Comments of Ume Burger
S. L.
Have eaten and gotten takeaway many times. The burgers are always good my favourite is the fish burger. Doesn’t disappoint when you’re looking for a burger that hits the spot. I really like that it is not too saucy. It’s a nice spot at Barrangaroo especially on a sunny day.
K. H.
Great burger without the mess!
My experience with burgers have always been a messy one. Ume burger is different in that everything fits so well together. The burger is well balanced with a good ratio of bun, meat and salad, each working in harmony to give you that burger experience.
Price is reasonably priced for the quality and location. You won’t feel like you got a cheap eat but at the same time, you won’t feel like you’ve overspent.
Staff is superb with their service. Everything was delivered very timely with accuracy in our orders.
M. D.
i went to ume burger today, and i got the classic cheese burger,i tried burgers in so many places here in sydney, but this one was the best,it was so delicious, that i orded the second one,and the staff are very nice and friendly, i highly recommend ume buger...and before i forget i love the waterfront view of this place...❤️❤️❤️
J. J.
Love any Japanese fusion food places and Ume Burger is it for a Japanese inspired burger. I got the karaage, fish katsu and pork katsu and they were all really delicious. My favourite was the karaage due to their delicious sauce!

Went here for the first time for dinner. Beef Burger is not bad along with the chips. Would definitely have this again
J. W.
Lives up to the hype. Tasty burgers and friendly staff. Took a signature burger ($14.90)as a take away during a weekday lunch hour. Had to wait 10 mins to order and 10 more mins to be served but worth it.
J. M.
Delicious burgers! I ordered the special teriyaki burger and the fish burger. Not a typical fish burger person but damn was it so delicious! Keep up the good work guys 👏🏽👏🏽 thanks for being covid safe
D. M.
Ume made all of my wildest burgers come true!
The double pig combo of Pork Katsu at bacon is going to BLOW your mind. Even though it might be only salt, the seasoned salt on the onion rings or lotus and potato fries is incredible. Friendly service and fresh, hot burgers - I am in love
L. M.
Amazing French fries! The spices used are unique and flavourful. The Renkon fries are also really good - last more like a thick & crisp potato chip! The burgers were also really good - fresh and juicy! The bun is also really good! Light, fluffy and fresh! Would highly recommend trying one of their homemade sodas - we had strawberry vanilla and tasted just like strawberries, the vanilla flavour was not strong at all! Great burger joint in a great location! Service was excellent and fast - staff was very nice!
H. M.
Decent Japanese style burgers - especially the tonkatsu and chicken katsu. Aim to get there early if going for lunch to beat the office crowds. Also a great alternative to Belle's got chicken if they're busy
G. H.
Highly recommend these burgers. Ordered the cheese burger. The beef patty is so juicy and not too greasy and nice combination with cheese and patty bun. They serve tap beer as well. Loved the Kirin beer.
E. M.
Great place, great food, beautiful location, staff is friendly and helpful, prices are honest.
I was honestly surprised by the quality of the food, probably the top 10 place for burgers 🍔 in the whole city of Sydney...if you love burgers you have to stop here guys!! I did not take a picture of chips and onions I had because we started eating them straight away but trust me they were incredibly good 😍
We will come back here every time we can... we loved it ❤️
D. T. (.
If you love burgers this is a fantastic Japanese eatery that you must make a point to stop by. Great views of the harbor at sunset makes it even better. Make sure to try their house made all natural sodas!
D. T.
This place is great. Really nice location Infront of darling harbour and a 10 minute walk from Wynyard station. Staff where nice and friendly, with fast service. Very chill and relaxing place to have lunch and hang out with friends. Chips where great, well seasoned and has a hint of onion powder that made it amazing. Ume Burger was also amazing, the Mayo, cheese and tomato make for a really unique and wonderful taste. The creamy Mayo is what makes this awesome burger even better. I highly recommend this place, great tasting food and awesome value.
E. C.
Hands down the best beef burgers in Sydney!!!
Staffed by very friendly Japanese, this restaurant is located facing the picturesque pier. The place is clean and suitable for couples, families, and groups.
We ordered the Ebi (prawn) burger and double patty Ume burger. The Ebi burger tasted good and isn't oily despite the deep fried patty.
The divine Ume burger is literally out of this world. Appearing like a humble cheeseburger, its tender, juicy, and flavorful patties ooze beef tallow and taste like they were still on a cow 10 minutes ago! The toasted soft and fluffy milk buns had a thin crispy crust that held together very well. They must have used a generous helping of high quality tangy European style cultured butter and American cheese which intensified the flavours. Their Ume special sauce and rice vinegar brought balance to all that creaminess. I'm in LOVE!
We didn't try their soft-serve but will definitely come back for it and more bovine goodness!
GOCHISOUSAMA DESHITA!
A. L.
Must try the Ebi burger! Not on the menu so you have to specifically ask for it. 1 star off for the fries being a bit cold and also running out of the onion rings… but we would definitely visit again.
R. P.
I went to Ume Burger (24/11/2021) for lunch at midday with a group of 9. I had ordered a chicken karage burger, but never received it after waiting for 1 hour. I raised the matter on Google reviews and the team at Ume burger immediately addressed the issue. Thanks
K. T.
If you feel like burgers with a difference this place is perfect, plus you can't go wrong with chips and onion rings with umami seasoning as an add on. Totally recommend the fish burger, kimchi, seaweed salad and the kirin beer! The staff are friendly and helpful providing good service too :)
V. M.
One of my favourite burger spots to have lunch during the week. Their menu has a few staple burgers like the Ebi or karaage that are unlike any in Sydney. They've also got amazing fries and fried chicken to share.
A. D.
Among all the burgers I had in the past ten years, this ranks into top 5.
It’s very simplistic yet all the materials blend perfectly. Won!
K. L. (.
A great modern fast food place. Love the Japanese fusion burgers!
All the items I tried were amazing:
The menchi burger was amazing with a delicious pork Katsu patty, sliced cabbage and mayo. The pork Katsu was also juicy and tender.
The ebi burger was also really juicy and tasty. I like the sliced cabbage and mayo options with it.
The karaage burger has the same pieces as the chicken karaage ala carte. It has a nice crispy batter, tender meat and juicy flavor.
The fries are also very good. It doesn’t have a crunchy or crispy batter but has a nice sour cream and onion flavor.
But definitely skip the soft serve. The flavor was good - malty. But it was very melted and soft. They had to make it 3 times when we got it. There was also some purple powder in the soft serve, maybe sweet potato?
You can self serve some water and ketchup. Try the Yuzu soda; it’s housemade and very tasty! Great to pair with the burgers and fries.
E. I.
Friendly service. Melt in your mouth, juicy and oh so tasty burger patties! Chips are seasoned well and the outdoor Darling Harbour views are perfect for a Friday group lunch.
C.
A Juicy Japanese burger place located in Barangaroo is a place you need to try ! Their Chicken karaage Burger is tender and drizzled in unique, spicy sauce. I recommend ordering a plate of onion rings to complete the meal ! Their chips and onion rings combo is crunchy, golden, and perfectly seasoned. The location itself is beautiful alongside Sydney's ocean and city life. Definitely suggest sitting outside and enjoy the fresh air with your freshly cooked burger. Worth checking this burger place out ! :)
J. L.
The waterfront views at Barangaroo coupled with the Japanese infused burger menu raises the status and experience of this joint by light years!
