A. M.Loved staying here. Geoff was friendly, very helpful and a fantastic host. The staff were so friendly they created a great family atmosphere. We met so many lovely people and heard great stories in our chats with our new-found friends in the kitchen, at the dinner table and around the fire. And then on top of that - Grand Keppel Island is so beautiful and there is so much to see and do.
We would definitely recommend a stay here.
A. O.If you are looking for a quiet place with lots of vegetation and peace, this is the perfect place. With a mix of nature, comfort. Free Snorkeling equipment, a clean and safe place. Without a doubt it is for family with children, couples or friends. We did camping and it was beautiful!

We were met on the beach after dismembarking the boat by Benny, who was such a gem. Friendly, relaxed, informative and clearly loving life.
Highly recommend this stay. The property is well kept and very chilled.

T. P.Loved the communal vibe, friendly and approachable hosts, and environmental measures in place at the village. Our cabin was a decent size and was very comfortable to stay in - especially sharing with three other girls. Close to the main beach, restaurants/pubs, water activities, and the village even has water equipment to hire. The price was also very cheap compared to other accommodation. Very happy with this place and will happily stay here again next time I go to Keppel!
T. M.My partner and I camped 3 nights here and it was just amazing! Wonderful value for money, there was even a tarp set up for us to put our tent under. Amenities clean and nice, staff friendly, and the owner Geoff very hospitable! One of the best camp stays I've ever had. Geoff even took us out snorkelling in his boat early one morning with another couple. The atmosphere is so friendly and warm. We'll definitely be back!
E. ,.I spent 3 nights glamping and I have no complaints! The bed was super comfy, nice big kitchen and lots of fridge and freezer space. The staff were lovely and you're super close to both main beaches and anything else you could need. If you're thinking about going.. DO IT and stay at the holiday village for an incredible visit
J. H.Great communication with the Manager Benny even before arriving. He was super helpful and very friendly. Prompt pick up from the ferry and transported to Village. Clean and well maintained property, our rent was immaculate and very spacious. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Communal kitchen was always clean. Perfect location. Amenities block was always clean and accessible.
We had an amazing 4 night stay and will recommend to all of our family and friends. Can not beat the price and service provided.

C. M.Great location, love the eco friendly/honesty side of the place and the helpful friendly staff. Sadly we had the most disrespectful and noisy group of younger people who kept us up all night and when I approached them at midnight they were extremely rude and carried on with their noise. Because there seems to be no real management of the property no one came to quieten them down or ask them to leave and go elsewhere if they wished to continue talking and laughing until all hours. Sadly it wasn't the peaceful, relaxed experience that we had hoped for.

It’sa it’s a quiet place where people , including ourselves, can relax and really escape the real world , several times I had to ask myself what day it was ? ! The walks around the island were stunning , leeks creek is a paradise of crystalline water , fish and shells , Benny and staff are Uber friendly and are always there to give advice and the place is kept beautifully sunsets over the water are magnificent, free snorkeling gear , fantastic , We will be back for sure !

The place is beautiful, natural but with everything you need.. hot shower, clean toilets, a couple of hammocks, close to the beach, a fully equipped kitchen and lots of good vibes.
Do not hesitate to take the boat and spend a couple of days in this beautiful place!
We payed 50 for a tent site for 2 (which may seem expensive, but don’t forget that it is and island and there are not many accommodation options! So for us it was a reasonable price). You just need to take your tent and food, in the kitchen there is everything you need for cooking and you also have a bbq and drinking water.
Call them to arrange your booking and they will pick u up from the ferry drop off point (which is actually pretty close to the campsite).

we fell in love with the crystalclear water, the beaches which you had almost for yourself! we saw turtles, sharks, rays and soooo many beautiful corals and fish during our snorkeling tours.
Geoff was a great host, he was very friendly and helped us in every situation. Everything is very clean and you feel at home the moment you step into the village.

N. H.If you want a totaly relaxing wind down break, Keppel Island Holiday Village is perfect. Any of the the acccomodation you choose is fantastic, as there a few options. Beautiful setting, friendly service, every time we stay with Geoff and his lovely team, we never want to leave.
S. H.Geoff and the team are the number one option for a fantastic Great Keppel Island experience. They really love what they do, providing an enjoyable experience for all of those staying there. The camp kitchen facilities are great, and there is fresh water available too! The Tent's and Cabins are cosy and you can get a good night's sleep in. And if you're after some insights on what to do on the Island, ask any of the friendly staff and they will share their Island experience with you.
P. O. W. T. &. S.Great place! Will definitely be back. Came with the family only stayed for 2 nights and did a few of the walks need to stay at least a week to see everything. Make sure you bring food as there is no supermarket/shop. Tropical vibes had the best burgers massive! They are open 9-4 and the pizza place only Saturday nights. Live music and bbq at the hideaway restaurant on a Friday, everyone that works on the island is so friendly

