Everything so far look pretty neat and good, near to city centre in short walk (15min) or we can take the tram 5min away from the hotel. The decor is fine, shower/bathroom is nice, and the carpark has a fair price. Good for the value I would say. One thing that could improve is the lift speed, sometimes it takes a while to leave the ground floor and go up. Highly recommended.

Mid
Previous guests left a fat skid mark in the toilet. The room was pretty outdated and didn't even include basic necessities like a microwave and stove top. There was also a little spider on one of the pillows.
Beds looked comfy otherwise, and the hotel served breakfast.

Convenient and central location, clean facilities and friendly staff.
Management were efficient and effective. There was a misunderstood with our booking - the management were able to quickly resolve and the entire group was very pleased with the outcome.
Looking forward to staying there again when I next visit Adelaide. Would recommend.

Stayed in the motel section rooms were amazing, it was quiet bed and pillows dreamy and opening the door allowed a nice breeze and view of the park. Meals at the restaurant were fantastic fresh, great service and even saw the boss helping out at breakfast. So worth staying and will come back, also easy walk to trams.

We had a great stay at the Terrace Hotel. The staff were lovely and helpful and room was very comfortable with scenic views. We highly recommend the vegetarian breakfast!

Stayed in a king Balcony suite ( room 913) furniture was dated and threadbare but bed was comfy and shower was hot and powerful..... customer service was good but couple of the staff could benefit from extra training ( not knowing what a Vodka & Orange was!) Food was generous and cooked well.
K. B.
We had such a comfortable bed and wonderful views from our room. Breakfast is delicious and parking very convenient. Wonderful staff who are very friendly and helpful, going above and beyond when we enquired about the comfortable bed.
We will definitely be back.

Great experience. Beautiful clean an fresh new rooms. It was the new building with 2 floors of rooms new door to the high rise Terrace Hotel. It is part of it. Very busy place. Great service. Would recommend very highly.

Brilliant hotel. We booked through booking.com for the price and wasn’t really expecting much…just a bed to sleep in…but it has exceeded everything. Great room, clean, balcony, fridge, bath (fridge and bath was needed when you have kids). Dining was impeccable. Wasn’t planning on eating at the hotel both nights, but after the first night I knew there was no need to go anywhere else! Wilson in the restaurant was a fabulous waiter! And a bonus for a solo mum on holidays with three young kids is the 11am checkout…only an hour later than most other hotels, but it’s amazing what a difference that hour makes! Won’t be booking anywhere else in the future! Tram stop down the road, playground opposite, restaurant and brilliant service…5 stars!!!
S. F.
I haven’t yet booked out but am about too! I just wanted to say how impressed I am with the place!
I won a voucher to stay so glad I chose here!
I booked the executive suite
It was 5 star service from the moment I entered to the moment I left!
The reception staff are delightful and the cleaners so friendly!
Kitchen staff just so much energy and expertise!
The room was so wonderful and the bath don’t get me started on that, I submerged myself in bubbles and wine!
Thanks for a perfect stay and I will recommend you to anyone wanting a cbd stay!

The Terrace Hotel Adelaide is a great accommodation conveniently located a few meters away from the South Terrace Tram stop. It has a great friendly atmosphere, bright, clean and tastefully decorated. The staff at the front desk was professional and courteous and made you feel welcomed. The hotel has a restaurant on the ground floor. The room we stayed it was quite spacious, simple yet elegant. It has all the basic amenities that you would need for a comfortable night stay.It has a bathtub which was exciting in itself as not most places have one on offer and it also has a coffee pod machine which is a plus. Toilet was well stocked and the room was well ventilated. Airconditioning was working well and TV had regular free to air channels. It has a safe, ironing essentials, cups and cutlery It would be good to have a booklet with information about the area, where to go to eat and activities on offer as most people who stay are non locals or tourists. The Terrace Hotel Adelaide is great accommodation when you're visiting Adelaide CBD.

Great location , friendly service . Excellent breakfast , beautiful soft bed and pillows with rooms with balcony was a great view of the parks/ city. Had internet troubles , but other wise was a nice stay !
H. D.
Speaking as a gigging muso I found the venue very easy to access and park, albeit it was at 0630, for bump-in etc. Staff were great, friendly and helpful especially Luke T, and Jane. It was great to feel welcomed instead of being a nuisance in their day. Thanks guys.
T. T.
Friendly and professional staff. Breakfast was amazing. Rooms were mainly clean some attention to detail is needed. Overall clean and had an amazing sleep.

First time stay at The Terrace Hotel and we found the room very well laid out. Staff very friendly and the restaurant meals were quite nice. Parking was also available at no cost and the location of the Hotel was very convenient to the surrounds of the city of Adelaide.

It starts all from here. We got a state $100 holiday voucher and had to pay extra $63 for a overnight stay in the CBD hotel along with parking and free brekky for 2A 2K. What a deal in itself which turned out even better throughout the stay. Easy checkin, clean room and beddings. The mattress was super comfy and we had a good night sleep. The best part was the free brekky next morning. Really nice decent breakfast you could choose from the menu included with the room price. The breakfast was equivalent or even better than the breakfast at a decent Cafe. All of us came out super satisfied with what we got throughout the stay.
Thank to SA Government for the $100 voucher otherwise we would have never experienced this hidden gem in the CBD. The hotel being close to tram stop at South Terrace, we took few rides in the tram and went to Torrens river and Chinatown that night and felt like a tourist although we have been living in Adelaide for the last 14 years.
With that price range, I couldn't have asked for anything more. Highly recommended for a night stay.
J. C.
Just spent the night with our two young girls in a 2 dbl bed type room. We had a fantastic stay! It’s a gorgeous view of the city, comfortable clean rooms. The best part was the included breakfast, we had the eggs Benedict, large brekky & kids waffle and it was so good! Way above what I was expecting (when I think hotel breakfast I think basic toast, cereal etc). The staff were so friendly! Despite being under the pump with a line up of guests out the door, the lady seating people as well as taking orders all on her own was so nice and friendly!
Although we’re local residents and wouldn’t normally book hotels so close to home, I would love to spend the night here again :)
K. G.
Customer service was great. Very friendly staff. Restaurant was very nice. Negatives, the bed was extremely uncomfortable, the mattress was to firm, it felt like I was sleeping on a slab of concrete. I hardly got any sleep and my back is paying for it now. My two daughters slept great so I was happy with that. It was annoying that the main elevator wasn't working.

