Amazing burger joint! Great vibes inside. Staff were attentive and fresh. The burgers were a standout with juicy filled burgers. The chicken royal tasted like a well executed KFC burger! Their signature award winning burger stole the show. Truffle mushroom and a meat patty? No surprise why it won. good selection of craft beer to wash it down. Will be going back.

Ordered take away dinner, Buttermilk Fried Chicken. Assumed it would’ve been a burger. (Just the way my brain read the menu) Was very annoyed when we got home. Food okay, Mac and cheese no taste. AMAZING GLUTEN FREE BURGERS The gf buns were so soft and i could barely tell they were GF!! It was such a treat to find out they also could do almost all the fried foods gluten free (AND coeliac friendly!). It tasted amazing. We also ordered the pulled pork fries - the fries were slightly cold and soft but the pulled pork was amazint and made up for it. Will definitely be back!

Rarely a bad burger here, between the weekly special and the stalwart regulars, there is something for everyone. And now with the new venue, enjoy a refreshing beverage or a 'big kids milkshake'. If that's too much you can always such with the endless ice tea!!

Had the pulled pork burger last night, it was awesome, love the slaws in the 🍔. My son had the waffle chicken, it was just ok, the chicken could be better if it's been marinated a bit. The only downside were the fries, we thought they tasted like the frozen one that we usually bake it at home ourselves. But overall experience was good. Service was good as well.

I hadn't been to RoyAl's since they moved to the new larger location in Vic Park, but they were a fave of mine and I had high hopes. Sadly, it seems as though they have bitten off more than they can chew with the larger venue. We popped in on a Wednesday evening at 6.30pm. After being directed to an unmanned counter and waiting in line for 10mins, we were able to order our takeaway from a different counter after several people in front of us left without being served. The 20min wait for the food was fine, they were packed, but when we opened our burgers, the presentation was in line with what I would expect from Maccas (see pic). Once we reassembled our burgers they were, in fact, delicious and the fries were hot. But we couldn't eat our mac and cheese because we had no utensils. Not even a napkin. The place looked like no one was in control. Loads of customers were standing around the front of the store just trying to figure out how to get served. For god sakes, hire a new manager, because eventually people will be so annoyed at the poor service, the food quality won't save you!

New restaurant is fantastic. Eat in if you can rather than take away. The burgers are all fantastic, the sauces make every side way better and the popcorn chicken is the best in Perth. Get the bottomless iced tea, you will not regret it. Cannot recommend this place enough, love it here.

The Cheese Royal hits the spot. Hands down the best cheese burger I’ve had in Perth so far. The Chicken Royal could be better if they marinated the chicken a bit stronger in seasoning or put more seasoning on the crumb in my opinion. Would definitely be back to try more tho

The place is smoking with beef patty and heat that fuels your hunger. Even if the area is small and seats are filled, you would want to want in line and try their burgers since you most probably read bloggers comments and other reviewers. I ordered the "Stevie Wonder" that has pickle, beef patty, fried onion rings, mayo and soft buns with crunchy sides; all that makes up a nice crunchy and crispy and tasty meat with mayo mix. I like the crunchy onion rings mix. The only thing I probably would have like is more taste from the beef. I also ordered waffle buttermilk fried chicken and bacon with maple syrup that amounts to mouth watering goodness which makes the best comfort food. The waffle had some sugar bits left in that made a satisfying crunch. The maple syrup seems to be authentic which is not too sweet that overpowers the maple taste. It actually complement quite well with the waffle and chicken. The only thing I am probably not satisfy with is that the fried chicken is not moist enough for me. Stevie Wonder burger ($15) and waffle chicken bacon ($14). The only thing I kinda wish is they would add fries to the burger with the burger and waffle. Everything was satisfactory so if you're around, have a taste.

One of the best burgers in perth and i personally rate it top in Vic Park area. The burgers are so juicy and Dirty ! U r not gonna diet while u having their burgers, so just give it a go and eat them all ! The reason why it couldn't get 5 star is the air temperature. Its quite hot inside cause the whole restaurant is connected with their kitchen and its quite small for dining area ... Overall, their quality of burger really best and tasty with reasonable price !

There’s something special about RoyAl’s chicken and burgers, actually no, there’s not something, there’s a tonne of things! Their chicken is like nothing I’ve eaten before! The protein is succulent and moist. The coating is not heavy at all; it’s beautifully light and crispy. The seasoning that the hot fried chicken is doused in is super spicy, then sweet, then spicy again. There really isn’t anything to fault here! Their burgers are out of bounds also! Whether you try one of their menu mainstays or try one of their ‘specials’, you really won’t be left disappointed! Seriously, this place is something special, just go try it! The boys behind RoyAl’s (The Craigie Brothers – Ken and Alasdair), are bloody legends too, if you spot them in-store make sure you say g’day when you visit!

Wow, what a feed. Definitely recommend this place. If you’re a fan of chilli and spicy food, I’d recommend NOT getting the spiciest wings as the flavour is great, but there’s an odd taste that they use to get the spice levels up. Go for the second level and enjoy the great flavour.