***** NEW MENU ITEM ALERT ****
There’s always something worth coming in for, but these guys continue to pique our interest with the CHICKEN BURGER SPECIAL. It’s a Crumbed Chicken Thigh, Wuzu Kasho Mayo, Onion Tonkatsu Sauce and Shredded Cabbage
***** OUT WITH THE OLD, IN WITH THE NEW ****
THE FISH FILLET BURGER was brought in due to the Prawn crisis and for now, the Ebi Burger’s hand made prawn cats patty (YUM) stays a thing of the past but Regina tells us it may be back at some point. The Fish Burgers a beautiful hand crumbed fillet with Japanese Tartare sauce (which has textural cubes of egg through it), Iceberg Lettuce and Cheese. Biting into the crust is that rich fish flavor, still moist in the centre!
The ultimate pig out session demanded we smash the entire range of burgers on offer by Head Chef Kerby Craig in one sitting: Yes the CLASSIC CHEESEBURGER is a safe choice and of course does not disappoint but there is so much to love about the others.
The UME BURGER uses fatty Wagyu beef for its mince patty that instantly Japani-fies the classic burger combo of truss tomato, onion and american cheese that has been replicated all over, so it was definitely a nice warmer to my main course.
The MENCHI BURGER pays tribute to lovers of katsu and redefines the burger with pork, mild mustard, tonkatsu sauce, mayo, spanish onion and shredded cabbage. These three burgers are essential to understanding the entire menu – just awesome!
With our sides of Koki Fried Chicken, Hot Chips and Onion rings we played with the Nori Mayo and Spicy Cod Roe mayo. Such great new flavours and feelings are evoked here when coupled with your enjoyment of the classic American style meal you expect.
Great relaxed vibe, long tables and standing cocktail tables with stools by the water make this a great casual destination.
M. C.
Their burgers are delicious. We had the normal patty burger for $14.90 each. Takeout only during COVID-19. Ordered through their website and pick up was ready in 15 minutes
p. f.
Solid burger chain! Quality is great, portion size is not epic but good. Can't fail this place
M. W.
One of the BEST Burgers I had in Sydney!!! Love the Ume Burger and price is ok! Will come back definitely once I visit Sydney again ❤
A. Y.
Food: 5
Service: 5
Fantastic burger in one of Sydney’s best spots.
The meat quality was outstanding, for once no chunks of cartilage in a Sydney burger! The patty was perfectly grilled and salted. The bread and other ingredients inside like the tomatoes were very fresh. They also have their own house made drinks which are a nice change from only having the usual soft drinks.
Friendly service made everything that much better, great place would recommend!
N. D.
I had the Ume burger, which was great. Favourite would be the chips and onion rings which were perfectly crispy. Prices are a little high at $14.60 considering the burger is smaller than average, and chips need to be ordered separately.
Would HIGHLY recommend trying their house made sodas. I had the passionfruit ginger, which was nice and refreshing. The strawberry vanilla is super good for sweet tooths as it tastes like strawberry jam in a drink.
K. W.
Absolutely the best burgers I've ever had! Love love love the Ume burger, and the fries are fantastic with its beautiful seasoning. Every other burger I've had so far is inferior in comparison! Thanks guys 😄
M. C.
The Ume Burger is exceptional, and the onion rings and fries are seasoned perfectly. Staff are very friendly and service is quick. I'd skip the Menchi burger though (it's a bit plain).
Y. M. S.
Spot on! Perfect size of burger and amount of ingredients in them. Both UME burger and Cheeseburger were delightful. Chips were also very nice.
Highly recommended.
S. S.
Delicious burgers with a nice combination of onion rings and hot chips. Mouth watering Renoken chips. Must be going to buy it again!
L. I.
Awesome Japanese burgers which are consistently tasty. Never a bad choice. The Ume burger even has wagyu mince sauce! There's cheeseburgers, pork, fish and even a vegetarian option too. There's tasty sodas, fries in special savoury seasonings and renkon chips.
P. B.
Amazing burgers. Amazing chips and amazing onion rings. Their drinks are nice too.
The flavours they use here are amazing and taste incredible !!
Very nice food, simple menu and nice location.
A. T.
Great tasting burgers. Great location as well. Happy Hour 2x Beers for $10 (Asahi) goes well as does the onion rings and chips combo.
b. b.
Their special chicken burger is a delight! Though a little bit dry it still tasted great. Though their selling point is their chips, the umami seasoning really differentiates their chips from other places!
S. M.
This gorgeous outdoor burger haven is situated on the Barangaroo waterfront. I'm a huge fan of mosburger and was expecting something similar. First impressions are crispy, fresh, satisfying and Japanese styled. They weren't over filling but delicious! Une burger isn't my top 5 in Sydney but it's definitely up there! Definitely take a train and come early, the Barangaroo walk way makes it extremely convenient from Wynyard!
M. K.
I had Ebi (prawn )burger and a bowl of fries & onion rings. Also i ordered an extra Mentaiko sauce.
It's a bit heavy patty as it's deep fried prawn but it's delicious.
T.
I had the Menchi burger with Pork Katsu, Mustard, Tonkatsu Sauce, Mayo, Spanish Onion & Cabbage. Well worth the hype. It was delicious. Buttery bun. Tasty pork katsu patty. Well sauced. Decent service. A must visit when in Sydney.
R. L.
My family actually visited Ume Burger to buy their special 'Prawn Burger', but unfortunately they didn't sell it because it was a weekend. The food is quite tasty, but also quite expensive. Table service is conplimentary and staff are very kind.
R. N. Y.
Unique taste of fusion burger. MUST TRY at least once if you're in Sydney. Location is very strategic, you can have a good taste burger and a view of the burangaroo area.
In a breezy May weather like now, it's so good to have a bite and have a chat with your friends. Recommend their Ume Burger, love the taste of the beef patty.
R. V.
Delicious Japanese style burgers with a rotating special burger of the week. This is a pop location to their main location. The onion rings and crisps are delusion but a little light on the o ring ratio. I would highly recommend the Japanese pickles with any order as the crispy crunch is great texture contrast with everything on the menu
J. N. C.
Serving was a lot smaller than I expected, but the beef patty was really yummy and the sauce was delicious. The chips were hot and fresh, although the renkon chips were a bit soft and not crunchy. Bit pricey for what it is
B. L.
Good burgers, a little pricey and small but good quality and taste. Chips are decent, and there is a good selection of Japanese beers, wine and sake. Nice outdoor area and chilled atmosphere.
A. F.
Really delicious burgers! We tried the Ume burger, full of flavor and definitely a juicy burger. But the chips were cold and sadly lacked abit seasoning but liked the idea of combo with onion rings. Will sure visit again :)
A. A.
Such. Good. Burgers. If you craving for that fried food fix, this will do the job. The meat is so tasty and the chips are perfectly salted - chicken salt maybe? Either way, delicious satisfying food that hits the spot. Enough outdoor seating available, or you can get take away and sit by the harbour!
I. R.
Only cabbage, sauce, and main patties are included.
The taste of burger is not bad.
For me, the burger is too small.
J. K. K.
I have to admit that it was a real good decent burger, but was it worth the price...? Maybe not for me, I'd rather get a burger at a pub with side of chicken wings for the price that I paid. Just my personal opinion.. but the burger was pretty good.
S. Y.
Burger is good, view is good. I might have too much expectation. I ordered a Ume beef burger. Tasty but a bit dry. And the flavour is bit week. It can be better. 😉
E. C.
GLORIOUS JAPANESE BURGERS 🍔! lovely location at Barangaroo, sitting outside, waterfront in a sunny winter Sunday. We tried UMI beef burger and the chicken one, were delicious, the umami for burgers 😋!
S. R.
Good, casual and relatively cheap spot in Barangaroo to go for burgers.
A. T.
Amazing Japanese style burgers. Favourite is the fried chicken burgers - chicken is juicy and crispy, soft bun and delicious sauce. Flavoured chips are salty and heavenly. Would also recommend beef burger.