Now under new management. The things we saw will change soonish as they will be going through some much needed renovations.
The room we had was clean and tidy and adequate for our needs.
The shower in the bath was not the best. Base of the bath was not on solid ground so moved under foot. The door handle to the balcony was just hanging on and felt like it was about to fall off.
With only 2 lifts and the bigger of the 2 out of order since June. This on can only fit about 6 people in it. It made things quite hard when lugging our suitcases etc. for 4 people up to the room.
At breakfast time there was quite a wait for the lift. So we ended up walking down the stairs before breaky and back up after as there was a rather large line up for it.
Over all we had a very pleasant stay but the whole complex needs some love and soon.
C. Z.
Good customers service on reception , they do a great jobs on solving problems in carparking and willing to help the cutomers even they are not belonging on booking hotel
K. M.
Reception greeting great. As for rooms ok but been in better and been worse. A place to put your head. Car park fees are over the top
P. S.
I come from country town and go to city evry week or fourth night. Because our hotel always stay for 15 year is close I try this hotel for first time Sunday 10 October I love it very clean and super friendly staff. Will be many time to come and stay here because I love it. See you soon The Terrace Hotel
J. P.
Room was clean and tidy. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast and car parking was included which made this a good value stay for us. Only down side was one of the lifts was out of order and there was sometimes a wait for the other lift.
J. O.
We had our wedding reception here in May. The staff were amazing from the beginning of our enquiry until the end of the reception/stay. The event hall manager Raitchel is absolutely fantastic and such a delight to work with. She listened to everything we wanted and our wedding reception was just as magical as we wanted it.
Our guests sang praises about the food, they said the vegan food was one of the best they had eaten.
The foods were served in large portions, everyone was full. The setup and pack down of the reception was swift and prompt.
I couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding reception. It was nothing short of the professionalism and experience I was promised from the get go.
C. L. (.
It’s a nice a clean hotel. Very satisfied with kind customer services.
C. B.
Lovely stay! My friend won the great state voucher and we stayed here. Easy parking, nice views from bedroom, free breakfast which is great!
R. W.
A neat, clean and attractive hotel. I can highly recommend the restaurant for dinner and breakfast. Very friendly staff.
Beautiful views from our room of the sunset and the city skyline.
E. H.
Excellent. Very nice room. Friendly staff and service. Close to lots of places to eat.
A. S.
We stayed overnight in the HotelMotel next to The Terrace Hotel. The motel stay was excellent as was the restaurant in The Terrace Hotel. The service and facilities were very impressive.
L. S.
I love The Terrace (Sage) I found it thanks to the SA Travel Voucher scheme and have kept going back. The staff are the best, rooms really clean and comfy. I stayed last night and wanted to book again when checking out. I was given the heads up that the best rates are via joining up to the new group and booking on line.
So you can only imagine my dissapointment when I do just that to find that the same room /deal I had last night is now $54 more under the new owners. That's with "discount". It's clear when staying that many clients are regulars/ returning guests. This huge jump in prices is going to lose this lovely Hotel much custom. I even searched through the different booking agencies- all tell me the same. The Terrace is now out of my budget, incredibly dissapointing.
T. B.
Great staff, good room, good location, decent breakfast.
T. &. K. C.
Friendly staffs. Stayed at level 8 facing the west and the city. Great view from the balcony but unfortunately it was 41c and the aircon was under power. Room was spacious and come with a sofa, a desk and a bath also! The coffee pod was good. Room and bathroom is clean and the bed was very comfy. Breakfast also was a generous serve!
M. E.
Renovated, modern room. Nice view to the hills and balcony. Welcoming staff. Easy check in. Pillows overly thick. Air con remote reached by standing on a chair. Temp of air con displayed so large and too bright.
S. C.
Great place, great location, Beds were so comfortable. Breakfast was delicious.
D. R.
Friendly helpful attentive staff.
Very clean and comfortable room....really comfy bed!!
Great breakfast.
Golden North ice cream available via freezer in reception....made at Laura in the mid north of South Australia....we all need to support local business!!
This place is “The Sage Motel”
L. N.
Best hot water supply of any hotel/motel I have experienced.
M. B.
Very well set out, excellent service and amenities, have no complaints at all
R. R.
Was nice but the windows leaked and let alot of really cold air in and the sliding door to balcony was banging all night in the wind
c. s.
Nice neat Hotel. Close to everything. Good clean room and only fault I had was left the room A/C on and when I got back the cleaner had took my card out. Room was hot . No big deal as I just opened window. Be back again for the breakfast
G. L.
Excellent rates,excellent rooms good service.
R. T.
Nice clean, simple rooms, great helpful staff
R. D.
Comfortable rooms friendly staff will visit again
L. J.
Very friendly staff members. Happy to help me when I asked questions. Lovely meals.
R. G.
Very comfortable, Service was excellent especially Wilson in the Dining Room. Lovely breakfast included. Thankyou
B. K.
Stay was average. The room had a strange smell. The staff at reception provided a room freshness which didn't help much. However, the breakfast was awesome.
G. M.
Clean rooms and the staff were very welcoming. The breakfast was cooked to perfection.
D. H.
Nice rooms, check in was simple. Bit disappointed that restaurant is not open Saturday night
J. M.
Staff were pleasant. Room was nice. Views were great. Would’ve been nice to have had basic cooking facilities in house. Also a toilet brush and a dirty linen basket to deposit wet towels etc. Also, it would’ve nice to have been forewarned about the $200 deposit upon check in. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would definately come back again. Thanks.
J. E.
Staff and service is amazing
Well located
Very Clean & Tidy
Lovely Staff

