r. b.Nice environment. I stayed about 2 weeks because of mandatory quarantine. Mostly providing Australian foods. If you are Asian and looking for spicy foods, check with them in advance.

They have a nifty app to order any additional items, room service, laundry etc- service was exceptional, friendly and prompt. The food was also pretty good - it's a set menu so at least you know what to expect. No complaints at all, thank you.

B. R.Staff are excellent. Food is of a high standard and prices aren't terrible. Rooms are on the small side and power points are not plentiful. Shower is not warm, this is where they've lost 2 whole stars. The bathroom is really too small and the toilet is very poorly placed. The balcony is tiny and has no furniture, however the views of Roma St Parkland and Mt Coot-tha are superb. There isn't much in the room, a double bed, a small sofa and a small desk. The TV is missing half the free to air channels and none of the cable channels work. There's tea and coffee, that's it for in room food. The parking is spacious, secure and plentiful. The restaurant offers good views of the city. There's an outdoor cafe area that would be nice in the warmer months. The rooftop pool looks good, though there's only really space for about 15 people at a time. The accommodation is fine for a single night, though don't expect a hot shower. They do excellent coffee.
J. K.I’m currently in quarantine, this is my fourth in Brisbane, and by far the best. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is outstanding quality, interesting, and really tasty. I’m very impressed, and if you are lucky enough to quarantine in this hotel, you have hit the jackpot!

S. W.Here in quarantine . Food was good but cold. No access to any other facilities due to covid 19 so no complaints. Water is limited asked for more bottles was told that tap water is drinkable so can use that. TV in the room had limited channels. The room was excellent. To be precise clean and neat.

Had enough of Youtube and netflix through wifi on my ipad and cp already which due to small screens strains my eyes. Tv would be nice with their big screens. Good thing my room and balcony gets a lot of sunshine esp at afternoons, it helps me sweat more during my brief physical exercises!

T. A.Absolutely 5star from the minute we walked in the door. Had a wonderful night in the grand ballroom with staff that could not be faulted (except maybe language barrier with some of the wait staff). Special mention to Ben on the video/tech board for all his help and sharing if his knowledge. The room was outstanding with quality bedding, cleanliness and a great selection of complimentary items. Cannot recommend this place highly enough as a hotel and function facility.
D.What a deal! My partner and I purchased one of the special deals with a nights accommodation, parking, full buffet breakfast and a $25 beverage voucher for $135. Night started out with a few drinks late Friday afternoon listening to some live music in their bar using the beverage voucher for a few free beers. Happy Hour also included $6 spirits and wine. The room had a good view of the city and great aircon. We then went out into town for dinner with friends and returned later and took advantage of the rooftop pool area to relax and take a look at the city lights. The buffet breakfast in the morning had all the basics you would expect and the food was great. The staff were awesome, from checking in, buying a drink, having breakfast and checking out. Awesome experience and will be coming back. Thanks guys.

J. B.Nothing is a problem; so helpful, friendly and great facilities. A group of friends stayed the night, met for a good chat, adjourned for drinks and dinner. Everything was great; drinks service was prompt and professional (loved the 2 for 1 voucher we found in our rooms, thank you!), dinner was amazing, breakfast was great with a really good range of choices, and staff were wonderfully helpful. We all slept well and headed off refreshed after an excellent breakfast and good coffee. The free City Link bus stop is just around the corner and the car park located underneath make access easy. We plan to return!
O.We arrived at 2am after a 7hr drive and the dude at the counter was incredibly friendly considering how late it was! He offered us a late check out free of charge since we got in late and knew a lot about the hotel.
Room is great, modern but not over-done. Love the modern bathroom (with an exhaust fan!). Bed way more comfy than I expected.
N. R.This is an absolutely amazing hotel that has views of another amazing hotel, the Summit Apartments, which is across the road. The hotel owners are friends, and when one of their swimming pools is broken, they gladly welcome guests from the other hotel. That is very nice of them, don't you think?

