Large menu. Great variety. Food was incredible. I was with a group of 5, and we all ordered different items. All of which tasted great. I try not to go to the same place twice, but I'll definitely be coming back here. The person who served us was so kind, polite, and patient. Great place. I'm happy haha

I cannot fathom how great GB burgers are! We ordered the Big Mock, The Nash and The Dill burger. All 3 were beautifully made, almost melt in your mouth, no pull, bun was soft and fresh, flavours paired well. Our favourite was The Nash! I think about you everyday 😅 seriously flawless, couldn't fault, wouldn't. Service was great too! Good quality food that is worth the trek if you are not in the neighborhood. Has the Colonel and the Dope Fries and both solid options, particularly if you have a hankering for fried chicken but aren’t an animal eater. My only feedback would be that both items were quite salty which became a bit much for me in the end.

Absolutely amazing burgers, honesty the best vegan burgers I've ever had, this is where I will take my omnivore friends to show them just how good vegan food can be, My boyfriend and I went today for some freedom and deliciousness, we also took away some sushi for dinner later on since we live about 25minutes away we thought we'd spoil ourselves,.... mind blown all over again future sushi was actually confusingly good, I found myself questioning how it could possible be plant based! So good! We had the Buffalo tenders, big moc, the Nash, and animal style fries and shared it all. Everything was delicious. Highly recommend the animal style fries; they taste even better than their inspiration, and we couldn’t believe it. The hemp fry seasoning is also 10/10!

First time I've eaten mock meat burgers and loved every single bit about it. My friend who is not Yet a vegan was so surprised and seriously loved his Big Mac style burger. It defeated him, he couldn't even finish it! The fried chicken one was a winner in my eyes though. Keep up the good work!

Solid selection of burgers. We had 3 different ones, all delicious and worth cleaning the plates. They forgot a side from our order which was fixed up instantly. And the fact there was 8 uber drivers waiting to pick up orders at all times means the locals know how good this place is.

The place is good. I had a Dirty South burger with a small side of chips and my mother had the Colonial burger. My burger was just spicy enough. The faux "pulled pork", though, while as close to pulled pork as you can get, considering it was plant based, was a tad too chewy. The same with the Colonial; she had to remove the "chicken" from the burger and eat it side on just to be able to take a bite out of it. The burgers were otherwise good, and I like that the faux meat is made on the premises. The chips were superb! This place is good if you're a vegan and miss that meaty experience, without the proper meat.

The Colonel was my personal favourite and absolutely out of this world! The texture of the soy protein was shreddy and very meat-like. Probably the best chicken substitute patty I've had! The Nashville was good too, but more flavourful when I added their pineapple flavoured tobasco sauce!

The place is quite nice, the interior is cosy although a little gloomy. If you come on a nice sunny day, it might be worth sitting outside. We ordered the Big Mock (a replica of the Big Mac which actually tastes pretty accurate) and we also ordered the Dirty South and Dope Fries. Between the two burgers, I liked the Big Mock better, but the other one was good too!

Had some friend rave about Green Burger and I’m always up for new delicious vegan burgers but yum. But was a little disappointed. I placed an online order to be picked up at 7:45. When it came time to go my partner and I made the trek up. Only to realise that as we were on our way. Our order had been ready since 6:51 so by the time we got there our order had been sitting ready for nearly an hour. Perhaps it’s a much better option to eat in vs ordering pick up to avoid lukewarm burgers and fries (besides that they were tasty but just disappointing to eat burgers not as fresh as they should be.) *Nothing can be done about the computer error that’s fine.. But just as a follow up. We arrived at 7:55 to collect it. We were home by 8:10.

The Big Mock was the most satisfying burger I've had since going vegetarian, and it was even more impressive since it's vegan! The chicken in The Colonel was also so impressive. The shake was so good, that Maccas shake vibe which went perfectly with the Big Mock. The chips with poutine weren't my cup of tea but my partner let me know they were bang on and I just don't like poutine. We're always on the hunt for good vegan food, and can't wait to be back here! Edit: a year later and I can confidently say that this is the flat out best vegan burger place in Melbourne. The amount of refinement that goes into the products here means that the food is getting better in ways you didn’t even realise it needed to. The Colonel has gotten even better with the inclusion of bacon, and a new chicken patty that is the most convincing yet.

Terrific new burger joint for vegans and vegetarians. I ordered the cheeseburger and, although it doesn't look like much, it's packed with flavor. Made with pea protein, the smokehouse patty is delicious. The mustard, pickle, tomato sauce and diced onions work perfectly with the patty. All in all, it's a thoughtfully constructed burger that keeps things simple but so darn good!

