One of my go to places. Reasonably priced and make a great burger. Cheese melt is amazing. I do wish the bun was a little softer although everything else is awesome. Onion rings fresh, soft yet crunchy and not oily - batter does not fall apart like many others. Seasoning on chips is next level.

Friendly and fast service, the team were very helpful. We seem to be on a bit of a roll of burger reviews. Looking out over the intersection where there once was a Rays outdoors this strip of shops was a pang of nostalgia for me. I had the handlebar burger (pictured as a combo) chips are thick cut and well salted the burger could do with a little more Mayo but everything else was a solid feed. Happy to recommend.

Food was great, amazing chips & delicious burgers, very generous with the meat and fillings, prices are fantastic. Just lost a star or two because the shop front itself is quite messy / dirty & doesn't instil confidence in you that the food will be clean and fresh. I had questions about the hygiene. No repercussions but the imaging wasn't great. Staff member was nice. The store was open when we visited but the front door was locked and nobody was visible in the shop, I had to call the number and someone came to the door. Service was quick. Overall a good experience, would have been 5 star if I didn't go to the shop front

The food is great but we ordered once with Menulog and took over 2 hours to deliver, very poor experience with cold food delivered. Stop using Menulog! they are affecting your great brand and bringing a bad experience to your customers.

BOOK DIRECT WITH HANDLEBAR & DON'T USE MENULOG as the restaurant is not treated fairly by food delivery companies. My experience was this: 1 hour 15 minute wait on Menulog which you don't find out until you've paid, so I had to drive and pick it up. My best advice is to check your chips are crispy and cooked thoroughly in peak times.

It's a competitive world out there for Burgers in Melbourne these days and I'm glad to report they are definitely worthy! I had a Super Trooper and it was massive, thick patties and pink inside. Wife had The Lot and enjoyed it as well. Chilli cheese fries were nice, though the normal chips could use a little more seasoning, the sriracha mayo came to the rescue. Will be back.

Been here twice. Once when they first opened and they had dry burgers so I didn't review (I review after 3 times typically). I decided to go again given thr outstanding reviews lately. So glad I did! I ordered the Horseshoe burger (bacon & caramelised onions), burger was exceptional. Also ordered the Crumbled Jalapenos.. Totally not a fan. Was oily, not crunchy enough and cheese was average. Their chocolate shake was great, reminded me of a better chocolate shake from maccas. I'd be back for their exceptional, American burgers.

It's my new local burger bar, and the first experience was a very satisfying experience. I didn't need a huge meal, so I just ordered the cheapest burger on the menu, and a regular serve of chips. The menu suggested the chips would be diamond cut, which are not my favourite, but what I was served was big fat steak cut chips, which pleased me. The regular serve of chips was so large I couldn't finish them all, and they were great. The burger also was very good value, and very tasty. I look forward to exploring more of the menu in the future.

They've approved over the last year. I'm changing this from a three to a five. Service is fast, orders come out quick. Very quick for take away. I had the fish burger and it very good. Well cooked, bun was toasted. I would have this again. Chips was a good serving size.

Handlebar has been our go to spot for burgers this past year. Great value for money with generous sized burgers and sides. Have tried the beef, fried chicken, and grilled chicken burgers which have all hit the mark each visit. The seasoning on their chips and onion rings are the perfect blend of umami. Highly recommend!

Always smells delicious when I walk past so decided to give it a shot. Fantastic burgers and fries. It was DELICIOUS !!! I don't know how they get the meat to taste so good. You definitely won"t be hungry after that meal. The cashier, Sammy was friendly and helpful to me. I can't decide which burger I should get but he suggested nice burger. Holy patties, Batman, these burgers and fries are to dine for! Scrumdiddily circumferences of burger beauty await your order here. Delicious sauces are what salivates the senses while beer battered fries boister the buntriciousness of this burger bar. The horseshoe burger was spectacular. The other burgers seem gimmicky with their Mac and cheese or onion rings inbuilt. But that's just me. Enjoy!

I have given 3 stars as my partner really enjoyed his chicken burger and the service was good. However I ended up getting sick from my fish burger and I believe it was because the oil that it was fried in was old..and you could really taste it.. The burger was put together beautifully and would've been really delicious but the old oil taste was really overpowering. Perhaps because it was a Sunday they were using the last scraps of oil? Will try again and see..

During lockdown, this has been the best burgers and loaded fries I’ve had all year! We’re ordered so many times already. Tiramisu and peanut butter milkshakes aren’t too sweet so I recommend giving them a try. Can’t talk Handlebar Burgers up enough! Thank you for an amazing service 🍔

This has to be one of the most underrated burger places in the West of Melbourne! I came across this place on Ubereats and the burgers are absolutely delicious! Hands down the best mushroom burger (The Cop) I have ever had. The chips are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. I went into the restaurant and just ordered at the counter, not sure if there is table service but I was fine with that. Staff were friendly though.

Ordered dinner from these guys through Ubereats last minute tonight. I honestly didn't have high expectations but honestly, food was far beyond what I expected. Delicious. Ordered a fried chicken burger, it had just the right level of spice to it, flavour was phenomenal. It arrived hot too, bun was soft and well toasted on the inside. It was simply fantastic.

My bf and I usually order from here, my first time experience was amazing since the burger and chips were great and cooked well, but for the last two times I ordered(I forgave the first time cos mistakes happen), the burger I recieved tasted so gluey and mooshy, doesnt even taste like its actually been cooked, I had to put it aside and just eat the chips instead. Im never usually picky but this is the first time a burger has made me feel sick to my stomach. Obviously based on the reviews, it seems like either one person or a few are slacking in the workplace... whilst the others are doing an awesome job.

Finally got to try out handlebar burgers and I can now confirm that they are as delicious as they look. The owners are super nice people and they are so generous with the toppings. Even the beef patty was thick and full of flavour. Don't really need a double patty honestly. But I got one anyway. 🤔 My missus loved the marinated chicken burger. Some great spice to it. Well worth a visit!

I love burgers and have been to so many burger joints in Melbourne. This is my fave! Awesome team working there, super tasty burgers and fries and they're always consistent. They're open regularly too which some places really aren't. Love this place and so happy it's a 2 minute walk from my house!! 👌🏼

Vegetarian burger packed a punch, not too heavy, well balanced flavours and high quality ingredients. Attentive, friendly staff and a modern, inviting decor. It has the best burgers I've had in Australia so far since moving here. The staff are super polite and the food comes pretty quickly. Which is why it brings me pain to say I visited it today and the incredibly strong and nauseating smell of incense put me straight off buying my fav burger. I like incense but when you walk out the shop and your food and clothes smell of incense it makes you want to avoid eating there.

Good burgers and sides (fries and onion rings). Decent range of beers in cans and bottles (not on tap). The only issue is ventilation: or lack thereof. If you sit inside, expect to come out smelling of fried food. There are some seats outside and there’s always takeaway. East parking out the front.
