
It was absolutely a perfect companion to have french fries with burger.
Overall, we had a really great time having burger in Betty's burger and definitely will come back to try other burgers and of course with their classic french fries on the side.
Price: 3.0
Taste: 4.5
Speed: 3.0
Service: 4.5
Yay: Shoom Burger, French fries
Nay: N/A
K. T. L.
The bettty's classic burger and crispy chicken burger was so delicious. Don't miss it when you're nearby there. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
H. V.
Ordered a Betty’s Classic Burger for $10 and it was very good! Super friendly staff & fast service.
E. G.
Great burgers but really loud so not the best place for a date
F. T.
In a good central location, Betty's Burgers offers a variety of deliciously made Burgers , Hot Dogs, Soft Drinks, Beer and Shakes.
The Staff are friendly and the place is always busy.
A. G.
Very good burger!
Bun too soft and soggy, did not hold the hole toppings.
S. T.
Great burgers and I love the onion rings and shakes. Has a really good mushroom burger option for vegetarians too.
R. Y.
Good gluten free bun. Bit expensive. $45 for 2 x gluten free burgers, 1 x fries and 1 x drink.
B. C.
* Edit
Standards are slipping crew! Please get back in control of your portioning, these burgers should have solid architectural and shape integrity and be saucy but not sloppy. Please get it back under control 🙏
Closest thing to and perhaps even better than Shake Shack
R. J.
Good burgers, service is excellent, chill atmosphere, a bit pricey though.
Y. G.
Long wait before we could get a table. But the burgers are alright. Not worth the money though as it was too small.
S. H.
Burgers taste so good, if you want to get a sauce that's 2$ extra which is a bit expensive
E. P.
Service is a little slow but it’s worth the wait, pricey for a burger place but surprisingly very filling, will come again for sure.
ʞ. D.
Think In-N-Out mixed with Culver’s. If you don’t know what those are, then just know this place is pretty good. Not the best burger around, but it’s pretty good for the price. Would recommend.
Y. P.
I love their burgers! Very very delicious
P. T.
REALLY Nice and juicy burger (i ordered betty's classic) but defo need more improvement on onion rings. (Its cold and tasteless. If you really wanna order it, rmb to add on sauce)
G. H.
Great spot for a burger and more. Always busy and always good.
Atmosphere is great and staff are friendly.
G. W.
Nice decadent greasy burgers. Perhaps too greasy? Fries were on point.
A. M.
We've only ever had good experiences at Bettys. While neither my partner and I can lay claims on being burger experts, she had the spicy chicken and I had the classic stack(a combination of the standard Betty's and a Shroom burger). The buns are excellent, the pattys juicy and done right and the sides of the correct quantity. Also worth mentioning about are the thick shakes - the chocolate and pb is our usual and is consistently delicious. Conclusion - you can bank on Betty's for your cheat meal!
N. E. L.
Nice juicy burgers. Shakes are amazing there
A. T.
Burger was perfect and juicy. Service was average. No complaints.
C. O.
Ordered a Betty's Double burger, tasted terrific. Next time I'll go with a Betty's Classic, seems to be a more suitable portion size. Great service too!
M. R.
First time there, was not disappointed. Great food and lovely staff.
f.
Exactly what you want. Tasty, juicy burger. Crisp, hot fries.
p. r.
The excellence of burgers.. amazing, just not filled with sauces when compared to other types of burgers, this just had the ingredients filled with flavour. Staff are friendly and amazing environment. Thanks guys.
R. S.
The great halal burger in Melbourne. This restaurant always full with it loyal customer. Their staff so patient to brief and take an order to newly costumer like us. Very like how their treat us. The burger's patty so authentic and tender. For sure will come again if pay visit Melbourne.
C. L.
Burger was lovely. I'm dreaming of going back soon. It was a pleasant lunch in the diner style fitout.
j. s.
Amazing burguers, sauce and meat quality was incredible.
Gluten free bread looked even better than the normal bread.
A. M. A.
Burgers are delicious and amazing. They have a keto friendly burger which is always great. The decor is beautiful but tables can feel too small and the tall chairs are fairly uncomfortable and shakey. Serving sizes are fair but can cost up to the high teens.
A. H. N.
Great burgers, you can easily say with the first bite ...a bit expensive though but meat quality is great
v. s.
Do it! :D try ALL the burger places in Melbourne :D the mushroom one here has cheese sandwiches inbetween two large mushrooms! The Classic stack had this mushroom part and cheese atop beef, and lettuce/tomato/etc. :D loved it! Best shroom burger in Melbourne!
K. M.
Nice burgers. .a little on the expenaive side. Place can get really busy so get their early if you go at lunch on a weekday
S. A.
Delicious burger I have ever had and also love the ambience.
D. S.
The lobster burger had too little lobster for the price though the overall quality was good, but I wouldn't get it again.
B. K.
Great and delicious burgers. Very tasty.
