Easy access for anywhere around Adelaide and they have Pokies & bars at hotel.
Recommend for adults to stay non-school holiday time from interstate.

L. M.We stayed here for 2 nights and the experience was great. The only downside is when we checked in, we were given a wrong room number. So when we got in the room, someone was snoring and already sleeping in it, then we went back to the reception and was told my room somehow got swapped, this gave us some goose bumps as we didn't know someone was already in the room. The girl working at the reception was lovely though, she did apologize to us and gave us another room. In general, the experience was good
P. H.Nice place with a good feel to it. Lots of different areas to choose from, whether it's a snug little alcove you prefer, or a large group dining experience, a spacious front bar to a warm lounge area. I like it.
V. B.I love coming to the Arkaba Hotel for some relaxation. The rooms are always awesome and this time we were upgraded to the Loft Spa Suite for only an extra $28. The room is massive and awesome.
J. S.We had an great one night stay at the Arkaba, hotel interior is little oldfashion but the room was very clean and the staff friendly and helpful. Good value for the price with easy access to a small group of shops.

W. N.Great hotel in the wrong location. We stayed in a spa room and loved the art Deco decor and the dim almost 1940' lighting. The facilities are excellent but being on a very busy road, we could hear the traffic all night, but the hotel is well worth the money. We'll be back for sure.
L. S.The food was nice but I ordered a full schnitzel and it came out the same size as another on our table who ordered a half. On complaint the staff came back with a message from the chef who advised he cut the half too big. Kudos to the staff who tried but that excuse from the chef I thought was an absolute crock. I'm not sure we will be returning soon as even trying to book for a table of nine was difficult.

Stayed around anyways with some friends for a few beers. New menu looks and tastes good! Looks like maybe a new bar manager? Not sure, but I think her name was Julie or Julia (sorry, I can’t recall) but she did an amazing job throughout the shift overall with her service and just awesome attitude, felt like she really wanted to be at work and was happy to chat with customers. Will come back again, love this Sports Bar! :)

D. C.We organised a last minute function here due to no longer being able to have it at home with covid restrictions. The function manager, Rachel, was amazing. Responded quickly to every email and answered all of my multiple questions without complaint. The room was beautiful! We were able to set up early and Elise helped us with any requests. We were a bit worried when we realised there wasn’t a bar in the room (for drinks packages) but the staff were on the ball keeping the bottles of wine full and constantly circling for drink orders. The food was great and there was plenty of it. Loved the donut wall! Good pricing for both alcohol and food! Any requests we had were quickly sorted. Would 100% recommend to anyone looking to have a function here.
h.I enjoyed the meals that I was served. One of the apprentices who preps the meals did an extraordinary job in marinated the pig intestines. His name is Isaac Shatwell. I very much enjoyed my stay. Thanks cuties x
g. v.Visited on a Tuesday night for a meeting. Looked comfortable and clean, but not to my liking. Too many TV screens, too many entrances, had the feel of a rabbit warren.

L. B.Have been coming to the Arkaba for years and have never really had a bad word to say about the pub (apart from the crazy waiting times for ordering food!) until being greeted rudely the other night by a girl with blue hair behind the bar who just didn’t seem to want to be there.
R. A.Staff were friendly upon arrival, got told our room was upgraded (from standard twin) - from what I could see the difference being queen beds instead of doubles.. Only here for the one night. Could easily park in/around the hotel/supermarket. Room was spacious enough, though the shower head was below average and the bedside remote for all lights, TV and air-conditioning was a little odd. Loud music played until at least 1.15am so was not happy about that at all, if I knew it was that noisy we probably wouldn't have booked here.

N.Stayed here for one night. Must say the room was amazing - can’t complain one bit! But the breakfast menu wasn’t that great. I got pancakes and they weren’t cooked well, tasted very doughy. My partner said his eggs Benedict weren’t too bad!

K.If I could give more stars I would- service, staff, food, ambience absolutely everything about this hotel is amazing ! Stayed for one night but I wish it was longer. Everything right here; restaurant, bar and pokies.

M.We stayed in the executive suite at the Arkaba hotel a few weeks ago for a footy game. It was a few kms out of the CBD but was worth the travel. The rooms were very clean and had great facilities. The bathroom was a huge favourite with the spa bath and TV above it. The hotel itself has a bistro, bar, gaming area and constant room service. Great place to stay if you are wanting somewhere not in the middle of the craziness of a CBD.

R. V.Stayed here overnight in a Luxury Spa Suite, beautiful room, very spacious, awesome bathroom and great shower.
While this hotel / venue is a bit dated, it is very well maintained and has a nice vibe about it, you certainly cannot complain.
S. H.Lady on reception was friendly and helpful, our room was clean and our bed very comfortable. The bottle shop has a great variety of SA wines and our meal and service in the Bistro was great. We have been before and will go again when we have appointments on that side of the City. It's close to a lot of other good restaurants and the CBC.
P. D.Good quality meals, friendly and happy staff. My room is nice and has a really good size spa bath. The hotel as a whole feels like a mini Las Vegas hotel but without forcing guests through the gambling section. I like this place. I am not into gambling, but have a rare flutter.