D. K.
Fish burger here is the neklevel Fillet O Fish Burger... It is so good and I pick it over the cheese seven times out of ten.
Love the burgers here, love the FREE sparkling water and love the chippies or root chips. Samples available at the counter.
My lotus root chips were fully broken, I think I got the bottom of the barrel but still were so good to eat.
Staff are somewhat friendly and the soft drinks are definitely overpriced to so try the water or the beer.
The originial UME burger itself is not for everyone as it looks like salsa mince in a burger but I highly recommend the cheese or fish.
Seats are hard to come by at lunch time and not the easiest to maneuver around with a pram in this district, but this place is one of the best places to eat in the Barangaroo precinct.
A. L. (. i. a. F. F.
Awesome spot in the hip & happening precinct of Barangaroo. Delicious umami flavours complement everything they do, from the Renkon chips (lotus seed root, crispy fried!) to the burgers, unique soft serve flavours & housemade sodas. Definitely a must visit and the service is awesome!
S. O.
Enjoyable venue with great Japanese themed burgers.
Cold tap Kirin beer on tap is a big winner in my eyes.
D. H.
Had the Ume Burger & fries! Seasoning of fries was absolutely delicious! Burger was very tasty, but I wouldn't say it was an absolute standout! Keen to try the pork or fish burger next time. Service was quick efficient & friendly and they accommodated well for us even though it was 10mins till closing time! Overall, did not disappoint!
Y. N.
MUST TRY when you’re in Sydney! The buns were crispy and buttery on the outside, yet light and soft. The patty was also hand-made and so so juicy. We had the Ume burger and the Pork Katsu burger and both were delicious! Highly recommend.
I. M.
One of the most simple, well executed cheese burgers in Australia. I always go for the Ume burger - the wagyu mince sauce is nekk level delicious
R. K.
It's good and I do think I'll go back.
J. B.
Really good burgers and awesome fries! Definitely recommend their Ume Burger, and their hot chips coupled with their spicy cod roe mayo.
K. C.
Situated in the Barangaroo wharf, this is a casual resto that serves good burgers. Had the karaage burger which is decent sized. Bun was really good, the fried chicken was the star and complemented by a good sauce. Good value for 15 aud given its location. Tables were a bit packed together but that didnt bother me for a casual lunch
P. V.
I would give this place 5-stars if the price was a wee bit friendlier, but at least the wharf makes for a nice romantic evening strolling atmosphere.
The food is top notch for me though. I ordered the typical burger but sauced it up with curry. Phenomenal curry. Partner picked up the fish katsu which was splendid as well. I do wish the fries came a bit larger but eh—don’t need those carbs anyways
*he says as he pats his belly*
A pleasant surprise for me was the array of Japanese whiskies available! I probably won’t return to this location, but I’ll definitely pop by the one in Surry Hills!
J. L.
The fish burger is to die for, a must try if you come to Ume Burger, chips were amazing! Beef burger good, but not great.
B. (. B.
Went to Ume burger as a work group of 8 I ordered the Ume burger which is the beef Patty mix. It was juicy and quite nice to be honest. The bread was soft and the meat was packed with flavor. Only downside is the chips they were very salty over packed with salt.
The staff members were friendly and the seating is available both indoors and outdoor.
If you are looking for a juicy burger head over to Ume burger.
y.
Had their shrimp burger n fries. Not bad! Very strong ume flavor. Does that mean salt? Does that mean msg? I dunno
v.
I had the Ume burger and a portion of onion rings and fries.
The Ume burger was AMAZING, best meat in a burger I think I’ve ever had amazing combination to make the flavour come out.
However the only issue was the onion rings and fries were doused in salt, too much for my liking but the burger definitely made up for it.
Y. M.
It’s good but I don’t think I’ll go back.
S. M.
Go to Ume, order the Ume Burger. OMG. 11 out of 10. This burger is absolute perfection: the bun, the patty, the melted cheese. They also serve an excellent range of Japanese whiskey. I am in heaven.
S. S.
Great burger place, awesome burgers, good fries, plus some unusual goodies like lotus chips - love their selection of mayos. They have Japanese and local craft beer on tap, natural wine from Australia by the glass and various house made lemonades including the super yummy yuzu/brown sugar.
If you manage to get a seat at a table close to the footpath you'll get a water spray bottle to chase away any cheeky sea gulls - great fun.
N. N.
Great place for Japanese style burgers. Good location and ambiance. Had the pork katsu burger and fries - tasty and not too greasy!
S. M.
Absolutely delicious but the burgers are a bit on the small side for the price you pay. But so delicious I find myself coming back. The fries with the curry sauce (curry mayo) are just incredible.
K. F.
Absolutely delicious! The Ume burger was hands down the best burger I've ever consumed. Believe me, I have eaten many burgers so my opinion counts on the matter of burgers.
e.
Great service,food and also beer🍺
Try ebi burger and orion beeru🍺
H. W.
Great burgers. Ebi burger had huge chunks of prawn in every bite. Ume burger tasted like a fancier version of MOS burger. Fries were a little bit salty but different. Nori mayo was really interesting to try surprisingly strong seaweed flavours
S. P.
I read that this was one of the best burgers in Sydney so when I needed a burger fix, I knew where to head. I'm happy to report that it did not disappoint. I went for their standard Ume burger - you know something is damn good when you think about every time you're a bit hungry. Perfectly balanced sauce, patty and "additions" ratio. I'd love to go back to try the other burgers but I don't think I can pass on reliving the standard Ume burger experience.
M. R.
Fantastic chips and such a tasty old school burger. Housemade soda is awesome as well. Easy 5 stars.
K. M.
Great location.Good service.
Burgers OK.
A. C.
I had the pork burger and it was really nice! But it was really over priced and small portions. The chips were not fresh when I received them.
G.
Yummy. Gets very busy so arrive early to score a table. Get in on that nori mayo. So good. Wash it all down with some cider. Yum
H. W. K.
Very busy during lunch time but well organized system from queueing to table service. Food was fantastic but the seasoning on the fantastic onion rings is a little too strong (too much flavour) for my taste. If they held it back a little, it would be perfect.
V. J.
Best burgers in Sydney and they serve Japanese beer and various other treats.
C. M.
Delicious burger, liked the Wagyu variant. Daikon chips are also unique and yum.
V. P.
Late review- A couple months back I organised a group booking of 40 ppl.
The dinner went so smooth!
Ume accommodated a Sunday evening booking, even though they don’t open that late on Sundays. They also made sure there were options for everyone. Including a few vegetarians.
I will definitely rebook another function here when things go back to normal.
Also, the burgers and chips are AMAZING! 🤩
THANK YOU UME!!
R. L.
Not bad. Prices is ok too. AUD14.5 for a beef burger which was quite juicy. There's a fried chicken and it was a bit salty.
I. T.
Highly recommended. Different and interesting flavours! Loved the house soda. The umami chips were subtle but great too.
T. S.
Creative burgers and good chips! Not too heavy. Nice water front views, but the birds are a bit pesky.
G. “. H.
Ume isn't the place to go to for something that will make your stomach feel heavy and your mind not wanting to move. Instead these are light, flavourful burgers that fulfil a need for Japanese food and burgers simultaneously. Quick service will have you eating quickly and chilled out music and people make it easy to pick.
A. A.
Very nice burgers with original taste. So far I've been there twice and liked both Ebi and Ume burgers. It's a bit pricier than usual burgers but worth the quality if you're looking for something different.
c. b.
Great burgers!! Delicious! Fast and friendly service. Great house made sodas.
D. V.
Amazing burgers, delicious chips, and quick efficient service!