Had the duck burger ($13.90) and wow.. so bloody tasty! The crispness of the ‘skin’ felt weirdly accurate and really complemented the char sui and picked veggies. Good bun too! Burger, Dope Fries, with Shake or Kombucha - boom - tasty sustenance at a great price! This meal fills me up without feeling heavy or sluggish, powering me through the day or night. I've gone through their entire menu, and am in total love with the textures, flavours and nutritious grease each one provides :D ! I love their off menu items such as the 1/2 big mock, their new sauce concoctions, or whatever new food experiment the owner is crafting up and only too happy to share. Pop up and limited time food creations keep me on my toes. It always feels like a little adventure coming in here!! Nice and cosy vibes to eat in, the bathrooms are well sized and clean, the perfect place to clean yourself up after smashing your meal and getting it all over yourself.. which is what I end up doing! Great selection of Kombucha, the staff are really rad, and the music is on point. Highly recommend!

I was excited to try Green Burger because there should be some alternative to LOTF when it comes to plant based fast food. The first time I went there I had the signature burger and it wasn't quite as good as I hoped. But then I tried the Big Mock which was really delicious. Good food and atmosphere. Playing sweet bangas from Dr. Dre. and Die Antwood. Wasnt a fan of the Mac n Trees though. I have tried almost every vego/vegan burger in Melbourne and this place is probably the best. The style of burger is exactly what you'd expect to find at places like Shake Shack or In and Out in the States. The potato buns are soft and delicious, the plant based patties/fillets are delicious, juicy and succulent and the sauces, combos that the team at GB work into these burgers is phenomenal. This is the future of plant based burgers IMO, done right. Also what ever they put on their fries is pure deliciousness.

Great choice for vegans, as their whole menu is vegan. We ordered a (faux) duck burger and chicken burger. The duck burger had good flavours and a nice sauce. The chicken burger was also tasty, but was a little dry. We ordered a large vanilla milkshake, which was tasty. The shake had two failings however, with the first being that it was the size of what I would consider a small, and the second being that it was in a single-use plastic cup, even when dining in. Overall a great burger joint for the vegan fiend.

Have eaten here twice and feel that the burgers are pretty ordinary. Love that it's vegan and will hopefully get more people eating plant based food. This time around ordered the Colonel. The mock chicken was nice and crispy however needed more seasoning. Chips were really dissapointing and fairly soggy. I like the milkshake a lot but it's definitely more a thickshake. Soft serve was delicious. Overall okay but there is a lot of competition on and around Smith St.

Pretty bad experience if I'm being honest. The thick shakes were weird and foamy, the burger was dry and unappealing, and upon ordering the 'Dope fries' which were advertised on the board as "twice cooked curly fries", we were given thick cut fries instead, and upon informing the friendly lady at the counter and pointing to what it says on the board, sh looked at the board and simply said "oh well we changed them", with no apology? Which if your anything like me and get excited at the idea of having curley fries, being served thick cut fries is pretty disappointing.

Good meat-less burger place in general terms. I had the Big Mock which was good but nothing extraordinary because the bun was the typical soft one and it just felt like one of those regular decent burgers I’ve had before. The sauce was ok, but I kept adding Habanero for flavor. We also tried the burrito, which in my opinion was better: the black bean mix was reeeally good, so next time I will try one instead of a burger.

There's a good selection of vegan burgers that give you that meaty mouthfeel. I had the duck burger, which gave me a satisfying peking duck experience. The burger patty had a crispy skin and the sauce resembled hoisin or peking. A good range of Kombucha's and other drinks, some even on-tap. Limited indoor and outdoor seating. Cost <$20 for burger and drink. Would go here again if I wanted an environmentally friendly meat fix. Staff were friendly and burgers didn't take too long to come out.

First off, everything on their menu is heavenly tasting. From their burgers to their shakes, each item is dangerously delicious and I could honestly eat at green burger on a daily basis. You won’t be disappointed in this vegan joint to say the least. Secondly, I like to personally thank the female employee that works there, she has short dark hair and I don’t think she’s Australian. Anyway, I’m a support worker and the young man I work with has severe anxiety and a number other mental health conditions that make being in public very very very tough for him. We went to green burger for lunch and she time and time again made him feel comfortable and welcomed within the establishment. This may sound simple, but acts like this make a huge difference in him being able to enjoy time in public or having a serious anxiety attack/breakdown. Not only did she politely respond all his questions/statements, she even came over to make sure he was still feeling comfortable periodically. Her actions and kindness 100% made our visit a success and I truly thank you for that!

I'm a big meat eater, i always will be, but i was curious to see what these vegan shenanigans were all about. I got the southern fried chimkin thing and chips, and one of those dairy free smoothies. The burger tasted just like a McChicken, and was fresh and crunchy, coming out about 5 minutes after i ordered. The chips were freaking nice, and the smoothie, which was coconut or something, was awesome. I don't know how they make this stuff, and personally, i don't wanna know. I just know it was really nice, fast, and cheap. Hooley Dooley.

I enjoyed my burger and fries at this vegan burger joint. Taking off one star due to the lacklustre service. The girl who served me was unfriendly almost to the point of rudeness and the table I sat at needed to be cleared. It didn’t get cleared even when my food was brought out to me. However, these seem like teething issues to me, and hopefully over time this aspect will improve. I do intend to come back.
