Always good burgers. Nothing fancy, like a fish and chip shop. Chips are good, could be better, for me the history of the place does compensate. Recommended for a local no fuss burger joint. I really like how you can call ahead and make an order, dosen't matter what time, afternoon or night it will be ready in 10 minutes and the price is reasonable. I wouldn't compare this place to Grill'd or other national burger chains because the taste really is different. I go back to a great, local burger shop.

Danny’s has such a fantastic reputation of being one of the first burger places in Melbourne. It has such a nostalgic feeling, the service is so exceptional with a local feel. The guys behind the counter welcoming the regulars and asking about their family. I ordered The Lot without bacon and it was a very old style of burger. I can imagine sitting here on a late night with friends and enjoying this comfort food. The milkshake was really good too! I’m glad we tried Danny’s Burgers 🍔

Good joint for late night burgers compared to other fast food franchises. The burgers are reasonably priced, great service and the burger do taste great. The only thing is with this place is burgers don't always come out the way your would get them from your more expensive burger restaurants. However I have had more good burgers than average ones. I have never ever had a burger that was bad.

Burgers are massive, great value for money. The vibe is very 90s. Menu is confusing and you end up ordering from their meals. Don't expect a wow from the flavours it was missing character to it. Chips are thick cut and also lacking that punch. It's one of those places where I say "been there done that" and will not be top of mind when craving burgers.

Tried all the broadsheet recommended burger places and to me this is one of the best. if you remember those awesome wholesome burgers from your local fish and chips this is one of those. Straight Classic, no weird gimmicks. I got a burger with the lot and all ingredients were very fresh and tasty, they cut it in half too which is perfect for handling it. Chips were excellent and crunchy, no shoe string in sight Waiting for my meal looking around you can tell there’s experienced guys behind the grill that actually care about what they make. I never write reviews but had too as i was so impressed The fit out is classic, a breath of fresh air in all the bells and whistles other places try to do these guys just keep it real, nice and simple

Love it. Burgers are fresh and well made with great ingredients, the staff are always cheerful and upbeat. Has a nice atmosphere eating in along the bar - and to boot, really good prices. Well worth the trip from the outer burbs! The only letdown is no EFTPOS but there is an ATM outside so it’s not the end of the world. Bring a $20 and you’ll be stuffed to the teeth.

Love the retro feel of the place, they even have a cork board at the back where people can leave their business cards or post stuff for sale, usually vintage American muscle cars. However, the star of the show would always be the burgers, perfectly cooked beef patty (or patties as the case may be 😊) on a soft bun, fresh veggies and your choice of condiments. They are open til late as well so if you find yourself north of the cbd and suddenly have a craving for burgers, go to Danny's, they'll fix you up 😊👍

Big burgers with plenty of taste done in the old style we all love. Haven't been to Danny's for quite some time and our detour today did not disappoint. Consider eating in; and if there are two of you consider sharing because the servings are big and therefore generous for your dollar. ### I can't believe it is one year and one week since we visited Danny's Burgers! Today I tried their steak sandwich with tomato and onion: it is a big feed. The steak was really good as it was medium rare and quite tender. I know there are only 52 weekends in a year but I should make more of an effort to come back to one of the best burger joints in Melbourne.

Danny’s Burgers are out here producing simple, yet mouth watering, beautiful burgers Picture this: You’ve been at the beach all day with your Grandparents, it’s the peak of summer in QLD in 00’ and you go to the local milk bar for juicy hamburgers with the lot and milkshakes (in those palm tree patterned cardboard takeaway cups- always) to eat by the river. You’re covered in mosquito bites and salt- but nothing can take the pleasure away from this breathtaking burger in front of you. I’ve been searching for the perfect balance of meat, condiment and bun for 3 years and I have found sanction within Danny’s. A simple white bun with all the quintessential extras at your hearts desire (I’m talking fried eggs, pineapple, bacon and beetroot etc.) Not too much sauce and not too little. FINALLY a chicken burger option that is grilled (preserves the juiceness) and not fried into oblivion. Other menu items include OG steak sandwiches, hamburgers with the lot, 2x veg burger options and B&E rolls etc. I am fed up with these over the top, americanised hipster joints. I don’t want that 600cm high, Mac and cheese fried gimmick. GIMME the burger that will transport me back to my childhood and is stacked to perfection.. 5 STARS AND THANK YOU FOREVER..

Solid burger joint. You’re not going to get the best new age cheeseburger on sourdough or brioche here, just a solid fish and chip shop style beef and salad burger. They don’t take eftpos which is pretty frustrating. You have to pay the $2.50 surcharge for the ATM outside if you forget to take cash.

Only one issue: I'm intrigued by the grease build up on the footpath out front, can anyone offer an opinion on when it was last de-greased? I fear one day someone will drop a cigarette butt on the ground and half of St Georges Rd will go up in flames. Its that greasy, it reminds me of working in a shearing shed.

I got to admit that DAnnys burgers were taking us back to the ole fashion service and decor of US of A. Decor was different, and the service was quick considering they were really busy. Help yourself to tomatoe sauce, salt and the like. Burgers buns were soft, burgers rich in flavour and the chips were worth the add on. More chunky than Maccas and taste to go.
