A. S.Definitely the best hostel I've stayed at since I've arrived in Australia. I stayed for 8 months! One of those hostels you just don't wanna leave. The common areas are great for mingling, clean amenities and kind owners who go above and beyond. Met so many genuine kind people there, it really was just a vibe. A crazy 8 months and I'd 10000 star you if I could. Only hostel in Brissy worth going to IMO

J. M.Can’t beat that hostel in any criteria. Price, location, view and vibes. City backpacker has it all.
The hostel has free gated parking in which they try to accommodate everyone. 5 washing machines/dryers and clothing lines. Has a movie room, pool table, ping pong table and a pool!
Lots of outdoor seating to socialize, work or chill in the hammock.
They try to keep groups together and to not overcrowd the room.
I really appreciate to be placed in a dorm with my partner and not having to share it with anyone while paying $190 each for a week.

so helpful and friendly during my entire stay. They made me feel right at home. The room was perfect, nice and clean and very comfortable. The outdoor area is so cool, with hammocks and a pool and it's all very well kept.

Lotsa fun here..I was working for two kiwi's doing landscaping...after work I'd be back here eat quick grab my sk8 and go for a rip, I would end the evening with puffin a dub up on the roof of the hostel..I eventually left and got cheaper accommodation. I would still recommend this joint though.

A. T.This is the best hostel I've stayed so far on the east coast. The dorms are clean. The bathrooms are clean. The kitchen is huge. There are many areas available to sit and socialize, eat, drink, or just chill out on your own. Many hostels say they are cleaned daily, but I've seen for myself that this place really is. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about things to do in the area.
M. B.Everyone was friendly and everyone was foreign. I think that's what makes a hostel a hostel really. I enjoyed the pub which the name of I cannot recall and the outdoor patio for drinking the beers or what have you is wonderful. Turf section and concrete with loads of picnic tables and a swimming pool ( on the smaller side) offer great views of Brisbane (if you like buildings and rivers) the Craic Shack has tasty snacks for a reasonable and not soul crushing price and the drinks are cheap enough too.
Come for the accommodations stay for the... Accommodations.
A. N.Positives - great outdoor area with a pool, great views and lots of places to eat and socialise including a bar and restaurant. Air con in the rooms which was amazing! Beds were comfortable.
Negatives - for claiming it is all cleaned twice daily the kitchen is always filthy and there are no where near enough pans and utensils for everyone. No ladders on the bunk beds is so stupid and makes it extremely difficult to get into bed! Showers and toilets don't look like they are cleaned twice daily either. No lockers in the rooms.
H. S.Stayed in a 6 bed female room for two nights. Overall hostel was great, lots of communal space and cheap food and drink at the bar, $7 at most for a very large pasta dish.
Rooms were good, showers slightly dated and the mattresses could do with replacing but overal a great experience for a two night stop.
Location to bus station is a great plus too
L. R.Our group of 20 went to the bar here at the end of our Pub Crawl. Awesome rooftop city views. Good sitting areas. Hammocks to hangout in. Very cheap drinks. $4-$6 basics. Music was decent.

It's the ideal location in Brisbane with easy walking access to everything the city has to offer. Friendly Faye checked us in at the Reception desk and gave us drink/food tokens for the evening, drew out a route on the map for us to explore Brisbane city by day and night, including free things to do which were extremely helpful! Faye showed us around the hostel, where the communal kitchen is located, the cafe, bar and the rooftop pool! Amazing! And the rooftop deck where everyone is chilling, drinking and eating with a stunning river view of Brisbane's city. Citybackpackers has a great vibe, we only wish we had a few more days to soak up this lively hostel.
We stayed in a private room, which was super spacious, a fridge, chair, TV and wardrobe. The bathroom is separate with toilet, sink and shower with steaming hot water! Everything is super clean with modern amenities.
We'll certainly be back visiting Citybackpackers next time we are in Brisbane! Thanks for having us :)

A. D. (.we were in the cheapest room known as the dungeon (it is a 30 bed dorm) it was great because the people were so nice but it can be very dirty here. facilities are good and internet is not bad if you use it in the middle of the night.

M. F.A good hostel with a good price. The hostel is out of the city, when you walk you need 20minutes to go there.
In the hostel you have a nice pool, a big kitchen with only pans (for dishes you must pay, but you get the money back). You have also unlimited wifi especially in the kitchen, but some of the rooms in the lower floors have wifi aswell. The hostel is generall very clean. The beds are very old and you feal this but when you only want sleep inisde its allright.
Here you can find help to find a job. Most people are long term stayers and you can find easy new friends.
The highlight of the hostel is the roof. You have a great view over the skyline in brisbane.

Das Hostel ist etwa 10 Gehminuten von der Roma Street Busstation und ca 20 Minuten vom Zentrum entfernt. Gegenüber gibt es einen Supermarkt sowie einen Bottleshop. Der Ausblick von der Dachterrasse auf die Stadt ist herrlich! Das Hostel verfügt über eine eigene Bar in der regelmäßig Events stattfinden. Dementsprechend ist kein Alkohol von außerhalb erlaubt. Außerdem gibt es einen Pool sowie eine kleine Aussichtsplattform auf dem Dach. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich! Einzig das es in den Zimmern keine Schließfächer gibt ist etwas blöd. Ansonsten sehr sauber und gepflegt.
