Id give it more than 4 stars if I could, without the full 5. The two guys working here tonight we’re friendly and polite, and served my food quickly. The food was hot, really yummy, and well portioned. The 4 stars is because I asked explicitly for no tomato, as I’m allergic, and despite him repeating it back to me, and me being the only customer, I took a bite and had this guy in my mouth. No problem, good food, but could’ve been a little better!

Have you heard about this burger joint?! My bf wanted to try this place so we ordered it from ubereats. I didn’t know that we actually were so close to the place! 😂 We ordered: 🍔 Big Boy - Beef patty with egg, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, mustard and tomato sauce 🍔 Muscle Up - Double everything from Big Boy and added pickles 🍟 Simpsons Chips and Poutine Just by looking at them when I opened the boxes, I was already drooling! The burgers were quite heavy so we know its packin’ juicy patties 🤤 After the first bite, I was in love!!! 🥰 The burgers tasted like they were homecooked made with so much love and attention and we could also taste the fresh ingredients they’re using. The buns had great thickness to hold the ingredients together and nicely toasted. The sauces on both burgers were amazing, they really complemented each ingredients inside the burger. The chips themselves were perfectly seasoned with the right amount of salt. The poutine gravy was the best! I’d recommend everyone to get the poutine instead of the regular, just to taste that elevated flavors. Overall, we can see ourselves ordering here again (and probably often) in the future, especially when the burger craving kicks in!

Lovely food, healthy burgers, it's just so fresh it's cooked in front of your eyes. Spicy chicken burger made my day. My husband had their Heisenburger and loaded fries with added bacon bits to it was so tasty we finished everything on the plate. Very humble and down to earth shop with the most delicious and juicy burgers in all of Melbourne CBD! The serving sizes are good and they’re cheaper than everywhere else, not to mention their ingredients taste really fresh and the meat is very juicy. The workers are very friendly too. You won’t be getting the most aesthetically plated burger but you won’t be paying for the instagram markup either. The food is delicious, fresh and 100% worth the money. Would highly recommend The American and The Spicy Chicken.

The contents of the burger is quite tasty, the only let down for this burger, in my opinion, was the burger bun. It reminded me of a hungry jacks bun. Although in saying that, this comes down to preference and each individual taste. The poutine was nice, perhaps a bit too much cheese for my liking as they all stuck together in one clump but again, comes down to preference. The pricing of the items is really cheap especially for Melbourne. I would definitely give this place a try for yourself.

They manage to keep their prices very low, yet the quality of both food and service is consistently high – especially compared to many of the overpriced burger joints in the coveted CBD strip. Your order is always made on the spot with the perfect temperature and fresh, flavoursome ingredients. Their Cheeseburger Classic is my particular favourite – its simple flavours let the main star of the show shine: the flame grilled beef patty. I have visited over half a dozen times, starting from when they opened, and I’ve not been disappointed yet.

I like ordering the items named after the place, so I got the Simpsons Burger. It is a classic salad burger, the patty was really tasty, with a nice flame-grilled flavour. A small shop that makes a decent burger. The only reason why I only gave it 4 stars was because they charge an extra $1.50 for a bun that looked so ordinary, I was surprised there was a surcharge for it. In addition, chips and drinks combo was an extra $5.50 and didn't seem to be good value for money. Basically it's only a good value when you only purchase the burger alone. The add-ons to the burger are just not worth it.

Hmm an ok burger. Compact beef that was under seasoned, shredded lettuce which I dont really understands why you would use (it just falls out), bun way to dry, the cheese did not taste anything like cheese, good and nice customer service. There is room for improvement when it comes to the food!

Tiny but great spot for having a quick bite of amazing burgers. This one is bacon&cheese with extra aioli bbq sauce. It was sick. Patty is fairly good, juicy and big enough around 150-180gr. It is grilled on fire, not on electrical plate which gives the taste. Bread was fresh enough, there are 3 bread selections for your preference this one was brioche. but the best part is the dip sauces, i loved them. I tried garlic mayonnaise, ketchup and honey mustard. Good choice for 🍟. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. Ps: price performance is fair.

Don't judge book by it's cover and don't compare this place with others when you are eating here. Yes thier burgers are not very shiny looking ( and doesn't cost $15 either ) but this place do really fine deliciously fresh burgers at really affordable prices. I had a Big Boy Burger with chips and gravy, the burger was delicious and very filling, the chips were nice, not too salty or greasy, however, the gravy was just your average gravy and the American mustard in the hamburger was not quite to my taste. Although small, the store is nice and neat, with seating inside and out. Overall a great place for some decent wholesome food at a good price.

Delicious burger that has it's own unique style (not like the hundred other decadent/American burger joints that have popped up (not that there's anything wrong with those)). Beef burgers and chicken both excellent. The chicken is a nice big breast grilled piece. Even the vegetarian burgers taste great (I. E. Doesn't taste like a throwaway option to appease vegetarians). Great chips with good sauce options. Generally fast service even when busy. Get here early though if you want a seat it is fairly small.

They do have a delicious crispy beef & turkey bacon, and both are halal which is too hard to find in the CBD and in Melbourne generally😅. I like their fries with the chili sauce. Thou I didn’t like the gravy sauce, but their food is still amazing!!

This a dinky little place - I mean teensy tiny. I think there only 3 or 4 tables seating 2 people each inside and a few tables out on the footpath. It's clean, tidy and the service is quick. Best burgers in CBD, no doubt. They have good chicken burger and beef burgers (Halal ones) checked with them already. When they ask you want spicy and you agreed, it will be good spicy. Have eaten from this place number of times and they passed everytime keeping same taste and service. Getting good beef halal burgers is not easy in CBD but this is place to try. Amazing thing is; this place run by Indians but they are specialized in making awesome burgers!

Honestly this place is fairly cheap. Considering it's location. The food is somewhat filling however the chips are not worth it. I'd reccomend saving some of that for some good ole'hungry jacks fries not two mins away. The burgers however are nothing too fancy, but still a good deal. Overall it's a good pace for a quick bite, but nothing to extravagant.

I have been to this place many times and everytime the quality of the foods been top notch and thier burgers are relly huge in sizes and the prices are really affordable i mean thier basic burger starts from $6.99 these are 1980s prices to be honest. And they have the best customer service ever considering how busy they get. So come here if you want juicy flame grill burger. My favourite are spicy chicken or smokin burger. Peace

Come here pretty regularly with people from work. Nothing gourmet about this place and it's a good old fashioned tuck shop style burger joint. I usually go for a Cheeseburger classic for $8 and add chips and coke for $5.50. It can get super busy during lunch time so expect to wait 10-15 mins during peak times. Taste-wise I prefer 8-bit, Royal Stacks and Bettys Burgers but Simpson's is great for the price and you do get a sizeable burger with a flame grilled patty. Great selection for vegetarians too.

The patty is huge, the flavours are great and the chips were really well seasoned. If you want to sit down and eat, forget it, unless you are one of the lucky few who scores one of the limited seats, so be prepared to go for a walk to a nearby food court or park to enjoy your burger :) Overall, great place, I'll definitely go back again for lunch sometime!