I had a beautiful view of both the city and Adelaide hills. The sunset wonderful.
The room was comfortable enough. I personally didnt like the pillows or the fact i had to step into a rather deep bath to have a shower. The water temp and pressure was amazing!
S.
Spent a night here with my partner and we both loved it. Executive Room was really done well and the restaurant downstairs was fantastic.
L. S.
Nice size room. King size bed. Feather pillows friendly staff. Great views nothing to fault
M. S.
Always been a favourite of mine for budget accommodation and generous vouchers via Travel Auctions. Unfortunately through either Covid or a change of ownership the generoucity has all but dried up. Two for one meals have gone. Complimentary coffee from a barista is now delivered from a machine and free breakfast is a thing of the past.
p. s.
Great service at the desk. Very polite, courteous and helpful. Rooms are great. Parking is as easy ad it could be.Good place to stay.
P. H.
So pleased I booked this hotel for this evening, just ideally located, where I wanted to be. The room is extremely comfortable, bright, airy and the bathroom too. Great toiletries, definitely not average. But what really made it exceptional was the effortless welcome at reception.
C. W.
Friendly staff .Lovely views .Good location .Little Disappointed that breakfast included either Fruit Juice OR Coffee.Bit Pedantic .Surely both should be included .
G. V.
Efficient check in, attractive rooms with city views, good breakfast menu.
R. L. J.
Good Hotel. Parking too tight.
J. P.
Very comfortable room and clean, staff very friendly and helpful
M. J. T.
Nice and comfy hotel, staff we're friendly. You have to pay for parking onsite and also sometimes can be full.
D. S.
Stayed here a couple of times now and the rooms are nice and clean, staff are friendly, location is good with plenty of parking
A.
First of all - I had the best sleep in two years. Their mattresses are amazing! Secondly - the front desk staff is (mostly) super professional and very helpful, as well as friendly. What next - coffee! Each room is equipped with a mini capsule machine (capsules provided, including decaf). Tip: the cups are large and take a lot of temperature from your drink. You might like to warm your cup first to have your coffee hot. There is also a coffee machine available at the reception desk where you can get a coffee/tea 24/7 (for a fee). Parking is 5aud per day for the guests and 25aud if you aren't a guest.
Make sure to check their OFFERS section on the Sage website.

Lovely clean room, comfy bed, amazing spa bath. Customer service was A++. We had a perfect night away. Only down fall was the out of date TVs but otherwise perfect! We will be back!
K. C.
Perfect location. Lots of parking inside compound and also on South Terrace. No need to worry about parking. 5 minutes walk to nearest tram station. Need more effort re cleanliness though.
V. V.
Stayed here for 3 nights. Good value for money. Nice lobby, Restaurants and decent rooms. Customer service was good.
They have 3 properties in a row. Chefley, City park Motel and Sage. We stayed at Sage hotel but the advertised swimming pool is in the third property about 150-200mt walk.
Overall we are happy with what we paid
P. S.
Great service. Staff is absolutely very friendly and helpful . Rooms are nice and cosy . Very clean. Parking is available at a fee.
E. M.
The Service was very friendly and helpful.
Nice lovely clean room, very comfortable bed, great pillows, everything was clean and lovely
I had a great breakfast wich was room served, the view was amazing.
M. J.
Lovely place to stay, close to just about everything we needed.

Gauran Kapur our duty Manager was fantastic! We travelled with our elderly mum (92yrs) and nothing was too much trouble - we needed a room with easy access shower and Gauran was able to arrange that. He was helpful, polite and made our stay very comfortable Thank You
Sue and Sigy

