D.I didn't stay here as a backpacker, I lived there as a child in the late 60s to the early 70s.
We lived in the second one from the right at the bottom for a while, then moved to the upper floor for a year.
It was an awesome place back then, the whole of Glenelg was, that is until the developers came in and spoilt the place..
I always loved these Terrace houses though, i'm glad they are still standing!!
L. V.Place seemed clean - facilities ok - kitchen with plenty of crockery, payg washing machines, washing line, 2 showers on my floor (3) - i didnt use them but they looked ok. My bed was comfy- linen (but not towel) supplied. No handtowel or dryer in the toilet though. The girl who checked me in couldnt be bothered to show me anything i.e. the back stairs we access at night to get to our rooms, nor kitchen or other facilities. I felt she needed a slight attitude adjustment. Lounge room could of done with a couple more sofas - they only had 2 plus a vinyl bench. Good location. Free parking you can get at the right time of day around the surrounding streets. If you're from adelaide or SA and you live here, you cant stay because, as i was told "we're an international hostel only and locals cant stay - but for this one time i'll let you because you dont live in Adelaide itself" (i live 70 mins away). Glenelg has great cheap food and plenty of beach. Different girl who checked me out seemed nicer.
D. D.Great place. Wonderful atmosphere from all. Its good to see people from all over the world, mingling in with each other. Excellent location and a 2-3 minute walk to the beach and bars. If you tell Tony (the owner) that you support Celtic, you'll get on great.

Showers were clean and worked well.
Rooms were clean and beds quite comfy, all single beds! No bunks!
The only downside I could see is the wifi did not reach the bedroom. Had to go to the living room, but it was free and worked well.
Glenelg is a beautiful place and this hostel is definitely worth the stay if you are looking to be in this area. Only a 25 min tram ride into cbd.

A. W.Private room with shared bathroom... you can not beat the location. Hostel crew were on top of every little bump that came up... many guests were friendly and happy. Hilarious that the bar downstairs applies to all rooms so don't b.y.o y'all....having said that when it came to the green I swear most guests were packing it smelt like a Snoop Dogg concert 🤣 I anticipated it I'm just peeved they didn't share.
H. J.Great location, closed by the beach and restaurants. People could have free car park for 2 hrs at Heigh street from 9am-5pm. Shower is bit small but clean. There is no heater in the 6- bed dorm room, but it's okay in June though.
r. b.This hostel was a cosy little place. Awesome exterior and the rooms were reasonable for a hostel. Nice and clean too.
I left some shoes behind and the reception staff is being very helpful in having these returned for me.

E. W.Tony at reception was a star - after losing my passport, my credit card & missing my flight home i needed somewhere to stay ASAP. Tony was very sympathetic and patient with the situation - even gave us a beer on the house. Legend!
j. s.Location is really good and room is nice but there are not enough showers and toilets. Crowd is above average backpacker age, free breakfast is very basic but free.
M.Great atmosphere with friendly guests and staff. Quite a lot of long termers but still easy to join in. Only downside for me was no power sockets near the beds.

c. c. (. D. W.(Translated) Nice, fairly clean, large rooms with no bunk beds. I found myself well, there is everything, the staff is kind enough. The hostel is large, large kitchen and large courtyard where you can sit and drink the beers you buy at the pub. The only drawback is you can only buy alcohol from the pub and it is forbidden to introduce your own. It was a great experience and I recommend it to everyone.

Bello, abbastanza pulito, camere grandi senza letti a castello. Mi sono trovato bene, c'è tutto, lo staff é abbastanza gentile. L'ostello é grande, cucina grande e gran cortile dove puoi stare e bere le birre che compri al pub interno. Unico neo appunto puoi solo comprare alcohol dal pub interno ed é vietato introdurre il proprio. É stata una bella esperienza e la consiglio a tutti.

古老的英式建築改建而成的客棧，房間是一般的單人床而不是bunk。有免費早餐，晚上有酒吧，有時背包客會聚在一起玩drinking game。吵鬧時間不會超過午夜12點，客棧房間乾淨與否是跟房客有直接關係的，如果入住的房間有骯髒的旅客那房間肯定就不會乾淨。後面有停車場和洗衣曬衣場，最重要的是離海邊超級近，還可以抓螃蟹回去吃！