Did I mention the burgers were amazing??? Definitely a must try🍔😋
A. S.
Decent but not my favourite. They are Japanese style burgers with about 6 different options. I had the karage burger which was decent but not sure it was worth the $14.50 price tag
A. P.
Awesome burgers, the special chicken was excellent with its fine shredded lettuce and tasty mayonnaise, the chips and just good a burgers
J. M.
Best burger this side of Takadanobaba. Ebi fry burger is a fluffy cloud of Poseidon's treasure. Don't forget to get some onion rings with your fries, and do it up right with the fish egg mayo. Yes.
J. W. K.
I need to be honest. I was expecting a bit more. Not bad but also nothing extraordinary.
Y. P.
A bit pricy but worth it. You can never have enough of the Menchi burger. Chips are a bit too soft and dry though.
J. S.
Super easy spot to get a quality bite to eat alongside one of Sydneys most beautiful pieces of waterfront. The staff are friendly and the food is an excellent speedy option for those wanting to get out for a good night exploring Sydneys nightlife.
J. V.
Tasty vege burger! Good chips & good views. I like their origami at the front and Japanese styled fixtures.
M. (.
Chips were really tasty, the Menchi burger was really good too. I'm going to try their soft serve next time.
E. V.
Great service, fantastic food and an ambient environment! Whilst it is a bit pricey, it is worth it!
A. M.
Ume burger with spicy mayo. Decent tasting burger with corporate-lunch-by-the-water pricing.
V. N.
One of my favourite burger places. The burgers are so juicy and their chips have the best seasoning ever. I have been here many times and the burgers are consistently good. Highly recommend Ume Burger to any burger lovers to try!

J. H.
We had the fish burger with chips and fried chicken on the side. Great location in the centre of the modern Barangaroo district however whilst I heard great things about the fish burger, I don’t think it lived up to its expectation. There was nothing special about the burger in particularly the sauce was very average. The fried chicken was salty and tasted frozen. The chips was decent with the Ume salt a great addition.
S. F.
I'm a bit of a burger nerd and this is seriously good burger place. I had the cheese burger and the meat seemed really good quality, the sauce was great and importantly the meat to bun ratio was spot on..Delicious. The value is good too compared to the other pricey options at Barangaroo. Great spot for a burger and a few Japanese beers looking out over the water.
Y. J.
Good simple good burger. Very juicy. Spicy chips were not spicy at all. Very interesting local Japanese drink, not my taste :)
K. L.
Delicious burgers. The best place for a refreshing cold yuzushu spritz in summer.
J. C.
Ordered Fish Katsu burger and it is ok, a bit pricy and the chips are not fresh and crispy.
J. S.
Ume Burger is such a vast change from the original Ume restaurant which I had the pleasure of visiting several times. This was my First time trying Ume in Barangaroo, and it is a fantastic fusion of some beloved Japanese Style foods turned into burgers. Friendly staff, great food. Amazing work guys keep it up.
A. L.
Other the Ume and cheese burgers are great. Nice location with many dining and entertainment outlets
C. H.
Nice place that feature Yuza soda! Burgers are nice. Got the pork katsu budget that the katsu is not dry but juicy.
V. M.
Excellent burgers with a Japanese twist. Meat is cooked and seasoned well along with the chips. The homemade sodas are great, I recommend the Yuzu Brown Sugar. Great view of Barangaroo and the ferries coming in, strongly consider making Ume your work regular.
P. N.
Great burgers and karaage chicken. Friendly staff and great location on the harbour.
C. L.
Really juicy burgers, friendly staff and only place that's really have their kitchen open at 3pm. Ordered a large chips, but think got small. No biggie.
R. V.
Nothing at is best.
Simple burger with basic flavor
Chicken Karage burger with American mustar !??
The cheese is cold and the lettuce is huge without any sauce on it.
Who is decided the menu....
o.
One of my favourite burger joints and where me and my mates regularly have catch ups.
The burgers are juicy and delicious and their fries possibly have the best chicken salt I've ever had. Also the sauces that go with the fries are delicious and fantastic.
Only downside is probably the price of the burgers which is on the more expensive side however the quality of the food and the location coupled with a view of the harbour is well worth it.
J. L. S.
Can I give 10 stars??? Burgers are heavenly. Definitely coming back.

Great food nice location and friendy staff
S. T.
Yummy and fresh burgers. Friendly service.
d. l.
Good burgers, good chips. Nice semi outdoor area. Staff on ball picking up finished drinks and plates very quickly.
A. L.
Burger was ordinary. Nothing that special. A bit too salty for me. 15AUD just for the burger itself.
S. H.
Loved this burger place ever since my sister introduced to me. I ordered the Ume burger. The burger is really moist and juicy. Having Kirin or Orion tap beer along with great location next to water makes a wonderful dining experience.
Z. R.
One of the most amazing burgers ever. Delicious patties and great for families with a large range of different burger at affordable prices. Although drinks are a bit limited there is a extensive whine and alcohol list. Beautiful view and atmosphere.
P. H.
Though some may argue that these burgers are expensive, I enjoy the quality and reliability of two in particular: their pork katsu burger, and their Ebi prawn burger, both of which have a generous, crunchy, moreish slaw that balances beautifully with the crispy katsu. Accompanied with fantastic chips and a cold Orion lager, along with speedy and smiley service, you have a lovely casual spot along the wharf of Barangaroo.
J. M.
A serious burger experience. A thin, crisp and juicy Pattie (how do they do that?) With a wonderful char flavour. Good selection of salads and pickles on the cheeseburger, with a great combination of sauces and perfectly melted cheese. The bun is nicely toasted, shuns the current trend of soft and sweet burgers.
B.
Tried the Karaage and the Ume burger. Both were pretty good. The bun they use is delicious as well. The size is on the small side though, that's why I had to order two. Price wise, it's a bit expensive but understandable considering their location.
J.
Good service and food! Love the prawn Burger
R. N.
Loved the burger! Juicy and fresh. Had it with home-made kimchi. They have a nice menu with lots of burger options
Also nice please to get Japanese whiskey.
The front staff all welcoming and always smiling.
I would love this place to be opened early in the mornings. They open at 11:45am which is little bit late for the rush in the area but not a deal breaker as I will happily wait for them to have their yummy burgers.
M. B.
Best burger in Sydney. And beautiful Japanese beer on tap. I prefer Bar Ume for atmos, but the waterfront location is pretty cool too.
B. W.
The best burgers in Sydney. Always supremely delicious and perfectly cooked. Also possibly the best chips too!! Their Ume seasoning and Japanese mayo are a heavenly combination. The location is pretty great also. Highly recommended!
X. N.
Burgers were a bit oily but the flavours are magnificent. Enjoyed the atmosphere and the location. The price was reasonable for the area and we had a lovely meal. Would recommend a visit to try it out. Try their in-house sodas that they make, which are healthier than the regular coke and pepsi.
S. Z.
Nice place. Hamburgers with a twist. The flavor of the food was good. We tried 2 different hamburgers as well as a chicken burger. The sauce was good. The bread is fresh. Overall taste was good. Good service with a smile. They have draft beer. Ambiance of the area is fun.
C. F.
Awesome burgers, friendly staff, very covid safe and a really fun place in general.
D. M.
It did not live up to the hype. The highlight was the side of curry mayo sauce. The onion rings were nice too, it's a shame I only got three of them along with my serve of not very good chips. The Ume burger was very average.
m.
Heard about the interesting burger options with Japanese influences offered by Ume Burger and decided to try it out myself. The Ebi Burger tasted pretty good with the prawn patty that was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The crisp fresh cabbage was a good balance with the strong flavour of the patty. The burger was done well but at the same time I can't find a wow factor. It seems more like an upscale version of MOS Burger (a Japanese burger concept chain restaurant). Overall, its still a pretty nice choice for a casual meal in Barangaroo if you want burgers that are not your standard flavours.