Well priced for a Saturday night with late checkout at 11am
j. j.
The Sage Hotel was clean. The bed was very comfortable. The staff are very pleasant. Parking was cheap. Convenient location.
The furnishings are a little outdated, e.g. the curtains & the cupboard to the fridge was hanging off the hinges, plus the one working lift didn't sound the best. Overall I would stay there again for the reasonable price, location & cleaness.
L. G.
Nice clean room, staff very friendly and accommodating....breakfast was delicious
E. A.
Quarantined and stayed for few more nights. Staff were amazing and easy to talk to. Room was clean and comfy. Shout out to Lucas from the front desk. Thank you so much!!
P. P.
The hotels room was good and it was pleasant to stay. Reception was open 24 hours and the duty manager was polite and friendly to all reasonable request. Room we were staying (me, my wife and child), did not have a microwave oven, but when we requested for it, they bought it to the room. And I believe the only negative I might point out is, you need to pay extra for parking the car at the hotel. The parking spots were limited and you might be lucky enough to find one in the night. The hotel rent was in the affordable range and hotel was having Wifi.
A. M. R.
The Premises were really clean and well facilitated. Parking onsite .
The staff were so helpful and friendly and
relocated us to another room promptly when air cond was found to be faulty .
We will definitely recommend staying here as very affordable and centrally located .
L. C.
Having never heard of the sage before, I was expecting a lot less than I got. Complimentary parking pass supplied at check in. Tastefully decorated and furnished through the whole building. Reception staff nothing but polite and helpful. High quality, sturdy, comfortable furniture. Only complaints were that the room was quite dark, and the house keeping staff removed my coke bottle from the refrigerator.
J. W.
Great place to stay. Clean rooms, comfortable bed, cheap rates, great location with many food and drink venues within walking distance, friendly polite helpful staff. Cheap drinks during happy hour, great breakfast layout. Overall very impressed with Sage hotel. My only suggestion is they need an extraction fan in the toilet/bathroom.
A. C.
I come and stay at the Sage every second month due to study commitments. The location and balcony with price makes it the right choice. Its and the parks are safe.
V. A.
Recommend for good service and great breakfast
X. g.
Great views BUT dining options in hotel non existent, also would have been great to have had at least a toaster in the room so not every meal had to be take away
R. G.
The best place to stay, breakfast service is outstanding very quick and good quality food, front desk staff are very helpful and friendly the rooms are very comfortable and heat valu6
T. T.
Stayed a week, located in the city with parklands, room was clean with all the expected facilities, staff friendly and helpful an the dining experience was great!
C.
The room was bigger then expected, good size. I was happy it had a balcony.
I would have liked the room to have a toaster. There were some stains on the towels.
J. S.
Stayed in one of Executive Suites.... but the room was not clean. Wardrobes had dust and looks like it wasn't cleaned for years. There were no cups in pantry and again it was dirty (dust).
Reception & Staff were great. Breakfast was good and food at resturant was great.
J. S.
The place is in perfect location. The room is good and friendly staff. We stayed there for three nights with breakfast included. But I wasn't happy with their buffet breakfast because for three days it was exactly the same no variety. Eggs no other way always scrumbled.i hope they will change their selection not always <br/>bacon,scrumbled eggs, baked beans.
R. A. P.
We stayed here for 3 nights during new year. We didn't get a chance to check out the hotel facilities as the bed was so comfy so we had plenty of rest. Clean bathroom. We loved the coffee machine. Wifi worked perfectly fine. Location was not too perfect but we didn't mind the walk to the city area.
B. S.
The Hotel is on the outskirts of the city so nice and quiet. Has a large playground across the road, pool is at the hotel next door. The rooms are clean and have everything you need for a comfortable stay. Staff are fantastic, friendly. We asked for a late check out and it was no problem and no extra charge. Price is reasonable. Would stay again.
K. S.
Was good but the swimming pool was under maintenance so miss that
A. M.
Staff are very helpful & friendly. Rooms are clean & comfortable. Breakfast has great choices and the Buffet was delicious only thing missing was the standard Baked Beans which is common at Buffet Breakfasts. Overall experience would stay again & recommend.
E. D.
A nice hotel. I came here for a conference and the food was good. Workers were young but efficient and professional. The beds are so comfortable. They had these amazing scones that I still think about lol good work hotel people
J. H.
Reasonable rates. Comfy bed. Only real fault was shower over the bath, awkward for aging or persons not so flexible.
B. H.
This is my go to place in Adelaide. Close enough to the attractions yet far enough away to escape the bustle.
L. M.
Our room was beautiful but the reception staff were not very friendly. When we arrived we were ignored for about 30 minutes. Came down a bit later to query about breakfast being included they said our booking did not include. I disagreed and they finally looked up booking from our travel company and it was included. Next morning at breakfast they wanted us to pay the manager checked with reception and found out it was included and apologised for the mix up. Staff at the restaurant were very good and attentive
T. C.
Clean, comfortable bed, $100 a night, helpful staff and close to the city. Everything that we required. The Veale Gardens situated about 300 metres away were a bonus.
L. K.
I was upgraded to this hotel as the Chifley is under renovation. it was good but not an upgrade. Friendly receptionist. Cleaning team are doing an excellent job.
R. T.
The hotel was quite nice & modern. Rooms have double beds opposed to 2 twins. Very comfortable & great location inside Adelaide. The hotel staff could not have been more pleasant. Unfortunately the restaurant had quite a bit to be desired. Overpriced, lackluster menu & food options limited.
L. H.
Room and bathroom are very comfortable. Trundle bed was super comfortable as well. Breakfast is nice and has healthy options. Location is really convenient, only about a brisk 10 minute walk from the main street. It's also across a nice park to exercise in.
B. M.
Rooms are clean and comfortable with great showers and amenities. The breakfast on offer is pretty damn good with a nice selection available. The bar at night offers a great selection with the restaurant serving up really nice food.
K. J.
Comfortable and clean hotel, perfect for what we wanted. Quiet location opposite the parklands and the tram is only a five minute walk. Staff were friendly. If you are staying more than one night, you'll have to ask for additional coffee pods for the machine as the didn't replenish with the room service
J. F.
Pros are the comfy beds, view of parklands, $5 A night parking for guests. Cons are the bath/shower need resurface as they're looking well overdue for one. Staff were pleasant and i had a nice stay overall except neighbouring room obviously smoked in bathroom which travelled through the vent straight into my bathroom which is irritating when there is a balcony! I had to get ready in morning in a bathroom that reaked of cigarettes (not nice for an ex smoker).
J. L.
Great spot with park over the road. Sibling cafe around the block. We were here 2 nights and it was comfortable. No hand soap in room which was a bit weird. Overall for price was ok.
L. B.
Comfortable hotel, very reasonable daily parking rate of $5/day,excellent location close to Tram stop and restaurants. Would definitely be back.
L. B.
Always a pleasure to stay here. Comfortable accommodation, delicious food and nice staff.
s. b.
Room was good
Breakfast excellent
P. E.
Location was ok with nice Park view. Room was clean and modern with a comfortable bed and modern bathroom. Room seemed only to have air-conditioning heating rather than central heat but it worked well. Good price I thought. Would use again.
P. C.
Hotel is slightly dated with basic amenities. Room was only half cleaned on the second nights stay, and we had to complain. Fairly well situated on the outskirts of town, 20 mins walk from main shopping and central district. Would stay again, but as an economical alternative to something more central/modern
t. g.
Nice room & view from my balcony, keep close the sliding door of balcony or birds may come into my room. At south edge of downtown, no shop nearby, couple minutes walk to tram stop.
D. B.
Always a pleasure staying here. The rooms are spacious and clean with relaxed, neutral decor. Fasta Pasta on the corner and a great park opposite so meets the whole family's needs. Highly recommend.
M. S.
A nice hotel in a good location. Wifi was inconsistent and air conditioning struggled in our west facing room at the height of summer unfortunately though. Worst was the loud music from a party next door. Not management's fault and the functions only started last month, but they had a license until 12am so it was a late night for us. Staff were sympathetic and we got a refund of of parking. Hopefully they manage to sort things out with Pulteney college's venue next door.
A. D.
A decent, low cost hotel in a great location in the Adelaide CBD. It's away from the busy end and close the tram (which can take you to the busy end for free!). The rooms are adequately sized and appointed, but are certainly nothing amazing. They were generally clean though, even if they could do with an update. Very friendly and helpful staff (even lent us an umbrella after we checked out as it was raining and we had to go meet family before picking up our suitcases and heading to the airport).
D. B.
The beds were very comfortable
E. S.
Nice hotel on the edge of the city. Only thing to complain about is very limited hotel car spaces otherwise onstreet parking or they have a second carpark 5min walk down the road.
D. L.
Friendly staff and very clean, maybe in need of a bit of rejuvenating, getting a little old, car park certainly needs attention, otherwise very satisfied
M. J.
I stayed for a single night and arrived late, about 10pm. The bar was closed, and I really fancied a cold beer. Room was fine, but most of the coat hangers were missing. Ordered a coffee in the morning which came quickly, but was very special. On the whole good value.
M. B.
Beautiful rooms,fantastic breakfast,parking is minimal,check in was easy,good location.
j. m.
Staff are nice and helpful. Zouk (hotel) restaurant had awesome service and outstanding food (only lacking in atmosphere).
Only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is the house keeping wasn't up to scratch.
S.
Don’t judge a book by its cover. Looks old on the outside but nicely renovated inside. Staff were efficient and friendly, rooms comfortable, clean, and well fitout. Restaurant service was quick and food was ok. Great value for money. Location a little out of the way but close to free city trams which makes it easy to get to the more happening parts of the city. Would stay again.
M. V.
For what you pay its pretty great. Very comfortable and on quiet side of city. Close to tram to get to other side or just a short walk.
X. E.
Totally honest review - I was there last week and was quite impressed, although I was given a free upgrade so I'm not sure how other rooms were in comparison. The bed was very comfortable, lovely big tv, the restaurant was buzzing, room was very clean. The only downsides were the room had adjoining doors and I could hear the other occupants television, and the shower / bathtub were a let down. Felt abit old and the bathroon itself was not huge. Most of the staff were pleasant and the parking was free , although occasionally hard to get a spot. The parking is also close to the entrance to the hotel. Summing up, it was a very easy and comfortable stay. Although not cheap at $144.00 per night, it was worth it and I would definitely return.
P. H.
Rooms appear to be recently refurbished, clean, very comfy bed, good bathroom with bathtub, overall well above average and for the room only, recommended. Buffet breakfast is a bit of a letdown, comparing to similarly priced other hotels. Also the park across the street from the hotel attracts some undesirable elements. Saw police arrests and interventions every day from my balcony.
R. T.
Nice place all round however we would have given it a extra star had it had it been more maintenance on level 2 compared to the room we stayed in at level 8.
Close to the city and amenities, handy to the airport. tram near by.
Restaurant has good meals as well, moderately priced.
Staff friendly and willing to help with any issues.
P. “. N.
Love this place. Cheap convenient, nice place
M. D.
We attended the Sage as part of a larger event but did not stay in house (only ate food from the dining room).
The food was of reasonable quality and portion sizes were ok, albeit more basic traditional pub fare than hotel or gastro pub style. They menu could use an update with a more modern style, bit otherwise it's fairly well executed.
Service was generally pretty good too.
T. L.
Stayed in a family room and was perfect for my 3yo and my almost 1yo. It was able to fit us comfortably. The price was very affordable too which made the stay wonderful as well
O. T.
Nice hotel. Bathroom could use a little work but otherwise the staff where friendly and helpful, parking was easy. Room was well appointed and comfy. Would stay again
A.
Nice hotel, plenty of parking available at $5a day.
Unfortunately the make up my room sign sat on the door for 5 hours without anyone making up the room though.
Location is okay, luckily the free tram to the city is only a 5 to 7 minute walk at the corner of south TCE and King William.
P. R.
An ok hotel. Location isn’t bad. A little away from the heart of the city. Rooms are good. Breakfast is ok.
B. M.
Loved our stay. We were upgraded for free because of an over booking mistake, room was lovely very clean and maintained well. Lovely staff and very quick room service. Will be staying again.