C. L.I like going to the Sports Bar for an easy meal, because of the casual atmosphere and friendly service. Some staffs are the bar can be rude during rush hours, which is unfortunate but I would still recommend this place for people who wish to get a good bite at a pub!

Extremely close to 2 excellent shopping centres, fast food outlets, the city and the parklands! It has plenty of FREE parking on site. Furniture chairs - 2 chairs not comfortable to sit on at all.
Bathroom/toilet - very spacious shower with step down into shower which is nice to keep water in shower an not on floor. Toilet paper placement was my only gripe. Kinda have to reach around wall to get to but understandable in toilet location.
Overall id be happy to stay here again.
K. T.Came last Friday night (25/09) with a large group (consisted of support workers and individuals with a disability). Service was amazing, the girls taking the orders were very patient and accommodating with each of the group members and they were extremely bubbly and polite.

However; drinks were good value so it sort of evens out. Service was great. Didnt wait long for our food and it was good tasty fare. This hotel has a lovely relaxing feel. E.On Easter Monday evening, us 7 noisy women enjoyed catching up in a large dining room that was otherwise empty around a beautiful tree trunk table that 10 people would have been comfortable at too. Our meals didn't take long at all to come out. Such friendly and helpful staff. Great atmosphere and lighting.

Stayed in a ground floor room and it was quiet, comfortable and very dark. Beds were excellent and very comfortable. Highly recommend it.

S. S.Was there for a birthday party in the Fullarton room. The food was good but maybe a bit more choices and amounts would have been nice. The service was good regularly checking if anyone needing drinks. The biggest issue I found was the temperature of the room was way too high requiring you to find relief outside of the venue. Given that the room has mostly glass doors for walls it was not great for privacy but did allow those who were interested to see a TV outside which had the football on. On the whole we had a good time.

T. G.Had a great steak here the other night while catching the Strikers BBL game. The sports bar had a pretty decent range of sports on and was a friendly atmosphere, not too loud either. My only neutral comment was the pints of Super Dry were priced more inline with an inner city bar rather than suburban pub, acceptable but not cheap. Will come back for sure :)

S.Good little hotel if you want something easy and quite has a separate entrance so you don’t have to go past reception but unfortunately doesn’t have a gym or pool they do however offer 24/7 room service and the foods pretty good. Would recommend for someone wanting a easy low key place to stay also having Coles, foodland and a chemist next to the hotel is very handy
T. W.The locals tell me some interesting lore about this place. I found the rooms clean and well appointed. I would stay again. There is a convenient bottle shop in the building and a Woolies located within a 2 minute walk. It is quite busy on the weekends and had a lot of live entertainment and shows.
A. R.Let us down with bug events. Changed their mind about agreements before and after, wrecked the overall enjoyment and opportunity to celebrate. Manager from England no idea, rude and aggressive before we started, closed up on us earlier than agreed. Don't respect our regular input and use of venue. Poor effort and collaboration guys.

K. L.Rooms are OK the bathrooms are lovely and some have spa or deep sit in baths which I love. Its a busy hotel and is fairly moderate in price range. Lots of pokies in the large rounded ground floor area. Dinning is separated well to enable no sound travels through. Bottle shop stays open to midnight and fairly moderate selection and is OK for price. Find other bottle shops slightly cheaper in local area.
C. A.Went here for a grappling event last night and it was excellent. Such a good sized area with plenty of viewable space to see the comp. Good sized bar upstairs and seating area.

K. R.I really liked this place the rooms were lovely and clean and the bathroom was gorgeous with a TV for the spa YES. We ate in the bistro which I loved had a great atmosphere to it and the meals were beautiful, just missed the 1 star to make 5 because the male bar staff lacked personality they were quite rude actually they need to learn how to smile if they're working in hospitality at a hotel.
P. W.Went there for the Quizmister Grand Final. Good night. We had to line up for about 35 minutes just to place the order for our meals. One ordered the meals came out in a reasonable timeframe and we very nice. Staff generally friendly and helpful. Place hasn't changed that much since we use to go there as teenagers 35+ years ago.
B. G.I know the saying you get what you pay for, but as we found our room we noticed most doors had a new security pad but ours didn’t. Maybe we got one of the last rooms that had not been renovated?
The sleep overnight wasn’t great, lots of noise but we were on a low floor and it was Xmas night.

In the morning there was large motor noises, I know this was out of the hotels hands but phoned to find out what was going on as we had not slept..
Thinking they probably wouldn’t be able to do anything I was pleasantly surprised by the excellent customer service. She apologised for the lack of sleep and offered to move us for the rest of our stay.
What could have been a 2 star review with other complaints turned into a good experience. Customer service wins every time. Whoever helped us should be commended. Merry Xmas
T. J.The hotel was very clean and well presented. We were there for a function and the staff were all polite and attentive. The function room was nice, although a little outdated in design with the wood panelling and mirror celing. Over all a positive evening.