L. G.
Delicious man. And a little cheaper than YOMG if you stick to the basic burgers. And really tasty chips
H. Z.
unrivalled tasty burgers, i have always wondered why people line up at Elizabeth Street Melbourne to get in Betty's burger for some hamburgers. now i know why.
T. A.
Burger is great. Clearly all the condiments are fresh and the patty is juicy and flavorsome. The buns however are soggy on the outside.
P. F.
Always is amazing. Been here a few times and it's always a great experience. Burgers are so good. Will definitely return.
S. K.
Burger was just the right size and tastes great!! Strawberry shake was gorgeous!!
C. M. (. O.
Great service. Reasonable prices.
GF and veg options avalible.
Concrete Great fun desserts.
C. M.
Great food but surprisingly pricey for fast food.
N. T.
Looks lively on the corner and has a fun vibe inside. The shroom burger is a good veg option but a bit greasy for me.
T. m.
Deliciously tender with the freshest of ingredients. Not too oily and just the right portion size. Don't worry about the service, the millenials have got it under control.
S.
Their reputation as one of the best burger joints is well-deserved. Tried the classic beef burger with french fries and was thoroughly satisfied. Cute decor, low frills service, delicious food. Eager to try the chicken burger next.
R. C.
Great diner atmosphere but the place is very overrated. There burger are fresh and the shroom patty is a must try although I find the fries quality to be average. Their milkshake is also very good and the price is actually decent. There’s a long queue though at Dinner hence I don’t go there too often.
P. S.
A bit overpriced for what it is. After you order your sides separately the cost adds up.
Asked for onions and sauce to be removed from burgers for kids when I ordered and request not followed.
Shakes were great but at $8 a pop!?
2.
I liked the atmosphere busy. Food came out in about 5 minutes. Good music.
T. C.
Delicious burgers from Queensland franchise. Tasty patties that aren't too greasy
J. T.
Had the loviest server today by the name of Taylor? My apologies if I spelt their name wrong. So kind and was always checking on us to see if everything was alright. 10/10 service and would love to come back soon :)
C. C.
Very tasty burgers! Love the layout and decor. Book for lunch and dinner time, or you could have a bit of a wait. Takeaway available.
P. E.
Tasty burgers, good range and value. Toilet facilities are very, very poor.
B.
Daughter took me there saying these guys made a special burger. Gee, she wasn’t wrong! Greeted by a young lady handing out their menus, we were sat within 2 minutes waiting. The burgers we all ordered were so different to most I’ve eaten. They were just perfect. Great feed .
S. M.
Good casual place. Staff is good and cheerful. Nice tasty shroom veggie burger. Not so great or amazing and so rated 3 stars.
T. R.
Good non-greasy burger. Good vibe, quite happy
N. J.
Love getting me some Betty's Burgers! Always fresh salads, juicy beef patties and the buns are always perfect and nicely sized. They make a flavoursome burger.
Fries have a really nice seasoning and their concrete mixers are perfect for sweet tooths. Chock full of mix ins.
T.
Awesome burger! The buns were very soft. And the sauce is awesome.
h. A.
as usual. grear burgers every time. I am going to miss this place so much. I wish they start considering open new branches outside of Australia. It's going to be one of the most successful Australian businesses.
B. B.
I am literally never disappointed every time I visit Betty’s burgers!! The shroom burger is my all time fav! The girl who served us was really wonderful as well and deserves a gold star for service!
N. B.
One of the best burger that I've tasted in my years of travelling around the world. It's juicy and mouth-watering.
Compulsory to order its concrete after the filling burger.
S.
Love the classic burger and the butter cookie frozen custard 🤤
M. C.
very great burgers, trust me you must order the special source
R. L.
Probably the best burgers I've had in Australia.
B. G.
Top burgers at great prices! Alex and the rest of the Elizabeth St Team run an amazing joint. I had forgotten to tell the staff to exclude an ingredient from my burger. As I attempted to remove the ingredient myself, Alex came by and insisted that the team make the burger again. I was shocked as it was my own mistake. I have never seen such dedicated customer service. I also note the new burger was delivered in less than 5 mins. Very impressed!! Definitely don't see that level of service much back at home in Sydney. You won't be disappointed.
K. Y.
Nice and fresh burgers! The line is always huge to get in but it’s worth it! Also the staff is always friendly!
D. N.
Good tasting burgers with a surfer laid back vibe, pretty busy during lunch hours. Betty's reminds me of shake shack in the US.
A. V.
Came for first time with my husband and couple of friends; All of us had the original hamburger with small chips and it was worthy! Love the hamburger meat flavor even though I don’t use to eat fast food oftenly. The only thing I guess could be improved to get a better experience at the restaurant would be the table service regarding to someone who can take the order (avoiding the queue)
K. T.
Well made burgers. Nice crusty meat still pink and juicy inside, fresh tomatoes and soft bread.
C. S.
Classic burger was a good simple and tasty burger.