Fabulous accomodation, spacious rooms. 5 mins walk to tram and $10 by Uber to heart of city. Parking onsite for $5 a day. Across the road from stunning green parklands. We stayed here for 2 nights and it was just lovely. Upgrade to the executive rooms, all on the top floor, views are great from your balcony.
C. A.
A bit far from the hustle of the city. 8 minute walk to the last free tram. A bus stop is nearer, if you like. Consistent in cleaning the room...
However at night, noises can be heard. I was near a fire exit staircase and some people were going up and down shouting. About 3 days of that scenario. The other elevator was always out of service.
3 stars because the staff was really nice.
No swimming pool.
The keycard sometimes does not work especially when you place it near your phone.
The internet was fluctuating.
K. M.
Normally really good but the room I had this time wasn't as nice. The bed was quite uncomfortable compared to other rooms I've had. Generally a nice place to stay but more facilities like a spa and gym would be good.
R. B.
Our fridge was in a cupboard that was too small for it, and there was mould in the shower. Breakfast was really nice though. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
B. T.
Convenient location, walking distance from tram station. Good size room, clean n quiet.
S. N.
Room was modern, clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was excellent. One small negative, the walls are a bit thin so hopefully you have a quiet neighbour.
R. S.
Quite disappointing compared to other hotels in a similar area of similar price. The room is clean, and reception seemed nice, but that is about it. There is some strange scummy stain on the couch, which along with the curtains looks like it could do with bringing into the 21st century. The rooms have paper thin walls. The private balconies are ok, but they face a main road and the windows are too thin to keep the noise out.
D. R.
The Hotel in itself is great nice comfortable beds, and the size of room is not too small, we were on level 10 which gave us a very quiet room.
Restaurant was good food fresh and tasty no complaints there.
My only complaint is with the way in which they charge for the room their finance arrangement are slow and 7 days after paying my account with an additional $100 for incidentals which we did not use my account is still pending with my bank, effectively tying up my funds.
We stay in Adelaide several times a year and try different Hotels returning to our favourites several times, I will not be staying at Sages again unless they streamline their accounting systems..
J. H.
V clean nice rooms. Only problem was there was no sign in the carpark to say it's only $5 for 24 hours if you're staying at the hotel....we ended up paying $24 which was quite annoying!
S. S.
I gotta say ... not sure if they deserve to use my name ... it's quite a name to live up to. Not too many true Sage's in this world anymore ...
Place looks nice n tidy. Comprehension behind the counter is a bit on the low level though.
A. M.
Perfect location on the south side of the city. Various flaws with our room, which ould easily be fixed, but were overlooked. Fortunately we were 2 people in a 4 person room. I would stay here again without problem.
P. D.
Nice friendly staff, good selection of 2 pools. Has 24 hr room service. Comfy beds and pillows. Coffee machine is a bonus.
C. B.
Although the hotel advertised that they had a pool ... they did not. The pool was located ar a facility 2 doirs up.
May seem trivial but there were no biscuits in the room.
No foxtel
Shower was over the bath which made it difficult to get safely in and out of.
Buffet breakfast was nice and you can have your eggs cooked how you like...if you ask.
A. S.
Nice room. Very clean, pillows sooooo comfy. Water bottled in rooms caused some angst especially if you are unwell. Hope that in future same shall be supplied. Ta.
S. S.
We have just had a great stay at Sage Adelaide over 4 nights, staff very friendly, amazing, great that you can leave your cases there if need be. Would have no hesitation in staying there again when we are over your way.
Do agree with the pillows though in previous reviews, would be nice to have thinner ones as well. Sue & Warwick
T. M.
Stayed two nights at this hotel - lovely clean room with good facilities and its great that it still has free (or near enough) parking even though its in the city centre. We struggled to understand the air conditioner operation but i think thats more our fault than the hotels.
J. J.
Sage hotel is situated in a good location so that most of Adelaide city is accessible. It's more ideal for those looking for a quiet place to stay while visiting or those working on that side of the city. However it is a very clean room with all the amenities provided. Highly recommend as a place to stay when visiting
E. R.
Excellent location, closed to all facilities in the CBD and opposite to parkland running the length of South Terrace. All staff were friendly and very helpful.
S. L.
Attended a community group event there. Presentation was nice and the standard food options were fine, but the vegetarian main option provided was a stack of roast vegetables, and ths vegan dessert was a stack of pieces of fruit. I guess I shouldn't really expect much from a standard restaurant that doesn't claim to provide specifically well for alternate dietary requirements.
P. J.
The Sage hotel was our home in Adelaide for nine days and generally speaking it was a good experience.
The breakfast staff Izabella and Sophia always greeted us with a smile and nothing was too much trouble for them. Good service with a smile is always appreciated.
Other staff members that deserve a special mention are Maddy in the restaurant and Shamala at reception. Both of whom were wonderful ambassadors for the Sage. There were other staff that were also helpful but we didn't get their names.
The Sage has received a 4 star rating elsewhere but we would give it an overall rating of 3 stars. Not all of the staff are as friendly and helpful as those we have mentioned.
There is a great difference between a 5 star hotel and a 4 star hotel and usually it is the small things that set a hotel above others. Unfortunately it was in the small details that the Sage does not excel.
Without going in to details one area that needs improvement was housekeeping and cleaning. Over the nine days that we were there we found the room cleaning and general housekeeping to be quite variable.
While our experience was generally good we will be looking elsewhere for accommodation next time we are in Adelaide.
A. B.
The Grand Chiffley is an older Hotel but has been substantially renovated recently. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the beds are excellent, but the once state of the art Plasma TV's are blurry, low definition ones that you would not put up with at home. The channel selection was odd too, with many free to air channels missing. Probably the HD ones now that I come to think of it.
The only real downside to the rooms are the balconies with heavy, noisy sliding doors that sound like rolling thunder when the rooms above you use them, and the concrete shelters on them double as dove-cotes for Pigeons - these birds cause more noise in the room, and foul the balconies.
Free on-site parking is a plus these days: every other Hotel in town charges $10 or more per night.
The Restaurant is not cheap, but the food is good and the service (from my waitress Hannah anyway) was excellent. The same restaurant prepares the room service food, which is equally good, but strangely the room service menu is far broader than the Restaurant one, and the Chef refuses to serve the 24 hour room service items in the Restaurant. There is a $4.50 service charge to get Room Service, so maybe that is why. Guests must choose between a limited selection served with a smile by Hannah or eating the excellent salt and pepper squid in their room. It is a tough choice, but the culinary results are good for either. I would rate this as a 4 star Hotel, possibly 4.5 in the executive section.
R. O. '.
The worst parking 1disabled . large 4wD.noway. hire there parking out to locals guest charged $5 nite that's if can find A parking spot door dents parking
