Was disappointing as I booked this apartment for the river view of Storey Bridge, which is still online as the view. Paid extra for the high floor and river view. There is a new apartment building right in the middle of the view, so don’t book this hotel expecting those photos. Also the doors are still old style key locks and a key tag that lists the hotel and room number. As a traveller I don’t like this - if you drop your key anywhere someone could help themself go your room.

l. d.I just love this hotel. It's close to everything, beds are comfortable and the hotel staff are great. The reservations call centre need to lift their game, very confusing and not helpful at all.
T. F.Can't fault the staff or the rooms. Had a high exec room with large balcony and it was great. The kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and lounge were lovely, modern and comfortable. Only problem was with arrival. Please consider updating your luggage trolleys as they're difficult to use and there's only one available. I'd also suggest making one of the lifts available as a service lift so people with large amounts of luggage can go from the ground to their floor without having to stop when the lift is full.
M. W.Booked an executive apartment. Wasn't exactly what I'd expected for the price. Some walls had flakey paint, there was an error with the bedding upon check in and the room had nothing appealing about it regarding decor. Also the beds were very uncomfortable. The view was nice, But that's about it. All up, it was an average experience.

A. F.Stayed in a river view room. Room was clean and spacious. Even it had a bathtub! Enjoyed the view both at night and in the early morning. I tried spa there. First time for the outside spa and that was relaxing. Good tempareture. I enjoyed the bell coming somewhere nearby while in the spa. Close to the river and easy to walk around in the city.
Some downsides were:it was super busy at the reception and lifts didn't come for ages, probably because it was 2pm(check in just started) on Saturday. If you can get earlier check-in option, I would recommend it. Also, in the swimming pool, there were some cigarette butts, even in the actual water.

From mesmerizing views of the river to all the amenities inside the suite ensure you have the best stay ever. The place is just a walk away from Queen Street Mall and major corporate offices. The staff is very polite and the range of eating joints you get outside is overwhelming.
Too good a place to stay at when in Brisbane.
J. T.Definitely a great place to stay whether by yourself or with friends. When I booked the place we had a Riverview apartment on the 55th floor and the view was stunning, both at night with the city lights and the great colours of the bridges and in the morning with the gorgeous sunrise. It can be expensive but the place you get is definitely worth the money. The service is great as well with the reception always willing to help, even when we had to ask where the broom was at 12 am. I definitely would stay here again if I could.
N. W.Very hospitable reception staff (manned 24 hrs). Perfect for our late checkin. Rooms were perfect for our short stay but would also have been great if we'd stayed longer. Clean, modern and so close to the local ferry services.

There is a 7/11 and BWS downstairs along with a great little coffee shop. The staff were very helpful and Quick to offer assistance.

I used the air conditioner overnight and there was water pouring down from the ceiling. It was a bit of an early morning surprise to me.
The apartment was spacious and clean.
H.Standard 2 bed city view apartment: Clean, with a decent sized balcony. Very quiet inside the rooms considering it is in CBD, which makes for a great nights sleep. Friendly, kind and courteous staff. Fast lifts. Fantastic location. Would stay again.
L. S.The rooms are a lot smaller than the pictures would lead you to believe. The kitchen, bathroom and laundry are functional, but they're equipped with the bare minimum for one or two night's stay. It's quiet, and the view and location are ideal. We arrived though to find the pool closed for refurbishment, which was a huge disappointment to me and my toddler. There's a second bedroom in the ap pool apartment, but it"s locked, and there's an $80 a night extra fee to unlock it (no extra linen provided. My wife is planning to join us for two nights, but a folding bed is an extra $40 a night. Parking is an extra $30 a day. There are places just a good for less, so I can only give this one 4 stars
T. B.Reception is friendly and efficient, I had a two bedroom corner apartment with excellent views and a great layout. Everything was clean but showing small signs of wear. Internal laundry, small kitchen with a full sized fridge, four burner gas cooktop, oven, microwave and dishwasher. Everything you'd want for a longer stay. Nice outdoor area with table and chairs also.
W. B.My Wife and I stayed here on our wedding night because of convenience (we were married across the road at Customs House). We weren't expecting too much from the apartment however when we go there after our wedding we were presently surprised!
The staff had left us a bottle of Champagne on the kitchen bench with a card which my wife and I thought was a very nice personal touch. The room was spacious, modern, clean and had a great view!

