Definitely one of my favourite burger places. The food has always been consistently good quality. The staff are very friendly and your meal is ready within a reasonable timeframe. The frozen custard shakes are a must and it's also unlimited soft drink refills. Good place for casual meet, family friendly environment and or a date. The food looked, tasted and smelt great! We will be back at Laurie Dee's one day.

Been a couple of times before a movie with friends and is an alright burger place. I find it overpriced and lacking compared to ones in the CBD. I recommend staying away from their chicken burger since its not worth it at all. But their beef burgers taste good but you can make the same smash burgers pretty easily at home. Overall a good place to get a bite to eat before a movie, but not the place if you want an amazing burger.

My favourite burger in Melbourne. They've won burger of the year 2 years in a row and I can see why. The burgers are simple and done just right. They've got an American dinner vibe going here and it works well. The shakes add the perfect finishing touch to an already amazing meal. Almost 5 out 5 stars but lost a star for charging a massive 15% surcharge for public holidays.

A diner style restaurant with a generous amount of seats and food to offer. Cheese fries - the best seasoning I've had. Crisp chips with the most flavorful chicken salt and herbs and topped with the thickest cheese. Laurie dees burger - very crisp buns complimented with the freshest lettuce, juiciest tomato and sweetest onion. The softness of this burger is great. Again extremely juicy and a tangy hit for the relish. The hotdogs bun is so packed with filling to the point the buns struggle to hold the toppings.

Revised still 5* review!: WHOOPEE Laurie Dee's is open again!! We travel from Doncaster to eat here! Wish they were franchised so there were other outlets! Restricted seating inside so not the same busy buzz as usual, but the burgers and fries are still fantastic. They do seem to have changed the fries since last time, they seem to be battered now and unfortunately the bottomless drink fountain has been turned of due to COVID. Staff greeted us with a smile as usual, making us feel welcome. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE LAURIE DEES MANAGEMENT: Your Chilli is fantastic!! WHY don't you sell it as a dish on its own, maybe with a side salad????!!!! You already have all the ingredients, all you need is a bowl to serve it in!! Revised Review still 5*: Second time here in a few weeks and even better this time! Although much busier than our first time when there, more staff meant we were served quickly and got our meals promptly. Food was fantastic again. This time I tried the Chili Cheese Burger and it was perfect. Some of the best burgers we've had anywhere in Australia. I still hope they put that Chili as a menu item, with a small salad or some fries, on the side, NOT loaded, it would be a really excellent meal.........All the ingredients are there for it already, all you have to do is serve it! First time here 5* review: Burgers are really nice, made from freshly ground/minced in house beef. They were really tasty, well cooked and had just the right amount of sauces and toppings for a tasty, juicy burger. My son really liked the loaded fries, with Chilli and Cheese. I REALLY liked the Chilli and would like to see it as a seperate, stand alone dish with maybe a salad on the side. There are 10 different self serve Craft Sodas to choose from as well. All of us enjoyed our meal in the bright 50s style diner layout. It did take a while to get our meals, around 15 minutes even although they were only moderately busy. But all meals are cooked fresh when ordered so we weren't overly fussed although they should probably let customers know how long your order will take.

I ordered the chilli cheese beef burger with cheese fries and drink. Beef patty was tasty, nice texture. Bun was fresh. I ordered with jalapenos, however I found for a chilli burger with jalapenos that is was lacking spice (I provided feedback about this). I added bacon (extra $) - Bacon was super crispy which impressed. Cheese fries serve was large (too much for one person) and were very cheesy - eat with cutlery. Not sure what the seasoning for the fries was. To finish I ordered a Twista shake and this really was delicious. The frozen custard does add a unique texture and flavour. Kids size was ample for one person. My two qualms were the staff standing behind the counter when there was a lot of rubbish on tables that needed clearing and price was a little high. The burger, cheese fries and drink was $23+... need a meal deal option. I would go again if in the area.

Fantastic food and great service! The burgers and drinks here are ten times better than any takeaway. Their patties aren't overly processed and taste like an actual, fresh burger should. Their sodas on tap are all craft made in Victoria, and you can definitely taste the difference there too. The prices are also extremely reasonable - comparable to most takeaways for a meal deal. 100% recommend this place for a meal before or after you catch a movie.