I was quite looking forward to this place. Tried the ODB in Vic Park. Thank god it had some pickles as that was the only thing that provided any real taste. Meat patties were quite dry and flavourless and the cheese was very bland. So the burger was tasty at the top, where the pickles were, and tasteless at the bottom which patty and cheese. Tator tots were ok . Place needs a good clean as well. Not for me I’m afraid.

From a simple cheese burger or fried chicken, to concoction of stacked grilled or fried delicious meat. I'm quite fussy about my burgers as I love them so much and this place really delivered the goods. Probably one of the top 3 burgers I've had anywhere in the world. The souther burger I had was a great combination of flavour, texture and constructed to look and taste delicious! Only downside is, they are so rich, you will feel very guilty after eating here and will need to go for a run just to make up for all those yummy calories!

The best gluten free Burger I have had in Perth yet. There was no hesitation in doing a burger as gf, went through the menu with what I could have and do the fries in a seperate fryer so they're coeliac safe. I highly recommend RoyAL's for those who can't eat gluten and are craving a good burger without wanting to risk getting sick. The gluten lovers with me also really loved their gluten filled burgers. Great price for the quality. Edit: two years later and my original review still stands despite them having grown so much (congrats guys!). i still have not had another coeliac safe burger this good. The fried chicken blew my mind, and the gluten eater with me prefered the gluten free chicken over the gluten chicken. the flavour, texture and how juicy it was was spot on. All I want is a bucket of chicken to take home! Still using seperate fryers for chips and chicken and understand coeliac needs for burgers, even when insanely busy. The gf burger roll is the best I have ever had, it was fluffy, light and didn't fall apart halfway through the burger. The beef patty was full of flavour, juicy and high quality. Thank you for still making the effort to cater for coeliacs. Staff were incredibly friendly and the atmosphere was perfect. I'll certainly visit when I'm back in Perth again and recommend to everyone.

Jalapeno cheese sauce was very tasty. Fries were quite similar to McD's, but very salty. Onion rings were the very thin kind, and surprisingly tasted like they didn't have any salt on them at all. Burgers were okay, definitely enjoyable when hungry, but a bit overpriced. Super thick cakey bun. One staff member was super friendly and helpful, the other was quite the opposite. Overall probably wouldn't recommend.

Very popular spot but are quite efficient in getting orders out quickly. Inside isn't anything fancy, but this place produces tasty burgers that are reasonably priced. They are a bit greasy though, so definitely a cheat meal.

I've had terrific experiences during both visits to RoyAl's. Food is reliably tasty and served promptly, the customer service was exceptional. There's a brilliant selection of interesting beers (including sours) in cans and bottles and on tap. The staff behind the bar know their stuff and are really friendly, so ask them to recommend something novel to try. The Albany Highway strip has sorely needed places like this as alternatives to; cafes for coffee and brunch, pubs with sport on big screens, and restaurants for main meals. RoyAl's offers a place to catch up with friends more akin to a small CBD bar than a 'suburban' cliché. Useful details: The table seating area can be a bit loud because of the hard surfaces reverberating chatter and music, but the other side of the room has booths and couches that are quieter (and more comfy). Lots of parking is available behind the IGA including disabled bays. It's a short walk to RoyAl's and much easier than trying to find a street park on Albany Highway. Making a booking online was straightforward and the venue was prompt to answer the phone the couple of times I've called. Aside: this is a genuine review trying to give credit where credit is due, I'm not getting anything out of writing it other than feeling good for highlighting a place I think deserves it.

What a great burger! The chicken was nice and succulent while also having a crispy coating. Bun was nice and firm which cannot be said for most burger joints. Nice large amount of chips which were cooked well. Ordered via UberEats and it was at my door within 25 minutes, can't ask for better then that! Only minor issue is I couldn't pick which soft drink I want, not sure if it was a RoyAl issue or UberEats.

Boom! Best burger 🍔 in Perth! Unassuming outside. Local Hip Hop related art and graffiti decorate the walls. Friendly, quick and efficient service. My other half had The Winner (a Facebook voted Burger consisting of Popcorn chicken 🍗 , avocado 🥑, cheese 🧀, and bacon 🥓 with a house sauce and shredded lettuce) I had the O.D.B (triple burger 🍔, triple cheese 🧀, pickles and sauces). I think I visited maybe 2 years ago when RoyAls was down the road a little more in its smaller space in Victoria Park. I was raving about this to my partner, but after our dinner tonight I feel RoyAls has lost a little bit of its charm. Po Boy was just meh. Just flavourless and needed something extra to make it pop. Just tasted like bread, and really friend chicken. Chips - what happened to the shoe string? These new ones tasted like Cole’s chips The buffalo wings 10/10 Stanley burger was 5/10 - I had to have it on a lettuce bun because of keto - but the whole dish was flavourless and not how I remembered it. Will come back and try again however. Thanks guys.

My only gripe is when I went to order the jalapeno poppers they told me they don't do them anymore (problem with their supplier) and haven't had them for months. If that's the case change the menu or at least put a sticker over them on the menu so patrons know they aren't available.

