Haven't stayed here yet but the rooftop bar is a place we frequent. It's gorgeous! With the most amazing view of Brisbane city.going here on a Sunday afternoon and watching the sun set has become a favourite. Also the band that plays here is so good, which was the main reason we started coming here; the "vibe creators" are amazing.

If you are looking for a bar with a great vibe and amazing rooftop view over the city then Iris at the top of Hotel X is certainly the spot to be. Easy to get to, amazing service from the friendly staff and great tunes all night long. Suited for a big night out or an intimate date over chilling with friends for a chat. A french industrial themed space perfectly matches the vibe and a perfect place to watch the sunset whilst enjoying a few champagnes!

Love the hotel! Staff are professional and friendly at every encounter. The rooms are lovely. Great design. The food is great and efficient. Rooftop is lovely. Only reason I gave four stars is because they are members of IHG rewards but they are not honouring any promotions that I signed up for. BUT still a great hotel!

Had a pleasant stay at Hotel X. The rooftop bar and pool were amazing, restaurant had some interesting flavours. Staff were friendly. Rooms clean and aesthetic. Quiet rooms. Street was a bit scary to walk on at night

It's an adequate three point five star hotel. Rooms are small but well enough presented. Did not like the bathroom separated by glass doors and screen. Absolutely no sound proofing.

Really enjoyed the accomodation. Great pools and beautiful rooftop restaurant and very affordable. Had one issue with our room, the tv wouldn’t work on the second night. Told reception and they immediately came and checked on the problem. Couldn’t fix it right away so lady at reception organised a new room for us. Would definitely stay there again and recommend.

Have been staying at this hotel since the opening and never disappointed. Great facilities, top location and the restaurants/bars are amazing. The management team have created a culture of excellent service and this is a reflection of all the staff in the different departments. Room was nice enough, clean and well furnished / decorated. Stayed in a suite and to be honest, in my opinion, it was over priced for what it is. Parking was also very expensive. The curtains in the room were broken (they couldn't be closed), so in the morning the sun was way too bright and it was hard to sleep in. Overall, it was comfortable enough and in a good location however I probably wouldn't stay there again.

Funky, modern hotel in a great Valley location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Absolutely loved the rooftop pool, fantastic views and order a drink via the QR code at your pool table and have it brought to you - service! Highly recommend the Any Excuse package - parking, breakfast and late check out all included.

The missus and I had a lovely one-night staycation in a Deluxe King Room at Hotel X. We were greeted, in our car, by very friendly & accommodating valet staff, and again by very friendly reception staff when we walked in. The room was immaculately clean, and the modern hotel design elements were very pleasing to the eye. We ended up going to Gemelli Italian for dinner down on James St, which is walking distance from Hotel X. The only issue we had was with the parking situation; however, Scott Dalrymple from Hotel X management ended up contacting me and apologising for the parking situation. I hope it gets sorted out soon, as it was a rather big annoyance for the carpark to be CONSTANTLY full.

Good location and nice,spacious room. Staff was very indifferent and hardly greeted us unless stuck in a lift. The service from the breakfast crew was the worse. Order was late and no apology even after reminding them that our food hadn’t arrived after more than 20 mins.

We had a great weekend stay at Hotel X! Staff were wonderful, polite and welcoming. Unfortunately there was no parking spots left when we arrived, but the staff organised another option for us which worked well. Breakfast downstairs at Bisou Bisou was good, and the pool area upstairs was lovely and had an amazing view. I would say that the room/bathroom did feel quite small, but it was still comfortable and the style of the room was great. We paid extra for a room with a ‘view’, I was expecting something a little better but all we could see was the pub down below. I saw photos on the website which indicated a better view. Maybe next time! We will likely stay again 😊

Fantastic new hotel. Rooftop pool and bar are awesome, poolside service. Smart rooms with motorised curtains, lighting scenes with feature and bias lighting, Chromecast TV. Very stylish and very comfortable. I had some trouble with the room temperature, seems to be based on the hotel temperature so in summer there is no heating. A bit unpleasant for “exotherms” like myself but turning the AC off completely and tucking under the covers was fine. Poolside service had some snags with the numbering system and orders seemed to get lost, and we asked for napkins several times and each time they forgot and never came. Overall it’s one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for anyone staying in the valley area.

Amazing location and modern rooms, inviting a luxurious and welcoming feel. Breakfast is incredible and is recommended. Personally, we were greeted and helped many times by front desk staff member "Lucy". She perfectly carried the hotels professional and inviting feels and made us feel so welcomed and special with her knowledge and her genuine personality. Some of the best service I've received from hotel staff from herself. Will be returning due to the rooms, the food and Lucy!

From Antonia in Reservations ( who's help with our Covoid affected booking ) to the friendly staff ar Reception our stay has been excellent. Our room was clean and airy and the Hotel is vibrant and funky. The rooftop bar offers a great night time view of Brisbane. Centrally situated in Fortitude Valley, the Hotel affords easy access to New Farm and the City. Highly Recommended.

Difficult driveway off the street, car parking expensive and difficult in basement. Rooftop bar and restaurant excellent. Rooms not that big and doors to bathroom open into the room and are tough to open.

Had an amazing stay. finally, a Hotel that has it all beautiful rooms and amenities, awesome service, the restaurant was amazing for both after-dinner drinks and breakfast. Wish we had more time as the rooftop pool is spot on and will be even better when the rooftop bar opens. The lobby had a vibe that you only get in overseas hotels which have been lacking in Australia. Can't wait to stay again. We actually put some clients up to stay the night with us and they were raving about it too and said they would be back for sure. Well done guys.