D. C.
Great burgers! I'll go with the more "Japanese" version next time.
M. T.
Excellent burgers, sides, and drink selection! Great place to go for a very reasonably priced, tasty meal in Barangaroo!
R. B.
The food is AMAZING. No faults. Delicious burgers with fresh ingredients and the sauces are soooo good. The Umami seasoning on the onion rings and chips is so so so good. The best seasoning I've ever tasted!! A definite must go
N. L.
Unique little burger joint with a Japanese spin to it.
Beef burger and prawn burger were both very good.
The downside was the chicken nuggets for kids, not your typical nuggets (might have been from chicken thighs) and my kids didn’t touch them.
Another point is the spice they put on the fries and onion rings, giving it a BBQ flavor which I liked but I’m not sure all people would like.
P. S.
The food was great. The burger rolls are so light and dam delicious. We went at peak lunch hour and it was really busy. The line to order was long but they had a quick turnover which was good. The food was tasty and we would come back for sure.
J. N.
Juicy beef pattie and ridiculously tasty chips or should I say tasty chicken salt! Definitely worth checking out.
A. K.
Place was ok. I ordered Ebi burger which was limited edition, I found the patty salty and oily. My partner ordered Kara-age burger which he liked. Altogether we paid $45 for 2 burgers, 2 drinks and a regular chips, food was not worth the $45.
R. H.
The best Japanese Style burger in town, hands down. Started as a side project of Ume restaurant, but now become their main. They serve the burger on a soft brioche bun and they meats and sauce paired perfectly. I really love their fish burger, and I urge you to try that one too.
J. B.
Great burgers with a good and unusual selection. Matched well with Japanese beers. Good selection of quality Japanese whiskies at reasonable prices. Easier if you speak Japanese.
L. C.
Excellent burger joint that stands head and shoulders above the drivel that's around it. We tried a variety of burgers and everyone came away more than happy. Do try Japanese pickles with your burger. It's the best!
N.
WOW, what amazing burgers. I keep coming back here when I am in the area for work and they are just simply amazing. Everything from the buns trough to the meat and salads are so friend and you do not feel bloated like you do with other burgers. Always recommend this place to any interstate or international visitors.
N. M.
I've had some pretty nice burgers here - always try the specials! They sound weird but the flavours are good
L. A.
Nice burgers but a bit overpriced
J. D.
Great burgers, great location. Will definitely come back. Chips were flavoured well but weirdly not crisp, don't think i liked this. Cheeseburger was solid AF and the ebi burger had some great flavours and textures going in.
A. S.
Really liked this place! The burgers were really tasty and not dry at all! The beef was cooked on point with pink bits #keepsydneypink. A tad pricey and doesn't come with a side of chips standard which is annoying as you end up spending over $20 for a burger and Fries, however that's the price norm of barangaroo. Staff were very friendly, hardly waited long for our order either. Very crucial you do not arrive after 12:30 otherwise expect crazy queues.
M. P.
Cheese burger is nice and juicy, the chips are nice with some seaweed salt flavour that is growing on me, but still not loving it. Really nice service and a great spot to be
B. F.
Good burgers, I’m a fan of the double Ume. Chip seasoning is nice and unusual. Staff are too quick at packing up, often removing napkins and turning off heaters while customers are still eating. Hours still state open until 10:30pm but in reality close is 9:30pm these days.
h. M.
So delicious!!I My boyfriend had the cheese burger and I had the Tonkatsu pork curry burger, , which I would definitely recommend and the flavour was very Japanesy. We also had their house made soda, passion-ginger was my favourite!
M. C.
Seriously tasty Japanese inspired burgers, with perfectly combined toppings with views of the harbour. The ebi burger is the winner followed by the veggie tempura burger. Lunchtimes are busy but the food comes out quick.
K.
There's generally a line to wait but they have a efficient order & deliver service in place. A tad pricey but expected of gourmet burgers, good variety of burgers & sides available, beverages were quite good, some unexpected Japanese beers & ciders available. Taste wise was average, a bit hyped & portions were acceptable.
R. S.
It's ok, it doesn't quite live up to the hype as others reviews.
Maybe it was just my luck, the burger delivered had a soggy bottom bun. 😟
M. T.
Good burgers but really love the chips. Service can be a bit hit and miss sometimes. It can get very busy and crowded so try and get there before the lunch or dinner crowds for a table.
J. A.
Amazing food at reasonable prices. The chips are really well salted. The burgers are perfectly made.
C. L.
If you're going at the lunch rush, good luck getting a table. Either head there before or after all of the business people. The burgers are actually delicious and juicy and the daikon radish crisps are a must-try. Due to the rush, the service is a bit slower than your average burger joint, but it's worth a try if you're not in too much of a hurry. It's got lovely views to the harbor and ferry, and the open breeze makes it a delightful place to get outside.
K. C.
After a friend described the burgers as OK, I was hesitant to try this place.
However, the burgers did NOT disappoint at all and the chips were delicious (the potato ones with the amazing seasoning!), and also huge (enough to share between 2 for sure).
I tried the pork burger and it literally tasted like i was eating a delicious katsu-don with every bite, but it was a burger. It made my brain confused but my senses were very happy. My friend tried the Year of the Rooster special burger and that was really good too.
I'd say the *only* downside was that the Japanese-style vending machine sold cans for $4 which was a bit much for me.
I'd definitely recommend and will be back especially for the epic selection of wines/sake/whiskys :)
Q. R.
Very nice burger! So popular that it's sold out before lunch sometimes
Beef is high quality and halal
D. C.
Lining up to order wasn't bad. Menchi burger was great and had a nice crunch, and the onion rings were fantastic. The only downside was that we went on a cloudy, hot and humid day, which took away from the experience. The view, food and service was great.
G. B.
Nice place with a small unique range of burgers. Something out of the ordinary which is enjoyable. Reasonable price for a gourmet burger place in a good location. Service has been friendly on both my visits there. Look forward to going again when in the area.
I. L.
Since first coming here in February 2017, my lover and I have returned regularly, to eat the best burgers we've ever tasted in our entire lives, without fail, every single time. We absolutely adore this joint, and haven't come across any burger place that even compares. I've also brought many friends here, and all of them have loved it! Our menu favourites are the cheese burger, the Ume burger, and the onion rings and chips with umami salt flavouring, and a side of japanese mayo. The umami salt is ahh-mayzing!! The meat patty is cooked to perfection, tender and delicious, medium-rare, with a pinkish hue in the middle, and the burger ingredients are juicy and incredibly flavoursome, and everything melts in your mouth. In conclusion, it's an awesome joint with the best burgers EVER, so definitely go to there ASAP!!
L. W.
Hands down my favourite burger joint. Highly recommend the ume/cheese burger and the chips!!! The chicken burger and their daily soft serves are a highlight as well - oh and the house made soda - cannot fault a single thing on the menu. Check out their Surry Hills restaurant as well!
B. M.
This has become my favourite burger joint. My regular order is an ume burger with chips and a soda, which is a meal I recommend.
The burgers are tasty and surprisingly filling. The chips are covered in a delicious umami salt, making them far more enjoyable than a regular salted chip. The house-made soft drinks are definitely worth having, I recommend the yuzu flavour in particular.
J. H.
We had the fish burger with chips and fried chicken on the side. Great location in the centre of the modern Barangaroo district however whilst I heard great things about the fish burger, I don’t think it lived up to its expectation. There …
S. F.
I'm a bit of a burger nerd and this is seriously good burger place. I had the cheese burger and the meat seemed really good quality, the sauce was great and importantly the meat to bun ratio was spot on..Delicious. The value is good too …
S. H.
UmeGOD! Karage chicken burger was so moist and flavoursome. If you're in Barangaroo this is a must burger joint!