H. T.
They have halal foods 😍 best burger 🍔
J. H.
Great atmosphere and lovely staff, unfortunately burgers are quite small considering their pricetag, but they are tasty nonetheless
C. K.
Definitely recommend it!!!!
Must come !!! Classic burger tasty
S. A.
This was one of the best burgers I have ever had! The buns tasted fresh and fluffy, the patty was well dine and flavorful! The French fries are the best that I have ever had! Also, the theme and small details were so on point and fun! It was honestly a blast
J. M.
Very popular and urban vibes at this place, was served by a polite young man named Jacob (I think) who helped me through the menu and select the right option for me! Will definitely be back soon!
S. R.
Busy place, standard Betty's Burger menu, park and walk to the location, service was polite but not warm. Burgers are really good and tasty. $ can add up though with extras and drinks.
A. C.
Chain of restaurants specializing in burgers. Slightly more stylish than the competition. Normal menu. Moderately priced for a quick burger. Bravo the staff. But it's not for me
J. Z.
Got a free beer and two desserts (with a friend) because they asked us to move table so nice burger tastes good
R.
Great burgers, but little bit small place. Its really crowded. Awesome staffs :D
s. s.
We went there because this place is in every foodie list of the must go places in Melbourne. And I must say, it does deserve to be in those lists. The food is good! There's a lot of style and flavor to choose from, for your burger and there are drink options too. It's not very expensive either and the staff were quite nice. Thumbs up to the place.
D. S.
My boyfriend ordered the crispy chicken burger, and I ordered the mushroom burger. They were absolutely delicious, and very filling too! It was quite busy when we went, however the staff were absolutely lovely and very attentive to our service. The atmosphere is fantastic. We'll definitely be returning here, we were very impressed with the place!
L. J.
Difficult to rate this place.
The burgers are delicious. One of my favourite Melbourne burgers. The shakes are so yum!
I give the poor rating because of the system. It’s bizarre to come in and wait for a table, yet then have to leave that table to order, then get a buzzer (that flashes, not buzzes) to pick up the food. And then the shake is picked up from a different spot? I’m not sure how long it was sitting there, and how easy it is for someone else to take it. Very confusing.
P. A.
Burgers here are totally on point. Had the crispy chicken supreme and it was one of the nicest chicken burgers I've ever had. Onion rings we're great quality as well. It's a little on the pricier side but the quality of the food definitely justifies the cost. It's a little loud inside for my taste but for those who enjoy a more lively setting you can't go wrong here.
A. B.
Great burger joint and rarely is there a wait. We've been many times and the food is consistently amazing. Both the chicken and beef burgers are worth a try.
I've not tried the concretes but they look great and the sides are tasty as well. Try the onion rings and sriracha mayonnaise.
j. j.
Friendly service, nice ambience, great burgers.
E.
A trendy American diner that only serves burger, shakes and concretes. Since when Melbournians started to queue up for a slightly overpriced burger that charges gherkin seperately?!
Impressed? No.
Over hyped? Yes.
J. B.
Service was great, beautiful inside and burgers are delicious
T. A. R.
Very nice burger. Very good fries.
S. D. (.
One if the best burgers in CBD. The special Betty sauce is delicious. I'm still on the fence about the concrete.
f. a.
I like the way they organize the order line. The place is neat and the food is delicious. The music is too loud. I guess I’ll come back to Bettys Burger 🍔
A. S.
Rather disappointed
Que on arrival, yet no one was allocated the outdoor tables. Yet, we sat on those very tables.
There is no ordering from the table via QR Code/ Mobile, instead you have to line up and patiently wait while people look at the menu and order, which takes 10-15 mins- with only one order taker, yes even for drinks.
It's covid times and 2020. Mobile order from the table is not an unreasonable request.
Food was good.
Service, nothing spectacular
Unlikely to return unless it is quiet, or invited to attend as a group
R. W.
The burgers were okay by fast food standards, similar to a Shake Shack or Five Guy's from the States. I enjoyed the crispy texture on the outside of the burger patty, and the toppings (tomato, onion, lettuce) were fresh. That said, most in my group felt it was only mediocre and not worth a stop. The fries were also not good, a bit soggy and tasteless.
C. L.
So good! Great fast and efficient
J. B.
Ommmm nommmmm my ice cream was sooooooo good! Nice atmosphere, cute 1950s diner style, and friendly service to match. I wanna go back and try the burgers.
K. G.
Really nice place, good service, tasty Burgers at a good price.
R. R.
Not too bad my Burger was a bit salty but my mates was fine and flavorful and filling
French fries ok and milkshakes good
I question the price is is worth it ? For the location I can understand but value for money it could be better.
G. D.
Second time at Betty’s, first time at the Elizabeth street location. Being a Friday night the restaurant was very busy with a queue to get a table. After a 5 or so minute wait, I ordered the Betty’s Classic, fries and a choc peanut butter shake.
The burger patty was a little stuck to the wrapper it came in however the flavour and taste was great. The fries were very crisp and the shake was delicious. The overall feel of the restaurant is a fun diner style atmosphere with friendly staff.