Honestly I use to love Laurie Dees. But feel it's gone downhill a little in recent years. I would still go there when we go to the movies at Epping. But I think from now on I'll ask for the burgers on the toast bread instead of the buns they use. Staff are still amazingly lovely and welcoming even under the pump. Been here a few times now. Burgers are nice. Chips are miles oversalted every time, thick shakes are good, but overpriced. Biggest bug bear would be how long you have to wait for your food. They make it in batches, so if you are first in the batch you could be waiting 15 minutes, unacceptable in this day and age.

Excellent food. But they need to revert back to shoestring fries...the newer thick cut chips are a downgrade. Also, dont ring them and EVER expect them to answer their phone because it's not going to happen. Order online for a significantly reduced menu range. They can do better, and they really should because they do have great food.

Ordered Cheesy Bacon Dog, Chili Cheese Fries, and The Laurie Dee double burger for lunch on a Tuesday. Total 32.85 AUD. The taste was amazing, and the staff was very friendly. Free refills if you purchase the soft drinks. The decor was nice and lovely, and located conveniently inside the Pacific Epping shopping mall Urban Diner area. Hot dog was a bit small, that's why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.

I have been to this place mutliple times and it is always consistently good. I always get the chilly cheese fries and the chilly cheese burger, the chilly cheese fries are the best I've had and the fries alone without the sauce taste great as well. The burgers are good, however, they are bit too oily flr my likings, other than that i would give it 5 stars. I still would recommend the chilly cheese burger.

When I am craving a burger this is exactly the type of burger I want and I think Laurie Dee’s is probably the only place in Melbourne doing them this well. It’s like an American fast food style burger, but made with high quality ingredients. As soon as I had my first bite I couldn’t stop eating it until it was finished and then I was sad that it was over! Also great to see a patty melt on the menu, I can’t wait to try it! The attention to detail of the whole menu is excellent. My only wish is that they open up another location closer to the city!

I took my son to try Laurie Dee's and we're both huge fans of smashed patties. The whole vibe and experience was very similar to the American burger chains and the quality was even better. The smashed patties had a beautiful crust and were still so juicy within. When the menu said crispy bacon, it wasn't lying. Crunchy yet still a bit moist. The cheesy fries were out of this world!! Very simple, just seasoned chips, cheese sauce and onion but the flavour really blew me away.

If you’re craving a classic American style smashed patty burger, then head down and taste for yourself. We ordered the Bacon + Cheddar, Laurie Dee, Cheesy Dog, Nuggets and Fries. The burgers and sides (chips perfectly seasoned) were impossible to fault - you get what you pay for, delicious burgers 🍔. The cheesy dog went down a treat, but would have been better had the cheese been melted. Happily recommend and happily eager to return.

Just ordered $63 of food for myself and my family, waited 20mins for my order only to have the approach staff and be told they "didn't realise I was there" asked why didn't they call the number like usaul was met with a dumb founded look and replied with "oh, well its still warm" by the time I arrived home it was cold. $63 in the bin, ended up going Mcdonalds. Me and my friends have been coming to this resaurant for the past 7 years, the food is amazing if you want simple American diner style food that has freshness and flavour. Everything on the menu is superb. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because of the poor customer service. My friends and I were having dinner there, talking and having a laugh when the worker lady at the register yelled out at us “GIRLS! BE QUIET!!! IM ON THE PHONE!!” We were so shocked that we fell silent for the remainder of our time there and left earlier to go somewhere else and continue catching up. There were a few others in the restaurant but it was not full enough to be making too much noise. If she was speaking on the phone she could have walked somewhere quieter, or politely asked us to keep our voices down. Mind you we were not being obnoxiously loud or obscene. As we were leaving I confronted the worker and politely told her how inappropriate and unprofessional she acted and she continued to defend herself saying “I was on the phone and you were loud.” No apology was given. I work in a busy retail store and I know how frustrating it can be when people are loud and you can’t speak on the phone because of noise. But this was absolutely appalling behaviour. Watch who you hire and take care of your customers (especially those who are regulars).

BEST AMERICAN-STYLE HAMBURGERS IN THE NORTH MELBOURNE -- Epping, Mill Park, South Morang, Mernda, Doreen, Whittlesea -- AREA! Bar none. My daughter (and our pup) have been going to this joint for years, literally. GREAT cheeseburgers and french fries (daughter likes, and usually orders, cheesy fries. I prefer my fries CRISP, and so I had hesitated to order any here for a while (seems like EVERY place in oz -- including that over-rated fastfood joint -- likes to make their "chips" too soggy and limp). When I asked for french fries, EXTRA crisp, the ladies -- and their team -- running this place made the fries JUST right!! (I should not have worried, knowing how great the burgers taste). FIVE STARS and then some!