V. M.
Excellent burgers with a Japanese twist. Meat is cooked and seasoned well along with the chips. The homemade sodas are great, I recommend the Yuzu Brown Sugar. Great view of Barangaroo and the ferries coming in, strongly consider making Ume your work regular.
M. Y. L.
My wagyu burger was great but should have a piece of lettuce to balance out meat content
Q. R.
Very nice burger! So popular that it's sold out before lunch sometimes
Beef is high quality and halal
M. A.
Give their triple patty cheeseburger a try! It'll put a smile on your dial!
O. O.
Tasty burgers with a Japanese twist. Chips were okay.
N. M.
I've had some pretty nice burgers here - always try the specials! They sound weird but the flavours are good
B. A.
Some unusual but absolutely delicious burgers! Went with some friends who ordered different burgers each and everyone was impressed with their own. Definitely will be returning
P. B.
Ume is one of my favourite burger joint in Sydney. The taste of the burgers is very unique and simply delicious
A. S.
For a different taste down in the Barangaroo Wharf eating quarter the burgers from Ume will satisfy. While lacking some of the crazier add-ons like Bar Luca may offer Ume Burger has its own taste and style. The Onion Rings are top notch!
F. H.
Nice burgers, definitely quality, but smallish. Kind of a two burger place. The umami seasoned chips are unbeatable. Bar Luca (with Sarah Robbins as head chef) definitely maintains the benchmark on what a burger is, but Ume won't disappoint. The choice at Barrangaroo is very limited and no variations allowed which is a downer. The beef burger would do well with two patties.
O. B.
Delicious burgers, fries and homemade sodas. Service was friendly and quick and the location of the restaurant itself is very nice. Looking forward to coming back to try more burgers.
A. B.
Decent to great burgers. Onion rings here are one of the best I've tried. Staff are friendly, good place to come with friends.
M. Z.
The chips are to die for here with a secret salt/flavouring. The burgers are ok, not extremely good. I've only had the normal beef burger. But apparently the fish or chicken burgers are pretty good too.
V. G.
I’m not a beef burger person but the the Ume Burger here is out of this world. The buns were soft, the beef patties are tender and the vegetables on it are fresh. Yummy!
A. C.
This place speaks for itself. Some of the best burgers in Sydney. Definitely try the original UME Burger and the Fish Katsu. I always buy some Renkon Chips to takeaway as they are such a delicious snack. Everything is always fresh and hot and the service is always quick. Could definitely use more seating at Barangaroo but HEY, it people are fighting for tables it must be amazing.
T. K.
One of the best beef burgers with Blackmore Wagyu beef real amazing recipe
J. C.
There are some highlights and lowlights. The fried vegetarian (kakiage) burger was pretty burger and I think the fish burger was the best but expensive. Prom burger was not enjoyable for me. Dry meat. Chips were pretty average given how many burger places there are these days.
A. S.
Delicious vegetarian burgers, onion rings and chips (generally). I would've given 5-stars however they've recently halved the quantity of the "onion rings and chips" pack which I ordered almost every week and still charge the same price, the quality of the chips has degraded too.
K. T.
Decent Burgers. Very Disappointed they snuck in mustard on my burger without having it on menu. Friendly Staff. Pretty views. Good people watching. Overall worth a visit just ask what comes on the burger!!!
C. W.
It’s a Japanese fusion burger place. I tried the limited burger EBI, a prawn burger. Average. I don’t like the chips but some of my colleagues do. The reason I don’t like is, the chips taste dry and have too much chicken salt.
V. T.
Burgers are really good, but a little pricy for what it is. They have a Yuzu drink there that is AMAZING. Walking to the location is nice, but the restaurant itself has the atmosphere of a crowded bar. Ideal for solo meal or with a couple of friends.
D. F.
Amazing restaurant, the Ume Burger is an out of body experience. Couple that with the crazy umani hit with the chips and some fried chicken with cod roe mayo and it's close to a religious experience. Good range of Japanese whisky and sake too, or beer is an even better food pairing.
K. N.
Try the Ume burger for an Angus beef patty that'll instantly melt, and a bowl of fries to share. Drinks are about 4 times steeper than what you'd normally expect elsewhere away from Barangaroo. Service leaves a lot to be desired too. We paid $30 pp for a burger, can of soft drink and a bowl of chips to share.
G. C. L.
Good burgers though not big on size. Love the yuzu soda!
아. 안.
Ebi burger is so coooooollll i've had in my life.
E. F.
Burger felt like a glorified MacDonald's cheese burger. The chips and onion rings were good, ask for yours extra well done and they come out nice and crispy. The nori mayo was a bit odd but it grew on me.
A.
Best burgers in Barangaroo by a mile. Get the Ume Burger, the Wagyu Mince Sauce is incredible. Japanese beer on tap. Gets very busy at lunchtime, especially on a Friday. Avoid the lunchtime rush and head there later or in the evening
S. N. K.
Good to have Prawn burger after while
M. K.
Pretty good burgers, cold beers, lotus chips were good too. They have a fake owl fastened to the ceiling, i dont think the seagulls were afraid of it, but seagulls are fearless mainiacs. We didn't have any seagull issues. 4 stars!!
S. P.
Nice flavours on the burgers & chips, if only they were hot. Had a very long wait for our takeaway order, and by the time we received them it was unfortunately cold and the chips soggy. Best to eat in.
A. T.
The Barangaroo store doesn't quite have the charm of Surry Hills, but they're a great team with awesome service and food. Plus the water view can't be beat. Food is great, the burgers are a delight.
R. G.
Wow, these burgers are wonderful. All 5 options are based off taste. Cooked to perfection. Friendly staff. one of the best on the wharf offering this kind of food.
W. K.
A Japanese inspired take on the burger shop that is different enough to stand out from it's peers. Pork katsu burger and umami seasoned chips were both delicious and like nothing else I had tried before. Highly recommended.
J. D.
It was pretty good but doesn't really stand out from the many other excellent burger options around the Sydney CBD these days. The pricing was quite reasonable, also the house red was decent.
C. S.
Lovely place, fun food ideas and nice drinks but nothing like the Ume restaurant that used to be here. This is a good place for a quick lunch, or a evening drink and snack, but please Kirby, bring the amazing fine dining of Ume back to Sydney! Your food was the best in town and I miss it.
A. d. M.
Beautiful burgers and sides. Great location and setting. The present burger is exquisite and so delicious! Highly recommended.
V. S.
Friendly staff and crispy burgers... Don't forget to try the chilli sauce with onion rings and fries bowl..
M. P.
Have come here every few months since they opened and usually great Quality control has gone downhill a bit 17/1 burger bun drowned in melted butter with such fatty awesome beef this is a shame chips stale and overly salted a bit disappointing
V. G.
Great options and each one is different. Recommend the Pork Menchi but my favourite is the veggie burger. I'm not a vegetarian but the flavours in their veggie option are out of this world!!
M. B.
Great vibe, got most of the sides which were good. I ordered the double ume which tasted good but the patties were well done, I prefer them medium rare.
M. C.
Nice tasting burgers and they even got their own sodas which is quite nice
J. S.
Great burgers and good selection of Japanese beer and cider.
J. M.
Best burgers around Sydney hands down. The classic UME my favourite. Chips seasoning amazing. Awsome chicken nuggets. Friendly service. Great view and atmosphere. Now a regular customer with friends.
S. L.
Great burger and chips. Chips have a fancy salt on them
S. H.
UmeGOD! Karage chicken burger was so moist and flavoursome. If you're in Barangaroo this is a must burger joint!