E. V.
Great restaurant with nice interior and good atmosphere. The burgers here are great but the milkshakes were too sweet in my opinion. Great customer service. Would come back here again. May take some time to be seated if you’re coming during peak hours, but it’s worth the wait.
j. k.
Betty's Burgers is on Elizabeth's street, easy to find. Great burgers, would highly recommend the Shroom Burger. The staff are friendly and polite. The only thing that I would ask them to change is the volume that the music was playing at, way too loud. And the type of tables and seating. We had a group of 5 and needed more than two small round tables pushed together. Definitely worth a visit though.
N. S.
My partner and I just walked in on impulse. Wonderful atmosphere takes you to another place altogether..and then we had the burger.. WOW! Best cheat day ever!! We had the Classic & the spicy chicken. Classic was soul filling and spicy chicken was just amazing. Had a vanilla milk shake which the 2 of us shared I liked it but she didn’t. The ice creams have crazy combos if you want to try. A must visit for anyone craving a great burger.
S. R.
It's an American styled dinner with burgers and concretes being the main focus. I am a big fan of the mushroom burger. Can get a drink, side and burger for a little over $20. There burgers taste really good and are very filling so it's well worth it. They also have a rather quick survice time. If you enjoy your burgers you really need to try this place.
W. B.
Decent, a bit expensive... Beef is quite salty.
L. S.
Great burgers and Betty's special sauce was out of this world. Tim on registers needs a raise! Greatest service!! Really friendly and knew the menu well.
Jacqui also very lovely! Tom helped us take a group photo and was lovely as well!
We enjoyed our time at Betty's burgers and Concrete Co. And you will too! 😁
P. H.
Valuable spending. I did try the Classics one and Mushroom, these are all good !!!
H. M.
A decent burger but nowhere near what I had hoped. Fried chicken was tasty but thinner than most other burgers. Bun was cold, which annoyed me more than I thought it would. Tomato was either too thickly cut or there was just too much of it, and the bacon was too crunchy for my liking. Chips were average. Avoid the queues and go to 8bit instead
D. L.
Long wait to get seated, but a lot of seats were available all around us. So, I felt like maybe a gimmick was in play to make the place look super busy?
I had the spicy chicken, it wasn’t spicy. But the burgers were tasty, thick shakes were nice too.
I’d go back.
m. f.
Nice place to eat they have bourges and chicken sandwiches. The place was nice but really I hate the loud music.
A. I.
It is a bit chaotic on organisation level and music is way too loud but other than that chicken burger is very tasty.
O. E.
Great place to have tasty and delicious burgers. We ordered Grilled Chicken and Crispy burger with some fries and Chocolate shake... The burger buns were too soft and the bettys special sauce was just amazing. The chocolate shake was actually quite thick and filling. The staff at the counter and on the floor were quite friendly and greeted with a big smile. Overall I enjoyed the food and the atmosphere.
L. R. K.
Good burger place and love the fries. A nice casual place when in a mood for burgers
楊.
The burger and chips were not so fresh during our second visit
E. D.
I went with my partner. We've ordered 3 different hamburgers and just loved all of them. It wasn't very big 🤣🤣but so tasty. Great!
J. A. I.
A very nice burger, and I know good burgers. The meal was great. I loved the atmosphere, service was excellent, and the place was clean. Food came very fast. The only thing that wasn't great was the strawberry thickshake - it had this really weird cardboard aftertaste that made me think the shake was made from a powder. If not for that, it would have been 5 stars.
D. G.
Very nice burgers at a good price, the restaurant is clean and has a nice diner aesthetic
S. G.
The best Beef burgers in Melbourne. Order the Betty's classic with a side of fries and sauce and you won't regret it. Lunch hours usually have a 15-20 min wait. The orders are quick and the staff manages the queue well.
Extra points for serving Halal. 5 stars all the way!
D.
Not bad, atmosphere is alright, a mix of young and old.. Can be quite a good place to sit and talk while eating until people come in that are louder than a cat in a blender.
Food is ok, I mean the onion rings were delicious, chips were salted nicely but I did not like the burgers.
S. L.
Read the reviews and thought I'd pop in for a bite with the family. Got us a classic and classic stack burgers, fries and Betty's special sauce. The burgers were delicious. The patties we're nicely grilled and chunky in a good way. The buns were a tad too soft for me, but to each his own. The friend went well with the sauce. Made the right move to have an early lunch as the place got increasingly busier as it appraised noon.
N. S.
Have become a regular at Betty’s Burgers over the last 6 months. Don’t let the line deter you, the staff are extremely efficient and you’ll be eating in no time. All the staff are friendly, helpful and have a personal touch. Now for the Burgers, living in the greatest city on earth there are an abundance of burger shops and restaurants around but I consider the classic (no tomato, add bacon) to rate as one of the top burgers in not only Melbourne but I would rate it with some of the top Burgers globally (Shake shack (Dubai) and In and Out (Cali)). Sides are generous and well prepared, I recommend the onion rings and what better to top it off than with a corona with lemon. If I do have any criticism it’s there are no limes to add to the Corona but that and insignificant issue given the quality of burger that compliments it. Constantly recommending Betty’s Burgers and bringing people in for a bite for well proportion quality feed.
