Have to say, I was surprised by how good this was place. Their OG shakes are a tad pricey for their size but they are good nonetheless! Where I found a lot of value was their burgers - they're big and delicious! The Riff (beef patty and fried chicken burger) was a beast to eat and super tasty. Definitely will head back here! On top of the food, the service was some of the friendliest I've had!

It was pretty good. The fit out is a nice surprise and change from the norm. Very much your "American burger" place. Melted cheese on the fries are excellent. Unusual to see so much fresh jalapeno. There is room for improvement but definitely an experience worth having. I recommend their jalapeno poppers and wings, yum!

From the outside this place looks run down and unappealing. But inside is truly a surprise, well themed and very kid friendly with an outside rooftop Basketball Court for the kids! A venue that lends itself to a perfect 18th/ 21st birthday. The staff are extremely friendly and service was quick and effective. The menu is based around burgers which are trendy and generous. The chips/fries aren’t the best and could use some work. But overall highly recommended. The only access is by a decent set of stairs. Would be difficult to get an elderly person up the stairs.

For me Downtown Brooklyn has the best burgers in Penrith followed by Beefy's Burgers who are awesome too and only a slight second. The buffalo wings here are amazing and the chilli fries are great too. Also this is a good place to eat in (before cov1d) because they have an outdoor area with a basketball hoop for post meal fun. Ignore the 1 star reviews because they are from people who have never ate here but are angry because this place does controversial but hilarious facebook posts.

This place is amazing! It's so tiny on the outside but inside is way bigger. The decor is rad. Music too. The milkshakes are amazing looking. Doughnuts or other things on top. The ginger beer mojito was pretty good (though it is nothing fancy....some ginger beer in a mojito.) The food had great potential. My husband said that the burger (Half Poppa) was just too much, though he didn't HAVE to eat the whole thing,) and my Statten Island burger was overcooked, as was my sons hotdog, but would've been soo good if it wasn't. Basketball hoop outside. You don't see that often. My husband and daughter are huge bballers so they LoVed that. Has great potential.

Popped in here with the missus for lunch on a rare day off together and sadly left bitterly disappointed. The venue is lovely with some awesome decor and striking layout. Was quiet when we went in about 50 minutes before it closed for the small break between lunch and dinner. Staff were very friendly and great service. Sadly the burgers were pretty poor. Missus had the Lil Cease and I opted for The Riff - which has potential to be an amazing burger. Sadly you see photos from the likes of Sir Eats Alot where they take some serious time and effort into making it look good. Unfortunately I'm just a big bald bearded fella walking in off the street. The burgers both came in baskets with the fries and were aboslutely swimming in grease. Seriously I gave this 0 Jengas because as soon as I removed the stick holding it together to lift the burger it fell to pieces everywhere. The bread bun may as well have been non existent. This is one thing that infuriates me. I'm a man who likes my burgers pink in the middle but the meat was still raw. The missus was put off - I ate mine but in reality they were undercooked. The menu says they cook pink which I love but these were still undercooked. I hold my hand up and should have said something at the time but in all honesty she was finished and she wouldn't eat it even if it was recooked and I was boiling over with my burger being a soggy mess. I wouldn't have been too constructive with my criticism. The patties could also do with some seasoning they tasted quite bland. If you have tried Burger Head I think they season very well 90% of the time but unfortunately these could do with a wee bit of work. The chicken in the Riff was lovely - skin was perfect and tasty if anything it was a little overcooked but still very very tasty. Chips were not much better again swimming in grease which ruins them and makes them soggy. Tasted like they had been reheated or refried and not in a good way. Disappointed as again they looked the part and if all of it was done right if could be amazing. Don't know if anyone reads these reviews from the shops but simply - take care with the burgers and don't have it swimming in grease. Same with the chips. Cook the meat properly - I love my steak and patties cooked medium rare. I ate it and it was rare and it wasn't great. Especially for someone like my missus that was her immediately done with her meal. Doesn't take much to check a patty before you send out. Visited for the first time 05/08/20. Had read both good and bad reviews and decided to try for myself. Burgers and all food were all very Delicious, we all agreed, even my fussy eater kids. Prices are a bit expensive but it’s great quality, good food, good service. The basketball was a fun and novel activity too. Going again - in October - as my son has decided it’s where he wants to eat for his birthday.