T. J.I was there for the Adelaide Knife Show in 2017. I admit I was so tired from the show I mostly slept in my free time. The room was absolutely spotless. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was good. I liked how they have a central control between the beds for the TV, lights and AC. Check in was fast and check out was literally under 30 seconds. This hotel has its act together. My only gripe was like the review below about getting the air con adjusted. I turned it down as low as possible and it was still blowing out hot air. I eventually turned it off to cool down. If that was fixed it would easily rate five stars. I was just too tired from the show to mention it to them at the time. Great place to stay. I’ll definitely be back again next year.
2018 Update: I stayed here again for the 2018 Adelaide Knife Show. I was late in booking a room and had to get a more expensive Spa Room. I was too tired to have a spa but like the year before the room was spotless and it was quiet so I got a great nights sleep. This time the aircon worked perfectly and I had a perfect stay. I've updated my rating to 5 stars. I'll be back in 2019.

M. M.Attended the Arkaba for a work training event. We were able to find a park easily with plenty of free onsite parking available. As we entered the building there was a sign showing us the direction to the upstairs area to where our training was being held. Once seated and our session started l noticed that the room upstairs was modern and had all the necessary visual aids and a sound system so we could easily see the guest speakers and the screens from any area being seated in the room. Coffee, tea and Lunch were provided for us which was simple but delicious with vegetarian and vegan options available plus all allergy requirement meals were catered for. This room also looked to be alot of fun for an evening out with music and lights for dancing or perhaps watching a comedy or stage show that were being advertised on flyers or tv screens. Accommodation was also available at this venue. Close to two large Supermarkets and speciality shops. Would recommend for a workplace training venue.

Very friendly staffs, ample free onsite parking, Good Breakfast (pay additionally), wonderful bistro sports bar (one of the top ones I visited) with big wall mounted TV's, quite dining area, dazzling casino! Really liked the place. Surely will stay there, if I visit again! Highly recommended!

A. S.The best sports bar in Adelaide besides the casino with regard to the amount of screens and different sports playing all the time. You don't need to huddle around the only screen with the game on and you can see the game from any seat in the sports bar, as well as a game from a different sport at the same time. Haven't stayed in the rooms and haven't spent any time in the rest of the hotel. Staff could be nicer though.

P. W.This is a great pub and very well located for the types of events that we need. Particularly for those coming in from the rural areas. However as a venue for small group meeting it can be a little noisy. Although we can do make do with it because of it's great location for our purposes.
M. R.The upstairs function hall was spacious and easy to navigate despite over 200 attendees. Issues with EFTPOS equipment meant a more than hour long line to order food, but after the delay in ordering the food was good quality and delivered quickly.

I bought a burger and it came with 6 chips, yes 6. They may be saving a few bucks on potatoes etc but reputational damage from stingy serves would be more. I ate my tiny burger and then went and had a meal elsewhere, it was that small. So my advice is drink there but eat somewhere else.

Its a very nice venue with polished wood octagonal dance floor, boothes all around and a bar to one side. Wish there were changerooms. Better beer selection.

Very convenient and located very well especially for someone like myself that does not know the area as foodlands (Adelaides version of a supermarket) was located across the road, bottleshop, a woolies. They offer 2 bars, one with a restaurant, one for the pokies, outdoor seated smoking area. Breakfast also provided, $18 for continental breaky plus bacon and eggs on toast. My room was clean and provided clean toilet, shower space. Walls very thin so could hear next room but no real problem. I found the nightshift employees a tad more helpful and friendlier but no complaints.

Not to keen on the hallway music, as the first night I thought some one had their tv too loud and on the morning I was checking out, I had to leave at 4am to catch a flight. There was a obvious meth user in the exit on a push bike with a scooter on his shoulder asking me the time and telling me that his Auntie Susan Swan ran the place.
It was strange thw person how was driving me to the airport wouldnt get out of the car..the meth head road away with out any problem but you cant be to careful.
M. T.I'm not a local, But sometimes like to head down to the Ark for the live music and some of their event's. I would describe the staff as very young and immature!! When I headed to the bar for a non alcoholic drink, I received the worst body language and stares. Then I noticed the young bar tender, whatever you call them, gossiping with their work colleagues!! And laughing and staring at me. I'm in my late 30's, I don't consider myself to be old!! And shouldn't be treated like I done something wrong. Twice this has happen to me, this year in 2015!! The staff need customer service training. I have noticed, most of the staff are under 30!! Since when was 30 and over old ?. Please wake up and hire more mature adults over 30, for the bar and other sections of the hotel. Mature people need to work as well, not just the 18 and under 30, have a nice day.