C. G.
Great burger, although would have liked the option to get beetroot on it.
Salad is sadly overpriced and not very tasty. Chips are great but once again overpriced for the portion given.
D. C.
A bit of a waiting line but very accommodating & friendly staff. The food was tasty so makes the wait worth while. Price for burgers seemed fair. However I don't agree with separating the sauce from the fries and paying the sauce separately- it should be together or at least cheaper than $2/$1. Yes as you can tell I am just a fries lover! :)
M.
Honestly great burgers if you're looking for a quick bite in the city. Burgers were light and delicious. The fries were average shoestring fries but the onion rings were great too. The atmosphere was very modern boho, absolutely loved it. Would definately come back.
T. Z.
amazing burgers and shakes buttermilk is epic
P. C. K.
It's hard to know what to rate Betty's given how inconsistent it is. When it's good, it's great and I would give it 5 but when it's bad it's just average and I would give it 3. The best thing and most consistent thing is the staff who are always friendly and helpful. I've been here about a dozen times and notice lately that the bad is increasingly more common. The burgers have soggy buns which is rather unpleasant to eat, the crispy chicken is overcooked which makes it hard and dry. The chips are super salty. We've noticed that it's bad when it's super busy in the evenings and it's good during lunch time. Expect a 5-10 min wait to be seated during busy times. Pricewise you are looking at $50 for two burgers two fries and two beers.
D. B.
Love this busy restaurant in central Melbourne. Originating in Noosa, the beach holiday town in Queensland, Betty’s burger has had a makeover and is no longer the little shack it once was. Great burgers and sides. The service is great - maybe a little over attentive at times, but not a bad thing. Order at the counter and then pick up your order when ready. Everything is made fresh and really, the burgers are some of the best in town.
m. 7.
Im a burger connoiseur so l want to give a really detailed review in why these are one of the burgers ever tasted. I would say these are the best burgers ive ever tasted (and ive tasted a lot of burgers in my life).
I normally order a cheeseburger with only onion and pickle. The burger is flavorful, with really good quality meat. The the brioche buns are high quality, and cooked /heated with butter. They dont overdo the pickles, the balance of flavours with the cheese and the onion is perfect, and the burger is relatively filling too. As for sides, the onion rings are good too. Try them dipped in Kewpie siraxha mayo. (I normally request no tomato or lettuce so l can actually taste the burger)
This is one place l highly recommend. Do not miss it if you get a chance. Only problem is you might get addicted!
S. J.
We first discovered Betty’s while visiting the Gold Coast and loved the ambience, the service and the food. When they opened in Melbourne we were ecstatic.
Their burgers are simple and delicious - none of those 5 storey tall monstrosities that you awkwardly stare at and wonder if you need some kind of unhinging python jaw just to take a bite. Betty’s burgers are simple classics on brioche buns (but gluten free options are available).
Their fries are freaking delicious! And their thickshakes are a little unusual because they’re made from frozen custard - but once you’ve got a taste for them it’s hard to go back to anything else.
The staff are uniformly wonderful. Friendly faces, great service and highly competent. Great place to go for a casual lunch or dinner.
T. B.
Amazing delicious burgers! For something so bad for you, it taste so good and doesn't leave you with the greasy feeling.
Their thickshake are bloody impressive as well! Staff are always friendly and smiling, meals are generally quick to come out but they can get SUPER busy at peak times! That just proves how good they are
L. D.
Friendly staff helped me to choose and enjoy a yummy burger along with fries and Sriracha mayo sauce. I was getting a burger with one less ingredient and she made me choose the exact combination at a lower price. Wow! Love you girl - don't know her name.Their burger and sauces simply tasted yummmmm!!! Definitely try a burger with their special sauce.
J. K.
Burgers are great and the shakes were outstanding. All the shakes are highly recommended!
C. D.
Fantastic service overall, especially from Anika and delicious food!
V. L.
Pork belly burger is to die for!!! Easily the best burger I ever had. Think shake was average.
M. L.
Can get really busy but the burgers are really good.
K. D.
Perfect spot for for a Sunday morning refuel - simple but great food - quick service with a smile - fantastic job girls/guys! 😁👍
B. Q.
Sooo good.
Try the Onion Rings. Then try EACH AND EVERY burger on the menu!
I'm serious! I could use a ouija board to choose a burger and i could never be disappointed. Go on, go there now...
A. M.
Crispy chicken burger is a drool 🤤
C. T.
I ordered the 'crispy chicken' burger which was recommended by a staff member. The burger was simple but very tasty, with the chicken well cooked and the lettuce fresh. In short, a great place for those looking for uncomplicated yet satisfying burgers. The staff (Chloe and Eva) were also very welcoming and attentive, and contributed, alongside the lighting, to the relaxed ambience of the restaurant.