J. F.Enjoyed my week long stay here. Nice rooftop swimming pool. Small but useable fitness gym room. Some 2 for 1 buffet breakfast vouchers were tempting and provided us a good start to the day. A little bit of a walk to the mall in central downtown. Bar area was relaxing and fun. Happy to stay there again. Room was satisfactory. I did choose a cheaper option room for this stay. Very clean. Elevator's struggled due to the full hotel. So sometimes a reasonable wait.
j. h. (.The weather improved, it stopped raining and was lovely and sunny. We did not eat in the restaurant as with the heavy air con, we found it too cold. The bar area was fine. I have ranked the pool low only because there were no parasols or any means of shade and that is essential. I did raise it with the management and I hope that will be addressed. On the exposed rooftop was lovely but the option of some means of shade is necessary especially in a country that warns of the risks of too much sun exposure.
F. H.I attended Hotel Grand Chancellor for a one-day conference event. The venue is spacious, well-appointed, & very suitable for conferences, & we were looked after very well by staff throughout the day. The facilities are modern & clean, food & refreshments were well-prepared & tasty, & the layout was spacious & well thought out for conference purposes. Parking on-site was handy, & the discount received as a conference attendee was welcomed as it made it more affordable than other options in the area. Staff were courteous & helpful, & made finding the right rooms & facilities easy upon arriving at the venue. I look forward to the possibility of attending more conferences there in the future.

B. D.My Mother had an operation booked at St. Andrew's Memorial Hospital which is across the road from The Grand Chancellor. We checked in whilst in the middle of covid 19 and the staff could not have done enough for our stay. We're not demanding people but they went above and beyond any expectations. If you're after an establishment that actually cares for it's guests and staff - this is it. The rooms are not the fanciest or the largest but it's very clean, welcoming and has a very pleasant view of the Roma Street Parkland, which I might add is a truly beautiful walk.

T. O.We have been staying at the Grand Chancellor Brisbane for three days a week around 6 months now. We only do this because it is the best hotel we have stayed in the area and we tried quite a few. Actually it is better than many of the hotels in which we have stayed around the world. You can have tons of marble in the foyer and shine everywhere but that can come with disconnected staff, the plastic smile and lets get this done as soon as possible. Not here at the Grand Hotel in Brisbane although its very well appointed and the staff are efficient, friendly and know their job. You quickly get to know them by name and without exception they always go the extra mile to make sure you have a pleasant stay. They go far beyond the norm to make sure the place is spotless so if you are in Brisbane and want to support a good hotel with motivated staff there are no further questions.
A few minutes walk away is an outstanding botanical gardens ideal for a pleasant walk after a meal. The city is around 10 minutes walk.
I have gone to the trouble of writing all this because I am so sad that we will not be able to visit for a while as we now have to work from home on-line, I had to tell someone, we will be back.

Non meat breakfast was pretty good lots of fruit and healthy options, but the meaty parts were pretty poor.
Its not too far way from the city center, I would say about a 20 minute walk.

Beds were a bit soft for my liking. Motel is central to everywhere and a short walk to St Andrews and other hospitals. Chose a easterly facing room to avoid noise from traffic when balcony door is open.
A.Good location, great rooftop pool and lounge area. Gym was small but everything you need. Room was comfortable and clean. Really great price too.

S.this was a really impressive hotel. the main requirements of any great hotel room were more than met with the large modern clean dark cold & quiet room i had. the thick curtains blocked out all day light & the aircon could be set to icy cold, cumfy king size bed & super clean modern room made for really good sleeps anytime of day. bathroom was also super clean & the shower was 1 of the best ever, high pressure & ceiling mount massive shower head. staff were super helpful & my parking was all access 24 hour, & meant it was about 25 steps from my door to my car. have to go back again to try the food coz we slept so well we missed breakfast. this hotel must be very close to calling itself 5 star