Just stayed here for the first time. Brand new hotel and was excited to experience what they had to offer. I've never been treated so well. My husband and I actually felt like we were some kind of VIP's! The downstairs restaurant had really really really good food! Breakfast was also just as good. Rooms are trendy and stylish. The hotel staff should absolutely be commended on their service. The rooftop bar and pool is simply amazing. You have to see it!!! The location is great. My husband and I had a great time causally walking the surrounding streets to enjoy the shopping, cafes and nightlife. Our weekend away was truly amazing and exactly what we needed after being grounded by COVID travel restrictions. My new preferred hotel for my Brisbane visits! Looking forward to going back in a few months time. Seriously would love to live in one of the apartments on the upper floors of the Hotel.

Love, love, loved this hotel. The rooms are really funky and the suites are gorgeous, but the best thing of all is the staff. They are so friendly, yet still super professional. They certainly went above and beyond during my stays.

I’ll start with the staff, great and very approachable about anything couldn’t get any better. However on entering the room I was first a little thrown. When you open a door to a 5 star room you want to be hit with cool air and feel fresh as you walk in however our air conditioner was still set to staff mode which made it feel stagnant and not welcoming. The staff did rectify it when called but I was a little disappointed to be honest.

What a lovely hotel. The newly opened hotel x is situated in the Fortitude Valley, conveniently located next to the CBD. New funky style hotel design makes the hotel look nice and modern. Checkin process was easy by friendly staff. Comfortable guest room, with modern control panel for the lighting and curtain. As you open the door and walk in, the curtain automatically opens, this is a nice touch to the guest room. Comfortably bed and quiet room, mini bar with lots of selection of beverage and you can make you own cocktail using their cocktail shaker. Nice shower room with good water pressure. The entire room makes you feel very comfortable. The guess service and room service are excellent too. Just a touch of the in room table, whether it’s in room dining, or amenities requests, and they will get on to it right away. The hotel has in house swimming pool and gym. The breakfast package included in the hotel room was fantastic. In fact was better than my expectation. The breakfast comes with a selection of a drink (barista made coffee) , and a gourmet dish. Nicely presented and tasty. Great customer service. Overall, I am very pleased with my stay and I think their guest service at the front desk and the breakfast are above and beyond. I would certainly stay here again and invite you to stay here too.

Firstly, would I stay at this property again and the answer is a firm no. The "king" rooms are 28m², too small for my liking. This is Brisbane, not Hong Kong, space is not at a premium here, so don't skimp on your room size. The room has a small but functional shower room (amenities are branded Karl Lagerfeld, however APPELLES is a far superior amenities product & Australian owned) , but I can't help but feel that everything is crammed into the space. If you are travelling with a partner or friend, you would feel especially crammed in with no space for luggage (I only travelled with a tote bag, so this could fit on the small table). Secondly, design over function, when it should really be function first. Simple things, like light switches, or kettles that you can easily be filled in the sink aren't here. If I want to just have a reading light on, give me a switch I can easily flick to on, I'm not a fan of grappling around in the dark for an iPad that I've got to turn on to turn on my bedside light. Too much. Lastly, the stars are only for your team of dedicated hospitality professionals. They are well trained and articulate, but that is something I would expect from an IHG hotel. The food and beverage offerings at the hotel are great. I will be returning as a customer to the restaurant but not as a guest of the hotel.

We stayed here for a long weekend in Brissy and enjoyed the hotel / location. PROS: - cool modern design and nice technology to control the room lights / curtains / etc. - SUPER COMFY bed - spacious shower with dual heads (normal and a rain shower) - generous soap / shampoo provided plus other toiletries / amenities like shaving and dental kits - 2 free drink coupons provided at check-in since I'm a Spire Elite currently - nice location; 1-2 blocks from Fortitude Valley shops and food/drink venues, 1-2 blocks from the bridge and elevators down to the riverfront - 24/7 gym access with clean, new equipment including a legit bench & power rack, full dumbells, and cardio stuff - extremely friendly and helpful staff - you can tell they're very focused on taking care of their customers CONS: - standard room on the 4th floor; this was the weakest of all the IHG hotels I've stayed at in terms of status recognition / upgrades for room type - the rooftop pool has incredible views, but since it's on the south side of the building it's mostly in the shade throughout the day - sorta defeats the purpose - the glass doors to the bathroom are a little weird for when you're pooping and your partner / friends are a meter away - my partner liked the artwork but I thought it was ridiculous - giant (like full height) prints of glam / dragshow people covered in bright glitter. I guess they're going for quirky but I thought it was a little garish. To be fair, my partner thought they were awesome

My wife had booked it to celebrate my 50th birthday,we arrived at hotel, very easy check-in,I had been upgraded to a deluxe room,we booked it through booking.com,we arrived to our room and there was a message with balloons wishing me a happy birthday,even in the bathroom it was on the mirror,there was a knock at door they had given me a bottle of champagne which I was very thoughtful,the.room was very beautiful with lovely paintings on the walls,the bathroom was very nice as well,the breakfast was very nice indeed during covid times,it was good price for $238 for two of us,I would definitely stay there again.

The good, is that it is clean, new ammenities, easy access to Brisbane . Lots of lovely touches if they remember to give them to you . We had no mini bar or snacks, in-fact the mini bar was locked . They did come and put a few thing in when asked . No free parking, $40a night . In room service was a total of three mains and some ice-cream . I booked as my son was having a operation and couldn’t go out to eat and was looking forward to having a meal in . Sadly not to be . Reception staff need a few more lesson if you wish to call it a five star hotel . Very disappointed and will not be back .