So look I've technically had better burgers, but RoyAl's are still great, worth their money and customer service here is awesome. The place is an institution by now. I think RoyAl's makes the best burgers in Perth. On my most recent visit I had the burger of the week but I usually have the ODB. The Victoria Park venue is great with a good selection of beer on tap. The staff are kind and efficient. The only thing that lets RoyAls down is the mediocre chips.

He responded by shaking his head and saying “i’m so busy right now” whilst looking at me as if i had asked to bang his sister. Keep in mind this so called ‘manager’ looked like a Tony Hawk imposter due to his casual wannabe skater appearance and I did in fact capture Mr. Hawk change the song on the laptop inside the venue on this very busy night which was a big slap in the face. Delicious! Tasty american style burgers with a large range of menu choices. The sides are great and generous too. I wanted to try a milkshake but there was no room in the belly left over after the meal haha. The place itself is quite small so sometimes you have to be lucky to get a table right away otherwise you'll have to wait. The strip can get busy so more than likely you'll have to find parking a small walk away from this place. I will be going back again!

They also sell American drinks like Arizona Iced Tea. Prices are pretty standard ($15-$20 per burger depending on what you get). I've never been disappointed when coming here. The only down side is that there is limited seating as it is a very small venue.

My favourite burger place in Perth! Randomly happened upon the place with my partner mid-last year when they were having an eating contest, and so glad that that got our attention! They do American-style burgers and chicken. I've been back so many times and I think I've probably had their whole menu by now - my favourites are the Stevie Wonder burger and the chicken wings. Have brought a lot of friends here too and everyones loved it! The place itself has cool street art inside but it's quite small and busy so sometimes you have to wait a little bit for a seat. Staff have always been nice and do their best to accommodate requests.

Awesome place if you want a dirty old American burger, that you know is gonna taste good. A lot of places try to do American burgers, but they come off bland, or generic, and they charge ridiculous prices, simply for the novelty. RoyAl's are masters at them, and they don't charge an arm and a leg for them either. It was so busy when we were there, but that to be expected on a Saturday at lunch time. I highly recommend this place to everyone I know.

Very hit and miss. Sometimes it's great, other times its bad. Seems to be dependent on which staff are in. We've had excellent burgers from there every times we sit in, but we have also had a chicken burger that was so cold when we got it home and opened the box the cheese hadn't even slightly melted so must have been cold when the burger was built. Also check your food before you leave if you get takeaway they get it wrong 90% of the time and won't do anything about it later and also depending who is on can be quite rude.

Myself and my family had a table reserved for 12 last night (friday 7/3) and had a wonderful experience. Not only was the food amazing (everyone loved it!), but the service was incredible. There was a line out the door whilst I was ordering for everyone, and the young man serving me was incredibly kind and patient with me. I have a disability so I talk quite slowly, and even had to walk back to my table when I forgot my husband's order, and even with a line out the door, this gentleman was so patient and didn't stop smiling for a second! Such a rare find in hospitality these days, it made my night (as well as the food 😊). The food was brought out to us by a lovely blonde lady very quickly given how busy it was, and she was also very kind to us given how much I saw everyone running around trying to cater to everyone. Myself and my family were so impressed with the service and food quality, i will definitely be returning and will recommend RoyAls to all of my friends and rate this restaurant very highly!!

I really like this place. In recent years opinions on perth burger places and fried chicken joints has become “more heated” and opinions more contested, so if you have another favourite, then great. (like I also love Lola’s for example, but it is also a bit of a trek for me) But this place is great for burgers and fried chicken and the sides that come with such foods, of course washed down with a ice tea. I don’t think I have ever said now when a friend has suggested coming here. (My gluten free friends can also get great food here btw) I would like finish by suggesting you try the Frankenstein. I understand if you think it is more of a ridiculous stunt than a legitimate meal option, but somehow it just actually works. Sometimes putting all of them flavours in just means you don’t really get to enjoy any of them, but, sometimes it’s a special treat, this is one of those special times.

The first 2, though the menu gives impression that they're spicy hot, I don't find them hot at all. This place made my day. So gf friendly, they even do gf fried chicken! The guy behind the counter told me eveything except the mac & cheese and the waffles can be made gluten free. I ordered the Chicken Royale and it was SO FREAKING GOOD. The blue cheese sauce and the cheese & bacon tots were also delicious! The burger was awesome, if a bit formulaic to mimic popular styles with the pickle, brunoise onion, ketchup and mustard topping. Patty had lots of flavour and walks a fine line on the salt front and the bread is decent. The sides let it down though. Fries quite soggy, the mac and cheese was bland. My partner tried their popcorn chicken which was also soggy and had a strange spice overpowering the coating. Oh, I almost forgot but shout out to the bottomless ice tea, that was on point!

Went down here with the boys at the soccer club for all you can eat wings last Wednesday.... absolutely loved it. The wings were excellent and as was the the chicken popcorn PoBoy. A busy (but not too much), BYO eatery, this place is gaining a reputation as a very cool, casual place to chow down some wings and hang. My husband and I went in on a weeknight, ordered wings and some other chicken things, and whilst I indulged in the never ending iced tea, hubby went and found a close bottle shop. Technically there's a BYO charge, and fair enough, but they are lax about it.