First time staying here and we had booked a King Room, and for the price we paid I was left extremely satisfied.
Reception staff were extremely friendly, and upon entry every time we were greeted with the atmost respect.
The room itself is of a very modern design, with loads of space.
The bed was extremely comfortable, and very supportive.
Among the amenities, I was pleasently suprised to find that they supply toothbrushes and toothpaste!
This was very much a good suprise as I tend to forget my toothbrush when I travel, which in this case I did!
The only flaw in the room was on the TV there was no Disney or Nickolodian channels! Just because we're adults doesn't mean we don't want to watch Spongebob before bed!
You do pay for parking, but on weekends it's complimentary.
It is self park, but I do believe they offer a valet service for a small fee.
The location of the Hotel is fairly good, It's not centre of the city but it's a good quiet location.
The rooftop pool makes for some amazing views.
Overall, I do highly recommend Hotel Grand Chancellor Brisbane! It's a very modern, clean, friendly, classy and yet affordable hotel. I'll most likely stay here again in the coming months!

V. B.This hotel is quite conveniently positioned just on the edge of the CBD making it close enough to walk to, but still not too busy. The rooms have be recently renovated with modern clean bathrooms that are well designed. The food and room service is delicious offering a wide range at a reasonable price (for room service). The staff are friendly and attentive making checking in and out a breeze. With on sight parking a pool and gym, it is a great place to stay. The only down side is the TV service is a little on the sub par side.

R.The hotel is good value for the money but that does mean that the rooms are a bit plain - it is very clean though. Our room had a very noisy bathroom fan but otherwise it was in good condition.
Checkin was fast and efficient, I didn’t test the food as we ate at a close by Iranian restaurant that was reviewed well. It looks like the hotel is a popular conference venue.
After travelling for a while I cannot even say that the wifi speed is ‘third world’ - it is many times worse! The free wifi is shamefully slow at .35Mbps at 8:05am.
T. M.Room was clean and styled nicely. The condition of the matress in my room was unacceptable, it collapsed and showing its age. Good ten to 15 minute walk to CBD via Roma St Parklands. The staff at the bar were very friendly. Free after 5pm but need to pay from 7am onwards.

G.really friendly and helpful staff. we stayed on level 2 which was a larger room and it was very nice and spacious. the bed and bedding were so soft and comfortable i wanted to know what kind of bed it was :-) the shower was nice too. and it was conveniently located opposite st andrews hospital. it made the trip to the doctor so easy. also, it's opposite an absolutely beautiful park which we walked through. the gardens and water features in the park were delightful.

The room was wonderfully spacious and well laid out. The second sitting area with a second TV was a great feature you don't normally get (although others in my party said they didn't get the 2nd TV). The walk-in shower was massive. I like the breakfast service that gave me a coffee straight away in stead of having to hunt it down.

I don't know why hotel pillows are always so fat. No one likes fat pillows that jar your neck and deprive you of sleep. Two harsh overhead down lights are lousy for applying make-up. Pool towels should be available at the pool - not 11 floors down at reception. The bar area is too small and noisy if there's more than a dozen people. Breakfast didn't blow me away but perfectly acceptable.

Room is clean , staff is polite and friendly. Breakfast is delicious and fresh. I had a drink and something to eat a few times at the bar and they have the best latte in town. I stayed for 4 nights and I enjoyed it very much.

R. D.I've started a couple of times since the refurbishment - they've done a nice job. The rooms on the western side have a lovely view all the way to the mountains. The rooms I've stayed in have been very comfortable - King sized bed, two seater couch, and a small desk. TV has a few channels - free to air and three Foxtel. You can buy movies for $16. Bathrooms have been small but absolute fine - large shower. Coffee machine in the room as well with a few free pods. Nice touch.

M. J.The service here seems very good. The staff seem accustomed to hosting international guests. They are friendly and polite. I had a look at some rooms on behalf of some friends that might visit and thought it to be quite good for a family. There isn't 24 hour security staff though. Not sure what extent this is. I have had coffee here and met some interesting friendly lady travellers on one occasion in the cafe. It is better to have friendly polite staff than a higher category of hotel where the staff are complacent.
I have stayed in five star hotels and you can't buy good manners.
Perhaps the hotels in Spring Hill, Brisbane's city fringe suburb are lower in cost than in the city. But it's not that far away. A ten to fifteen minute walk. This hotel may not be as fancy in appearance, but it has a swimming pool and all the ammenties you would expect from a four star property. I often see Chinese and Japanese tourists leaving early in the morning, which is a good sign, they are probably nice to other nationalities as well.
T. M.Staff were exceptional. Room extremely small with only double bed despite being booked for a queen. Room number was 319 and the room felt depressing and in a desperate need of a makeover. The breakfast was well stocked with nice hot and cold options. Transfer transport was clean and timely and safe.