A. S.
Great simple hotel. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Power points available near the beds - great for charging your phone! Only negative - the weak showers!
K. H.
Nice comfortable rooms, great food impeccable service in the dinning room. Our room had magnificent views for a city location. This place I recommend for a pleasant accommodation experience.
J. P.
Great value accommodation, a quick walk from the heart of the Adelaide CBD. Spacious rooms with all the essentials. Comfortable beds, big showers and great views from higher level balconies. Very helpful and attentive staff. Highly recommend.
R. E.
A very pleasant stay on many occasions. The rooms are lovely to return to after a full day providing a place of comfort and relaxation. Staff are exceptional.
C. M.
It's not a 4 star hotel, more like a 3 star
m. p.
Stayed one night, comfortable room. Staff were very helpful. This is in a good location on the edge of the city precinct close to public transport. The pool was a welcome at on a hot day
O. F.
Location isn't great without a car or to walk to things in the city. Rooms probably due for a make over in my opinion. Curtains have holes in them and let a lot of light in and air con blows straight onto a bed with no chance to divert.
D. Y.
Our double room was ok. Balcony and windows needed a good clean. 1 of the staff on reception in the evening should not be dealing with guests. He was rude and was not interested in helping.
S. C.
It's dated and the aircon makes a massive racket but comfortable and perfect for a transient visit. We've been travelling throughout the wine regions and this is a good spot to relax after the visits. 20min walk into the CBD, staff are friendly and close to the airport (20mins $20 via Uber).
S. j.
Had amazing view on the eastern side of building seeing the parklands and city and mountains. Don't get east if you don't like morning light. Very quiet aircon and excellent facilities and very tidy. We loved the coffee machine in our room!!! Wow. The pool is next door at the chiefly and is fantastic and long. The gym provides a good resistance weight equipment and treadmill but no free weights.
The parklands across the road are great for kids with play equipment. Fasta pasta is on the corner and central markets only 10 minutes walk.
Take tram 500 meters away will take you for free to the city centre or $5 to glenelg beach. Be sure to have coins or your credit/debit card. Plenty parking onsite and next door at $5 per night and all under lights and even saw security guards. We loved our stay and will certainly be back again!
D. J.
A very good small hotel, overlooking the gardens. Most rooms have lovely views over Adelaide.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very good with a range of excellent options and very good staff.
S. M.
4 trips for faulty key card entry. balcony and windows certainly needed cleaning no email confirmation of booking received until I rang and asked again 4 weeks later car park very tight room clean staff and location very good
J. V.
Love the place nice and helpful staff. Close to all shops via tram which is free within the CBD and Gouger St. Thanks. Jack
M. C.
Friendly staff, comfortable room, cheap parking, excellent food belies the initial impression of the restaurant. Overall excellent value for money hotel in great location.
T. S.
For the price it is great value. comfortable clean rooms, good breakfast. Very happy with my stay here
R. R.
Really enjoyed my stay! Affordable price, nice room, friendly and helpful staff
J. F.
Enjoyed our stay.....clean rooms... apart from the sheets on the bed not being tucked in at the bottom.. in the morning the sheets had crept up to my waist... maybe a small thing, but damned annoying... the staff finally got it right after a couple of days
K. D.
Love staying in the executive sweet it has a beautiful view and room 💗 I stay there regularly and it never disappoints 🌃🌆🏙️🌇
E. C.
Clean rooms. Good prices nice staff good food. Plus cheap parking.
E. B.
Thanks Justin you have restored my faith in Sage hotel. Everything I had experienced before has been wiped as you have personally seen that my second visit was beyond my imagination.
Thanks a million Eug 😊
D. S. B.
Great breakfasts. Nice balcony views of the park/ hills. Clean
B. S.
Was okay, dirty room, cracks in tiles, average food, nice location, okay price, very comfortable bed. If you can find it cheap then go for it.
R. M.
Ok hotel. Comfy rooms, okay service. Externally a dated building. Amenities are mediocre. Hotel feels dated. Lack of certain facilities (plates/cutlery are not in the room??).
D. P.
The hotel was good. The service and staff were great. The room price was responsible.
B. W.
I'd go there again. Best place I've stayed in. 1 night with car park and all you can eat breakfast for two. For only $140
A. P.
I have been coming back to the Sage Hotel and its little sister, Country Comfort next door since 2001...and thats not bad....the rooms arent over stated, matter of fact i spoke to one of the room cleaners today and told her that I have seen her here for years, yes & she said its a good place to work. I like familiarity as much as I like good value motel accommodation...thats what the Sage Motel means to me, its like coming back to see an old friend and reasonable walking distance with a huge park across the road which gives an airy country feel to the motel atmosphere....Staff are friendly, smiling and treat your requests well. Love the Sage and will keep coming back from Queensland over and over again......
t.
The first visit was a quiet enjoyable stay. The second wasn't quiet as pleasant as we didn't have wi-fi which is needed to run and coordinate our business. Anyways would stay again if wi-fi is available.
Z. J.
Super comfy beds, good showers and nice little balcony
Great for the price
K.
The reception area was nice, full of good tourist information. Nice location across from Parklands, however, a bit of a walk to City main shopping areas compared with other hotels.
J. C.
The building itself is quite old, we lived in the highest floor of the building, weak water pressure, which double my bath time...
The valet parking is nice. Their staffs are friendly.
B. P.
Very understanding and respectful staff with outstanding service with good quality food and the rooms are amazingly comfortable with awesome views of Adelaide. Will definitely be returning very soon
G. W.
Great service, rooms clean and comfortable. Bed is firm and comfy. Bistro does a great full Continental breakfast.
R. D.
Verry nice and clean and staff were verry helpful and courteous
H. J.
Nice room, ultra comfy bed, great view, reasonably priced
G. C.
Location is a bit off the city centre but you could take a free tram going to the city, just a couple of stops away. Clean rooms and value for money accommodation. Just located in front of a huge park where you could do your morning run.
n. c.
Not bad for price and location
K. J.
Excellent, close to city walks
J. M.
Handy location for our visit. Comfy beds, neat and tidy room. Pleasant walk to tram. Cheerful and convenient.
A. T.
Clean neat and perfect for an overnight stay close to the CBD.
M. G.
Comfortable basic room. No noise and good curtains. Onsite dining is pretty good and some great cafes nearby.
K. D.
Went to a function there. Foyer was well presented. Staff were friendly. Function room was air conditioned and seats were comfortable.
F. S.
Very unpleasant stay. You are a guest of the hotel but you have to pay for parking in the hotel carpark. Room service is very poor, if it exists at all. Very impolite staff. I never stay in Sage Hotels.
R. T.
My favourite hotel in Adelaide
Lovely ladies doing coffee and breky in the morning
H. M.
Staff are helpful and happy, place was cosy and clean. Would suggest buying some milk before you go if you drink a lot of coffee/tea - the pods they give are pathetic
W. K.
Room is clean with a beautiful garden view. Good. But my room' air con got a little bit noise.
R. a.
I have stayed there quite a few times now, Good clean hotel, Great food, friendly staff.
E. W.
Great place to stay. local to everything. Staff were fabulous I'll be going back and have already recommend it to friends