E. G.
Best burgers in Melbourne by far! Delicious food and amazing service, especially from Shannon who was so attentive to us. She brought our food right to our table, plus us anything we needed throughout our meal and was super chatty and polite. She is brilliant at her job and deserves recognition. Thank you Shannon for giving us a great experience!!
C. H.
As many others have pointed out, the burgers are fine but at these prices they should be amazing. I got takeaway and it was a bit on the slow side. My original burger with pickles and bacon plus a side of onion rings set me back $22. Everything tasted good, but I thought the onion rings serve could have been more generous.
The decor is going for a 1950s American diner feel and is currently shiny and new. If ambiance is important to you, I guess this place has a clear aesthetic. To me, it looks like glorified fast food.
B. P.
Great burgers, but the portions can be bigger!
W. K. T.
The deluxe burger and onion ring are awesome! The crispy chicken burger is good too.
d. ..
Very good burgers. Suggested by my friend and worth trying.
T. M.
On Arrival was happily greeted and shown around the menu. The friendly girl also assisted me in recommending the burger and meals that most people select. The meal was great, and the service and the set-up was also appealing for someone who just wants to have a break from the city outside and enjoy a quiet time with a burger in the hand.
N. M.
Started the night off by ordering our food and Kathleen was amazing and was very patient with our meal choices, Jayme then was very kind. The crispy chicken supreme burger was sublime and unique. I then had a chocolate cookie butter milkshake.
D. A.
Great location, nice decor and lively atmosphere. However the burgers were a real let down. They're presented really well but I was treated to tasting the dead sea, maybe make sure to lightly season the patty, beef is pretty tasty as it is. Price to meal quality ratio, not good. Service was really friendly but unfortunately a little sliw. But that could be perhaps it was close to shift change hour. Ultimately, a bit of an underwhelming experience. Also would've been nice to know on the menu that I could have had my burger in a lettuce wrap as opposed to having buns, only realised that was an option as I was about to leave this review here on Google.
J.
Had a classic burger that wasn’t too greasy. Staff were friendly and efficient.
M. T.
I came here with my partner on a Sunday (we got in pretty early so we beat the lunch rush, but as we left (which had to be about 12:15 or so) it was crazy busy. I loved the aesthetics, I felt like I was being transported into an Archie comic (funnily enough considering the name of the place). My partner is quite picky and took out quite a few things with the original burger (I got one too but left everything in).
The prices for two were quite steep (two originals with bacon, two thick shakes, chips and tomato sauce) but hey we decided to get what we got. The thick shakes were really nice, my partner got a caramel and I got a chocolate peanut butter. They gave us buzzers for the milkshake and food (the cashier said that it would buzz once for the milkshakes and twice for the burgers, would've been easier for just one trip).
We got the burgers and they weren't too bad, though quite small considering how much they were (the lettuce was bigger than my burger!) and my partner asked for no onions, first bite and he could taste onions, had to scrape it off, he's picky and not allergic but I would hate to have someone who's allergic to it and find it in their meals. The chips were decent, nothing to complain, though there was a lot of sauce compared to chip, would've been better to have two chips and share one dip.
Overall, I wouldn't mind going back there for the shakes, not so much for the burgers.
A. S.
This is a great place if you are looking for some good burger, French fries and thick shake.! They do get busy during lunch and dinner and you might have a 5 to 15min wait. If you are a chocolate lover definitely try their chocolate thick shake.
E. A.
Highly recommend this place, amazing food and a great understanding of allergens for those who are sensitive. Had a mix up of burger (asked for gluten free), as we were getting it they made sure to inform me that it was done incorrectly for coeliac standards and they would made a new burger ASAP. I was very thankful that they took the time to explain instead of waiting for me to complain. Dani (who I assume was the manager) looked after us well, made sure that even if it was busy, that we weren't rushed out.
H. M.
Seriously one of the best burgers I've ever had in Melbourne! The perfect size and so tasty. The restaurant decor is really cute and the staff are very polite, quick and efficient. I have eaten here at least 3 or 4 times now.
A. D.
Betty's burgers had a really nice atmosphere and vibe. I ordered the grilled chicken burger and it was so delicious that I came back two days in a row. The service was really good and I most definitely would recommend this place to everyone
T. T.
Came here for a team lunch and was not disappointed. Ordered the Classic Betty's Burger and it was nice and fresh. Onion rings were crunchy and well seasoned. The place gets very busy after 12, so make sure to come a little earlier to avoid the long wait. Would come back.
B. K.
Best burger by far, go get the beef stack burger (if I remember it correctly)
D. S.
Absolutely top tier of the fast food style burger places. The classic burger is exactly what a classic burger should be, delicious smashed beef topped with gooey melted cheese, nice and fresh lettuce, onion and tomato, all served in a pillowy soft yet still strong bun with classic burger sauce.