R. A.We paid $130 for one nights accommodation and were shocked to see $20 per night parking. This adding nearly 15% of the total cost was a surprise, seeing as all other hotels I've stayed at in Brisbane have been free parking for guests. However after making a complaint this fee was waived. Customers should be made aware of exuberant parking fees upon booking. The room and bathroom was nice and clean, the pool and gym had a good view on the roof. The breakfast buffet was good as breakfast buffets go. We didn't try the restaurant or room service as they were too expensive. R. L.A great hotel nice view over the Parklands and I had to attend a seminar here and there is many seminars on at the same time as there is many rooms for seminars. We decided to stay at the hotel to save on time as we had traveled from the Gold Coast and we were very happy we did as there was live entertainment on from 5-7pm and nice little bar and a great restaurant to dine at as well that food was beautiful and the cost was very reasonable.
The room was very modern and nice an d clean a great stay but the gym upstairs I would only give one star as all the machines are not working well and need servicing very clunky and the sun shines straight on you as there is no blinds to block out the hot sun.
The pool was nice and a great place to cool off.
Staff were very helpful and the best part was there was no parking fee for the Friday and Saturday night now that is a first for Brisbane.
I will definitely be back to stay as it is not to far to walk if you are travelling to Brisbane for a game at Suncorp Stadium (Lang Park), a quick walk up the hill and down Caxton Street to the stadium.

E. B.My family and I have stayed at the grand chancellor a couple of times now and alway had a wonderful stay. Staff are very friendly eager to help out. Buffet breakfast is beautiful and first time we had dinner tonight which was beautiful. I had the buttermilk chicken for entree which the chicken was so soft and just melted in my mouth however it was abit too spicy for my liking but still a good entree.
For main I had fish of the day grilled barramundi so soft and tender. Beautiful. How waiter jina was so helpful and eager to serve us and very friendly. Definitely be back!

Unfortunately, the rooms above us, were quite loud, and it felt like elephants were having a party (not the hotels fault), but just keep in mind, its easy to be very loud in this hotel. Close to the city, and a terrific mini bar with all the favs! Overall, I'd stay here again!

M.Our recent stay at Grand Chancellor was very nice but found the room we had booked which was a $15 a night upgrade on our original booking left us wondering what we would have been allocated had up not upgraded. The room was extremely small although the bed was king size nothing else was. There was only one chair available in the room if we were using room service. There was no chairs on the patio which we could utilize. The shower recess was so small one could hardly turn in it. The towels were large and luxurious unfortunately couldnt get enough room to dry oneself in the bathroom. A bar fridge was available unfortunately no provision for ice considered to be essential in our queensland climate. We visited the restaurant the food was very nice unfortunately 45 mins to get sweets for the family, 2 young young children , was a spoiler. Having requested the sweets be brought to our room when finally available would incur a five dollar charge.
The whole experience was disappointing. Reservation was in my daughters name Sandra Jarvis.

S. G.Very friendly staff. The room was very nice and we were given an up grade as we are on honeymoon, a great gesture. Breakfast had plenty of options and staff helped if any tweaks were needed for example, a bespoked omelette. My only note would be for anybody struggling to walk. There are very few restaurants around the hotel, but the hotel does have an excellent in house restaurant. Although the Grand would be considered a central Brisbane hotel it is right at the top of Springhill. By foot the CBD is reached in about 15 min downhill walk. The walk back could be a challenge for less active guests meaning a taxi would be the best option.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 night stay but we like to walk and walked to Petre Terrace and the Valley to eat.

I arrived back at the hotel about 11pm the 4 nights I stayed. The reception staff were courteous, efficient and were able to give me directions to enable me to explore Brisbane after checking in. This stay was my first in Brisbane, and if I return I would not hesitate staying here again.
