L. G.Incredibly clean and well presented room for the price - plus a comfortable bed too! I’m extremely fussy with hygiene as well so I was pleasantly surprised. I was also impressed with the little homely decor additions to the room, a nice touch. Super friendly staff, the manager (can’t remember his name sorry!) went above and beyond for us to make sure we were comfortable and I observed him very patiently and respectfully training a new staff member who was checking us in. Well done guys, very happy with our stay.
A. S.Me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this resort! Our beds were extremely comfy, the rooms were spotless and the shower was huge! Also, because it was my birthday and I had been travelling all day the owner Paul opened the bar for me and gave me a free bottle of champagne. I have never been treated so well as a guest and will definitely be returning!

S. S.Had an amazing stay at Emus beach resort! Best sleep I’ve had so far up the East Coast as the beds are incredibly comfy! All the other facilities are class too, the bar is great fun and all the staff were so lovely! Always wanted to go to Great Keppel Island so it was perfect to stay at Emus because they brought me to the ferry and picked me up after my day trip! It’s a perfect getaway, 10/10 would recommend!

V.I made a last minute booking through a third party website that didn’t notify the hotel, and when I called ahead a couple HOURS after they had closed, they went out of my way to sort out a room despite having every reason to tell me no. Absolutely amazing customer service from Paul, and the rooms were beautiful and comfortable. Will definitely be coming back again, with a little more warning next time ;)
L. S.I had the most wonderful stay with these guys at Emu Park. Paul and Mandy were super welcoming on arrival and throughout the duration of my stay. The hostel itself is one of the nicest hostel I have stayed at with single beds (no bunk beds) in each room, kept clean and tidy. And and amazing swimming pool area to relax.

M. R.For me it was one of the best hostels in Australia. The whole hostel was very clean you can also find everything what you need in the kitchen. For 7$ you can add every day breakfast or a delicious dinner. And the best thing was the Crew, everyone ist very friendly and helpful, what ever you need.

Was a great alternative to staying in Rockhampton, as it’s a beautiful little beach side town with easy access to Keppel Island.

A. H.The best resort you will find along the East Coast. If Pauli is behind the bar watch out, you'll be staggering to your room. A welcome change to the high pace life of the city. Provide tours to Great Kepple Island as well!
K. B.I spent about a week and a half here and really enjoyed my time. Emu Park is a very small and quiet town but a very pleasant change from many of the bigger cities. They offer day trips to Great Keppel Island (I highly recommend the trip out to Keppel) and a crocodile farm at very reasonable prices. The rooms are all very clean and comfortable. They get a groups of backpackers multiple days a week with the largest group usually arriving Thursday night. Friday nights are BBQ night and well worth hanging out for some drinks and good food at very reasonable prices.
Most backpackers skip this town while doing the east coast but this is a perfect option to break up the trip between Airlie Beach and some of the cities further south.