C. m.
Great food.
I often have issues when eating out, with explaining that I have Cealiac and cannot have any food that has been slightly contaminated with gluten. But when I asked a staff member, Sabrina Agnew. She was very helpful in explaining that the gluten free add on Bun with the Betty’s classic would be wonderful. And she was right it was the best gluten free burger I have had in a while. Refreshing to find a place with staff who actually care and want to be there.
W. r.
The chips was too salty and lettuce inside the burgers was a little rotten
H. R.
Chicken burger is the best Ive tasted. However the double beef patty burger was quite dry and plain. The staff here are friendly and they make food quickly. Highly recommend the peanut butter shake!
L. B.
Always busy so be prepared to wait but worth it. Delicious burgers, fries and milkshakes. Ordering is a bit odd, the sit in and take away areas both order from the same window. Friendly and helpful staff. Been there a number of times with no issues
m. b.
Food was great. Really good burgers and top notch onion rings. Staff were also super friendly and helpful. Only downside is how tightly the seating is arranged which is an issue as you have to collected your own order. Would definitely go back for the food though
J. B.
First time and betty’s and had the best burger! For a very reasonable price. Very good atmosphere and was served by Claryss. She briefed us through the menu as we were first timers, which was very helpful and she made it a pleasant experience! Would have to be the most amazing experience I’ve ever had. The bare Betty was amazing and the service was phoenomenal from start to finish. Have to give a special shout out to Luke who went above and beyond to make sure my time at Betty’s was special.
P. A.
Great place and burgers! Got to know about Betty's burgere from a few friends who rated the place so highly. Their recommendations turned out to be super spot on. Tried "Spicy Chicken" burger, and, without a doubt, it is one of the best burgers I've had in the recent past.
J. C.
Great burgers. The setting is fantastic, the servers were fast and very nice. Then there is the food, it was phenomenal. The milkshakes were also good and we are certainly looking to go back and try more items on their menu. Definitely worth the visit!
L. G.
Pretty good burgers and onion rings. Salads were substantial. Order at the counter and take a seat - be prepared to wait for a while. It is not "fast food"
Kudos to the owner for replying! I think I wasn't clear - I don't want my burgers to be "fast food!" You have to wait for food to be prepared to order. I probably shouldn't write reviews on my cell phone :)
A. V. C.
This 50's diner style burger place was right next to the hotel I was staying at while in Melbourne. Nice ambiance. The milkshakes seem to be the most popular item on the menu. Fills real quick and can lead to rather long lines at the counter. Burger was alright
S. T.
The classic American themed diner with a fresh update to our society, it was a very warm experience and I'll defenitely be visiting again for the "Betty's Deluxe" burger. The burgers were definitely unique, but as for quantity, they could be larger.
D. W.
Excellent customer service. We ordered the mushroom burger but didn't realize there wasn't any meat in it. They were quick to replace it even though it was our fault we didn't read the menu correctly. The original burger was amazing and delicious. Very Authentic American diner burgers! Perfect cure for my homesickness!!
M. P.
Best burger and ice cream in town
K. L.
The burgers are delicious!! And I love the secret sauce. :) Try to go during off hours to avoid the big crowds and queues. It reminded me of In-n-out burgers but maybe slightly better!
M. S.
Very delicious food and the prices are affordable. The staff is super friendly and helpful
J. C.
A great place to grab lunch or dinner, very popular among city workers at lunch hour. Burgers aren't the overly greasy type, which I liked. The grilled chicken burger was really nice, as were the onion rings. The thickshakes are super thick and rich. Great atmosphere and decor.
C. C.
Decent burger, I thought the bacon overpowering the beef patty since there was a lot of bacon and it was very fatty and stringy. Definitely would have been nicer without it. Shakes were tasty and very friendly staff. The cups the tap water comes in were also tiny, gone in one sip, need bigger cups or jugs.
A. F.
No complaints about the food. Got the Betty's deluxe and the chicken one and fries. Hard to differentiate with all the burger places these days. $31 pretty standard, however I don't think it's worth the $5 for the deluxe version for one piece of bacon and some pickles, I'd suggest $3 max. Lady doing the orders could definitely be more energetic/welcoming. Didn't smile or say anything at the beginning. Greeter was friendly, however.
A. B.
The staff at Betty's are so friendly and fun to deal with, as soon as we entered we were greeted by a dancing/sining man and couldn't help but feel relaxed. The food was to die for and so filling
Next time I'm OK Melbourne I'll be back
S. S.
Visited Betty's burgers today and was thrilled with the experience. The food was quite nice, and the service was impeccable. We were waited on by a pleasant young man who went and collected our food, saving us the trip up to the counter. I was so pleased by the entire waiting staff, him in particular, I believe his name was corey.
Great food, great atmosphere, great time.
r. c.
Very yummy
Worth two burgers onion rings and two beers for price. Was very flavorful.