Comfortable spacious room. Great coffee pod maker.
R. C.
Excellent hotel/motel. Clean and tidy rooms and close to everything.
S. E.
Nice hotel in Adelaide city area with easy walk to Glenelg tram and access to the city. Easy parking, friendly and welcoming staff and a nice restaurant for food. Great views of parkland, Adelaide Hills and to Glenelg, depending on which side your room is. Quiet place to relax.
A. F.
Comfortable, friendly staff, value for money, not central but near public transport so easy to get everywhere. Would stay again.
R. H.
The room is awesome. Very clean, well laid out. Helpful staff and very quiet.
A. S.
It's opposite the big park. A good 25 minute walk to Rundle mall. Executive room on level 9 has great a view.
R. W.
Excellent, modern, stylish clean, comfortable, very friendly staff, great value, in the cbd,but on the quiet side of town, adjacent park lands, good car park
L. S.

G. M.
Comfortable and easy. Good location for central Adelaide and transport to the Hills
W. D.
I thought i booked a wrong hotel. This is a lovely hotel. The room was clean and bed is real comfortable. This hotel deserve 5 star
N. W.
Service was great, nice hotel, but the second elevator was broken which meant going up and down took forever. Would stay again still.
J. S.
I can’t complain, but nor can I find anything too nice to say. Comfortable enough, nice views from the balcony, but pretty generic and a bit of a walk to Rundle Street and the river.
M. T.
Always very fair prices. Room service is good. Staff are friendly. I like it. Will go back again.
R. T.
Great sized rooms with good heating. Very clean. No doona covers. Very happy with the quality of rooms.
B. M.
It's a good hotel but we are here because we have a child in a wheelchair with severe disabilities. For Damon's nedds its still not quite right but for being in the city its ok.
J.
Hotel is nice and service good but the room we strayed in was only worthy of 3 stars and the carpark is a joke you will be lucky to get a park and if in a big car /4x4 parking is tight
J. J.
Had a really nice room and a lovely breakfast
S. B.
Best hotel in Adelaide. Cheap price but the rooms are amazing. Great helpful staff with a welcoming hub.
S. W.
Was amazing but the pool was being renevated
M. J.
Great rooms, views and staff. Be advised the "pool" is actually at another hotel two doors down.
D. B.
While in the midst of a bit of renovation, they still welcomed us with a warm smile and sanitizer on arrival 😊
A. N.
Basic but nice
M. G.
Lovely joint. King bed, nice bathroom, couch, the usual fare but also with free coffee pods!
C. K.
Nice inside. Tv doesn't tilt to be seen from the desk. Iron was dirty. Ironing board was dangerous. Sink slow to empty. Otherwise okay.
J. G.
Great place rooms are so clean. House keeping staff are wonderful and accommodate all your needs
Y. L.
Very nice hotel to stay. close to everything
D.
Rooms are nice and staff are friendly. Wifi is unreliable at times.
E.
Love it. Clean rooms, lobby service could do with more staff. Fix that and you get the 6th star
R. P.
I'll just say this, it's the third time staying there in as many months so it can't be half bad.
A. V.
Nice Hotel and nice breakfast in the restaurant. Great Service.
T. W.