The location of the hotel makes it a little tricky to get into but it's well worth it. Parking was great and felt secure too.

P. C.While me and my family are residents of the outer suburbs of Brisbane, it is nice to come into the city and stay a few nights at a lovely location. Oaks Aurora Tower was exactly that for us. Perfect location. Amazingly friendly and helpful staff (one staff member carried out bags all the way to our room). We had a great stay and would definitely recommend Oaks Aurora Tower to all our friends and anyone who was considering it! 5 Stars for sure!
A. D.My wife and I stayed here overnight on our wedding night. There was a bit of a hassle with the booking, but after sorting it the service was great. The room was very nice and the view was beautiful. Reception did make us walk down to reception to collect the food they originally said they would bring up, but another person gave us a bottle of wine the next morning.

L. H.Good location, friendly staff, good views from the 32 floor. Plenty of trendy cafes nearby and places to visit. Car parking was an absolute joke. $30/night and there was no spots left. Drove around for 20m very unhappy. $20/nigh for cot hire is not acceptable. most places don't charge for it. Fire alarms causing us to walk down 32 flights of stairs at 3am was also not fun.
W. E.The location was great. Very easy walk to all the sights. I had requested a 'room with a view' and got a room with a view of a construction site. My friend, who hadnt asked for a room with a view, got a river view. How does that work? The shower had mould around the tap and door. There was what looked like blood smear and drops on the bedroom curtains. The bench tops in the kitchen felt dirty to touch so needed a wipe down. And yet I was asked to leave the apartment clean and tidy. There was mould in the hallway carpet outside one of the apartments.

The reception is polite and willing to help with most requests. This tower also accommodates permanent residents. There is a well equipped gym and pool facilities.

Furniture is ageing and the internet is so slow that it is unusable. Hard to beat for the price. Pool was being maintained when I stayed which was not made clear when booking. Service is functional but that’s it.
L. C.This is a great hotel, close to the bars and restaurants of Eagle St Pier. I chose this location because we were having a work functions at River Bar and it was only a 5 minute walk. I picked up a great deal on Agoda for a very spacious and well appointed room with a very comfortable King bed. Parking was onsite for $35 per night which is around about standard for most city hotels. The location also lends itself to most city attractions either by walking or jumping on public transport. I would certainly recommend the Oaks Aurora Towers to any prospective visitors.

R. H.Fantastic views from room on 46th floor. Very central to Queen Street Mall and Fortitude Valley. Stayed in 2 bedroom apartment. Lounge area would be a bit tight with more than 2 people. Nice large bathroom/ laundry. With kitchen as well would be great for a longer stay. We only had access to over bedroom which was the one towards the middle of the apartment with only one small window at the end of a hall to see the view. Would have been nice top have the front bedroom with the view. Nice large balcony. Need a bitof a paint but highly recommended
H. L.Easy Parking behind Oaks Aurora in Rich Lane. Access this lane by driving around the other side of the block through 2 sets of lights. Turn left at second set and then left again into Rich Lane. Parking overnight is $30. Then $12.00 after 12:00pm the following day until 5:00pm if you're wanting to hang around the City.
Very close to the City Ferry Terminal.
Friendly staff. Our room wasn't ready at 2:00pm check in when we arrived at 3:00pm. They just gave us a different room strait away which was nice. Massive apartment but very musky smelling. Very dirty verandah with cheap table & chairs. The carpets needed cleaning and it needed to be aired out. No mini bar. Just a few saches of coffee and sugar. And tiny milk containers in fridge. Great view. The beds were the nicest part. So comfortable. Aircon was great!
If you're booking for a special occasion girls this is not the place. It it very business like and doesn't have a wow factor at all.
Pictures on the site look alot better than in real life.