We visited yesterday, I ordered the Big Poppa burger which was so tasty & a huge portion which I loved. However we also got a side of the cheese stuffed bacon wrapped meat balls. The beef and bacon were very dry and bland. There was no cheese inside either. We got table water with our meals which tasted a little odd, not sure what the issue is there. The theme was spot on however it was very dark inside considering it was day time. I did notice a few of the lights actually needed replacing. The service was okay but our waitress didn't seem too happy or welcoming. It was a great experience in the end but mainly because of how good that burger tasted & the theme.

My husband and I ate here last night. I could not fault the service at all. Our booking was for 6:45pm and we were waking out the door at 7:20pm. We weren’t rushed at all, they were just so attentive and quick! I got the Mac & cheese burger and didn’t really enjoy it. It was too wet and ended up being quite sloppy. Each component alone was really tasty, it just wasn’t practical on a burger. My husband had a different burger which he enjoyed. We shared the loaded fries which were nice but the liquid cheese would be so much better if it was replaced with melted cheddar instead. Overall, i’d come back but would order a more standard burger and plain fries. 10/10 for service though!

We love trying new places, particularly burger joints. The atmosphere was great, beautiful artwork. The shake was nice, great presentation. The meat patties were cooked well but unfortunately not enough sauce, overall the burgers were quite dry. Onion rings were okay. The wait time was much longer than anticipated - we understand that there is high demand on weekends however, some notice would have been appreciated. For the price we paid, it was a below average to average evening.

We always try to visit when we are in Penrith. Such a cute venue, has a basketball court where you can shoot hoops while you wait for food/have drinks. Food is great however bit disappointed they removed our fave (meatballs wrapped in bacon with maple sauce), but the chicken wings are yummy too.

I was incredibly impressed with my first experience at the Downtown Brooklyn tonight! At first my daughter and I went in to order take away but the place looked amazing so we decided to dine in. The prices are great for what you're getting. I didn't realize how big the burgers are and they are amazing! The deserts and shakes are awesome too! Can't go wrong with the Cookies & Dream shake!! My absolute favorite part of the experience was our lovely waitress Renee. She was not only extremely patient with my indecisiveness but she also kept having a chat with my daughter who is 3 and just making our experience really lovely. Thank you Renee! To top it off it has a basketball court! Would definitely recommend and will definitely be going again 😊

We had our birthday there on Saturday night, and everything from start to end was amazing! We use to frequent the White Swan, and by golly they have changed this place phenomenally! The interior decoration combined with the atmosphere really gives you that classy authentic feel of Brooklyn, America. Made a booking on Saturday and I loved how easy and straightforward it was to book a table through there website, although I would recommend that on the website you put up the menu and photos of the food and the restaurant. Honestly absolutely amazing customer service, food came out fast, portions of the food are good too. If you are a meat lover then these burgers are bomb! Never heard of the place but had heard good things. The place was rammed, make sure you book - who'd a thought you would need to book for a burger bar haha! Wait was around 35mins, which was ok compared to most restaurants on a Saturday night with no seats available. The burgers were amazing, if not the best I've had. The atmosphere was great and I can't believe I never knew this place existed! It's something that I'd expect in the city, not in the riff lol! A very trendy restaurant and bar. The interior is modern and reflects the vive of Brooklyn. For those that are energetic there is a basketball ball court. There is the option for indoor or outdoor dinning. Burgers where tasty and staff very friendly, food service quick. The only issue was finding this restaurant. It's where the old white swan restaurant upstairs. Would probably suggest they put an illuminous sign out the front.