J. G.
The rooms are clean and tidy. The people were very friendly and helpful and I will be back again.

G. K.
Perfect location on south terrace away from city traffic but still on a walking distance. Well connected by tram
L. D.
Close to most places in the city yet far enough to avoid the hostel and bustle of city life. The room service is good 😊
L. C.
Very nice service and amenities room was very nice and we'll equipped and the beds were very comfortable
T. V.
American ribs are yummy, but grill octopus is so fishy. Overall it is a good dinner.
T. B.
Nice spa, room was fine and acceptable for how much the room cost. Location is not amazing for the cbd
j. b.
Had a great, stay at the sage staff were friendly. Breakfast was great cooked the poached eggs to perfection
A. H.
There was a really good steal on Groupon Australia, so why not? It was going at AUD50/pax/night (okay, still rather expensive) but the Airbnb owners weren't replying. The room was very spacious, and a good location if you're having business within city area.
However, as a tourist, I would definitely book somewhere in the town of Glenelg if I were to recommend to you or visit Adelaide again. There are not many attractions in the city itself and can easily be done in a full day. Glenelg is also a very beautiful and relaxing beach town and much nearer to the airport too. There is an advantage of staying on the South Terrace is that it rests nicely at the last stop of the free tram zone in Adelaide, but ultimately, Glenelg will be the best choice.
T. O.
Nice clean room, good staff, I had a great view across parklands on south terrace
G. W.
Great location. Friendly, helpful staff. Clean well presented room, disable people friendly
l. l.