Very friendly and helpful staff and the glamping tents are comfortable and spacious. All required facilities for a great vacation. Go before this island gets developed a lot more.
D. H.Perfect spot to relax! The rooms/tents are basic (there are cabins or a luxury house also available), and relatively cheap. The kitchen is well set up and the staff are friendly and helpful. A short walk to Shelving Beach (best an hour before low tide) gives you a chance to use the freely provided snorkeling gear. Another short walk goes to the rocks at Leeke's Beach where there is a great fishing spot. The stars are very bright at night and whales/dolphins are often spotted in the bay. There are good day walks to the other side of the island or to Clam Bay to watch the Reef Sharks feeding. Bird lovers will note the Curlews hanging around the camp and also there are naughty Brush Tailed Possums...
s. d.GKI is a gem of an island on the Capricorn Coast! The accommodation is budget boutique, kitchen facilities are spotless and the foreign helpers interesting to chat to. Geoff Mercer the owner is super friendly and keen to help visitors get the most out of their stay, including taking you out in the tinny for some snorkelling. The beaches are amazing and there are lots of walks to keep you fit if that’s what you want to do.
m. b.A group of seven of us paddled over to the island and were so happy to be met on the beach with a vehicle to transport our luggage back to Holiday Village. The staff were most friendly and helpful in all aspects and organised extra food from the mainland for us - they also had basic food available for sale. We were very pleased with the tent accommodation , offering us a feeling of outdoors with comfort. We enjoyed meeting other travelers and sharing tales while cooking up meals in the communal kitchen or lounging around.
The island is a great place to visit , with lots of nice walks and paddles. There is a pub with food open every day and a Pizza restaurant open on weekends - both proved popular with us.

g. p.I stayed 2 nights here in a decked tent. It was a pleasant stay. It's a laid back relaxing getaway, the reception is not always manned but the staff are very helpful, free snorkeling gear to use. I would definitely come back but I would choose a decked tent with double bed or cabin next time. The decked tent with the twin beds is not as well shaded and the inside of the tent got hot in the middle of the day.

S. R.Fellow backpacking couple along with my partner and I made our way to Great Keppel Island with little to no expectations beyond a beach and a brief escape from our current carnie lives. The ferry docks right onto a beautiful sandy beach (ie, no marina or anything, just right onto the sand. Geoff was there to get our luggage and us in his mini truck. The four of us jumped onto the back of the truck and were in love with the island already.
All of us had our first time stand-up paddle-boarding thanks to the boards Geoff had available for free for guests, followed by first-time snorkeling which was also thanks to the equipment available for guests to rent. Snorkeling at Great Keppel was hands down the most amazing experience of my life thus far. My partner and i swam with a turtle!!
They also have a BBQ available for use as well as a fully functional kitchen. Rooms were clean, spacious, and comfy. Loved everything about the visit and would love to go back again. Highly recommended by all four of us that went!

G. A.I must say if there used a magical place where you feel relaxed, this is it! Geoff Mercer and His team (Marg, Theo, Goodo) were very helpful, informative, relaxed, offered help all the time! They picked our luggage from the barge and took them back then we had to depart. Their shop offers hire snorkel gear for everyone! The kitchen is huge, with everything you need!
We particularly stayed at the Dolphin
Cottage and loved it. Perfect size with own bathroom for a family up to five people! Two decks and very relaxing... first time in a long time I managed to sleep over 10h!
I also peaked in the glamping tents and would be tempted to stay in then also! I took many photos! I would consider Geoff Mercer’s Great Keppel Island Holiday Village our home away from home in the Island! We are planning our return soon!!!

Alles was man braucht für einen guten Preis, der Leiter ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man wird von der Fähre am Strand mit dem Auto abgeholt und zurückgebracht. Meine Freundin und ich hatten das Zelt mit Doppelbett, was komfortabler war als man von einem Zelt erwartet. Strom und ventilstor inbegriffen. Voll ausgestatte Küche und Gefriertruhen. Der Leiter bietet auch Arbeit für Unterkunft an.

The holiday village is great! The manager, of absolute kindness, comes to welcome us on the beach and takes our luggage. We had the opportunity to stay in our accommodation and use the shower until our return by boat at 16h. The covered tent is great for sleeping! The premises are very clean and well equipped (large kitchen, barbecue and outdoor tables, games, free snorkel equipment, etc.). Possibility to rent paddles at half price ($ 12.5 per hour).

Magnifique séjour sur l'ile où nous avons eu l'opportunité de voir des tortues, raies mantas, requins de récifs et échidnés !
Le village vacances est super ! Le gérant, d'une gentillesse absolue, vient nous accueillir sur la plage et prend nos bagages. Nous avons eu la possibilité de rester dans notre logement et d'utiliser la douche jusqu'à notre retour en bateau à 16h. La tente couverte est super pour dormir ! Les lieux sont très propres et super bien équipés (grande cuisine, barbecue et tables extérieurs, jeux, équipements de snorkel gratuits, etc.). Possibilité de louer des paddles à moitié prix (12.5$ de l'heure).
