Very nice accommodation and service, especially by Andrea who made us feel very welcome. Great value for big room with comfy bed and spa bath was nice. The piano bar is relaxing and the restaurant was good with good wine selection. If in the area, a great place to stay.

We stayed at the House, and as the name suggests it was a fully functioning house with three bedrooms. It was enough for the 8 of us staying. There was a kitchen, dish washer and decent smart tv. The leather couches were comfortable too! Short walk to the barn and to a guests-only 24/7 gym that is clean and well furbished. Would highly recommend!

It is absolutely the best accommodation in the Mount Gambier area. The place is nice and staffs are friendly. We booked the room through accommodation directly. The accommodation staffs especially manager Helena Wang helped us through booking and all the alterations. We found that it is worth to make our booking this way. With all the helps and free cancellation, it made our holidays much nicer.

Stayed there with a tour group over Xmas first of all the rooms are a very good size and keep nice and clean. My room was the premier king suite My TV did not have a USD input but not to worry is just luck of the draw, there are rooms with a TV that has a USB input there are 5 Foxtel channels movies sport news and kids. The surroundings are quite nice trees and roses this would suite a wedding or any other function’s I you have kids there is a sheep paddock across the road. Can I also suggest on the way there buy your drinks snacks etc from outside ie from Mount Gambier the bar fringe prices are very expensive It is about 10k from Mount Gambier it could do with a bus service Would I recommend this place to stay yes? the food is nice too

What can I say, the best hotel I have ever stayed in SA. It is simply a stunning place to chill out. The room is very spacious and good for a family of 4. The restaurant has warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staffs are friendly. The whole facility just feels GOOD and COZY.

Location is a little remote but the hotel itself is really nice. Room was mega spacious, clean and bed was comfortable. It was a little cool when we arrived but the heating and the electric blanket soon fixed that. Continental breakfast was average but pretty standard as far as continental goes. Overall a decent place to stay.

Stayed here for work and it was a great week. Deluxe room was huge and well appointed. Well cleaned throughout and has a massive window looking out over the English gardens. Room service dinners were amazing, try the prosciutto wrapped chicken breast! Breakfast was good too with choice of continental buffet or cooked to order hot breakfasts. Would highly recommend staying here over the other motels in town, well worth the short drive!

Had an awesome night in this beautiful place, was amazing experience. Let's start with the staff because they were very helpful and friendly, booked my room over the phone really quickly, got all the information I needed and they even arranged a late check in for me. The hotel is fairly new/ or recently refurbished. Rooms are clean and reasonably comfortable and big. Got everything you need. Very quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended for one or more nights. 10 minutes from the city. Will definitely go back there again.

This stay was incredible, a beautiful location not too far from the Mount Gambier centre. The room that I stayed in was well worth the price, but a 4 star due to mould on the bathroom ceiling and a used toilet roll when we arrived. The food in the restaurant is expensive and is quite the experience. With breakfast delivered to my door, probably one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had while travelling. If you’re on a road trip and willing to splash a bit of cash, spend the extra money and stay at The Barn. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

The meal was exquisite-one of the finest steaks I've eaten, cooked to perfection and so was all that accompanied it. Service was great too! Had dinner here on Saturday night, very busy but still not too loud or congested. The food itself was divine, with generous serving sizes. Highly recommend. Steaks cooked rarer than I've found is usual, but appropriately so, the meat is great quality and tasted fantastic. Plenty of Coonawarra cab sauvs too is nice!

Room needed a little attention, stained curtains and damaged door. Rooms not as private as photos suggest, continual people walking past back door so have to keep curtains shut. Pretty busy, 4 car spaces but 5 rooms so had to park in another section. Service decent, comfy beds. Good but expected a little more considering the price and location isn't prime.

Always love to stay in The Barn when I visit Mt Gambia. Love the flowers from the garden. Staff are friendly with great services provided.

We stayed at the barn for a night on our way through Mt Gambier and really enjoyed ourselves. The rooms were airconditioned and very clean. All the modern conveniences of home set in beautiful gardens that have been preened and pruned to perfection. Breakfast the next morning was pleasant standard fare.

Really nice rooms in a quiet spot. Reasonably priced. The real gem is The Barn Steakhouse, voted the best in the state. Beautiful cuts, perfectly cooked and a great experience. Will be coming back regularly.

Absolutely uncriticizable dinning experience according to price, service and food quality. Always wanted to go back but just too far for me. Do not expect 5 stars service in a country town steak house BUT the steak is going to get you back for more. I have been to so many high-end restaurants but the steak in this restaurant is just unbeatable. Medium price range for 5 stars hotel quality of food.

This was recommended to us as a great steakhouse for our stopover in Mt Gambier, so we stayed here as well. Steaks were some of the best steaks we've had, and were apparently from the property. Rooms were large and very comfortable.

A great place, serene and enjoyable. Had some minor issues with the lock on the door and a a taps being difficult to turn on in the shower. The rooms have dated well but could do with a renovation soon.

On our road trip from Sydney to Adelaide, we stayed at a lot very nice places, however The Barn was the best. I recommend the fillet steak with gorgonzola filling washed down with an Abbotsford stout, right up my street. The staff were friendly and very helpful.

What a lovely stunning location just at 10 minute drive out of Mount Gambier. The surrounds are beautiful and being a few km from town it is very peaceful. All facilities were great. We felt fortunate to have found this gem of a place half way between Melbourne and Adelaide.

Clean and comfortable! Friend’s car broke down at the hotel, asked for help at the counter. The manager didn’t hesitate at all to help! Called his personal mechanic for her.

We stayed at the barn accommodation because we attended an event held there. We stayed three nights, the rooms were very clean, we had access to free wifi on the first night then one the second night the wifi was only accessible from our 6 devices outside of our rooms so we called the front desk and they said 'all green lights are flashing their end' - it didn't fix itself until the third night - maybe someone reset the router finally. The rooms were nicely layed out inside, but I felt on show when sitting on my bed and I could see people pulling up out front of the accommodation, I think the shrubs need to grow a bit thicker in the garden. We were in rooms 24 & 25. It was annoying when people used the shared outdoor area outside our rooms as a walk way or sitting and socialising area as the large wall of windows provide not much in the way of blocking out the sound - also we heard cars pulling up and driving in and out on the gravel road quite frequently. Only small downsides was breakfast was not included and we didnt get fresh cups when they serviced our rooms and we were told to rince them in the bathroom sink.

Stayed here overnight while I toured Mt. Gambier. Check in was smooth with very professional and courteous staff. Room was basic but cozy and well appointed. Water taps made a rattling, whining noise. A bit disappointed that there was no free bottled water. Check out time (10 am) was too early.

I love going to The Barn with my mum she stays there every month with work , my mum gets looked after very well when it is cold the staff even put the heater on ready for her especially when she arrives late and it is cold and dark , they also have the best free range barn laid poached eggs in the whole country we just love them , and i love to eat in the steakhouse the dianne sauce they give me for my snitty is the beast ! Mum my swears by the fillet mignon and the tender chicken breast !

Nice place with comfortable rooms and lovely gardens. However the aircon fan outside our room made a loud noise making sleep patchy. We reported it to staff in the morning along with the faulty hairdryer and the response was “that’s not normal”. Not brilliant.

Accommodation was nice in a lovely gardened property. All staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Steak house dinner (800g rump and chicken dish) was delicious and drinks in Piano bar beforehand was lovely too. Really good little gym onsite was a nice touch. Bit disappointed in room service breakfast, but breakfast in dining room was good. Overall, very good experience, would be happy to return.