H. B.
Great place for a Japanese inspired Burgers and very fast getting your order. The Karage Burger is my favourite. Highly recommend if your in Barangaroo and want a quick lunch.
I. L.
Felt it was very overrated on the Instagram. Burger was not bad but small for the price it charged. Ordered renkon (lotus chips) which was then given in a plastic bag only. Very disappointed
C. K.
We had an Ubereat delivery from Ume Burger. Menchi Katsu burger and Karaage burger were quite nice, but Onion rings and hot chips were soggy and too oilly, so we couldn’t eat any after one bite.....
A. C.
Burger was good but probably expected more given the quality of food that used to get served up at the old Ume in Surry hills. Better elsewhere but a good option if your in the area.
H. W.
Great service, really nice japanese style burgers (ie slightly smaller, but full of flavour). Nice location next to the water
I. H.
Probably the best burgers I've had in Sydney. Not cheap, but you're in a premium location. Good selection of Japanese beer.
A. V.
Great burgers.. tried the ume and it was really good..
J. C.
Ok burgers, nice fruit wine.
S.
Went to the Barangaroo outlet. Loved both the Ume and chicken burger... Their fries are delicious... It's very busy during lunch hours so make sure you book a table..
P. I.
Amazing unique Japanese inspired burgers, really enjoyed my experience.... The chips.and sauces were spot on... Will be making this a staple durning the week... Great for Friday burger and drinks
R. H. I.
Legit. Photos are on wife's phone but a good burger isn't photogenic. Wagyu beef with grill char is special on it's own... Especially when the staff recognizes your bushido cello samurai shirt
K. H.
Solid burger and nice service. Nothing spectacular however.
L.
nice ocean side, kirin tap beer n juicy hamburgers!!!
Y. M.
Amazing burgers, great staff, ice cold beers and their home made soda is ridiculously good! Highly recommend! Great spot for a drink too!
e. m.
Ume epitomises what I love about Sydney; you know life is good when you can chow down on a burger with a cider in hand, waterside at the buzzing Barangaroo precinct. Unpretentious, delicious, casual dining. It's a tight menu but executed well. The fish burger with Japanese tartare sauce in a soft milk bun just melted in the mouth. A side of lotus root chips offered the obligatory crunch. Plus there is soft serve ice cream! Add great company and it's a formula for a perfect mid-week foodie rendezvous.
R. S.
Great burgers but the chips were only average. We tried the green tea and chocolate ice cream, which was interesting but not great (couldn't really taste the chocolate at all).
J. B.
The chicken katsu burger is excellent, and so are the chips. This place is great for dining in or take-away. Would highly reocmmend!
E.
Loved the renkon (lotus) chips while ordering, loved the Ume burger, loved the Japanese fried chicken and the seaweed salad. Oh and love the ginger passionfruit drink. Love the friendly service. Love everything here.
J. G.
Solid Burger Joint. I ordered the Chicken special Burger on the day, was not disappointed. nice location to just watch the boats go by, a nice small selection of japan beers also.
L.
Try their mochi. It's actually pretty good. As for the burger, I think it tastes just okay. I remember it tasting a bit on the greasy side. They're usually open pretty late, so that's good.
P. K.
the fries are huge. quite nice. take away fries get soggy tho
J. K. (.
Ume burger is a must visit place – if you aren’t that keen on Barangaroo then head to Bar UME in Surry Hills. Everything these guys touch I just love. Their Japanese inspiration and originality in food make it one of my top venues of 2017 so far. Ensure you get that fried chicken and if the Ebi Burger isn’t on the menu I am sure a pork or even fish katsu burger will be to your liking.
Full review is now up on Spooning Australia :).
J. A.
It gets really busy around lunch time so I do recommend either coming during off hours or rustling up a group of 8 in order to reserve a table. Everyone enjoyed their food. Recommend this place for sure 👍
D. Y.
Love the fish burger - the best burger I’ve had in Sydney! Also the umeshu goes great with the meal, I highly recommend!
R. B.
Love this place after a bridge-run from Kirribilli- the perfect reward. The veggie burger isn’t great though. Quite greasy and mainly cabbage.
m. p.
The best burgers i ever had 🤤🤤
Such a great location and the customer service was impressive
The seasoning of the chips makes me wanna come again 😅
Great going guys,
Keep up with the good work 😁
Cheers!!
C. O.
It's good. The ume beef burger was tasty. A bit pricy. With chips and burger we feel a bit too oily for th set. Staffs are super friendly and provide awesome service
S. T.
Delicious burgers, awesome views, what a package! Renkon chips (lotus root) are a must, and if you have room left, please try the Hokkaido soft serve.
Wonderful!
M. H.
Try their Ebi Burger, it's something different
J. B.
Nice burgers, not cheap. The fries are very good. The ume sodas are quite inconsistent, sometimes awesome, sometimes meh.
H. T.
Fast service, decent portions, no booking needed for parties below 5pax, great view. Definitely recommend.
P. B.
Fresh fast Burgers with a unique Japanese flavour twist. Dining area overlooks Darling Harbour. Fabulous on a fine day.
S. S.
Food and drinks were great. Service is great. Nice location. Would absolutely go again.
A. W.
Always, always delicious. Food comes out reasonably fast too. Beer menu is great too! One of my favourites spots in the area.
y. a.
Friendly staff, great food.
I. W.
Good flavors and textures in fresh, well-constructed burgers. Both the prawn (ebi) and pork (menchi) burgers were a little too salty in our opinions.
R. A.
Great burgers with twist of Japanese flavours. absolute favourite! staff could do better at listening to customer requests.
B. B.
Delicious burgers, great alcohol selection including tap beers and Japanese whiskies + excellent spot by the wharf gives this establishment 5 stars in my book
K.
They charge 10% extra if you use your card on Sunday! Otherwise my karage burger was good
M. F.
Delicious burgers. Nice beers - recommend Little Creatures PA or Orion. Good service, friendly staff.
G. “. S.
One of the best burgers ever! Friendly staff, excellent location. Worth the price.
B. A.
Burgers are pricey but well worth every penny once you take that first bite. And the nori mayonnaise.... :O
A. D.
Great location. Burgers are tasty but a bit small for the price. Chips average.
T. L.
Ume dishes up some pretty tasty burgers. The Ume burger is the pick if you're looking for something classic with a Japanese twist.
A. B.
Great, tasty burgers. Lovely chips and onion rings. Really reasonably priced and a beautiful location. Recommend 🙂
K. D.
Burger was okay, chips were amazing and really yummy.
M. Y. L.
My wagyu burger was great but should have a piece of lettuce to balance out meat content
N. O.
Great Burger but the fries are mediocre
C. Z.
Burger is good and the service is really fast!
M. A.
Give their triple patty cheeseburger a try! It'll put a smile on your dial!
L. H.
Great food and cosy Atmoshpere. Views aren't too bad also .
T. N. (.
Delicious food, but the beef burgers leave a bit desired because the parties are a bit like Maccas. I highly recommend the Pork Katsu burger!
J. S.
The fish burger and chips were amazing.. very delicious
G. M.
After visiting a couple of times, I have to give them credit.
The fish katsu burger is simply amazing.
Well done.
E. S.
Great place to eat and learn about burgers.
J. H.
good burgers, bit pricey for the individual little things but worth a try. does get boring after a little while tho as the menu is quite short.
A. L.
Classic burger was quite good. Will go back to try the other more Japanese style burgers. Pricey though.
D. C.
Staff were so accommodating to us and our children. Food was awesome and cheap. Perfect quieter spot for families as other places seem to have more people drinking outside them
C. J. M.
Great staff. Lovely speaking to the woman at the counter and getting her recommendations. ALL our burger orders were amazing.