Thinking need to try a few additional burgers.. but for a quick and easy betty special is a basic simple that you can enjoy..yum
L. A.
Great atmosphere, reasonable cost, absolutely amazing staff, and the best burgers I have tasted in Melbourne in seven years of living here. It's a bit of a wait to get in, even well after the lunchtime rush but the staff take great pains to ensure it passes as smoothly as it is within their power to do so, and I'll be damned if I wouldn't like up a block or more away to get one.of these burgers in me.
C. H.
Cute decor, great burgers and fast service. Takeaway gets to skip the queue, not that the line takes long to move.
Menu is straight forward but still has some random things on it like the pork belly burger and the chilli burger.
Really enjoy coming here, visit at least once a month.
N. L.
Let me begin by saying the chicken burger is excellent, however be warned of the customer experience. Their convoluted ordering process really clogs up with the dinner rush. You a left waiting in a queue for ages while numerous vacant tables taunt you.
A. K.
I ate so. much. here. Was it worth the $56 for 2? Maybe not. I got a concrete and a dessert. The concrete was better (I got vanilla, and it had lovely custardy flavours throughout). We also had to wait for about 15 minutes. And in July in Melbourne, it was a bit cold. The fried chicken burger was definitely good though. Quite juicy. I'd go back, but I'd definitely order less.
B. H.
The burger was simply amazing one of the best I've ever eaten. The ingredients all tasted very fresh and where cooked to perfection. My only area for impovment would be for less ice in my drink and more drink. Staff where very friendly and fast survice with cool 80s aesthetics.
T. F.
Oh boy! Those were awesome burgers!!!
Been to many very very good burger joints throughout western Europe and the USA, and this Betty's Burgers will definitely rise up to the top of my list ones.
If you're in Melbourne, just go 👍🏼
A. E.
Sensational ice cream, and very tasty food! Great for groups, and for special occasions. The atmosphere is very much an American diner place, and it's done very well. However, ordering in a line at the counter was a pain, and serving sizes were a bit small for the price. Otherwise lovely staff and clean interior.
W. S.
Our 2 burgers came in a small cardboard box. Would have liked a plate, ended up eating over a napkin Nice food though.
W. J.
First time here, I had crispy chicken, not too bad, children was tasty. Classic Betty was cold and lack taste & punch. Bare Betty was a little bland. Price is very reasonable. Service is very good.
A. T.
Best burgers EVER 👌 Highly recommended
T. g.
Pretty tasty Burgers and great. Onion rings as well. Reasonably priced. I'd you're going for lunch either head in before 12 or be prepared for a wait with a line out the door. Had the classic and was just the right amount of food.
J. C.
Not bad actually! Very friendly service. Wasn't sure what to expect burger wise. But was not disappointed with the super fresh cheeseburger.
Good bun quality beef patties.
Would recommend
n. j.
The best burgers that I've found in Melbourne so far. Rich, flavourful, juicy patties, creative combos, and that's not even getting started on the concrete. Super friendly staff too. A must-visit for sure!

The service here is odd: they have staff to greet you and guide you to your table, and staff to clear the tables - but to order you must go to the counter and get a buzzer and collect it yourself, like a pub. So the staff spend a lot of time doing nothing while the customers spend a lot of time doing orders. If only there were some way to keep the staff busier and the customers served...
The burgers are decent.

very beautiful restaurant, impeccable customer service, only downside was the actual burger itself. I asked for no onion and felt that I got an overload of onion instead, and there was only lettuce in half the burger. the chips were delicious however, and the shake was both late and very average, but everything else was amazing

We were greeted and quickly seated. Burgers and fries are good!
Shame about the bathroom situation. They only have two toilets that are locked. I was told to wait for another customer to return with the key only to notice as time went on that everyone else was just lining up outside the toilet.. so probably didn't get the best advice.

The burger was really good and the concrete was interesting. Fries could be better.
Read the menu carefully, there's a burger that comes without a bun! xD
They ask you to order before you seat. Other than that the service was good, despite some of the staff members being inexperienced.

Best burger I’ve eaten in ages! Betty’s classic was delicious. Great service from Lillah who sorted our table for 3 with a smile! We’ll be back :)

Great burger place with a great atmosphere and feel to it. Can get very busy on the weekend (we were there lunch time Sunday) but it is worth the wait. We had the fried chicken and classic beef burger with onion rings and chips - we were stuffed and couldn't finish it all. Will definitely be back!

Not too bad for a date venue but it's certainly not a real burger joint. Tiny portions and enough salt on the fries to make the Dead Sea proud (and the size is smaller than a small McDonald's fries! Expect a bit more for my money). Confusing seating/ordering process and we still got moved to another table after all that back and forth rigamarole.
In a competitive market I can't see any reason to go back when I can get a big feed at any other burger joint for the price of a small snack here.

really nice staff - when i told the guy that it was my first time dining at their restaurant he said he was "honored" to be in my service. so yeah, passionate and overall really cool people.