A. X.Good location, close to CBD. but the room is bit old, carpet smells in the room. TV in the bedroom is 15inch, really?! elevator can be access to all levels, during peak hour expect to wait for 2/3 elevators, as it will be full when it gets to <20 levels.
outdoor swimming pool is not heated. Towels are not refreshed everyday.
T. A.Really great stay for 3 nights. Stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment on 32nd floor with great views of Brisbane River. The decor and condition was a bit tired but really clean. Has nice pool and okay gym for basic workouts.

Apartment missing quite a few utensils - vegetable peeler, slicer, colandar and no compendium so we didn't know what facilities were available. And had to use a bath towel to put under drainer as only one tea towel . And remember to take salt and peppers as, unlike other apartments there were none. And the toaster didn't work. But an enjoyable stay anyway is a lovely, clean apartment

T. J.Room was perfect, great view from the balcony on level 35, however the experience was marred by the fact that it takes 10 minutes to catch a lift down. Though there are 5 lifts, it seemed like one is only ever in operation, stopping for every person who presses the button to go down for lower levels. The decision making system for the lift pick up needs to be changed. Other than that, 4 stars!
M. C.Great location in the city CBD close to the eagle st pier and the Northside story bridge area for craft beers, food and Riverside eating for night-life. For dinner we had uber-eats delivered to the foyer and ate on the balcony (picture of the view supplied). There are a few small places to eat for breakfast within short walking distance. Room service is available. The kitchenette is modern and clean with fridge, gas stovetop and electric oven, pots, pans, cutlery supplied (ideal for longer stays). The bathroom is basic but clean - towels and soaps in limited supply. Parking below ground is pricey ~$30/night and alternatives are about the same. For ~160 per night it seems a bit of a price gouge. Would come here again.

When you rent a apartment with one bedroom, then the second bedroom with the fantastic view is locked if you don’t pay for an upgrade. The bedroom which you can use has just one small window.
D. S.Quick overnight stop for work staying in a 3 bedroom apartment with 2 work colleagues. Apartment was 2 level, spacious and clean but looking a little tired around the edges. Oddly there were only two ensuite bathrooms upstairs meaning the third person downstairs didn't have direct access to a bathroom but there was a toilet on the lower level. Location was good only 2 blocks from Queen St Mall.

H. M.This review for the Oaks Management team at Oaks Aurora Hotel. For over 10 years now I have let my apartment to Oaks. They have been very professional in all their dealings with me as an owner. In particular, the manager Daniel McInerny has been outstanding - his communications are quick, concise, accurate and mindful of the owner's interests. He is an outstanding leader of the Oaks team and an outstanding representative for the Oaks Hotel brand.
As a side issue - I can not understand that Google shows this hotel to be only three stars - it is closer to five stars. I have stayed there on several occasions.

M.Having stayed here more times then i have digits to count with, I can confidently say this is one of Brisbane's best hotels for price correlating to room quality and comfort. The beds are comfortable, staff helpful and it is worthwhile paying the extra 20 odd dollars for river views... these views are close to some of the best in Brisbane!

Before paying for a story bridge view for new years check that they are actually doing fireworks off the bridge. 711 downstairs and bottleshop handy.

The apartment was a decent size, clean, and had all the required facilities (though I had to go back down to reception to get the ethernet cable - they are better off installing WiFi in my opinion).
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the location is right in the heart of the city.
On top of this, the views from the balcony were amazing, looking over the Story Bridge, the River and parts of the city.

a.I came to oaks aurora tower for the night as my 2 year anniversary. The hotel was great. Very nice and clean. I stayed on the 51st floor and the view was amazing. The service up to my standards.

There is a supermarket, bottle shop and many cafes within walking distance. My room had a great view of the river, although inside is fairly dated.

a.Can we talk for a moment about the WiFi? Oakes offers 30min of complimentary WiFi access. It then asks that you pay (from memory) $5/30min. It's 2018, I'm sorry but this arrangement is completely at odds with the industry standard among Oakes contemporaries. WiFi is now a standard feature for all hotel rooms, just as the provision of an Iron or Kettle. This disappointment took the shine off an otherwise enjoyable stay.