A. M.
Absolutely amazing burgers and service! I thought my pork burger was a bit pink inside (it wasn't, that's how it's cooked) and they immediately cooked up a new one and delivered it to my office! Thanks guys!
G. B.
The Ume burger is good but the Fish katsu burger is even better. Waiting times are good on a busy weekday in lunch time and the prices are just as high as in other Barangaroo restaurants.
J. S.
Tasty burgers with a Japanese flavour, good location. Pork burger want that tender, but the chicken, beef and fish were great.
S. S.
Burgers are great. Japanese style Fried chicken was ok, tasted like pork rinds.
M. D.
Great food, friendly service... What else would you need?
P. B.
Pricey but the Ume burger was very tasty, and so were the chips, with some flavour on them I've not had before
P. G.
Burgers are pretty good. Chips aren't great and the popcorn chicken was a bit of a let down.
D. J.
The burgers are just as delicious as the owner! Super tasty and always on point!
P. N.
I've been disappointed with Burgers in Sydney. This place does them the best. (So juicy!) Good happy hour deals as well
J. W.
The Ume burger was very nice. I'd like to come back and try some of the others. Even at the peak of lunch time the service was fast too.
C. H.
Great Japanese style burgers (Try the Ume Burger). Awesome spicy fries too. Top spot for a quick lunch or dinner.
J. M.
The burger was good and was reasonably priced. On the ume burger there was a sauce that overpowered the burger a bit, but it was still good.
A. K. R.
Really nice fish burger and house made soda. Only wish they were more prepared for the promotion they had because I could see a lot of frustrated customers. But I'd come back again!
M. H.
Love the Ume burger! From the bun to the patty, this place really know how to put together a great tasty burger.
E. T.
Pretty nice and tasty burger. If you are after a nice burger in a great l oocation then is a place to go.
G. O.
The burger was very tasteful (it's on the small size though) and the house made passionfruit ginger soda was delicious.
G. R.
Tasty burgers and chips. Vegetarian options available. A bit busy and slightly overpriced. Great location and atmosphere along the Barangaroo ferry wharf
A. W. C.
The oil isn't fresh so the deep fried food gets a bit dark. It's not disgusting though. It's just average so I give it 3 stars.

The bun is too soft, good Pattie. Disappointed because a good burger you need to have a proper bun not a flacky one.
D. C.
The karage chicken was good. Burgers were decent but would have expected more for the price.
C. C.
My burger patty was undercooked(?!) and fries were cold. Yuzu juice and onion rings were pretty good.
I. W.
The food and the staff was great , would defiantly recommend going here, especially if you want a really good burger
L.
Honestly, some of the best burgers in town. Always perfectly cooked. Strong recommend!
T. L.
They have an excellent and original prawn burger, chips are delicious, it was an ideal stop to wait for my ferry 🤘
N. Z.
Nice place but not my favourite.
Burgers are best made by the Americans lol. Very friendly and product nice.
C. T.
Great burger, had the Pork one - crispy but still juicy, the seasoning on those fries was next level too.
S. B. L.
Tastes like a freedom
E. L.
Good fries and onion rings. The veg burger is wayyyy oily though... couldn't eat it. Probably better for carnivores
K.
The burgers are decent but nothing mind-blowing. The renkon chips were stale and not appetising at all.
N. K.
The only vegetarian option is Kakiage burger and it tastes GOOD. Added Renkon crisps to make it a combo. No complains :-)
J. W.
Excellent burger! Good pricing.
Relaxed dining by the water.
Good Cold Beer Too!
A. S.
Well priced and I liked their buns! Everything was tasty. Only downfall was they only give you 3 onion rings!
B.
Came here for a friend's birthday. The food was amazing and they had a nice view on the day. Definitely would come again and recommended it to family members.
H. T.
Burgers are pretty good, location is great giving you a fantastic view of the harbour. Definitely try the wasabi mayo with your chips
D. S.
Great burgers. Not a fan of the mince meat as it makes the burger too sloppy. Chicken burger is delicious though.
T. M.
Asian twist on burgers and fries. Delicious food, great view and very reasonable prices.
A. C.
Great burgers. I went for Uma burguer, enjoyed it. We did have a nice experience and a great view.
T. C.
Yummy burger, right on the water. Busy at lunch time weekdays.
M. B.

It was a decent place, the burgers are average, however, the price is on the higher side
S. M.
The menchi / katsu burger is delicious - and the yuzu + brown sugar soda is super unique. One of my favourite restaurants in this strip.
R. M.
Great burgers with an Asian taste. They serve alcohol as well so you can go there for an after work.

Tasty burgers with a Japanese twist. Chips were okay.
S. L.

One of the best burgers that I have had in a while. I got the double cheese one and was perfect!!
M. M.
AMAZING BURGERS and chips - honestly can't recommend this place enough AND the prices are so so good for the quality and the staff are lovely. Perfect for your lunch break feed or dinner😍
T. C.
Burgers were all bland. They're ok and they look good, but the taste is nothing special.
B. J.
Great burgers. Great Naked burgers too. They come wrapped in lettuce, instead of bread. I recommend it
B. R.
American like burger: big, juicy, and messy. The only down part was the long line and the limited seating in the area. But overall.. worth the wait.
J. C.
Fries tastes amazing, better than the burgers there. I wish they could've bothered controlling the seagull situation there.
T. H.
Best burgers in Barangaroo, Make sure you also get the onion rings and fries!
J. S.
The Karaga burger is good bad, but needs a little more flavour it's also a little too greasy, fries are great.
A. H.
Good, fast service, and fuss free food menu with plenty of drink options. The fish burger was definitely a standout!!
J. M.
Was up visiting family and decided to try this place. Will be back next time I’m up here. Loved the pork burger. Delicious

Great burgers and chips. Quick enough to get on a break. Will be a regular customer now.
A. D.
Good flavour, but pretty small burgers for the price
C. z.
Good burgers, liked the mix of onion rings and fries. Only had draught beer.
M. V.
Nice burgers. Great spot for team lunches. Missing a star due to price. Should be 10 dollar burgers
p. t.
I tried veggie burger and it's good, some might find it a bit costly.
B. J.
Had the cheeseburger. Well constructed and tasty. Chips and onion rings were pretty good. Would go again.
E. D.
Good burgers, spice on chips is so good!
J. E.
Amazingly awesome burgers! Try the chips and onion rings, too 😀
M.
Ebi burger was way too salty and oversauced. Needed more veggies to balance.
최.
Ebiburger was so so so awesome

Also view is so beautiful, fantastic :-)
I will go onemore before i go back to korea
R. P.
Decent, but not great, burgers. Chips were quite good. Price is a bit high for what you get.
K. S.

Delicious burger, and I loved the fizzy drinks made in-house as well

Simple selection of burgers. Good karage chicken and powdered salt on their chips.

Try the extremely tender hand crusted Ebi (prawn) burger.
S. P.
Best burger place in Sydney.

Beautiful burgers and Scotch.
Cheers, will be back

Tasty food. Great for take out. Orders often get mixed up, but staff are very friendly and throw in extras or a freebie to make up for it.
D. T. b.
One of the best burgers I have had. Will definitely be back !!
C. L.
Good burgers but the outstanding item are the fries and the nori mayo!
F. A.
Burgers are okay, ume chips and onion rings are the real stand outs to me
B. J.
Simply sophiscated. Good variety of burgers. Can be busy and not easy to find a seat.
S. H.
Burgers good, but not amazing. Great chips though. A bit expensive.
B. M.
Great american style burgers. Fast and efficient service considering the burgers are made fresh
J. M.
These burgers are all awesome! But the winner was the Pork katsu burger with extra bacon
N. B.
Delicious burgers. Always nice to sit by the water at Barangaroo if you need an outdoors burst!
